Playback delay issue. Free beers for whoever can help me!
Please help me keep my sanity!!
I have a recorded track that i grabbed from itunes and put it into garage band (The track is a guitar track that I previously recorded)
I then recorded a vocal track - this worked fine but i wasnt happy with the track so i deleted it
I re-did the track and this time there was a time delay. each time i add a track or redo a track the delay gets worse
In short regardless of whether I delete the old tracks or not, the vocal track is in time whilst being recorded and when played back, it has a delay of about1/4 of a second.
I'm using an Apple Mac, OSX version 10.6.7, 3.06Ghz Intel i3 with 4GB RAM.
Recording vocals through a Sure SM58 USB.
what can i do to stop this?

Did you try a search of the forums for similar issues? Doing so would have revealed multiple similar issues with valid troubleshooting, saved you time, and saved those that have read that crap from being subject to your rambling psychosis.
FYI, in the future, get to the point and cut the crap when asking for help.
Oh, completely uninstall iTunes and reinstall the current version of iTunes.

So. As always, it's about iTunes - as Apple is the most inconvenient corporation ever founded. Anyway! I've had this problem for about 6 months and haven't bothered to ask anyone. I've restored the computer numerous times and tried to fix the issue with help from other nonsensical forums. The problem is that 'apple mobile device service' is eating up a large amount of CPU, and therefore tends to make the computer run like a log. I have uninstalled it before but then iTunes won't recognize my iPod - funnily enough. As well as this, iTunes won't connect to the store? However, it doesn't say it's not, it just doesn't load. It states that it is 'accessing iTunes store', but it's not. I'm running all of this on a windows 7 Acer extensa 5235 - just in case that helps. It probably won't, but you guys are clever, right? I mean, I could probably ask you to peel an orange for me, and you'd do it without even physically touching it. Just with the power of your omnipotent minds. Anyway yeah, if anyone can help on this one, would be much appreciated.

$10 paypal for whoever can help me with my printers (2300DL, 2400W)
I'd like one printer to work. In my house I have both a KM2300DL, and a 2400W. I know they do not work out of the box for the mac.
I've done all sorts of research and nothing has worked, one of the workarounds requires PPC macs. Here we have both a 13" Macbook, and a 20" iMac.
I do have a Linksys wireless router.
All help is appreciated.I can help you with the 2400W at least to a certain extent. For the 2400W you will need to first download and install the Foomatic-RIP and ESP Ghostscript packages from the linuxprinting.org site.
The next step is the actual drivers. I have drivers for this printer compiled for the PPC Mac on my site. You can download them here. These have been reported to work, ableit slowly, on Intel based Macs.
I also have a Universal Binary (native Intel and native PPC) beta set of drivers for the printer. They have not been tested at all. I don't gurantee they will work but you sound like a good candidate for testing them. You can download the Universal Binary beta drivers here.
Please let us know what works for you. If you try the Universal Binary set of drivers and have problems, you can contact me directly at "walterwego at macosx dot com". We can do some troubleshooting. I do want to get the Universal Binary drivers working, but I do need testers as I don't have either the 2300W or the 2400W to fully test the drivers. Hey, that would be a good trade-off for the $10 Paypal account which I wouldn't accept in any event.
EDIT: I just saw your reply about both printers being hooked up to a Windows box. If you want to test the Universal Binary drivers, I would appreciate it if you could first test them with a direct connection between the 2400W and your computer. That is the only way to do a proper test.

I have several issues that I hope you can help me out with. I am a professional photographer with a Mac with OS X 10.9.4:
- I can only make ONE contact sheet in CS6 (from AUTOMATE) from pictures indicated in Bridge. If I want to make another contact sheet I need to shut down and restart CS6.
- Camera RAW: if I change any setting in Camera RAW (except exposure), having first optimized the exposure, the exposure will automatically return to zero. Sometimes when I've set exposure and cropped the picture in Camera RAW Plug-In, the effects are lost just by opening the picture in CS6.
- Sometimes if I crop a picture in Camera RAW, it may be impossible to open it again from Bridge!
- I cannot do lens corrections in Camera RAW, at all. The Camera RAW comment is that "it cannot load the correct lens type". Why?Are you writing that when you select a large number of images in the bridge like a hundred thumbnails when you then use Bridge menu Tools>Photoshop>Contact Sheet II that Photoshop only produces a single contact sheet for the first few thumbnails and fails to produce additional contact sheets for the other selected thumbnails? Photoshop contact sheet II script should create as many contact sheet as needed for the numbers of thumbnails selected. Perhaps the script is hung or you have exhausted your machine resources.
ACR Crop tool does not crop the RAW file it records crop settings to be used during the conversion process. Camera RAW DATA is not altered. The only changes made to RAW Files is ACR Metadata may be added. Anything you do in ACR can be un-done in ACR. If you can not open a RAW File in ACR the Files is either corrupt or from a new camera ACR does not support yet. ACR should not corrupt RAW files.
If you do not have a lens profile for ACR I think you should still be able to do lens correction manually in ACR.
Some of what you write I don't follow could you post some screen captures of your problems often a picture helps. -

