Playback of WAV files, doesn't automatically go to next track?

I have a number of DTS-encode WAV files in a playlist that play fine thru my Airport Express, but unfortunately, it seems that iTunes doesn't automatically go from the end of one track onto the next track.
How do I make it play a WAV playlist continuously?

My incoming mail user .wav file doesn't play for incoming mails. It does work on local test.

I have windows 7 Professional PC and use Mozilla Thunderbird 24.4.0 as my email account. I have a local .wav music file for incoming mail which tests OK, but when a new mail arrives it doesn't play. I have all the boxes ticked in the settings. Can anyone help please?

An update on local .wav sound file for incoming TB mail messages.
Driver Booster found outdated drivers and all have been updated.
Sound device has been removed from the device manager and automatically re-installed.
From advice given I have turned mail.imap.use_status_for_biff to "false".
Still no sound from my local .wav file. Is my problem unique? Is 2.74 MB too large as a sound file?

Create AAC from Wav file doesn't work

I've converted many WAV files to AAC and it worked fine. The last few times I've tried it it isn't working. I hear the bleep which I think indicates it's been converted but I can't find it anywhere so assume it didn't happen.
I have Windows XP. I am running iTunes 10.3.1.55
Any ideas would be appreciated.

thank you for your Help.
But I just want to read a Binary File, which is build by another program. And this is coded with 8Bit (like a normal Binary File) and not just with 7Bit (ASCII). So the workaround doesn't work in my case.
I posted the Test-VI in my first post (here once again as picture). And it works fine on the PC, but if I try it on my MCB2400 the "Read Form Binary File" Node doesn't work.
And it is also possible to open the Bin file with the "Read Text File" Node and see the cryptic content of the Bin-File. So the Problem seems to be in the "Read Form Binary File" Node.

Playback of Wav file

Hi there,
I have had a look through the back posts to try and sort my problem out, but have been unable to succeed in understanding. Problem is that I'm not very good with Labview, and the people who normally are have left my department. So I'm trying to work things out in ignorance. Basically I want to change my current Labview VI so that instead of continuously playing back a 'Simulate Signal' VI (a sine wave as it happens) I want to continuously playback a pre-recorded wave file. I just cannot work out how to incorporate this task into the program. We're using an SCB-68 interface board. I've attatched the program we're using below, in case any kind soul can offer advice.

Hi Mike,
You have not stated what version of LabVIEW you have so I have modified your VI in LabVIEW 7.1 you will need LabVIEW 7.1 or later to open the attachments.
I have modified you original VI and kept the name the same "Wav_playback-1.vi" in THis I have removed the Tradiotional DAQ call, as you also had a DAQmx call, I have wired everything together so it should run. However I don't think this will work as you are using Tasks (which you have not provided) and then you setup timing and triggering again. All this is setup in the Task.
For the reason above, I have created "Wav_playback-_mod.vi" which has my original modifications as well as removing timing from you AO section, as this is in your task. In the AI line I have removed the Task and added the create Virtual channel call to setup the input as a Voltage input without using tasks as you need control of the sample timing VI, so seting this up as each step is better than using tasks.

Can a Mac Book Pro playback 96K WAV files?

Trying to listen to a 96K WAV file through the headphone output of a 2009 Mac Book Pro. Does anyone know if that is possible?

96K 24 bit. I can play it back on my audio interface but I'm trying to find out if someone without an interface can hear an accurate version of a stereo song mix at that resolution.

ITunes 8 does not automatically advance to next track in album or playlist

iTunes 8 was recently installed for me by the company on my company laptop. This was done automatically by LANDesk. (We call this being LANDesked. I was forced by LANDesk to reboot my computer twice yesterday, but I digress.)
iTunes does not automatically advance to the next track in an album or playlist, either in list view or grid view.
List View: I can play any song in an album by double-clicking it or by selecting the track and pressing the play button. When it gets to the end of that track, it does not automatically advance to playing the next track. Pressing Ctrl-Right stops the current track and does not play the next track. The Next button is active and it, too, stops the current track and does not play the next track.
Grid View: Play Album button appears to be active but does nothing.
Is there some setting I'm missing that was set to do this in iTunes 7 but not in 8?

I thought the check boxes were for selecting which tracks get synced to my iPod or iPhone. I must have unchecked them all (before the installation of iTunes 8) when I was trying to figure out how to sync a 2nd computer (this one) to my iPhone.
I can't find anything in the iTunes help about this necessary fact for playing your albums and playlists. If you look on the Index tab of the help, neither check nor uncheck are found in the list. If you search for check, you eventually find, amongst all the pages, that you need to have tracks checked in order to burn them to a CD and to import them from a CD, but I find nothing about checking to play tracks. Also, the help is very confusing on the difference between selecting one or more songs and checking the check boxes of one or more song. These seem to be used interchangeably occasionally.

Loss of cues marks when saving WAV files in Acrobat 1.5

I have been using Audition 1.5 for several years, but today I have been experiencing a new and fundamental problem.
After downloading an MP3 file and converting it to a Windows PCM WAV file using Audition, I have inserted cue (track) marks. When I save the resulting WAV file containing the cues, then close out of the file and reopen it, I find that the cues have disappeared.
Only last week did I do the same thing to some other MP3 files, and I did not have this problem.
Has anyone had this experience, and if so, how was the problem solved?

