Play stops in the middle of a playlist ??
Hi, forum noob here. Don't know if it's been asked before but a search through iTunes Support articles turned up a big bupkis. Nada. Zilch. You get the picture.
Situation as follows: I've located the three albums I have in my Music library, of a specific artist; I double-tap the cover of the first album to begin play from top to bottom, and I am in Album view. I.T then proceeds with the first song as normal, e.g playing time runs normally in the whatchamacallit top bar and the song name is correct. Song #2 -- plays normally, top bar displays name of song #1 and elapsed time is 0:00 (woo-hoo!)
Here comes the drop: around song #5 (of 12), when play reaches the end of the song, I.T stops. Music goes quiet. As I'm working on other stuff, I look up, startled, mouth an exasperated "what the...", and hop over to I.T.
Top bar still show song name #1 and elapsed time 0:00 (yeah, d'oh, the music's stopped!)
This happens in some smart playlists as well as in the main Music lib. Party Shuffle seems to be unaffected however. So -- can someone tell me how I fix this?
Oh, FYI, it doesn't seem to matter if I play HQ MP3s or AACs. And I'm on a G4 Mini with Not Enough RAM...

I don't know the answer to your problem. However, you should be aware that this is a User-to-User forum. Apple employees don't generally post here. When they do, it's usually forum moderators letting people know that a particular post has violated the Terms of Use.

Whenever I play this one song on my iPod nano, it stops in the middle and skips to the next song. It's the same for iTunes. I had looked it up on other forums and other people with the same problem were told that they had to reinstall iTunes or something, not sure I'll really have to do that. Thank you for any advice!
Well, the problem is with iTunes, too. It will still skip on there. Will I have to delete it from there and download it again.

I recently got the iPhone 5s and I transferred all of my music, pictures, etc. over from my iPhone 5. My music was playing fine the day I got it (2 days ago) and now my music skips, stops in the middle of the songs, or just stops playing and exits. It was just working and now it wont. What is wrong? What can I do?
Not sure if this will help but a reset is the first thing to try. To reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.

Animation stops in the middle when preview in browser
I have run into a problem where the animation stops in the middle when I preview it in browser, but it is fine when I play it in the program. Please advise how to fix this problem. Thank you very much.
RamonI've had this problem with a purchased song but never a ripped song. I think its an encoding problem with iTunes. One poster suggested converting the song, which kind of tells us that its something to do with the encoding. I can't remember the song that this happened with, some Tom Petty tune. But I do remember this, which is strange, this happened on my Touch but not the iPhone with same song.

I have an Ipod classic 120gb. I have approximately 2000 songs on it. When I put it on shuffle to play it, it stops in the middle of songs and moves to the next. This happens every other two songs or so. Please help!
Try playing the song again and if it does it in the same spot on both your ipod and itunes then you have a corrupted file. You need to re-download the song. Don't worry, this is free if you bought it on iTunes. First, verify that you did buy the song on iTunes and not anywhere else. Go to the iTunes store. On the right hand side of the window there is a column named quick links. Look for "Purchased" about 2/3 of the way down. Click on it. The next window that shows up should show you all the tunes you have bought. Find your tune and you'll see that is says "downloaded." Now you know you have the tune.
Now go back to your music library on the left hand column of the window. Click on Music. Find that tune that is giving you the problem. Delete the song.
Now go back to the iTunes store like before and go back to your "purchased" list. The page needs to be reloaded Press the back button and then click "purchased" again on iTunes so the list reloads. Find your tune again. Now instead of it saying "Downloaded," it has a picture of a cloud with an arrow pointing down. Click on it and the tune will download again with, I hope, no problems. I forgot about slow download speed's negative effects... hence (I think) the videos I downloaded stop in the middle. I can get a better download speed if I connect directly to LAN. Is there anyway for me to fix the videos previously purchased or re download them without having to re purchase them? I'm attempting to play the video's directly from iTune "purchased" folder on my Win7 Home Premium PC.
Never mind.. I found instructions on how to re download purchased items. I only need help downloading 2 more items. I love the attention I've recieeved (I guess silly questions go unoticed... sigh)

2 of my rented movies just stopped in the middle of the movie. Is it possible to redown load them free of charge? If not what other recourse is there for movies that do not down load properly?
If it's not playing properly then try the 'report a problem' link from your purchase history : log into your account on your computer's iTunes via Store > View My Account and you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it ; click on that and you should see a list of your purchases ; find that film and use the 'Report a Problem' link.

Ok. So my iTunes started acting up a few months ago. ALL of the songs I purchased from the iTunes store stop in the middle of the song and then go back to the begining (I keep it on repeat one song by the way). Please help!!! (Windows 7) I would really like to hear my songs all the way through, but I can't . I tried the "Convert Protected ACC files to Purchased ACC files fix" but it DIDN'T work. I don't know what to do. It does it when I transfer the music onto my Classic too.

ok im in need of some help i had just bought a brand new ipod touch from walmart and when i got it home i was trying to cope with all the new things on it and i was just fooling around like figuring where things where at and i put a passcode on my ipod and i must of not typed it in right and now my ipods disabled because i tryed to many times and im at my tenth time and i misspelled it obvi and now i need help i plugged it into intunes put it into recovrey mode and then restored it and it stopped in the middle of the restore mode and now it wont finish and im still locked out of my ipod and i need help i mean i just got it and it would be nice if anyone knew that could help me.???? please i cannot figure this out and usually i am very good at ipods and stuff but this time i am stummped and i dont want to call apple to hasel anyone ...anything thats helpful im grateful to hear thanks soo much

