Playback Settings grayed out in Premiere CS6 trial?

As I wait for my serial numbers to come in, I am starting with the Production Premium CS6 trial.
I would like to have my second monitor show full screen, but the Playback Settings in the dropdown menu is grayed out.
Is this a "trial" limitation?

It is really really annoying in this new forum format that one does not know..who one is responding to.
This must be fixed for ease of communication and understanding.
Actually..I have no 3rd party and in fact...I was wrong...
I confused the fact that I had my 2nd monitor working with the "greyed out issue".
I am greyed out as Colin B reasoning points out. Not an issue.
I will be reinstalling 3rd party hardware soon to see what it does for me.

CS5 Playback Settings grayed out and no longer can set playback on external monitor.

I like to view my projects while editing on an external monitor but the Playback Settings are grayed out. I've done all my prior projects with external monitor display enabled with no problems and can go back to a prior projects completed and view them using an external playback monitor. For some reason, the Playback Settings on my latest project are grayed out and I'm not able to set Desktop Video Display During Playback.
The last project worked on was about 3 months ago. Last week, I started working on two new projects and noticed that I wasn't able to set playback to my external monitor. All my devices are hooked up and I can review older projects on the external monitor but can't set two new projects to use display on the external monitor.
Anyone have any ideas?
Problem solved. My fault.
The Sequence Preset Settings selected must support the device the external monitor is connected to. In my case, IEEE 1394 firewire. I corrected the new project to the correct Sequence Settings and can now view playback on the external monitor.

So everything should be covered on that front. And as I listed, I was getting playback out of AE CC, so I feel it is solely an issue in Premiere. That was worth checking out though since CC is so new. Thanks for replying.

No video playback in premiere CS6 trial

Hi,
I am trying to use the Adobe Premiere CS6 trial on my laptop but I can't get the video playback to display at all. There is audio playback, just no video. I can get a paused frame to show if I double-click on the playback area but pressing play does not make the video play, only the audio. Stopping the playback displays the latest current frame again.
My laptop's specs are as follows:
Toshiba notebook
Intel i7 2.40GHz
8gb RAM
500+ gb free space
Windows 8 64
Latest Intel display drivers installed
The video files I am importing in my sequence are .mov files, 1920x1088 @ 23 FPS.
Any help will be appreciated!

In rare instances, the setting to turn on Wi-Fi on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch may appear grayed out or dim. You may see the following when you tap Settings > Wi-Fi.
If this occurs, you can't turn Wi-Fi on, and when you try to turn Wi-Fi on, your device won't respond. If you're using iOS 7, Wi-Fi may appear to turn on and off in Control Center, but Wi-Fi won't respond.
Resolution
Follow these steps to resolve the issue:
Restart your iOS device.
Make sure that airplane mode is off by tapping Settings > Airplane Mode.
Reset the network settings by tapping Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
This will reset all network settings, including Bluetooth pairing records, Wi-Fi passwords, VPN, and APN settings.
Make sure that your device is using the latest software. To do so, connect your device to your computer and check for updates in iTunes.
If you still can't turn Wi-Fi on, please contact Apple for support and service options. If you can turn Wi-Fi on but are experiencing other issues with Wi-Fi, please see these steps.

I have done everything from "Reset Network Settings" to "Erase All Content and Settings" and finally restoring the iOS Software (7.0.6), but the Wi-Fi settings are still grayed out. Bluetooth is also not getting enabled. Can anyone suggest what can be done?

How many days left with premiere cs6 trial?

how do i know how many days i have left on my premiere cs6 trial version? where does it even indicate that the trial version is a trial version?

When you start up the software, It'll indicate how many days are left for the trial. A trial is usually 30 days, and the countdown starts on first launch.
The software is fully functional and the trial is not limited in any way. Only that it'll stop working after the trial period is up. At that stage you can enter a serial number and convert the trial to a licensed version.

GPU acceleration is grayed out in Premiere and AE, but not in Media Encoder. However, rendering is slow in all 3 programs.

It worked fine in CS6.
Now, everytime I open a project (Pr or Ae) I get the message: This project was last used with GPU Accelerated rendering. This happens with all projects, even with those that I created in Pr/Ae CC, with GPU Accelerated rendering already disabled.
In Media Encoder, the GPU Acceleration is not grayed out, but still if I render a premiere sequence or an ae comp via ME, its very very slow. (takes 5 hours for a video that took 20 mins in CS6)
Any thoughts?

I think I found the problem. On the website you linked, it says:

When searching for drivers, I only found sites like these: AMD Radeon HD 7650M drivers

Premiere CS6 Trial ++ Cloud Trial ??

Two Enquiries:
Quick question about the 30-day trial offers.
If I try out the downloaded version of Premiere Pro CS6 for up to 30 days,
will it void my chances of also trying the Creative Cloud for a 30-day trial?
... meaning, can I do both, say, back-to-back?
And, a question about keeping my current CS3 system intact
while doing either of the CS6 (single app trial, as in Premiere Pro, or Creative Cloud) trials ...
Since I have a paid-for full CS3 package, I want to keep it intact on my Mac
during any trials I partake of; in case I discontinue the trials for any reason, that I
can revert back to using CS3 apps. I simply can't afford an upgrade of the full package.
Is there any problem or issues with CS6 over-riding or "un-installing" my CS3 suite
on my Mac, ie, can I keep them both running in parallel somehow? (ie, my CS3 suite + CS6 cloud trial
or CS6 cloud monthly subscription).

I would ike to try out the 1 month trial version of the CREATIVE CLOUD APPS.
In a live online chat with an Adobe "chat agent" (who seems rather clueless ... you guys really have to stop subbing out to 3rd-world tech services...), they indicate that the 1-month free trial is limited or crippled somehow, but they don't have a clue how, and they don't seem to know why Adobe would not indicate this on their website.
Seems odd that you would get a "crippled" trial version to test out the apps? Like taking a car for a test drive with no tires? *uh... * ...

Flattener Preview Highlight Settings Grayed Out

Had to re-install of my Adobe programs due to an overal computer issue.
I am running Mac OS X 10.7.5 - Adobe Acrobat X - Adobe InDesign CS5.5
I have not had this issue before the reinstall. I have a Adobe InDesign file and did an export to PDF.
I chose Adobe PDF Preset - Smallest File Size, I used the default settings for Smallest File Size preset.
When I opened that file in Acrobat and went to Tools > Print Production > Flattener Preview
When the Flattener Preview window opens at the top it show preview settings. Under the "Highlight" section
the selections are grayed out. I am using items with tranparency within the PDF. Also I have successfully used this
option with this file before. Not sure what is causing the highlight options to be grayed out.
Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you!

After hours of messing with this I think I figured it out! Seems like a possible bug in the program. Turns out that even though pages throughout the PDF had trasparency, in this particular case, the first page in the PDF did not. So the "highlight" pull-down menu window is grayed out and it seems to be because the first page does not have transparency even though I had "all pages" checked.
So I went back into the PDF and selected a page that HAD transparency. Then when back into the flattener preview settings and clicked on "all pages" and went back to the "Highlight" menu and trasparency selections were there.
So seems like a weird bug in Acrobat that you have to have a page in the preview window that has transparency for it to work on all pages.
Hope this makes sense!
