Play pre-recorded message

Hello,
I'm trying to set up a number such that when a caller calls the number, a pre-recorded message gets played.  The caller will not be able to leave a message/voicemail on this number though.  Here are the steps:
1. Caller dials number
2. Caller listens to pre-recorded message
3. Caller hangs up the phone
Is the above doable with Skype?  If so, how?
Thanks!

You can try the PrettyMay Call Center for Skype which can do what you want, learn more at:

  • How do you set a pre-recorded message to play when a caller calls your iPhone before you pick up?

How do you set a pre-recorded message to play when a caller calls your iPhone before you pick up? My office is trying to use an iPhone for our business, and we want to give a brief introductory message that the caller will hear, before we pick up the line. Are there ay apps for this? Thanks!

There is no setting for that on the phone. Some carriers provide ringback tones, which play instead of the caller hearing a ring. But I am not aware of an app that would play a message prior to you picking up the phone. The amount of time before you pick up is not a constant, and if it lasts too long, then the call would go to voicemail.

  • Pre-recorded message then hangup

    Hello,
I am looking at one of our numbers and would like to have the ability to set a recorded message to play when the number is called. Then at the end of the recorded message to hand up.
Is there a way to do this from Call Manager 7? Or will I have to push it through to UCCX7?
    Thanks
    Trevor.

If you just need a message to be played then you could potentially do this via voicemail as well.  If you have Unity or Unity Connection, you could configure a call handler (does not require a license) or mailbox for the DN and call forward all to VM.  Record the appropriate greeting and set the after greeting action to hang up.  When you do this, the call will be forwarded to VM where the greeting is played and then Unity/Unity Connection will immediately disconnect after the greeting.
You won't be able to do this natively with CUCM.  IMO, this option is probably the easiest.

  • CUCM & UCCX Outbound pre-recorded message

    Hello,
I have a customer that records all the calls that enters and exits some extensions in CUCM.
By legal request, and since he has a UCCX when a call arrives to those extensions I managed to route the call to UCCX, play a message like "your call will be recorded" and then forwarded to the extension.
Now the problem is that the customer also wants to do this automaticaly on outbound calls, i.e, extension 1111 calls outside number 222222222, he wants that 222222222 when answers listens the message "your call will be recorded" and then when the message ends, the call will be estabilished between 1111 and 222222222.
Is it possible to do that with the equipment that the customer have?
    CUCM: 8.6.2.200000-2
    UCCX: 8.5.1.11003-32
    Thanks in advance...

Awesome Anthoney, thank you very much. I was about to reply after having some issues, though I managed to get it working and the Trigger Application step mixed with two seperate scripts\applications (a triggering script with this step and a script with the actual outbound steps) did the trick.
    Thanks again

  • Options for pre-recorded voice paging

What options are there for pre-recorded voice paging on Cisco Phone Systems.
We are running Cisco Unity Express 3.1 on a Cisco 2851 and I have a ATA186 that connects to a PA System that has an extension assigned to it.
So what I would like to do is select between 2 or three pre-recorded messages and play it over that extension.
I know Informacast will do it but that is a little expensive in my opinion for what I want to do.

Take a look at SynApps SA-Announce and Broadcast Manager: http://syn-apps.com
Both are great products, compatible with CME, and are typically cheaper than other options.

  • Is there a way to pre-record the timing of the slides and effects in a keynote presentation, so that you can present it without having to press anything?

Hi! It would be great if someone could tell me how to pre-record timings in a keynote presentation, so that when presented, it plays by itself, based on the pre-set recordings. I know there is a way to do it by going to      Inspector>Document> Audio> Record          However when you do this, your computer also records the sounds it picks up with the microphone, which can greatly affect the sound. I have Keynote '09. Thanks in advance!

Open the Settings app > Notifications > Messages. Scroll down adn turn OFF "View In Lock Screen". You may want to consider setting Alert style to none, but this will not impact what happens when the screen is locked.

  • FaceTime to call a Pre-recorded Video?

I don't know if this is the right place. I would like to create "something" where a user could dial an actual number via FaceTime and reach a pre-recorded video viewable through FaceTime. For example, lets say I want a person to call 555-1234 via FaceTime and what they will get a video playing a movie trailer.
Anyone know how I can figure this out?

sorry, no answer... I'd just like to build on this if you don't mind.
How about including a FaceTime voicemail feature too. They call you, you're away and instead of an impersonal message, be able to SEE your FaceTime voicemail message?

