Playback only working for audio / nothing on screen or MXO-ACD external?

Last week I finished hooking up the MXO to my external 23"ACD. Everything was great; footage playing in the timeline appeared on the external display; footage in the viewer played on the external monitor.
Today I load some additional HD footage and the external monitor is black - plus when I try to playback, even within my primary display, audio is playing but video is not.
External is set to MXO uncompressed 1920x1080 23.98fps RBG; source is Sony EX1 with same res and speed. Even the footage I loaded last week will not play in FCP now.
I'm hoping there is some stupid thing I did that is easy to correct! But I'm not aware of doing anything to the setup from last week.

the solution: You must have "mirror on desktop" enabled in settings. Even though this normally results in a simple passthru of the DVI image, when the external monitor is connected thru the MXO, you get the full proc amp / color calibrated image.
Yes, all the other settings have to match the footage, but that's not the hard part. This setting was a bit counter-intuitive, let's say.

Someone recently noted a problem staying logged on the Huffington Post since it became connected with AOL. The workaround for that is to change your connection setting here:

Click the "Settings" button and choose either "No Proxy" or "Use System Settings" option, and OK the change.
Not sure whether Washington Post could be affected by that same setting.
In reviewing your extensions, I'm puzzled that you have both DoNotTrackMe and SavvyConnect. The first one seems to aggressively block certain communications with websites (potentially affecting functionality) while the second one seems to report on your browsing habits (they better pay well is all I can say). Have you tried disabling both of those to see whether that has any effect?

Airplay only works for Netflix

I'm using an iPad Air running iso 8.1.2. I can watch Netflix using airplay but can't show anything else. Apple online support indicates I need to turn on mirroring, but I can't find the switch, their example shows mirroring in iso 7 on a phone and doesn't help. My objective is to show a Numbers spreadsheet using airplay during a meeting. Can you help?

This isn't an issue. Notice the screen prior to the one that shows usage has an iCloud section and a Manage Storage button. For this button to activate ios needs to download a few kb from icloud. Switching back to this screen forces ios to download those few kb.

Video adapter only works for slide shows.

We received the Apple video adapter today. It appears that it only works for slide shows? It might also work for Keynote, but we don't use that much and haven't installed on the iPad. For our purposes, we'd like to be able to display from other programs- Numbers, Pages, and a PDF reader. This seems counterintuitive to business use if the adaptor isn't fully functional. We are hoping that a software upgrade will make the adaptor functional.

On starup the display only works for 2 or 3 seconds after this is black, I connect to a external display and using de FN+F5 i can see everything on the second display, if I turn to the internal display using FN+F5 it works only the same 2 or 3 seconds.

If you can see everything on the external screen the graphic card itself is ok and works properly! So the problem must be the internal display itself or a part of it like FL inverter
Its hard to say what part exactly and I think this can only be done from professional people. So you should contact nearest authorized service provider in your country and ask the guys for help. Im sure the problem can be clarified with the guys very easy because they have professional diagnostic tools. Also they can order original Toshiba spare parts to exchange the defective hardware part.

Trusted Sites GPO only works for administrators

I've got a major problem and was hoping somebody could help me. I've got a hundred users or so that connect to an RDS Farm. The RDS farm is made up of several Windows Server 2008 R2 servers. One with IE 10 and the other with IE 8.
The problem that I'm having is if add sites to zone assignment in group policy and add sites to the trusted zone it will only work for users that are administrators. I found a reference to this problem and the issue being IE Enhanced Security, but
Enhanced Security is turned off.
If I'm a normal user with Remote Desktop User rights and I go into IE and check Trusted Sites, there is nothing there. If I login as administrator and check I can see all the trusted sites.
Anyone know how I can fix this?

Please check if you have the computers or users needing the policy are in a group that is specified. Remember that domain users includes all users, domain computers includes all computer, and authenticated users includes both users and computer. By
default, a GPO will be scoped to Authenticated Users.
Also please run gpresult command on non-administrator user to check if it sync to client successfully.

