Playback not smooth with BlackMagic Cinema Camera 2.5k RAW content

Hello, My name is Oudom. From Cambodia. I'm using BlackMagic Cinema Camera 2.5k. and my Premiere Pro CC does not seem handle (Playback) the 2.5k Raw file smoothly. m not sure if i miss something installed or my spec doesnt good enough
So here is my PC Spec:
Windows 8.1 Pro
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3930K CPU @ 3.20GHz 3.20 GHz
RAM 32GB
GPU: Quadro K4000
Motherboard: ASRock X79 Extreme6
with DeckLink 4K Extreme
If this Requirement cant Handle 2.5k Raw File. is there any workflows to work out this ?

Sorry for late replied, I'm using Decklink but I didnt use DeckLink to send video out to an external monitor, just using VGA to send video out.
The content files are on internal drive

I have another question. you said if i'm using the decklink to send video out to an external monitor, you want me to disable transmit and see if the video plays smoothly within premiere ? is it not people that buy decklink just to do that ? I thought using monitor output from decklink could do better performance. and its the reason I buy decklink. I'm sorry but i'm still new to these things.
Please explain me more about this, I need to work with RAW files everyday. I need to run the videos very smooth. what do i need to do? or because of my CPU is just i7 ? do i need to use like Xeon to run it smoothly ?? please help me I'm so lost

Go to System Preferences > Universal Access and down in the Display: section make sure that the Enhance contrast: slider is all the way to left to Normal, or more to the right for less Contrast.
Universal Access> may be Accessibility in 10.8.x

Spin behavior with particles emitter not smooth when close to camera

Just got Motion 4 and was playing with it last night with the particle system.

As you can see in the screen shot, I have an emitter spinning and moving towards past the camera emitting particles at zero speed (leaving a trail). As it get close to the camera, the particle curve is not smooth. I am wondering if this is some kind of limitation or am I missing some setting?

Without seeing a screenshot of the behavior settings, I'm gonna say that the problem is how you're animating the position of the emitter. You should look into the Motion Path behavior. I think it's much better suited to a curving animation.
It's certainly not a limitation of the software.

Custom PC with ATI 5670 xfx is not working with APPLE cinema 24"

I need help using my apple cinema 24"
my setup is the following:
i7 custom built with ati 5670 xfx (with display port)
running windows 7 64 bit ultimate
I bought a displayPort to mini-display port cable. When I plug everything in, my apple 24" cinema is not turning on ?
can someone please help me out, Thank you.
PS. Seem like people are saying the new ATI radeon 5000 series is not compatible with apple 24" Anybody has a solution to this ? Thank you.

Aside from upgrading to pse 13, you can use the 8.7.1 adobe dng converter to convert the files to dng copies, which pse 11 should then open.

Mac will not work with Canon EOS cameras

My imac OS X 10.6 is not working well with my Canon EOS 5d Mark II camera on the tethered mode. The camera works well with other Mac computers, and I have spent hours with Canon tech help. It now seems that the issue may be with the computer. The EOS Utility is working, everything has been updated, all Canon checkpoints look good, but when I use the camera, the image does not transfer. And then everything gets locked into a loop and I have to crash the camera and force quit the program. Is there something in the computer that may be blocking the transfers? any ideas where to look? Canon has done everything on the camera side, but I don't know where to begin with the computer.

OH, ok. So the issue is with transferring the image from the camera to the computer. Since you said you have done everything possible with canon, the camera's firmware is completely up to date, you have the correct software installed. Since you say no cameras work with this computer I am inclined to say the problem is from the computer, which is why the problem exists. I'd do an apple hardware test and see if anything turns up. Clean install of the canon software would also be a good idea.

Hi! After Effects CC 2014 do not work with Blackmagic Intensity Pro.

After Effects CC, Premiere Pro CC 2014, Photoshop CC 2014 work correct with Blackmagic Intensity Pro.

Uninstall the Blackmagic drivers and install the latest version.
If that doesn't help, make sure you are using a comp size that matches a frame format supported by the Blackmagic card.

Playback not smooth for S3D files

My S3D files don't run smooth. The Quadro 4000 uses only 5-20 % of its capacity, The 8 CPU processors 3,4 kHz uses 80-95 % of its capacity. The 16 Mb memory is used between 10 and 50% somtimes. The windows index is 7.4.
I might use only 1/2 or 1/4 in the playback window, but this doesn't makes much difference. I dont have a yellow line in the timeline. Rendering, if their is anything to render, doesn't solve the problem.

What kind(s) of source footage? Footage from the Panasonic Z10000 or JVC 1TD 3D or .... all converted by Cineform and muxed to Cinefoprm 3D AVI
If you are getting error message(s), what is the full text of the error message(s)? No error, just 'stagnating' frames
What were you doing when the problem occurred? just plaback in Open GL page flip 3D, OpenGl in 2D looks better.
Has this ever worked before? Not for 100%
What other software are you running? all kinds from Adobe and GoPro, when testing nothing: no difference
Do you have any third-party effects or codecs installed? Like Cineform...

