Play swf in windows mobile.

HI all,
I wanted to play swf files in my windows mobile 6.1 and installed the software from
http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer_pocketpc/downloads/player.html
but I am still not able to run any files.
Am I on the correct way or is there any other software I need to install....??
Suggestions are welcome.
Thanks in advance.
Pranav Shah

Hello Everybody.
I downloaded the trial first, which was limited in that no video conversion could be carried out.  Bit of a waste of time as far as writing a review on the software was concerned so I purchased the full version using the link on the trial screen...

Thanks.

  • Playing Shockwave Flash (.swf) in Windows Mobile 6

We have developed a web application that ultimately presents as a .swf file. This runs on a pc through a browser. I would like to demonstrate the app on a Windows Mobile 6 device (HTC). I am completely confused about whether this is possible and what I need to install to enable this. I have installed Flash Player Lite 2.1 but this does not play the .SWF. Can anybody help, please? The phone as IE & Opera browsers pre-installed but no Flash player.

Thanks for this but the .SWF file is still treated as a download and
does not play in the browser. On another forum  somebody said that this
is because IE for WM6 does not suport ACtiveX which is needed to install
    the plugin.
I have now (partially got round the problem) by using a new
flash-supporting b rowser called SkyFire. This runs the .SWF but does
not present full-screen and does not recognise flash entry fields as
text so does not give access to the virtual keyboard, which is a little
annoying. This is a new product so hopefully later versions will be better.

  • Swf on window mobile 2003

    Hi!
I have to do a flash application that runs on window mobile
2003. It uses ExternalInterface.addCallback method.. I have some
problems with it on my pc because it doesn't work but recently I
learned that it could due to security rules on flash player 8 but
what about flash on window mobile? Also on it I could have some
    problems using ExternalInterface.addCallback method.?
In that case what I have to do?
    Thanks

the Character is not equals charIt should be, but it seems we don't have total symmetry of types yet. See [finish primitive-sequence to primitive-array conversions|http://javafx-jira.kenai.com/browse/JFXC-3257] bug, for example, or [nativearray of byte|http://javafx-jira.kenai.com/browse/JFXC-3325] which will be fixed in SoMa (JavaFX 1.3?).
    I tried:
    var foo = "{[ 1 .. 400 ]}";
    var dummy = foo.substring(0, 1024);
    var buff: nativearray of Character = dummy.toCharArray();
    println(sizeof buff);and I get an error: TestPlain.fx:21: incompatible types
    found   : nativearray of Character
    required: nativearray of java.lang.Character
    var buff: nativearray of Character = dummy.toCharArray();
                                         ^
1 errorAnd if I write: var buff: nativearray of Character = dummy.toCharArray() as nativearray of Character; I get a compiler crash...
I see, looking at [String(byte...) doesn't compile|http://javafx-jira.kenai.com/browse/JFXC-2852] bug, SequenceConversions class in the webrev.zip file, that we don't have a toCharArray method yet. Either an overview or some technical issue, I don't know.
So it looks like there are still some holes in nativearray support (it was presented as "experimental" in JavaFX 1.2 release announcements...).
PS.: I am not a Sun employee, I don't know Chinese, I don't have a Windows Mobile phone and I didn't even tried the mobile emulator yet (just tried, seems hard to use outside of NetBeans, which I don't have), among other problems. So I fear I am not the best help you can get, don't put high hopes on me... :-P

Im maybe in the market for a NAS and a new router (N, may as well go best speed can), I was looing at getting the buffalo Linkstation, and a Belkin 'N' router, but then read about Time CApsule, which will basically be the same price. A few questions if I may

    2) Can I use it as a normal NAS drive for Winodws XP machines and as a Time CApsule for my iMac for Time Machine
3)Can I use it for XBMC streaming froma Xbox 1?

