Playback Controls won't work

I just installed CS4 Production Premium after upgrading my RAM to 3GB, and the playback control doesn't work. However,all of the other buttons work. The "record" button brings up the recording dialog, etc. Does anyone have any idea what is going on here?
Earlier, I was able to get a file to play, but it suddenly started looping about 1 sec of audio and the only way to shut things up was to quit Soundbooth completely.
computer specs:
2.8ghz P4
3gb RAM
plenty of HD space.

Thanks for the reply. You're right; it is Windows. I restarted a few times before I even posted the initial question, and never had any luck with playback. Record actually did work, I just had to open the file in Media Player to hear it, after forcing SoundBooth to quit (and the random looping trouble I mentioned initially). Here are the settings I have available in Record Settings:

Now, after writing all this, I opened a WAV file I have on my computer, and tried to play it. SoundBooth crashed. I reopened SoundBooth, and opened the same WAV file & selected play. The file began looping the first second of audio, while the red timeline kept moving along, as if the rest of the file was playing correctly. I know the WAV file is not corrupt, because it's a line of dialog that I used for an animation test in Flash. I restarted again, and tried to record an old 45 record with a Numark USB turntable. It recorded fine, but upon playback, it got about 10 seconds in, when it began that 1 second loop thing again, while the timeline indicated the file was playing through. I checked the file with media player, and it's OK.

Video playback control won't show after upgrade to 3.1

Hi,
I have a iPod Touch 2nd Generation. After upgrading from 2.2 to 3.1, when I tap the video during video playback, the playback control won't show. I have to tap it many many times in order for the playback control to show. Does anyone have the same problem? Does anyone know how to fix it? It is upsetting to pay for an upgrade that would break existing behavior.

I have the same problem and the reset didn't fix it. In fact I went in to the store and the Apple Genius saw the issue and replaced my ipod with a rebuilt ipod that had ipod 2.x software. I upgraded it to 3.2 and once again the playback controls don't show up. Called support and they think it's a bug ... hoping for a fix.

No, the versions of iPhoto on the iPad and on OS X are totally different.
What Apple ID are you using for the Mac App Store? Who else has access to that Apple ID, or what possible other Apple IDs could be in use? It's possible you'll need to purchase iPhoto to get the upgrade, though I'd think Software Update should offer you the correct version.

Musicapp, speaker and volume control won't work since updated to iOS 7.1

Since I updated my iPhone 4 to iOS 7.1 my iPhone works faster than iOS 7. But some apps like musicapp, youtube have no volume control and the speakers won't work. When somebody call me the iPhone rings normally. I tried turn off bluetooth because I thought the iPhone will conect to my car. I pressed the lock and homebutton for reseting, I deletetet my whole iPhone and installed iOS7.1 again - nothing changed. Only when i plug in my earphones everything will work as normal.

i think this isn't the problem!

it seems to be a problem of the update to 7.1 because some guys posted the same problem on other sites.

FLV Playback controls don't work as expected

Hi
I have a FLVPlayback component that I feed with flv through
the url paramterer.
The movie loads and play fine, but I the controls do not work
as expected.
Eg. If the movie has ended I can not rewind and play it again
(without reloading the host page)
Does anyone know whats wrong here?

DW MX 04 Database Controls won't work

This is the first job I have had working with database app.
My data base has been built. I can see all my tables in the
database window of DW. So I have a connection. Forms were made on
asp.net c# files. I insert an ASP.NET object from the insert menu
to rest and I get the following error. Server Error in '/'
Application. The error is on line 2 and reads:

Don't know why this error keeps showing up. If anyone is

MX2004 software is also somewhat antiquated and no longer supported by Adobe. So it shouldn't surprise you that the tools from nearly a decade ago are obsolete today. The web itself has changed significantly since 2004!

Os X Yosemite Volume Control Won't Work

Since upgrading I've had serious issues with my volume control on my macbook pro. First is that the keyboard buttons won't do anything. I can press them and the picture shows up saying they're moving the volume up and down, but on the actual menu bar icon, nothing changes. Also, when I plug things into my computer I have to manually open the preferences to change the output, and once I do that I have to wait about 5 mins for it to register the change. I've tried restarting my computer many times but it doesn't seem to fix the issue :s. HELP!

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad and start typing the name.
The title of the Console window should be All Messages. If it isn't, select
SYSTEM LOG QUERIES ▹ All Messages
from the log list on the left. If you don't see that list, select
View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar at the top of the screen.
Click the Clear Display icon in the toolbar. Then take an action that isn't working the way you expect. Select any messages that appear in the Console window. Copy them to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Paste into a reply to this message by pressing command-V.
The log contains a vast amount of information, almost all of which is irrelevant to solving any particular problem. When posting a log extract, be selective. A few dozen lines are almost always more than enough.