Help! AME Stops in the Middle of Encoding - AME 5.5
Hello - I am hoping someone can help me as I am hitting a brick wall with my production suite! I am going to be as detailed as possible however I am not an expert in how software and my hardware interact.
Issue - My Adobe Media Encoder stops in the middle of encoding and does not complete the task in the queue.
Software -
1. Adobe Production Premium - Premiere Pro CS 5.5 (v5.5.2) and Adobe Media Encoder (v5.5.1.12)
2. Mac OSX v10.7.5
Hardware -
1. 12GB Ram
2. ATI Radeon HD 5770 1024MB Graphics Card (obviously not supporting Mercury Engine)
3. 2x 2.4GHz 6-Core Intel Zeon
Issue History
- Until this point, all of my projects, videos, and exported media have been 78 minutes or less. I am now working on a project that is 112 minutes of full HD footage. Before Thursday, AME has performed flawlessly for me. The project in Premiere Pro has source video footage that is 1920x1080 29.97 (50mbps). On this Premiere Sequence there are several dynamically linked AE compositions with upper and lower thirds and titling. Finally, there are maps that are in native 720p size movies that are scaled to fit throughout the program at the beginning of each chapter.
- I am attempting to export and encode this video for use in Encore. I have queued the project for export out of Premiere into AME using the following settings:
H.264 Blu-ray
Video Only
VBR 1-pass
Custom Bitrate - 26.5 target, 35 max
Render at Maximum Depth
Use Maximum Render Quality
Prior to Updates in Software:
- On Thursday I queued 4 files for export: 2- PCM audio only files, 1-H.264 Blu-ray video only, and MPEG-2 DVD video only
- AME ran over night and produced the following: 2 audion files completed successfully, 1 H.264 file completed successfully, MPEG2 file seemed to be 'hung up" and AME was not responding.
- Shut down/forced quite AME and tried to encode only the H.264 file. The encode failed as it hung up at different points in each attempt in AME.
- I searched and installed updates for my adobe production suite (premiere pro, AME, and others were updated to the versions listed above).
- Friday I attempted to export the H.264 file from Pr to AME and it encoded successfully!
After Updates were Installed:
- I had to make some additional revisions to the project in Pr after reviewing a draft Blu-ray. Now trying to export the revised video has failed each attempt:
- On Saturday, I experienced the following results with AME:
2 PCM Audio Only files - encoded successfully in AME (with Pr running)
H.264 Video Only file (specs above) failed - the AME froze about 1/3 through the composition.
At this point I shut the computer down and let it sit overnight.
- Today (Sunday), I tried again and experienced the following:
H.264 Video Only encode (same specs) though this time I shut down Pr thinking this would save RAM and the encode failed again. I did notice that it locked up at the same point as the previous attempt on Saturday which was a new symptom.
RAM usage was 7-9GB during the encode.
The place where AME locks up is immediately before a transition from the source video to the 720p map footage. Although there are two other segments with the same transitions and 720p footage that it did encode through.
I have researched this issue on this forum and have read the following thread thoroughly: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/856263
The above thread described the issue I was encountering before I installed the updates precisely. But now I am still unable to successfully encode this project in AME to H.264?
I am hoping someone can provide something to help, I have a completed project and I can't get it encoded! (I contacted Adobe and they said my SW was now unsupported from their customer service).

So your advice would be to pursue Adobe Technical Support on this issue? I wasn't sure how to go about this since I really haven't had an issue until now... the production suite does a spectacular job with everything else! Just need to get my finished program encoded.... -
when i plug my ipod in it says ipod cant be read cuz the apple mobile device is not started.And i went to services and apple mobile device properties and start stops in the middle.and its on automatic.and there isnt a stop button.when i click start it says the apple mobile device services stopped in the middle then stopped.it said some services stop in the middle if not used by other services.and i just updated itunes before all a this and ever since ive had errors.

Printer stops in the middle of a page
stops printing in the middle of a sheet of paper and error code 0xb981b005 165:hw_interupt-hwv2.c comes up. The printer still says it is printing, but won't cancel or turn off. This has happened over and over. We unplug it and sometimes it will start and print a few things left in memory and then stop in the middle of a paper. Now the error code is 0x8810a620. We really like this printer and will appreciate any help you can give us. Thank you.

You don't indicate which printer that you have. Depending on the printer, there is a list of Ox error codes and documents for troubleshooting the associated codes. Most of the codes associate with an ink cartridge failure, but not always.
You could find your product support page for your product and input 0x in the search field. In some cases, two documents might show up. One of them walks you through how to reset your product. I've attached the link to that one here. I believe it is for most Officejets and Photosmart printers.

I downloaded iPhoto Library upgrader, installed and attempted to use it. It stops in the middle of operation and will not finish. Now I cannot open my iPhoto Library! I'm freaking out a little. When I try to open iPhoto, it tells me I need to "prepare it" with the upgrader program. When I select iPhoto Library as the Library I want to upgrade, it tells me I don't need to upgrade it and should be able to open it with iPhoto. Ugh. Help??
If your photos have any value to you you should have an ongoing backup program - TimeMachine is a good first choice
For this purpose simply duplicating the iphoto library is adequate since you are not trying to protect against human or hardware failures - just against a rare rebuild issue

I upgraded a week ago and every since it constantly stops in the middle of running and says "Mozilla Firefox not responding" the screen goes grey and the the little blue circle goes around and around its so annoying and does it all the time like while I'm typing this it has happened twice, it didn't do this till I updated.
hummm never had it do that till I upgraded last week PLUS I lost all my Favorites/Bookmarks that really pissed me off my husband and I lost ALL of them I have had them for years and I upgrade and lose them can't even tell you how mad we were 8o/ very frustrating to say the least.
