Playback just stops by some reasons
Hi, can I inform, playback just stops by any unclear reason, didin't autoadvancing, so I manually turning next track, its this bug & well-known thing? Board is Windows 8.1 64-bit, client is latest, 1.0.10.107.gd0dfca3a. Also can I do one suggestion just about track number column in album view? Finally, is there plans to support Kazakhstan in the service providing or in russian language's CIS?
What do you mean by stopping? Does it really stop like you need to press play button to play again? If not, Spotify stopping playback is a normal thing as it downloads data from the internet before it can play songs. It streams it and buffers just like Youtube. It will need time before it can get all data. Do you have a fast internet connection? How fast? And about your ides, you can post it in Idea Submissions area for more exposure. Hope this helps :)

I'm praying somebody here has an idea to help me. iCloud has suddenly gone nuts on my iMac. It works only when it wants to work and then stops for no reason. When it stops I am no longer able to click the mail icon and open any mail even the old stuff that was there. No changes were made to my computer. This all started out of the blue. When the mail stops working it will not close out to allow me to restart my computer. It won't even allow a forced quit. No changes were made to my machine. My iPhone still get mail but only after I click the mail icon. It does not pull mail in and show how many new emails I have like it did before. I have a me.com email if that helps. Any ideas would be truly appreciated.

Log and transfer stops for some reason
I just upgraded to FCE 4.0.1.
I am trying to Log and Transfer video that is AVCHD 720 30p.
I have FCE "easy setup" set to "HDV-Apple Intermediate Codec 720p30". I assume this is correct?
When I select a clip in Log And Transfer, put my in and out points, and choose "add clip to cue", the cued clip begins transferring and exactly 10 seconds later it just stops. I tried to start over with a new project and it keeps happening. Log and Transfer just stops. No injesting.
And there are no clips showing up on my scratch disk.
Help?The AVCHD 720 30p was the camera info I was given.
I can't open the .MTS files with Quicktime or mpeg StreamClip so I'm unable to get any info from them.
When I select "get info" on the .MTS files (in a folder called "Stream", the attached screenshot shows this: -
IPhone does not sync pas step two of eight it just stop syncing
I connect my iPhone to iTunes on a mac book and click on sync as it will not start by it self when I connect it to mac book.
The mac book recognise the phone and ,yes I always sync phone here on this device-my last sync was in June this year.
The screen for photo sync comes up and after photo sync at step two of eight it just keep on synchronising and nothing happens.
I have tried some community advice and deleted previous backups and restarts . Even tried iCloud sync and it does not work just stopped.
Some of the errors I have received:
1. iTunes could not connect to the iPhone ---------because an invalid response was received from the device.
2. iPhone could not be synced because the phone could not be found on the network.
I started experiencing this errors after the mountain lion installation on my mac book?!
But my iPad has no problem to sync?To eliminate software issues
Reset
Restore with backup then as new if required .
If still no better take to an Apple Store genius bar for hardware evaluation -

I tried the free for a little while Mobile me, and didn't use it, so cancled. I cannot get the sync status roundabout arrows out of my status bar. AND, they keep trying to sync.
Another issue related with this is that during the time that I tried out Mobile me, I had my ical alarm set to go off every 2 hours. NOW my computer has an ical pop-up every 2 hours. I cannot find how to stop it.
Another issue, Yahoo is trying to sync with my computer and I have no idea why or where that one came from.

Apple iOS is ****.... I just update my apps then for some reason is stop and can't use it.. If you delete and reinstall your apps profile will be lost....
There's no rollback in the application if you encountered failed during the installation.. The application profile will be lost... ****....Try update the app using iTune (computer) and sync to iPad.

For some reason, when I took pics they always went to my PC(windows) then just stopped.
Greetings, I am praying you folks can help me out. When ever I took pictures with my iphone 4s the pictures would go right to a photo folder on my windows PC, I love it. It made things a whole lot easier than sending files to myself, grrrrr. Being disabled more steps, just mean more complications, and more pain. Then all of a sudden they just stopped, going to the PC...grrrr! I tried going to the cloud on PC to photostream to check options, I clicked on the options, it did nothing. Meaning it went to no other options or anything. Even doubled check, installed reinstalled cloud, with no luck.Please help! My iphone is running iOS 6

You do not need to install any anti-virus programs. They will do nothing positive, but will almost certainly end up slowing down the computer.
Second, could you please tell us more about this statement: I took my older macbookmair in for service and was told I had several viruses...some bad. I suspect you were being scammed. The term virus is sometimes used to describe "malware". Perhaps what was on the computer was some other form of malware.

Finally, I personally have used Macs for almost 30 years without ever installing anti-virus software. I am however scrupulous about keeping my Macs free of garbage (like Mackeeper, to name one), adware, and so on. -
Microsoft Office 2004 (Word) unable to save files
I have been running Office 2004 on my Intel iMac with Snow Leopard for some time and all of a sudden I cannot save a document. Word just stopped responding and I have to force quit. I can open Word and create a new document but I cannot save it. I reinstalled Word but that didn’t help. Then went to the Internet and found at least one other Mac user having the same problem which it suggests is caused by a recent Mac Security Update:

So I check for a new Mac Security Update and sure enough there was one. I downloaded it and now Word seems to be working, as it should. I can both open and save files. The only problem remaining is that when I open Word I get the following error message “An unexpected error occurred while trying to load the Microsoft Framework library”. I contacted Apple but they were unable to help.
How can I get rid of this error message?Look, I realize you might have to get your machine working, so this is how you revert back.
Restore proceedure to pre-Security Update 2012-001 v 1.0 & v 1.1
#1 Backup your personal data off the machine.
Backup files off the computer (not to TimeMachine). If you don't have a external drive, get one and connect to the USB/Firewire port and simply drag and drop copy your User folder to the external drive, it will copy all your files. It's best to have two backups of your data off the machine when trying to restore.
Disconnect all drives now to prevent any mistakes from occuring.
#2 Reinstall OS X 10.6 from disk
Get out your 10.6 install disk and make sure it's clean and polished (very soft cloth and a bit of rubbing alcohol, no scratches) If your disk is borked, you'll have to order a new one from Apple with your serial number.
Hold c boot off the 10.6 disk (wired keyboard, internal optical drive), use Disk Utility First Aid to >Repair Disk of your internal drive (do not format or erase!!), Quit DU and simply re-install 10.6.
Note: Simply reinstalling 10.6 version from disk (without erasing the drive) only replaces 10.6.8 with 10.6.x and bundled Apple programs, won't touch your files (backup anyway) or most programs, unless they installed a kext file into OS X itself. (only a few on average do this)
#3 Update to 10.6.8 without Security Update 2012-001 v1.0 or v1.1
Reboot and log in, update to 10.6.8 via Software Update, but EXCLUDE THE Security Update 2012-001 by checkinig the details and unchecking the blue check box.
#4 Reinstall any non-working third party programs
When you reboot, make sure to reinstall any programs that require kext files installed into OS X, you'll know, they won't work when you launch them or hang for some reason as they are missing the part they installed into OS X.
If for some freakish reason you get gray screen at any time when booting (possible it might occur when you reinstall older programs), hold the shift key down while booting (Safe Mode, disables kext files) and update your installed third party software so it's compatible with 10.6.8.

For some reason, the Flash Player on my MAC Pro stopped working, I've checked the install on my Adobe Flash Player and the are current, but the plug-ins don't seem to be working. Can anyone help me get it working?
It happened w/ my MacPro 2.66 GHz Dual-Core Intel Xeon about 5 months ago; tried everything I could think of including multiple downloads of Flash, and hadn't seen any solutions here. Adobe insisted many times that I download & update, but the newest vers. wouldn't work on the computer.
On checking Adobe/Flash was reading the computer as being an earlier model. So the new version of Flash wouldn't work w/ it. Snow Leopard 10.6.8 was being read correctly but not the computer model (can't remember what MP model it was reading).
Nothing worked. So -- a very old PC trick: If nothing else works get the hammer out and bludgeon it-- might work. So I reset everything by putting the Snow Leopard install disk in, held down 'C' on restart and let it run.
Didn't take anything off the HDD first, just ran the install disk over everything.
The experts on the forums are probably cringing right now & I'd like very much for them to jump in. Love to know how my computer model was being mis-read. All I can say is, for the brave and desparate, it worked for me. Something to keep in mind.
It helped that I had a new computer on order & have 2 backups, one being mandatory. Might work only the one time but worth a check.

For some reason my QuickTime player has stopped playing all my .avi movies, I can't seem to upgrade and it doesn't offer any solutions except that it may need additional software but not what or where to obtain it from? Help most of my movie are in .avi!!
Google 'Perian' and 'Flip4Mac' — these are the extensions that will make QT play other file formats.
However, a simpler solution is just to abandon QT in favour of the free, open-source player VLC, which plays just about everything natively without further downloads.

My imovie 11 for Lion just stopped working on my project ive spent over a month on out of no where.....i restarted, turn off and on, logged in and out and deleted the imovie plist. file
I notived an imovie lock file next to plist file ( i dont know if this means anything)
the playback stopped working on the project just as i was finishing up some effects and it wont playback at all BUT my library will still audition clips fine
PLEASE HELP I THOUGHT MACS WERE NOT SUPPOSE TO DO PC THINGS! =PTap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings
Then restart your iPad.
See if that makes a difference. -
Downloading a file would normally bring up an option to open the file with the appropriate program or save it - for some reason now it just downloads straight to the download folder. Why? Problem with Firefox or something else? It's very frustrating - sometimes you want the file opened first so it can be discarded or saved to a different location.

I want to open a folder in a separate window by clicking on it. For some reason when I click on a folder it just replaces the one I was just in. I want them both to be open at the same time without having to go through several steps. Old apple operating systems made it easy to have several folders open at one time.
Eric, thanks that works but seems like an extra added step also to do it that way. I've got to move and organize a ton of files and I'm looking for a easy way to get this done. I could also open the folder into a separate tab and then drag the tab out so it becomes an open window but thats a lot of fussing around also with extra steps. Not sure why these newer operating system seems more confusing and less user friendly than what they used to. In the past I could just click on any folder and it would open in a separate window making it really easy to copy or move files from one place to the other just by simply dragging them from one window to the other. Seems like I'm going through several extra steps now to do a simple task.

Can I install the online version rather than using my dvd? it successfully installed (up to a point) that way, it just wont accept my serial number for some reason. my dvd isnt working properly.
If it gets far enough to reject your serial number, it won't help to download it. It must have installed ok.
What is the message you get (DON'T tell us the serial number!!)?
Does it mention a "qualifying product" by any chance?