  • How can I set up a default (pre-recorded) voicemail greeting on iphone 4s?

How can I set up a default (pre-recorded) voicemail greeting on iphone 4s?i dont want a custom one with my voice i want the pre-recorded where a lady says my number . how do i get that?

Voicemail is a cell phone carrier function.  Contact your carrier to see if they have this option.  If not, i'm sure you can download a sound file from the internet with a greeting and add your name.  Then play it back on you PC while holding your iPhone near the speaker when recording the greeting to voicemail.

  • CS5.5 will open a session or wav but won't play or record.

This is a strange problem because it was working before just fine. But now, when I open up my multitrack or just a simple wav, I can't get it to play or record or anything, all the buttons are faded. Sound works on my windows 7 system. Preferences -> Audio Channel Mapping reveals I have "HD Audio" for both recording L/R and playing L/R. Any help? :/

Go to Edit/Preferences/Audio Hardware and check what's selected there.  "HD Audio" sounds like you may be using a built in Realtek device.  You'll need to make sure that the proper output is selected there...maybe "Speakers" or similar, depending on your set up.  You also need to select what you want to record on the recording menu...maybe microphone.
Once you've checked this, also go to the Audio setup in your Windows control panel and make sure that both the Playback and Recording devices are set to the same sample rate (though a mis match here normally results in an error message.
One of the drawbacks of using the built in audio is that other applications can grab it and change the settings without you knowing.

  • How to visually separate elements in a pre-recorded song?

I'm hoping to use Audition in a research project to study patterns in music.  I just downloaded it last night and I'm using the trial period to evaluate if it will meet my needs.  I am running the program on a Mac.
As stated above, I'm hoping to use Audition in a research project. to study patterns in music.  I need to be able to do this with pre-recorded songs (songs downloaded from iTunes).  I do not need to actually separate vocals or other elements (i.e. only hear one or the other), but I am hoping to be able to visually see the vocals, melody, base, drums, other accompanying instruments separate from each others (see their separate frequency waves).  So for example, I would like to visually see the main vocals increasing in volume, changing from low to high notes, seeing a note sustained for a period of time, and noting how these patterns coincide with other elements in the song.
I am very much a novice so I am not able to describe this in "music terminology".  I have seen the "frequency displays" when playing a song that show the right and left channels - but all the elements are merged together making it impossible to really visually see any patterns.  I've tried to play around with some of the options in the effects menu (Amplitude and Compression; Filter and EQ), but I have not found an option that provides what I'm looking for.
Does Audition provide the feature I'm hoping for?  Can someone help point me in the right direction for achieving this?
    Thanks!!!!!

    Not really.
The only way to have visually separate elements is to have each element separate.  They'd exist this way in the original recordings prior to the mix but, as soon as they're mixed trying to split them out is like "trying to unbake a cake" (to use a common forum cliche).  If you think about it, this makes sense--440Hz from a human voice is the same as 440Hz from a piano--so in the display (which is a mix of amplitude and frequency) they show up as the same.
It MIGHT be worth you having a look at things in Spectral View.  This is a useful analytical tool for a lot of things and may show up some interesting stuff--but, even there, I doubt it would give all the info you want.
This isn't an Audition limitation by the way...I don't know of any audio software that can "unbake the cake" as you need to.
If it was me, instead of downloading finished songs from iTunes, I'd be approaching hobby musicians and asking/begging for copies of their original, pre-mixed tracks.  There are various home recording forums (indeed, one called "Home Recording") and some there might be able to help.  However, even with the original tracks, be aware that they don't necessarily show the levels graphically--typically there would be a display of the original track plus some sort of automation system (which may show you a line going up and down) indicating what is happening to the levels.

  • My iMovie voice recording is suddenly not working. As I record, it shows the green bars; however, when I play the recording it does not play my voice over at all nor show the green bars. I was mid-way through my project when this problem occured.

As I record, it shows the green bars; however, when I play the recording it does not play my voice over at all nor show the green bars. I was mid-way through my project when this problem occured. HELP!!!!

As far as I can see, it's random. Everything. Nothing makes any sense!
A the moment, the iPhone is playing music with the SIM card, but without anything plugged into it, but it's occasionally fading in and out.
Oh, and I doubt this is related, but about two months ago the iPhone failed to show that the battery was draining - it was stuck at 100%. This went on for a few days, it wouldn't even warn me at the 20% mark, it would just shut off. This happened for at least three full charges - I remember at one point it suddenly started working again at about the 70% mark, I'm not sure if it was alright after that or if it went glitchy on the next charge... but in any case, the problem mysteriously never reappeared after those few days.