I�ve make an applet that sends files to a FTP Server with a progress bar.
Its works fine on my IDE (JBuilder 9), but when I load into Internet Explorer (signed applet) it crash. The applet seems like blocked: it show the screen of java loading and dont show the progress bar, but it send the archives to the FTP server while shows the java loading screen.

harmmeijer: the applet is signed ok, I dont think that is the problem...
itchyscratchy: the server calls are made from start() method. The applet is crashed during its sending files to FTP server, when finish, the applet look ok.

Disk partition issue.Cant allocate the free space for windows.ls help.
I have created a partition for OS X (200GB journaled, encrypted) and also left 51GB unallocated for Boot Camp later on.
After I successfully installed OS X 10.9, I wanted to install Windows 8.1 with Boot Camp. But Boot Camp only wants to shrink the Macintosh HD partition, and doesn't want to use the free space left on the drive. So I switched to Disk Utility, to try it that way. But in Disk Utility I wasn't able to create a new partition (if I press the 'partition' button it just doesn't do anything).
Next, I tried to switch of File Vault 2, let it decrypt itself, restart, and then try it again in internet recovery mode. But still, I cannot expand the Macintosh HD-partition or create a new partition.

Also, Disk Utility tells me there is 200.000.000.000 bytes of 200.000.000.000 bytes used, and 0 bytes of free space. Even though not even half of the drive is colored blue (which displays the amount of data on the drive). Finder tells me only 88GB is used.
I used the new installation for no longer than half a day, so there can't be issues that data is spread over the whole volume. Disk Utility can't find any problems, and tells me the disk and all of her volumes are okay (in green texts).
I also tried to start from a windows-install-usb, and tried to make a partition of the 'unallocated space', but then Windows tells me that it fails because the volume is part of the 'GPT partition style'.
What do I have to do to repartition my volumes!?
I'm using a MacBook Pro Retina 15" (MacBook Pro 10,1) with a 256GB SSD (251GB according to OS X).As you're finding, a limitation of basic disk is that it only allows 4 primary partitions or 3 primary partitions and an extended partition.

Free Azure for Dreamspark - can't setup
Hi there
I am trying to setup the free Azure offer as a Dreamspark member.
Whatever I try it is not working and I am going around in circles.
I did have a Pay-As-You-Go subscription to Azure (as part of my work account) and I though initially that this was why it would not let me set it up but I have cancelled that now and I still get the same error:

We could not find offer ‘ms-azr-0144P’.
I have even tried setting up a new Azure account with a different email but it still won't let me create the free Azure account.
I have a valid Dreamspark account with a verified university email.
What is the exact process you need to go through to take up this offer?
I have been onto Azure support and they basically said they can't do anything about it and it is a Dreamspark support issue. I have sent them a support request but have not heard back from them.
I think at some stage that my normal Microsoft account (that had the Azure subscription ) and my Dreamspark account (through my University email) got linked (single sign on?). Could that be causing the issues?
Whenever I try to 'register' for Azure through the Dreamspark home page it takes me to the Azure login portal and logs me in automatically with my credentials and gives me the above error?
Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.

From next page, select “I cannot sign up for a new account”
Click “Start request”
Note: Make sure you supply the Microsoft Account email address you used with DreamSpark to Azure Support so that they can resolve the problem with the proper account.

