Playbook app approval

Hi,
I submitted an app for approval nearly 2 weeks ago now and it still has not been approved, or even reviewed by Blackberry for that matter.
The status is "Pending Review 2 Open CR(s)" and it says "None" under Reviews.
The app is supposed to sell for 99 cents.
Am I missing something or does approval always take this long?

My two previous apps both took around 15 days for approval. With the recent Port-A-Thons, the process may take even longer - but they do eventually go through.

Playbook App World pricing in UK

I have noticed for awhile now that the exchange rate hasn't been changed in the UK for its apps for playbook. For example Angry birds just came out on the playbook and in the US it is $4.99 and in the UK it's £4.99. Surely we are paying more in the UK for apps than USA then right.
I have noticed this for alot of apps in the app world on the playbook and wondered if anyone else has noticed it and if this is getting fixed?

I'm guessing that this app has just had the PB app approved (which is why the download button is there) but the description has not been updated. They go through a seperate review process on AppWorld.
This looks quite handy though. Might be worth seeing if it gets updated soon.

IPad App Approved, How to Build/Submit iPhone Version?

I've got an iPad app approved and working well through iTunes, but now that the feature is available, I want to publish this for iPhone. I've got a few questions about the best process:
FYI—I've already got my new folios created for iPhone resolutions (as renditions with the same Product ID).
1. Is it best that I build an iPhone and iPad version of the app and submit it to Apple as a Version update (can I even do this with Apple)? Or should I build just an iPhone version and submit that as a separate app?
2. Why do I not get the iTunes Subscription option when I try to build the app in Viewer Builder (I chose to make an app for both iPhone and iPad). Multi-Issue is selected and grayed out so I can't change it.

I'm trying to do exactly the same this morning.
When I open Viewer Builder and try to modify the app (v19, multi-issue) you couldn't go back and select ipad and iphone devices with iOS.
I didn't try, but I think you probably have to create a new app with the same ID and settings, new certificates, etc... and submit to Apple this new one as an update.
Am I right?

A PlayBook app in 24 hours

Purchased Playbook apps not available for reinstall

Three Playbook apps I purchased (Dead Space, Madden and SimCity), are not showing up in the Uninstalled list in App World so I am unable to reinstall them. How can I get them back?

I am having the same problem and came here looking for an answer. I purchased Madden before the OS2 update. Now they are not showing in my uninstalled list so I cannot get them back.

Wordpress app approved in one day, others continue to wait weeks?

So I came across this last night:

wow.. so while some people have waited 2+ weeks, wordpress gets their app
approved almost instantly.
i know life isn't fair but the app store should be.

While I am generally of the opinion that WordPress' code is absolute garbage which no sane person should ever allow on their server unmodified, I have a hard time imagining that any product they release would fail to dwarf this mysterious "eWallet" in terms of popularity several hundred times over.
What are you even supposed to do with it? Pull out a phone, show the cashier a picture of a cartoon credit card and swear you have the real thing at home somewhere? I was so excited by this prospect that I burned my real wallet in anticipation, so do I get to pay for the software with pictures of money, too?
Aside from looking like Windows softare of dubious merit, eWallet would also seem to use a great deal of encryption which is only going to kick them even further out of the queue due to export restrictions. I'll have to assume that you work for the company responsible for this product because I honestly cannot imagine anyone feeling personally insulted over such a trivial issue otherwise. Just get the voice actor from your demo videos to read you a bedtime story and I'm sure the shell of tension will be chipped away with every halting, over-enunciated syllable.
Bottom line is if you don't like it then you shouldn't develop for the platform. I'm certainly not.

0008 install error for upgrade playbook app

Hi, BlackBerry approved and we were able to upgrade our apps. However, we found that they are unable to install. The error mesasge shows "Install Error: [0008] There was a problem during installation. Please try again".
I had looked around other sources but couldn't find any information about this. Does anyone know the solution on this?
Device : PlayBook, OS ver. 2.1.0.1526

App approved but not showing up in itunes

My app was approved on October 7, 2014 and is not showing up in the itunes store. How can this problem be resolved.

We have the same problem. Our app was approved on October 9, 2014 and is unavailable in App Store.

Can't access my PlayBook App World Account.

I keep getting an error message.