Does the problem only happen with your final output, with previews, or both? Just Playback, Output is oke

Playback not smooth in iMovie

I've just started using iMovie with some video I shot on an original flip camera. When you play the edited video in iMovie, the video pauses for about .5 seconds in between clips, but the audio doesn't seem to pause. When the movie is exported however, this slight pause isn't there.
Having worked with video before, it looks like the hard drive isn't keeping up with program as far as getting the unedited video to the program for playback.
Is this normal (I hope not), what can I do to fix this?

Use iMovie 06 instead. I was having the same problem when using iMovie 08. I believe it has to do with how iMovie 08 deinterlaces your video. Even at the highest settings, my videos would look bad once burned to a DVD. At first I thought maybe it was just how the video looked previewed in iMovie, but that wasn't the case. When using iMovie 06, the video looks just like the original DV while editing.
iMovie 06 is a free download to iLife 08 owners. (THEY WANT YOU TO HAVE IT!)

Please, run the DirectX diagnostics tool.
Go to Windows Start and in the Run box type dxdiag.exe and press the OK button. This will start the DirectX diagnostics program. Run this diagnostics and save the results to a file. Please, attach this file to your post. Info on all installed devices should be available in this file.
Be aware that you will have to zip this file before attaching it here.

Wi-fi not working with Apple Cinema Display and Bluetooth-peripheral

Hello everyone.
I have a MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Late 2013), with OS X Yosemite 10.10.1. My problem is that when I use my macbook in closed-clamshell mode, the wi-fi connection becomes very slow and it regularly drops.
My external display is a Apple Cinema Display, 22-inch, model M8149. My mouse is the Apple Magic Mouse and my keyboard is the Apple Wireless Keyboard.

I have photoshop 5.1 and I am trying to open RAW files from my NIKON D600. When I try and do this it gives me the following message...Could not complete your request because the file appears to be from a camera model which is not supported by your version of Camera Raw.

...or go for another non-Adobe RAW converter, your choice. The DNG converter is probably the easier if you already have it and have used it. The downside is that the converter is just that a converter into DNG with no manipulation of the RAW file via an external XMP so all the manipulation will need to be done in PS5.1, the RAW processor in the current Adobe Camera RAW is fairly advanced and much can be done outside of PS. An alternative might be to look at Lightroom instead of using PS 5.1 but the processed files (which are the unadulterated original NEF coupled with a sidecar XMP) would not be compatible with 5.1 if you want to process further in PS (as the current LR is compatible with the current PSCC).

IMac 27" not compatible with 30" Cinema Display - Super Buggy

I have a new iMac 27" 10.7.3, the best of everything except not solid state.
Using a 30 inch apple cinema display with it because a- I had it & b- I like the non-glare screen.
There's been so many problems that I have been keeping a log. But basically the colored wheel from **** would start to turn when clicking on an external hardrive icon, or itunes woud freeze mid song, or Photoshop would freeze when trying to open a file on an external hardrive, or the computer would freeze upon logging out or shutting down. The list is endless. I thought that the problem was with the Lacie "Rugged" firewire ext drive. But it wasn't. As soon as I disconnected the Cinema Display the IMac stopped all the shenanigans.
So my question is - is anyone sucessfully using a 30" Cinema display with an iMac 27"

Log and Transfer not working with Sony AVCHD camera

Hi, I have a new Sony AVCHD camera. The HDR-XR200 120GB hard drive model. It captures in 1920x1080i, and connects to Mac via USB.
FCP does not recognize the camera when I open the log and transfer window.
Can someone help me with seq setting and easy set up setting or other setting for it to work.
I am happy to import footage into FCP with AIC or prores 422. Just want to edit all the footage I have of my so's international soccer tournament held in Australia last week. I also have Final Cut Express on my Mac if that works better. This is very frustrating trying to get it to work.

I use a Panasonic AVCHD, which FCP doesn't recognise. Anyway I've spent months playing around because this little camera blows my Sony V1 out of the water in sheer quality.
Best thing is just get hold of a copy of Toast 10, you can then simply drag your .mts files into this and encode to whatever you want, I edit in pro res LT, but Toast will even encode it to HDV if you want to end up on tape(Even this result still blows the Sony HDV apart)
FCP is very fussy about even noticing the very existance of .mts files, so I wouldn't waste my time, scratching my head.
By the way, I use Firewire 800 drives, not USB 2 and also in the name of God BACK UP YOUR MTS FILES ON A NEW HARD DISC CALLED "BACKUP OF .MTS FILES!" LOL