Premiere 10 Serious Playback Issues...Hope Someone Can Help
Hello - 6 days ago I upgraded from PE9 to PE10, mostly to obtain 64-bit addressability. My workstation is powerful so it seemed a good idea to take advantage of it. Since then, it's been a nightmare. PE10 video playback in the monitor was quite bad - lots of shimmering and flickering. I made my first call to Adobe 5 days ago. That call lasted an astounding 98 minutes. After installing a new video driver, and making several other settings changes, the problem persisted. Interestingly, video that used to play ok in PE9 was now also shimmering (in PE9). I sent Adobe video files and they promised to call me back within 24 hours. In the meantime, I tested files created in six different formats by six different cameras..... only AVCHD input (from a Panasonic TM900 camcorder) had a playback problem, and only in Premiere Elements. The files played fine in Cyberlink's Power Director, in Windows Media Player, and with all the other software I could find.
Adobe didn't call back, so I called them. Another technician made a few more changes, again with no effect. He promised someone would call within 2 hours. Ten hours later, as I was out to dinner, Adobe called back. It was 6:32 PM and by the time I got the message, Adobe support was closed for the weekend. On Monday morning, I phoned again. Another technician and more changes. By this time, I'd spent almost 4 hrs on the phone with Adobe, and Adobe had spent those 4 hours, plus additional test time, on the problem. They said the files played fine at their end. Still no resolution.
Yesterday afternoon in a last ditch effort to get help, I called Adobe again. This time a supervisor answered. In just a few minutes, he'd changed the playback quality setting to "highest" from "automatic". This eliminated the shimmering and flickering, but even with a powerful workstation, playback was far from smooth. Perhaps the system was being burdened trying to produce "highest" playback quality? Here's the most interesting part.... the supervisor told me Adobe doesn't support ATI graphics cards (that's what I have), and that "automatic" playback will not work with ATI cards. Is this really true?
Does anyone have any ideas about what might be wrong?
By the way, even though playback within PE10 is bad, mpeg 1980x1020 files generated from PE10 play fine on my computer. The same files generated in AVHCD file-format do not play well.

Flavio</H4>You can develop a routine in t.code VOFM->Requirements->free goods. Here you can add the coding to check the combination of materials BCD in order for issuing free goods. You can add this routine in t.code V/N5, in the requirement column against each condition type. I never tired this, so this is only my suggestion.
P.S: Even you can create a Z-table to keep various combinations of materials and the requirement routine can read the combinations against sales order items and can approve free goods.

Issue Installing SP2 for Windows Server 2008 SP1
Hello, I have a very annoying issue, and I hope someone can help a bro out.
Server: Windows Server 2008 SP1 64-bit
Issue: SP2 wont install on Windows Server 2008 SP1
This is what I am seeing when I check the event viewer:
1. (Information) Windows Servicing is setting package KB948465(Service Pack) state to Staging(Staging)
2. (Error) Windows Servicing failed to complete the process of changing update 948465-382_neutral_GDR from package KB948465(Service Pack) into Staging(Staging) state
I have no idea why this is coming up, nor why the server cant fix the issue, but now I am forced to deal with it. So if anyone has any helpful tips it would be greatly appreciated.
What I have done so far:
I have downloaded the standalone SP2 file from microsoft, and tried to install, still failed. Just sent me to the prereq page, which is pretty useless considering the fact I already have SP1 installed, and nothing new has changed physically or digitally
in the system.
Also, although not a huge issue, I also have a security update that is failing, basically with the same issue as the SP. Below is its Error event log.
(Error) Windows Servicing failed to complete the process of changing update 974318-11_neutral_LDR from package KB974318(Security Update) into Staging(Staging) state
Im hoping that upon discovering the SP issue, I can resolve the security update issue, as the errors have the same issue(failed to complete staging state).Thank you for your time.

Can't get CF11 to download free trial for students. Anyone having the same problem with Adobe's site?

Please download it from http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/tdrc/index.cfm?product=coldfusion&promoid=DJDUK use your Adobe ID and password to login and download CF11.

KristineFinish the download on your computer in iTunes and then sync the app to the iPad and then delete it. You will probably have to let it fully download before you can delete it.
You can try restarting the iPad and see if the download will resume - Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Yoy can try this as well and see if the download will resume. Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
Look in iTunes and see if there is a pending download in there that might be causing the delay. If there is a download there, try to finish that one first. -

You can contact iTunes and ASK for a refund. Then make make an exception to their all sale are final policy.