I can't access my account, make purchases or updates.
I have 2 Playbook with the same account, it's problably the reason.
In any case, can anyone assist me in removing the account on the other Playbook to place it on this one the 64Gb one.

On your device when you go Options > Device > Application Management > Are you able to view those applications ?
Or on your device Open BlackBerry World > My World > Are you able to view those apps ? If not then try to clear App World Cache , to do that refer to this KB :
KB24714 : How to Clear BlackBerry App World Cache .
After clearing perform a Battery pull restart by removing the battery while your device is Powered On , wait for a min. then reinsert it back. After reboot please check My World and see if those application are available on that list , from which you can reinstall if needed .
Click " Like " if you want to Thank someone.
If Problem Resolves mark the post(s) as " Solution ", so that other can make use of it.

Purchase and download Playbook apps

We don't use a Blackberry phone. We have a Playbook. How then do we get access to the apps?
According to this site, the first step is to install the Blackberry App World plugin. The second step is to connect your Smartphone, and I presume that's a Blackberry phone. Since we have a Playbook and not a Blackberry phone, we're not allowed to proceed. But in reading the threads below, it appears a fair number of Playbook users actually buy and download apps for their Playbooks. How do they do it?

Here's a fairly detailed description of what happens when I get an app; I hope it gives you an idea where the problem is in your process.
When I turn my PB on, the first screen I see (after the balloons, etc.) has five icons at the top right; the middle icon is a quarter circle with some green arcs indicating that wifi is on and connected (if it's not, I touch the gear wheel which is the rightmost icon, select Wi-Fi from the list on the left, make a connection, then go back to the first screen). On the next line either All or Favorites is highlighted, and the App World icon is in the third line. I touch that, and the App World display opens up. I use the search window at top right to find Tetris, and touch to open the description window. I touch download, and the screen shifts to the downloaded apps window, where there is a progress bar showing that Tetris is downloading. When it's finished, I close the Apps World window, which brings me back to the first page, which has icons for all my installed apps. I make sure All is highlighted on the second line, and swipe to the bottom of the page, to find Tetris.
If the app is not free, the Download button on the description screen is replaced by a Purchase button, and touching it opens a login window asking you for your BlacklBerry ID and password. The next window gives you the detailds of the purchase, and a chance to set up / change your payment method. When that is complete, touching the Buy Now button at the bottom of the window takes you to the downloaded apps window, described above.
Now I have to go and learn how to play Tetris. Once again, good luck!

Downloaded playbook apps not showing up on playbook?

I'm posting this on behalf of my dad, who like me has a playbook, but i live miles away so i've not been able to set it up for him, so this is a slightly garbeled message from him:
When he got the playbook he did all the inital signing up (he doesnt have a blackberry phone, just the playbook) and as far as he is aware he signed up for a blackberry account. He is able to go onto the app world and download apps, which go into the 'My World' section and have a delete opeion etc. So to me it sounds like he is logged in and can download.
However, they arent showing up on the playbook? With mine I download them and then they appear with all the icons on the bottom screen, but his are nowhere to be found?
Has anyone come across this or got any suggestions?

I feel real intelligent right about now!
The icons were there all along on the first page of the Home Screen where all the App Icons are kept.
All I had to do (on that first page) was to scroll down to the bottom of the Page to see the newly installed Apps.
This solved my problem, which turned out to be a Layer 8 issue as suspected.

I'm new on SAPUI5 technology, I need to do a simple configuration on standard Fiori app Travel expenses Approval (bsp ui5_fi_trex_apv).
I need to hide ui elements and change text translation of some labels.
I followed the guide 'Extending and testing SAP Fiori Apps', but I have some difficulty in the implementation of file component.js.
For example I need to hide the table TEA_LIST_COSTASSIGNMENTS in view details.Home.
I copied the example code excerpted from the guide, but I do not know how to retrieve the following values from standard app:
jQuery.sap.registerModulePath
jQuery.sap.declare
jQuery.sap.require

Playbook app icon

I packaged an app using flash professional and the blackberry SDK and included the following app icons in the publish command line icon36.png icon48.png icon 72.png but when the app appears on the simulator there is no icon, its just a question mark. What have I done wrong?

PlayBook has 86x86 pixel icons. Include them in your bar-descriptor.xml (blackberry-tablet.xml) like this:
   <icon>
      <image>icon86x86.png</image>
   </icon>