Interleaving 5.1 wav files to a single 5.1 wav

Hi,
I need to turn 6 mono 48/16 wav files into a single interleaved 5.1 48/16 wav file.
I have tried assigning each track to subgroup 1/2/3/4/5/6 and exporting as wav, and I only get a mono wav file. What I am monitoring before export is correct, each channel is assigned to the correct speaker and level is correct (unity!) but then after export it won't save as a single interleaved wav. At best it saves the 6 files in a folder CALLED "exporttitle"wav with the wav suffix, but thats not a file, its a folder. Is this a bug in soundtrack 2.0.1 or is there a simple solution?
The other thing I will try today is assigning each track to the associated speaker in the surround panner, and exporting the master mix as 5.1 interleaved wav. Basically the audio has already been mixed elsewhere, I just need to get it into a 5.1 wav file and it's crucial I don't change levels or pan settings at all.

Thanks, exactly what I was after. I'd used a PC equivalent to do the same thing. Soundtrack worked too, once I hard panned things to appropriate areas and exported 5.1 interleaved wav, but I prefer the straight up approach of the software you recommended.

Placing 24/192 WAV files on iTunes for playback through Wadia 170 iTranspor

I record live music on a Sound Devices 722 digital audio recorder at 24/192 as WAV files. I can import the 24/192 WAV file into iTunes on a Mac and the bit rate is displayed as 9216 kps. This makes sense since 24x192=9216. When I click on the song in iTunes it plays back at the correct tempo.
I bought a Wadia 170 iTransport since it says it will output bit perfect digital files. I'd love to hear my recordings this way over my sound system. I understand that this would chew up drive space real fast on an iPod. However . . .
I can't get my iPod to accept the 9216 kps song files. I went to set iTunes / Preferences / Advanced / Importing to WAV but the options for sample rate only go up to 48.0 kps and the bit rate up to 16-bit.
Any thoughts or suggestions on how to overcome this will be appreciated.

I'm from germany so no 'best buy' but I think I will lock around sleeve/bag for a different product with same measures. Any tip?
The clear plastic case is not what I want. I would like to use the player without such protections. I just want a sleeve to protect the player while its in my jacket/pants.
Btw, i have bought this version: Creative Zen (maybe european version?). I also doesn't seem to have your mentioned sleeve. I also couldn't find it on the website.

How do I stop iTunes from automatically opening .wav files

I recently arranged to have voicemails to a business number sent to me in the form of .wav files that I check at the end of the day from my home PC. I was disappointed to learn that when I open the email and double click the .wav file it automatically imports it to my music library in iTunes (also selecting to be synched). I am just trying to get these files to open in Quicktime. Any help?

Can you tell me how? I am having the same issue, but I think mine is opening automatically whenever I download any new music files.

How do I get the block duration for wave file playback?

I'm using a LV example "Getting Started with sound and vibration express vi's (simulated). When I play back the examples the audio does not match the graphing updates as the file is played. That is, the sound continues to play after the graphs have finished reading the file. I can change the input box "block duration (s)" to achieve playback coordination between graph updates and audio. Is it possible to calculate this value from data included in the file? If not then if I have a vi that records sound to a wav file could the "block duration" be calculated there and passed to the playback vi? Just not sure what makes up the block duration. Thanks

Hi Mike,
The Block Duration that is configured from the Front Panel is a control that is used to determine how much of the sound file has the analysis performed. From the Block Diagram the Block Duration control is used to calculate the subset of the Get Waveform Subset.vi. Also notice the sound file is opened prior to entering the case structure, thus will begin first to execute due to dataflow. This may be easier to see using highlight execution. The sound VIs are not affected by the Block Duration at all as the entire sound file will be played. Take the data from your sound file and display it onto a chart or begin processing as in the Read Sound File to Chart.vi example for immediate updates Hopefully this helps!

Flash Lite - Automatic playback of SWF-files within MMS

Dear flash communty,
I've the problem that SWF-files doesn't play automatically when I open the MMS I received. I tried to solve the problem with SMIL files, but it seams that the Flash Lite player doesn't support these scripts. Does anyone of you know anything else to solve the problem? Is there another way to implement this feature?

We have been working with one of our customers on delivering
an on line sales tool using the Adobe Connect environment. They for
the usual legal reasons wished to use a sales aid they had already
created. This was a flash based CD-rom with various flash movies
initiated by rollovers and buttons.
But there was two problems:
1. The index would not work i.e. the menu page appeared but
the subsequent movies and animations could not be found
2. The click throughs and rollovers would not synchronizes,
i.e. if the presenter moved forward through the presentation the
participants did not.
Both of these obviously make it useless.
After over three weeks of R&D we (David Kwaw , Steve
Grovenor and J ) have developed a bespoke piece of programing,
based on Sync SWF

that ONLY the presenter has control of the flash presentation,

Wave File Has No Audio in Playback

I have several wave files that don't have an audio when played back. There appears to be frequency levels and when opened in Soundtrack Pro the peaks are moving. I have tried playing the file in iTunes, and Final Cut Pro to no avail. There are a couple of these files that play fine through all of these mediums. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Have you tried either of these formats: AIFF or WAV?