Any ideas on why 4s brightness control won't work (not auto brightness)

Within the past week or so my brightness control stopped working. Restored OS but that didn't fix it. I suppose it is just broken but seems an unlikely failure when everthing else still works.
I've read all the threads on the auto brightness issues and fixes, but this is not that. The brightness slider does nothing with or without auto control on and in a dark room or full daylight.
Anything else I might try short of replace the phone?
Not a huge issue except for the fact that the already short battery life is reduced by no longer being able to reduce the brightness.

If this is just happening on your home wifi, you might want to try unplugging your router for 15 seconds, then pluggint it back in. Then on your devices, go to Settings>General>Reset and tap Reset Network Settings. Note: this will erase passwords for previously joined networks so you'll have to rejoin your wifi again.

Lion 10.7.1 brightness control, backlight control, itunes control and volume control won't work!

basically the very first row of my keyboard refuses to work.. except for esc.& f3 f4..
it happened all of sudden, the only thing odd i did that day was to plug in my tiny ipod 2009 mode, and the other day these keys are all disabled.
I recently upgraded from snow leopard to lion, but it did happen few days later than the upgrade.
and I have a partrition of disk running snow leopard, and i tested it, all of the keys are working in snow leopard, so I think it won't be a hardware problem.
any suggestions?

Just in case someone got the same prob.. so i went to talk to 'apple genius' and then they figured out my problem:
install snow leopard & lion at the same time.
So i fully removed snow leopard and all keys got back to life.

Apple TV messed up Macbook Pro, Keyboard volume controls won't work.

I can't get my Keyboard Volume controls to work on my macbook pro, Apple TV messed it up. This isn't an issue with disabling the remote control infrared receiver. When I want to turn my volume up or down, I have to go to system prefrences and change the volume that way. It's annoying and a big waste of time. Please help me before I throw this computer against the wall.

I've got an extremely similar problem. Spillage on the keyboard. Unknown, what it was.
To start with it was dead, no power up.
Then it dried out. There was still a bit of battery power left, and the mouse and track pad worked for a few minutes then it all froze.
So I shut the lid. I left it like that, because I couldnt switch it off.
Much later, opened it up again and all windows opened up, all info was correct,
I was advised to try wireless mouse and keyboard, but you have to get in there before it freezes again.
The battery was charging normally as well.
I made the decision to let the battery die completely and then switch it on again, but sure enough when I did this, it ignored any re-boot command and that's that. Dead as a do-do.
So, without being a computer whizz kid, I presume, it's off to the Apple store for a sizeable bill.
Unless someone else has a cunning plan ????????

Transport controls won't work with mouse....

Having been a long term Mac user with Avid and FCP I have now decided to move to Premiere on a PC.
I've just installed the Creative Cloud version and it all looks good. However, the mouse will not activate any of the device controls. (play, mark in, mark out etc.) I can make video play with the space bar, mark in and out with keyboard etc. any ideas?

Well, feel privileged! I've not heard of this problem before.
Now, occasional glitches with Wacom tablets, that comes up from time to time. Hope one of the techie types can give you some assistance. This would be rather an annoying limitation ...

Hello, all, my ipod touch is now working. Here's what happened...I called the tech support line and started going through the automated stuff. It started me with the reset which I had done numerous time. It then mentioned trying a different USB port. I figured it was a waste of time, but then I decided what the heck, so I tried the other usb port on the front of my pc. When I did this, it recognized the ipod in ituned and gave me a mssg that it needed to be restored. I clicked on the restore link, and minutes later it gave me an error message on the restore, and the ipod showed the apple on the sreen instead of the itunes logo with the usb cord. I then tried it back in the original usb port, and received the same windows prompt to try to install drivers that I had been getting all along. I put it back in the second USB port, and got the restore message again with it being recognized in itunes. This time it successfully completed the restore. I know it sounds simple, but if you have not tried a different USB port, be sure you do. Maybe the download jacked up my USB port? Anyway, I'm working again with the 2.2.1 download. Can Captivate 7's playback controls control Flash swf files?

I have created a swf file using Adobe Flash and I have imported it as an animation slide in Captivate 7. I have turned on the playback controls to just have the play button and the progress bar. When I export the presentation, the playback controls do not work. The scrubber moves as the presentation is playing, but I can't pause the presentation. When I stop the scrubber or even move it left or right, it does not affect the presentation and it just keeps playing. Am I doing something wrong? I don't want to have to create a custom nav bar in Flash as it would just be easier to use Captivate's playback bar.

I don't think it can be expained quickly as it can be very complicated. But...
Select New Project/Widget in Flash and choose static widget. You need to be very adept in AS3 to actually get them to work.

Screen brightness button won't work

My screen brightness controls won't work (don't ask). Is there a terminal command for screen brightness?
