Play video from any embed code
Is it possible to make a video player in Flash such that it can play videos in any Embed code. I don't think it is possible but would like to confirm...
Embed codes are provided by various websites to play flash videos in their video player. Is it possible to make a custom video player which can play video from any such site?

I get a message saying there is an error and to try again later. Trying later doesn't seem to have helped. The videos in question are normal "news", youtube, etc. nothing exotic. again, my other browsers seem unaffected.
This may be caused by a recent Flash 11.3 update.

If you can't get Flash 11.3 to work and need to revert to Flash 11.2 then you can download the Flash 11.2 player via this direct link:

If you are having issues with your iPhone not playing video from any source, you may want to try some things to troubleshoot.
First, quit all running applications and test again -
iOS: Force an app to close
Next, I would try restarting the iPhone -
Turn your iOS device off and on (restart) and reset
If the issue is still present, you may want to restore the iPhone as a new device -
How to erase your iOS device and then set it up as a new device or restore it from backups

Firefox hangs when i try to play flash videos from any site but when i run firefox as administrator it works fine. (but Google Chrome, Opera & I.E9 Plays videos without running as administrator.) I am using Windows 7 & Firefox 7.0.1. Please help.A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

Cannot play any video from any website in Mozilla after installing Java 6 update 33, and adobe flash player 11 plugin. However, I can play videos from Google Chrome and also from Internet Explorer. For example, when I'm trying to play a you tube video in Mozilla, a black screen comes up with following error message: "An error has occurred. Please try again later."
(This is like the Wizard of Oz -- when the man comes to the little window in the door and says to Dorothy, "Come back tomorrow." )This may be caused by a recent Flash 11.3 update.

Which is why you can not use the remote app. Did you turn on home sharing on your computer and on ATV?

Did you enter the ApplieID in the home sharing login though? Or just in for the iTunes store, or iCloud, or photo sharing, or something else?

That would be AirPlay, not homesharing. THey are not related. Did you enable air play on all the devices?
Have you run the network test tools on ATV? Can ATV access the iTunes store, Netflix, etc? -
Playing video from a capture device - Out of memory for video buffers?
Hello guys, I'm having problems playing video from a video capture device when not using JMStudio. When I use JMStudio, the video plays real time with no problems, but when I use code taken from a java book which is a simple Media Player, I get the following error:
"Error is Error: Out of memory for video buffers."
My capture device is working and I don't know why i get this error when trying to watch the video feed from a program other than JMStudio. I also tried different code that has worked in the past with the same exact capture device and I still get the same error. Please help, I have no clue at this point. The code for the simple media player is below, it's taken out of the book "Java: How to Program (4th edition)":

I developed a similar implementation of this for a client and it works fine. It's based on using a sequential InputStream as a DataSource for the media player. As you may already know, the Java Media Framework does not seem to support URLDataSource and/or sequential InputStreams.
This code allows you to play media from nothing more than an InputStream without downloading it all into memory or to a local file. It uses a ringbuffer as a compromise along with some other enhancements. -
I am not able to play videos from YouTube, or videow posted on my blog, when I use Fire Fox. That did not happened before the 3.6.14 and allthouhg you informed us that with the 3.6.15 the problem will dissapear, it does not happen. Take into consideration that, with explorer, everything is running fine. I am a long time user o firefox and I donnot want to change. Please give me advise how to solve thiw problem. Windows iTunes won't play video from shared libraries
Hey guys.
There are 4 computers with itunes in my house. I have a MBP and a Mac Mini with 10.6.4. Also, my brothers have 2 PCs with Windows 7.
I store my media on the Mac, but would like to share it with them thru iTunes on the other PCs. So, we all set up library sharing and updated to iTunes on all machines to 10.0.1.
Problem is: The windows PCs can't play any shared video.
Whether it's from Mac or PC, iTunes on the Windows PCs can't stream any videos from any of the other 3 shared libraries. The Macs do it fine from the other sources, Windows PCs don't.
All that being said, the Windows PCs do play video in their own libraries. Just not Shared ones.
As I said, all 4 PCs have the latest OSs, iTunes and QT. Any ideas?It has to do with how I was transscoding the videos. Handbrake tags the videos in a way that makes it impossible to play in Windows. Retagging with a program like MetaX will solve the issue.

I am trying to get videos to play videos from within a PhoneGap app across IOS/Android/WP8 that will play videos contained within the phonegap app. I have accomplished getting videos on Android and IOS but getting it working on WP8 has left me stumped
as I have not been able to find anyone even attempting to getting videos to play from within a phonegap application on WP8. So if anyone knows how to do this, or any suggestions of what direction I should look for a solution (I'm assuming it doesn't
work as because of how IE treats videos on WP8 and will not load off the device)

How do I play video from photostream on apple TV?
PhotoStream is now available on my applet TV and the notes on the upgrade said I could play video from my Photo Stream. However the Photo Stream on the apple TV only presents photos for viewing. Any idea on how to get it to show my videos?

Try to download the application VLC.
It is a media player that should be able to play any audio or video file you may have. If your videos play flawlessly using that application, then the issue is with iTunes and Quicktime, as they are both essentially similar software types when it comes to playing media.
In that case you may need to install a plug-in file called Perian, in order for the videos to play correctly within iTunes or at least Quicktime...