    Thanks for reply.
Sinc you hve one can you help a little more.
So PSP you can play games over the internet no problems using TC?
XBMC is on my Xbox 1 (not 360) and is Xbox Media Centre, basically a media centre lke Windows Media Centre, I belive it uses SAMBA to stream stuff, so my question is (also for Windows PCs) can they connect and stream from a TC NAS drive?
So have you got movies for example on your TC, will it stream them to your PS3 ok? (this should work for my Xbox 360 then?)
Can you access the TC NAS drive from over the internet? eg if you were at a friends, is there a possibility to connect (FTP or otherwise) to your TC, to get some files?

  • Compatibility with Windows Mobile 5.0 ?

Does anyone know if Flex apps would work on PocketPCs, ie.
    using Windows Mobile 5.0?
    I haven't purchased one yet, so I can't test.
At this link, Adobe identifies Flash Player 7 for Pocket PC:
    http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer_pocketpc/
This page identifies FlashLite 2.1 which seems to be based on
    Flash Player 7
but includes Action Script 2.0 support:
    http://www.adobe.com/products/flashlite/
Does anyone know for sure? We'd like to do some monitoring
    & reporting
in Flex & make it available on the go for people, but
don't want to go buy the phones
until we know it is possible.
    Thanks

If so, then Flash is installed fine. Note, though, that Flash
    content will

  • Flash on windows mobile 6 and camera connection

Hy, student from netherlands and we need to use flash lite

Now I have pocket pc with windows mobile 6 pro, but when I
install flash player 2.1 in the browser we get popup do download

"Does anybody have an idea how we can get Flash to get more memory from the system, please?"
We've encountered this problem a year ago.
    There are 2 solutions :
    - compress MP3/FLV at the maximum (in file size) to reduce memory consumption and set a timer of 60 seconds before loading another MP3/FLV to let the garbage collector of Flash Player to free memory.
    - use an external MP3 Player (Windows Media or TCPMP), if you configure the player to launch automatically when double clicking on .mp3 files, you just have to call fscommand("launch", "test.mp3");
The problem is then to hide the MP3 Player.
Using Janus-Flash, you can "Set Top Most" Flash Player so the MP3 Player is hidden.
Using this method we managed to play 15 MB MP3, and switch almost instantly to another big MP3 file.
Check Janus-Flash Forum to find the solution. The exe to set top most is called "Janus Kiosk.exe".
    Best luck.

  • Flash lite 2.1 player  for window mobile 6.0 or 6.1

Is the Flash Lite 2.1 player available for window mobile 6.0
or 6.1? If it is so, where can I download ?

    Hi Jerry,
There is a FL2.1 player for WM 5 devices
    available
here. Note this is for playing back SWF files outside of the
browser - it's not a browser plug-in for Pocket IE.
We have not tested this on any WM6 or 6.1 devices so it's not
possible for me to say if it will work or not.

  • PalmOS vs Windows Mobile

    Hi,
Probably this subject has already emerged here. I´m a owner of a Palm TX and I like it. So, I´m interested to buy a smartphone and I don´t know whether by a palm with windows mobile or with palm OS. I like the palm OS application. But, windows mobile seens more modern.
I want to know the opition of the community and possible customers that has tasted  these products.
What do you recommend? Pros vs Contras?

