PlayBook 'Accounts' screen just displays rotating green circle
When I open the Gears tab and select Accounts I just get the green spinning circle. 'Default Accounts' and 'Add New Account' are both grayed out, I had set up Gmail but there are no accounts listed on the screen. I shut of wifi and bridge, it doesn't make a difference if I have an internet connection or not. Any idea how to get access to 'Accounts' again?

try removing the shaw one and see if it persists
if ok after try using gmail to access the shaw account and read items in gmail instead

Thanks but I found my problem. It was easy oncew I found out the flask player was also called shockwave. My shockwave add-on was disabled. I'm not certain what caused the condition. I was good one day and not getting the error messages the next day. But, I know what to look for in the future if it reoccurs. Thanks again.

MY DAUGHTERS IPOD TOUCH HAD NO AVAILABLE SPACE LEFT IN MEMORY SO WE TRIED TO CONNECT IT TO ITUNES TO SAVE PICS TO MY LAPTOP AND THEN UPDATE IT BUT ITUNES SAID IT DID NOT RECOGNIZE THIS DEVICE. SINCE THEN, IT IS ONLY DISPLAYING WHAT I WOULD SAY IS THE LOADING CIRCLE SPINNING AROUND AND AROUND THEN SHOWS THE APPLE LOGO FOR A SECOND THEN GOES BACK TO THE SPINNING CIRCLE. IT CANNOT CONNECT TO ITUNES NOW BECAUSE ITS LOCKED BUT WE CAN'T GET THE MAIN SCREEN TO OPEN IT WITH THE PASSWORD...PLEASE HELP
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

My iphone screen just shows red, green and grey lines?
I dropped my iphone 5 on gravel and the glass was all cracked but still working perfectly, the other day i dropped it again inside my house, working fine, but some glass fell out, then this morning I squeezed it a little hard and part of the glass was off, then i pushed it back in and about a quarter of the screen went black, and the rest got darker, and it also would open things and select things on its own, then after it was in my pocket the entire screen turned to black with some green, red and other colored lines on the black, it will still vibrate for messages and when i hold the home button i hear the siri thing. Do I need an entire new phone(which i really dont want to replace it) or can this be fixed? and if it can, is it just the screen or also some internal parts? Thanks for reading
Have you tried creating a backup then restoring the phone as new? If it's still happening on a wiped phone, it's almost definitely a hardware issue that needs to be repaired

Ceative Account Home just displays spinning icon.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled the creative cloud app several times on Windows 8.1 and the above is what I get every time. The Apps, Files, Fonts and Behance tabs seem normal in that I am able to download and install programs.
This seemed to work, as there were missing files:
I checked the folder CEPServiceManager4 (C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\CEPServiceManager4) and CEPServiceManager.exe was missing along with libcurl.dll, libeay32.dll, ssleay32.dll. These dlls are used for network access.
Uninstall all the Adobe CC products using Prorams and Features
Go to C:\Users\<User Name>\AppData\Local\Adobe and delete the OOBE folder.
Go to C:\Users\<User Name>\AppData\Local\Temp and delete all the files/folders, you will not be able to delete some so ignore these.
Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CC\Plug-ins and copy out any or your own plugins.
Go to C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CC (64 Bit)\Plug-ins and copy out any or your own plugins.
Use the the Creative Cloud cleaner tool http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html.
Reinstall the CC apps.
Start Photoshop CC and if it asks to copy the Photoshop CS6 settings do this. It may not be necessary.
Exit Photoshop CC
Copy back our own plugins into C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CC\Plug-ins and C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CC (64 Bit)\Plug-ins.
This seems to have solved the problem. -
Got OS2 finally installed, but I get the "green circle of death" on Limited Warranty screen :-(
Before I go on my sob story I will say that I'm a BlackBerry lover, I dig the company, I like their phones and I've wanted a PlayBook since I first saw the commercials. Yesterday, after months of waiting for a good deal and the release of OS2 we went to Staples and bought one, they threw in a zip case and docking charger for free. Now to the issue:
I've had a really, really uncool Playbook experience so far. We bought one yesterday, and after 4 calls to tech, multiple attempts to use desktop to force update we gave up, concluded the thing was "bricked/nuked" from the word go. Sucks. So we return it to Staples. Guy there said we can get another unopened one or he's got some that he's gone thru the process of updating but it will cost an extra $30. My guts told me to go for it, but the wife spoke first and she wanted a new one. *sigh* We got it home, had issues (which we sorted by hooking it up to another computer) I eventually succeeded in getting OS2 on the PB but it took about 2 hours to download onto machine. Now, it's got the perpetually spinning green circle of death on the Limited Warranty screen. This is madness. It won't go past the Blackberry ID screen (same issue I had with the machine that we took back, WTF???!!!)
If I knew setting up a Playbook would have been this agonizing, I would NEVER have bought one till they released the next generation. I know people who've bought other tablets and not one has said that they would rather staple their nuts to a cactus than go through the initial setup process again. I've watched demos online (from BlackBerry and YouTube), and they make it look SO easy. This has been ANYTHING but. I haven't even gotten to play on this thing. The commercials made it look like a fun thing to use, and as we own a book-keeping business we can use a cloud storage system with QuickBooks this would be much easier than dragging a laptop around. I have an open ticket with Support, but before I call them again, is there anything I can do from here? Right now I'm letting the batteries recharge on dock station before doing the power down/hook up to desktop and hope, hope, hope that it's smooth sailing from there. Is that too much to ask?
If I ever get this thing running; if anybody asks if I would recommend a PlayBook, my initial response would be "no". Get anything but. I don't want to say it, but this has not been what I expected from BlackBerry. I am far from a happy customer and I hope that this thing absolutely blows my mind when I get it running, because it's going to have to or it's going back and we'll get something else from a competitor or just keep lugging the laptop around.Well, we tried the reset. Still in loop. Even went to a free internet hotspot to get a good connection as it kept saying that it wouldn't connect. Still didn't work. We never got out of the initial setup, and we have never used Bluetooth so I don't believe that was the problem. The wife has totally lost patience; it was her purchase, I just got the job of trying to set it up. I think she's going to take this one back and either a) make them get it to work b) buy one that is already upgraded by Staples staff or c) pull the pin altogether and the only tablet that will be in her life is the kind she takes for a headache. I'll find out later. Thanks for the suggestions.