  • From where to listen the recorded messages?

    Hi,
We have a network which consists of CUCM, UCCX, AQM, CUC. During after hours, if someone calls, the IVR will ask to press * to record a message. But from where shall we listen to these recorded messages?
    Thanks in advance

That wouldn't be enough information to answer your question.
Are you an administrator of the phone system or a supervisor?
All of those products are capable of recording a phone call, but since you mentioned the IVR, it's like narrowed down to UCCX and/or AQM.
UCCX is playing the IVR for sure, and cannot record the call in the IVR, only once it lands on the Agent, which really just leaves AQM.  But I'm guessing here, based on limited information.
If you also agree that it's AQM that is doing the recordings, which I'm not even positive it can record a call at the IVR level, then you would need to access the web interface for AQM to listen to the recordings.
If you post your IVR script from UCCX, we could see what is happening after the user presses *.  Such as sending an HTTP POST to AQM or the like.

  • Closed Captioning with Adobe Presenter 10 and pre-recorded audio

I'm working with Presenter 10. Pre-recorded narration has been imported. The script text has been copied into the notes section of PowerPoint. The audio plays fine in the flash file. When I click CC the closed captioning highlight moves through the text but it is not in sync with audio. Is there a way to manually adjust the movement of the highlighting so that that it is in sync with the audio? If not, is there some other way to get pre-recorded narration to be in sync with the original script?
    Thanks!

After HOURS on the phone with Adobe people and them being completely useless i finally figure out why i am getting crashes when hitting record.
Presenter 10 doesnt work with Multi Monitor Setups (at least some of them)
Im not sure if anyone else has multi monitors and uses Presenter successfully but that was why mine crashes.
This amazes me quite honestly...Powerpoint by nature is designed to support 2 screens...1 for the presentation and 1 for the controls...for Presenter 10 to not support such a basic thing is absurd.
Come on Adobe you have been through 10 versions of Presenter and you cant get this right?
This is like removing the start bar from Windows!!!

  • This disc can be neither played nor recorded

I'm working on an HD project for the first time in DVD Studio Pro and every disc I burn is rejected by my Sony DVD Player/Recorder with a message saying "This disc can be neither played nor recorded." I've done several projects in SD and never had a problem. The same DVDs play fine on my MacBook Pro and look great.
I've used the same source file from Final Cut Pro to burn a disc in iDVD and that does play on the Sony DVD deck, however the quality isn't great. The image has some jaggies. Those jaggies are also present when played on my laptop's DVD player. In contrast, discs burned using DVD Studio Pro look great on the laptop. Very clean. They just won't play in the DVD deck.
The project was shot using DVCPRO HD 1080i60. I'm burning on my laptop's Super Drive. Below are the Preference settings I'm using (at least the ones that seem relevant to HD).
    Project
    DVD Standard: HD DVD
    General
SD DVD Menus, Tracks, and Slideshows > Display Mode: 16:9 Letterbox
HD DVD Menus, Tracks, and Slideshows > Resolution: 1920 x 1080i / Display Mode: 16:9 Letterbox
    Simulator
Playback Output > Resolution: HD 1080 / Display Mode: 16:9
    Encoding
    Field Order: Auto
    Bit Rate: 18.0 Mbps
    Max Bit Rate: 27.0
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks much --

Oh for crying out.... Yep, you're right. Well, that was unbelievably easy (and stupid) to resolve.
    Thanks for your help!

  • Folder location of pre-recorded flv file

    I have a pre-recorded flv file that I've placed in a
sub-folder within the applications folder of Media Server. When I
run my Flash movie within Flash or on my localhost using IIS, the
Media Server Management Console shows my flv streaming. This only
seems to work, though, if I also have the flv file in the same
folder or sub-folder relative to my swf and html files and the
contentPath perimeter of the on-stage video component points to
this flv folder/sub-folder. Question: does the flv need to be in
both these locations? The documentation is not clear about
    this.

This makes me suspect that you're not actually connecting to
FMS, but rather, just playing the progressive http video. If you
leave the flv in the http directory (and remove the file from the
fms directory) does it still play?
If you want to connect to an FMS stream, your content path
will be an rtmp location, not an http location. It will look
    something like this:
    rtmp://myfmsserver.com/myApplication/myVideo
I don't use the prefab media components, so I don't know if
it wants the .flv extension at the end of the url.