I switched from Palm OS to Windows Mobile, and I'll tell you one thing: while WM may be complicated at times, you can sure tweak the snot out of it. My 8125 (not Palm, but still WM) looks and acts very little like a standard WM setup because of apps like PointUI's Home, A_C's S2U2, S2P, and S2V, WKTask, random little registry tweaks (some via .cab installer, some manual), and TCPMP. Palm OS can't mulititask, use multiple connections at once (e.g. while a WM device can be downloading your email through 3G and FTPing something with WiFi, you can still talk on the phone without stopping anything. On Palm OS, you can't talk and update anything at the same time, only one active connection is all it's capable of), play flash .flv and .swf, or beat the iPhone in web browsing (Skyfire, while you can't log in - at least not yet - can do Hulu because it renders server-side. iPhone can't because - no flash. Safari crashes while loading Hulu while Skyfire just plays the vids without a hitch. Palm OS has Blazer, the unfinished Universe browser, and NetFront hacked off a Sony Clié...). WM's PIMs are also almost as good as Palm OS's. They're just a bit more cluttered and are missing a few things that just make them easier to use. But unlike Palm OS where I was constantly losing random Calendar appointments because of data corruption during a sync, WM hasn't done anything worse than a duplicate of all my repeating events, and that was ActiveSync and Outlook's fault.
TCPMP on the Palm can play most MPEG, JPEG, PNG, Bitmap, and Apple/Linux formats, but TCPMP for WM can play 26 formats. And most of those are general "MPEG-format video" descriptions, which this example includes .mpg, .mp2, and .mp4, as well as others I've surely missed.
WM hasn't crapped out nearly as bad as Palm OS has, although I've never been able to accidentally rotate my screen 180 degrees - in portrait - on Palm OS like I've already done on WM. But that's why you don't edit registry keys if you aren't sure what they do...
    Good luck.
@CHARLIEJJ: Palm's new OS is called Nova ATM, which is Latin for "new", the term used in astronomy to describe a bright explosion of a dwarf star, and when split into two words, "no va", means "doesn't go" in Spanish. Palm is holding an invitation-only event, and nobody seems to know what exactly Palm will reveal, although it probably (hopefully) is Nova.
Palm is also holding a contest, and the winner gets a free trip to that event.

  • ITunes Windows XP, want to move music to my Window mobile 6.1 HTC Ozone

I purchased a gift card so I could download music and ringtones and put them on my phone. I am using iTunes on my Windows XP PC.
It appears there is no itunes application for Windows Mobile and from what I am reading I cannot play them on another application because of a proprietary format. Am I missing something? Did I waste my money?

  • Flash Player for Windows Mobile 6.1

Was just curious if there is any way to get flash player on my windows mobile 6.1  or if it s already installed.  i've done a lot of reading and get conflicting information.  Now if its on the phone then why can i not play some of the flash on adobes website?  I have the XV6800 (HTC).

How is it that on a site that employees frequent that i cannot even get an answer?

  • How do i play itunes in windows media

How can I play itunes in windows media?  I can burn in windows media, but in itunes it says it can't find the device.  Please advise.

You don't "play iTunes" in Windows Media. Both of these apps are media players: one native to Mac OSX-- iTunes and the other native to MS-- XP; Vista; Win7. The popularity of iPods initially, then iPhones and now iPads caused Apple to make iTunes+QuickTime available for Windows users who wanted to own and use those mobile devices but retain their Windows machines. The issue that you are asking is whether or not you can play your audio files in WinMedia instead of in iTunes. Yes, you can. You will need to launch Windows Media player and import into the library the audio files which are "living" in iTunes. Actually they are in the "My Music" folder of your home on the C: drive.

  • Test Pocket PC or Handheld ( windows mobile 5.0) application

Is there any tools that can be used to automate the testing of Pocket PCs or Handheld ( windows mobile 5.0) application?
Message was edited by: DHIMANT AMIN

    Dhimant Amin,
I have not done any Pocket PC testing so I am not sure how good any of the tools out there are but a few years back I did some WAP testing and the key is to have an emulator that something can drive. As I was testing WAP I was able to use e-Tester with the proxy on to gather the http requests, but depending on what your application under test does this may not be an option.
If that is the case there are a number of test suites out their for PocketPC and other devices. From what I have seen these fall into two categories: a device emulation like what i used, and some tools that actually drive the physical device connected to the machine via Bluetooth or USB. I can see good and bad points of both.I think I would use an emulator or at least stick with a particular device early on in the testing phase to focus on testing the core functionality you are developing. Then the physical device tester may be useful for compatibility testing if the product allows the same script to be played back for different devices.
