Playbook connects but does not communicate Windows 8

I have a playbook 16Gb which was working perfectly until I updated my BB PB to Os 2.1.0.1314 which totally trashed my playbook, first the icons were disappearing & now it wont connect to my Windows 8 Pro even with the BB DM it prompts an error (blackberry desktop software cannot communicate with the connected device) neither does it assign a new drive for Playbook, Did everything turned off Firewall,Windows Defender,updated BB DM,checked original data cable for any damage,turned off wifi & bluetooth,fully charged the Playbook + I even bought a new Usb port.... But it still wont connect!!!
And one more thing when I plug in the data cable & dismiss the (connected to computer screen) an exclamation mark appears on the TOP Left of the screen saying (Unable to charge battery with connected Source)
Would be very thankful if someone helped....

Sorry I was unable to post this comment but fortunately I managed to get a win XP on my PC & now the pb is working absolutely fine,the wifi technique worked for windows 8 but I got a very slow internet connection limited to 1MB/s which was taking ages to upload a heavy file so it did not help me though.

I have done exactly as you say, but it does not work for me.
You indicated " Navigate to the info tab and scroll down. There'll be a check box for 'sync over wifi' or something to that effect. Check that box and sync to affirm your choice."
I navigated to Summary tab (not Info Tab) and checked "Sync with this ipad over Wi-Fi"
I disconnect the wire,
and my iPad disappears from my iTunes screen.
in my iPad ->Settings -> General -> iTunes Wi-Fi Sync -> says " Sync will resume when (my PC) is available.
So, I can not sync via wi-fi
I appreciate if you can help me.

IPhone 4s bluetooth connects but does not work handsfree

My iPhone 4s bluetooth connects but does not work handsfree. Has worked fine with My iPhone 3s. The Light on my VW turns green indicating a connect, but the phone does not work through the VWs audio.

Fixed by power cycling the iPhone

Wireless keyboard connected but does not work.

My wireless numeric keypad is connected to the iMac, but does not work. Wireless keyboard and mouse are OK. Tried connecting/disconnecting and restarting the Mac to no avail. Everything was fine yesterday. Any suggestions?

HP Desjet 2540 problem Wireless printer, printer is connected but does not print from pc

I wanted to install my HP Deskjet 2540 printer, the installation went quickly, the printer is installed wirelessly.. but I can't print. I can print from my tablet to the printer. But ofcourse I also need to print from my pc > printer. I already used the HP print and scan doctor.
when I click at print document the printer icon at the bottom appaers and says, 0 documents waiting list.
Please can somebody help me.. it's driving me crazy!

It sounds to me like it could be an issue with the driver. What happened when you used the Print and Scan Doctor?
I suspect the best approach is to remove the driver for the printer server properties and then readd the printer using the HP Setup and Software. Use the instructions below to perform these tasks.
1. In the ‘Devices and Printers’ folder
2. Choose ‘Print server properties'.
Win XP – With no printer selected, click ‘File’ then ‘Server Properties’.
Windows Vista – With no printer selected, press ‘Alt’ then click ‘File’ then ‘Server Properties’.
Windows 7/8 and 8.1 – Select any printer in the ‘Devices and Printers’ folder and click ‘Print Server properties’ above.
3. Click on the ‘Drivers’ tab at the top of ‘Print server properties’ window
4. Choose the printer you want to uninstall and click ‘Remove’
5. Choose 'Remove driver only"
6. The next screen will give a warning, letting you know that deleting the driver package will remove it from the system. Click ‘Yes’ to say that you are sure you want to do this.
If documents are stuck in the print spooler, you may see an error, cancel any documents pending in the print queue r or try restarting the print spooler, then try to remove the driver from ‘Print server properties’ again. If it still won’t remove the package, restarting the computer should resolve this ‘in use’ error and allow the driver to be removed.
7. Open Start > All Programs > HP folder > Deskjet folder > HP Setup and Software
8. Select "Connect a new printer"
9. Follow the on screen instructions
Please let me know if this resolves the issue you are experiencing. If it does not, please run the Print and Scan Doctor again and see if there are any changes, also, please post back with the results from the Print and Scan Doctor as it may help point me in the right direction.

ITunes downloaded, but does not open-Windows does not support Mac script

I have recently bought a Toshiba laptop with pre-installed Windows Vista. I have managed to download iTunes, but I cannot open it. The computer posts a message saying that it does not support Mac script. I suppose that I need additional software (daemon tools?)? I would be grateful if someone could advise me in relation to this issue.

