Playbook charges from 0% to 100% in few seconds

Its difficult to get my Playbook to start charging in the first place, the red charging light comes on for about 10seconds, goes off and then back on again. When the Playbook eventually starts to charge it goes from 0% to 100% in few seconds showing the full green. When I power it with the charger on, all the functions work, but battery level just fluctuates between 0 and 100% without really charging. On removing the charging cable, the tablet goes off completely. Any suggestions on how to solve this please?

It sounds like the battery is worn out and needs to be replaced. That's not an easy task.

My computer meets the requirements.
All software (Windows, iTunes and QuickTime) are up to date.
As for updating my drivers, I found nothing labeled 'Video'. The closest thing I found in Computer/Manage/Device Manager was to click + next to 'Display Adapters' under that I found 'Intel (R) HD Graphics Family' which I right-cicked. From the menu, instead of 'Properties', I selected 'Update Driver Software...', then I selected 'Search Automatically for updated driver software'. I saw the messages "Searching for Software... Searching online for Software... The best driver software for your device is already installed. Windows has determined the driver software for your device is up to date." I got these same messages when I searched for updated audio drivers.
My computer is already at the highest display resolution. (1366 x 768 recommended) That's as high as my resolution will go. Hmm, I noticed the article's example shows '(1920 x1080 recommended)'. Is my max 1366 x 768 resolution high enough?
As for QuickTime, deselecting 'Enable Direct3D video acceleration' had no effect. Disabling the DirectX entirely (Safe mode (GDI only)) allowed the audio to play, but there was no video, only a black screen.
As for turning on DMA, the only item under 'IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers' is 'Intel Mobile Express Chipset SATA AHCI Controller' So I right-clicked, selected 'Properties'. There's no 'Advanced Settings' tab in there. The tabs are 'General, Drivers, Details, Resources' no 'Advanced Settings' anywhere. So much for that.
'Readyboost' was already set at 'Do not use'.
No 'NVIDIA nForce Serial ATA (SATA) controllers' exist in my computer.
The problem still exists. Please help.

Charger going from amber to green every few seconds

I've had my macbook since october of 2006 and I replaced my charger in november of 2009 because my old one had melted. The other day my charger started simultaneously switching from amber to green every 5 seconds. I was just wondering if this is a sign that my battery is starting to die for good? I would assume its the battery because the charger is fairly new and I know that the batteries usually only last for a certain number of charges. I just want to make sure its the battery before I go out and buy a replacement. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Its says the cycle count is 282, for condition it says check battery, for charge remaining it says 1584, it says no for fully charged, it says yes for charging, and the full charge capacity is 1584. This leads me to believe that my battery is not going to last much longer. Am I correct? and by the way thank you for your help thus far.

BB Curve tried 2 new batteries won't charge - battery icon flashes yellow for few seconds then shows a black plug

BB Curve 9360. Please help.
My 6 month old battery stopped taking a charge. Had left to charge overnight from the mains and phone was dead in morning. Wouldn't turn on or take a charge.
Had a spare battery from before and tried this. Charged to 25% and then showed battery icon with black plug and wouldn't take any more. If unplug and re-plug, shows yellow flash as if charging for a few seconds and then shows black plug. 25% charge runs down very quickly.
Bought a new battery. Exactly same experience. Sometimes gets between 5 - 25% charge but mostly is completely dead and not enough power to get beyond red flashing indicator.
Tried on and off. Tried taking out battery (many times!). Tried taking battery out while charging, waiting 30 seconds and then replacing battery (many times). Tried 3 other chargers, both from mains and from USB.
Have left it plugged in for hours even when showing black plug or just empty red battery - nothing. Just dies completely and hard to get enough power to get started again.
Left it unplugged and without battery for 2 days. Plugged into mains, got yellow flash and then black plug. Every time got black plug would unplug and re-plug to get yellow flashing back. Got it to 80% that time. But now gone back to only reaches 5% or won't take a charge and just red batterys sometimes with black plug or just empty, red flashing indicator.
Plugged into BB desktop manager to back up and checked for software updates. No updates available.
Only thing I can think is mini USB slot on BB is broken and need a new phone. Any ideas of anything else to try before bite the bullet??? Thank you!!

Sound from videos stops after a few seconds on Quicktime

I bought a new Samsung camera and took some videos at a concert. When I put the videos on my MacBook Pro and try to play them on Quicktime, the sound stops after a few seconds. When I try to play them on iMovie or use them in iMovie, not only is there no sound after a few seconds but the sound that is there is sped up.
The audio works fine in VLC but doesn't seem to work with anything else on my Mac. I've tried Perian, Flip4Mac...

I've seen this issue in the past. I think it is connected to the operating system itself. I say this because I reinstalled the os using itunes and then restored a backup. Then garageband started behaving again. Then the issue came back - after I did an os update. So I'd try reverting back to a fresh version of the latest os, and then restoring your apps using a backup.

Since the last OS X update 10.10.3, my apps flash from active to inactive and back again. It happens with all of my open applications, and it keeps me from typing accurately because the app, flashes to inactive while I am trying to type.

When you have the problem, note the exact time: hour, minute, second.
These instructions must be carried out as an administrator. If you have only one user account, you are the administrator.
Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad and start typing the name.
The title of the Console window should be All Messages. If it isn't, select
          SYSTEM LOG QUERIES ▹ All Messages
from the log list on the left. If you don't see that list, select
          View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar at the top of the screen.
Each message in the log begins with the date and time when it was entered. Scroll back to the time you noted above.
Select the messages entered from then until the end of the episode, or until they start to repeat, whichever comes first.

Import of DV camera creates 100s of few second clips

When I import from my dv camera, 100s of small .dv clips are created, most are only 1 or two seconds long. It is all the same recording; how can I import into one clip?

Firefox will not open - disappears from Task Manager after a few seconds

Everything was working perfectly fine last night. I turn on the computer this morning, try to open firefox - nothing. I click it and there's not even an error message or anything. In the Task manager, the firefox.exe appears in the Processes tab for a couple of seconds then it just disappears. I've tried running the computer in Safe Mode to open it, still nothing. I tried the Firefox Safe Mode option, still won't open. I uninstalled, then reinstalled, that didn't help.
Any suggestions? IE works fine, but I really hate using it.

A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox without informing you about that, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.<br />
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process.<br />

Events disappear from the calendar after a few seconds

No synching, cloud, or anything, simply want to enter events and have them stay on the calendar! This is ridiculous.

I had success with this method:
1) make a backup of iCal's database (-> file menu)
2) revert to that same backup ( " " )

Sound from speaker disappears after a few seconds of playing on my x201i.
But in headphones all is ok.
OS: Win7.
I have performed all recomendations from "Troubleshooting audio issues - ThinkPad" but problem still exist.
Can anybody help me?

So here are some screen shots. The first one, I have my text block selected - you can see both fill and outline are set to "none". In the second one, I'm typing - you can see the text and the text is set to a white fill. In the 3rd one all iv'e done is stopped typing - the cursor is in the same place and the text disappears. It won't re-appear unless I click in it and make edits again, then 3 seconds after stopping, it will disappear again. I'm sure this is either a glitch, or a really simple thing that I'm missing because I'm new to InDesign. Thanks so much for your help. I really appreciate it.

My CDs load into itunes but only play the first few second of each song.

When I try to play CDs from itunes only the first few seconds play. I can play CDs from windows media player. At one time I was able to play CDs from itunes.