Caching service only works for OS X updates and not for Apps

Hello,
It seems that my OS X Server Caching service only works for Apple OS X Software Updates (in Mac App Store updates, when the icon of Mountain Lion appears). I see it in my logs in verbose mode when I download an Apple OS X Software Updates and not when I download an app in Mac Appstore.
So I'm sure my Caching service works but not for all downloads.
Why ? What's wrong with my server ?
I read in some blogs that Caching Server can work for iOS devices appstore too. I try to download some apps with my iphone but nothing happens in logs ...
Can somebody help me about the Caching Server ?

Why does the sound only work for certain programs?

It sounds like you have System Sounds muted. Either the switch on the side, or double tap the home button and swipe to the right, ICON will be on the far left. If the ICON is screen lock related, then it is the switch on the side.

Sometimes this works

However, sometimes an iOS update breaks compatibility and you will have to wait for an firmware update for the Bose or an iOS update.

ICElim logic only work for 2006

I have created four sets of test data using the IC Input schedule template of Apshell. all the current value did not change except the time dimension, which I choose a month for 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008. a Rec data and Payable data were generated for each of test scenario. then I run the IC Elimination package. I notice that the IC Logic is only working for the test data of 2006. I check the log for the other three scenario, they are fail because " No Record to Process" after the three select statement for fact table, fact2 table and WB table.
I test the other months from 2006, all of them work, while all the months from 2005,2007, 2008 is not working
Anybody has experience of this?

Boy do I feel stupid!!!
I know what's happening and here is how I figured it out.
In desperation, I followed Apple supports instructions to reinstall Logic Express 8. I kept my fingers crossed praying this would do it. I loaded a blank project and then selected a simple piano instrument. I played all the notes until the note that was giving me problems. Guess what? It still wouldn't play!
I nearly lost it until I asked myself one simple question: " what is between my controller keyboard and my Logic software?" Answer: My M-Audio Uno midi interface. I went to M-Audio's website downloaded the same bloody driver update as three months ago, reinstalled it and voila! Problem solved.
So if any of you are experiencing this nightmare, reinstall your midi driver and before you fire up logic again run a little test in your mac's audio/midi setup as I did. You will realize everything works. Now fire up your Logic Express and start making your music ASAP cause music makes the world go round. BTW: I have every intention of replacing that midi device with something more professional because I for one cannot even sleep when my studio is not functional.

I don't get a spinning ball, it just stops working at whatever page it's on. I can close the program just fine but when I re-open it, either safari or firefox, it freezes trying to load the hompage. This started a few days ago after trying to stream a movie on my computer. I'm on a Mac Air OS X Version 10.6.8 and have downloaded all updates. When I go into finder, it says I have over 80 gigs available. Is there some other memory cache that I need to check? Thanks so much for your help.

I'm not trying to belittle your issues; you're certainly having them and I know first hand how annoying an intermittent AirPort issue can be. (In fact, mine was due to an AirPort driver bug that no one else seemed to suffer from.)
The single best diagnostic you could do is take your system running 10.5.7 to an Apple Store, and try using their in-store network.
If your machine performs flawlessly, it may be a router issue.
If your machine has connectivity issues there, it may be a hardware problem with your machine.
There have been numerous people in multiple threads over the years who swore that an update was buggy because things used to work, but returned later to sheepishly admit that they took their machine in, a problem was found and fixed, and now their Mac works flawlessly with the newer software.
But simply reinstalling 10.5.5 in no way means the explanation of how firmware bugs may be at play here is incorrect.
In the context of that explanation, all you've done is possibly reinstall software that asks to add "2 + 3."

Ok so I happened to figure it out while on the phone to apple support. Even though the guy was very nice, I think I knew more than him! He was explaining very basic resolution principles I played about. I had the second option in displays resolution. All I did was unplug the HDMI cable, click on 'best for display' then plugged the HDMI in and my resolution on the normal monitor changed to the normal blue, then went black momentarily and then changed to a strange resolution but another window appeared that said SONY BRAVIA HDMI at the top! Hey presto! Don't know why it didn't do it yesterday - I probably left the HDMI cable in or something! Oh well. Problem solved!

You need to give more info..
Firstly only works for what.. networking.. backup.. wireless. You need more nouns.. more adjectives... describe what you want and what fails.. then we can figure out why.
Most likely you have bridged it when it should be in router mode..
Most likely you are using Lion or ML which has the airport utility bridge the TC by default.
Change it to working as a router. That might help.
If you press reset button it will default back to router btw.
