Play the 1st Song in iTunes

Question

I would like to play the 1st song at the top of whatever current window is open in itunes...
q: -- how do i say: set sel to first song at the top of the current list?
btw: I tried: set sel to item 1 of front browser window - but it didn't work

one caveat with the repeat 22 times , it doesn't works properly if the shuffle or the song repeat is ON.
Here is a script that works in all cases.
set the clipboard to "fun song" as string

  set view of front browser window to playlist "Music"

  keystroke "f" using {command down, option down}
  keystroke "v" using command down

set x to the clipboard

  set fixed indexing to false -- the tracks will be sorted as the playlist

  play item 1 of (search (view of front browser window) for x) --  play first track in the founded tracks