I have an Intel based iMac that has just developed two small spots on the screen - they look light brighter spots on the screen. One 1/8" circle at bottom right and a tiny circle at top right. The fading on and off light on area surrounding the screen isn't working anymore either. Has anyone else had similar problems? Any solutions? Thanks!
One way to test is to Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, Test for problem in Safe Mode...
PS. Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive
Reboot, test again.
If it only does it in Regular Boot, then it could be some hardware problem like Video card, (Quartz is turned off in Safe Mode), or Airport, or some USB or Firewire device, or 3rd party add-on, Check System Preferences>Accounts>Login Items window to see if it or something relevant is listed.
Check the System Preferences>Other Row, for 3rd party Pref Panes.
Also look in these if they exist, some are invisible...

My screen refuses to rotate (the home screen). I already double clicked home button and scrolled over, the circle arrow does NOT have the lock inside it. I went thru all the settings and can find nothing to try and fix this. Do I need to send the phone back? Is it broken? I just got it yesterday. It has not been damaged in any way. Please help.

I was downloading an app and it wasnt downloadnig so i turned my ipod off and now its a just a black screen with the the loading circle. Its been like that for 10 hours. How do i get back to my home screen? or how do i get the litle loading circle to go away.. it wont even load into itunes

while updating my ipad to new software through itunes it got stuck and does not work anymore - it just displays the screen with symbols of itunes and the cable to connect to it - help - what should i do?
Disconnect the iPad, do a Reset [Hold the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons down together for 10 seconds or so (until the Apple logo appears) and then release. The screen will go blank and then power ON again in the normal way.] It is 'appsolutely' safe!, reconnect and follow the prompts.

I downloaded the iCloud control panel on my PC but can't sign in - message says "This apple ID is valid but not an iCloud account. I've tried the account set up several times but it keeps just spinning me in circles, asking me to sign in and then I get the same message again. This is getting frustrating and I really don't seem to be able to get help. I can't contact customer support because I have a PC and there is a serial number of an apple device required.Can anyone help please?
You can't setup (create) an iCloud account using a PC. You must use an Apple device, a Mac or an iPhone etc. Once you have created an account you can sign in from your PC.

My 4th Gen ipod touch has crashed, just displaying a bark blue screen. It will not turn off or respond to any buttons being pressed or held for a number of minutes. Connecting to the laptop does not help either. Has anyone had this happen on their i touch or have a solution??

Double click the home button (square) and all the things you did are there.keep sliding the bar that will come up on the bottom to the left till it cant go anymore there should be a icon looking like this.press that and it should work

When it tries find the hard drive to startup the harddrive disappears