No, you should need nothing additional. I suspect you may have tried to download the Mac compatible version of iTunes & that's why your getting this message. Make sure you have checked the Windows version & nothe Mac version on the download page.

I am having trouble setting up my time capsule...it connects but does not read my ethernet internet connection...linksys works fine...help please.

Can anyone assist? I thought it would be a very easy setup...jd

Same response to you.. test by ethernet if you haven't already.. and your arrangement is not too difficult.
I am guessing you got into the TC to set it up? How?
If the computer does not receive the correct gateway and dns address you will be able to get access to the TC but not the internet. Check the network settings. Compare what you get when connected via the Netgear which is working with the TC which is not working.
You might be able to get around it by manually setting IP address.
Please make sure you have cable modem plugged into WAN port.. Apple's label is not exactly clear. but the WAN port is slightly separate from the others. And has a different symbol.
I also bet you have Lion on the computer.

Ipod Classic 160GB connects but does not sync to new itunes

I'm having a lot of trouble after installing the latest itunes. My iTunes picks up the ipod as a device but will not sync with it. I've tried to just sync it, ive shut down itunes and turned the ipod off and tried, i've ticked the box that says "convert higher bit rate songs to 128kps AAC" and tried to sync and unticked the box and tried as well. I have also tried going to File ->Devices->sync, and the sync button is shaded so i can't click on it. I have also reset it to factory settings and tried. I'm out of ideas, does anyone else have any?

Check out the article below to troubleshoot if it is software or hardware. Try starting up in Safe Mode or try it out in another user. Also when you removed iTunes, did you remove the other associated files Apple in the specific order indicated in the second article? Let me know if this works out or need to continue troubleshooting.

Ipad3 - Wifi apparently connected but does not allow access

i have some problems in the identify phase. I put alongside the old ipad1 64 gb 3g with the new ipad3 64 gb 4g. Apparently both connected to the network, but while the ipad1 connects without any problems, the ipad3 does not access the internet or mail. Then I have to disable the wifi settings and then re-enable it. Only in this way the ipad 3 works. This problem occurs both at home and in the Office

Additional things to try.
Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.

Time Machine cannot back up to G-Drive slim which is connected, but does not appear in Finder.

my MacBook Air (13-inch, Mid 2013) using OS X Yosemite10.10.2 has properly connected G-drive Slim, but it does not appear in Finder;
On Screen pop up Warnings:
"Back up Failed Time Machine couldn't back up to "G-Drive Slim" " and
"Disk Not Ejected Properly Eject "G-Drive Slim" before turning it off."

Does the drive show in Disk Utility? Try a restart.

My Bluetooth connects, but does not recoginize my voice and does not read out text over the bluetooth

I connect my Bluetooth (Moto Hint Bluetooth Ear bud) or my Samsung Bluetooth. It says connected but when I receive a call and say answer it does not answer the call, nor does it read out who is calling. I have allowed both devices to access my phone book/contacts. These devices worked fine on my Samsung Galaxy S4, but don't seem to work on the Motorola Turbo. Did I forget or miss something when setting up my phone? I even erased the Cache Partition thinking maybe somehow that is the problem, but nothing. Thanks!

Ensuring your Bluetooth is working is very important jwralston. Especially if you are driving. Has this ever worked for you? If so, when did you start experiencing difficulites? What make and model Bluetooth are you using?

HT204400 Apple TV will not ask for my wifi password to connect - it says it is connected but it is not- i click on my wifi and says connected but does not ask for my password

I just hooked up my Apple TV - it is all connected correctly- when my wifi comes up on my tv screen i click and select it. It then says it is "connected" , but it is not as is it has not asked for the password for my wifi. I have turned it all off and back on, I have restarted it as well. I do know why it will not ask for my password - am I missing something?

It will not ask after it is already connected. Is ATV working? Can you connect to the iTunes store, Netflix, etc?

Problem: airport extreme connects to network, but does not communicate

I have been able to communicate via wireless networks using my airport extreme-enabled iBook G4... that is, until Thursday. (Or about Thursday... maybe it was Wednesday. Somewhere around then.)
Now I can connect to a wireless network, but I am unable to communicate across the connection. ping fails. Web sites don't load--it appears the DNS lookup fails. Curiously, if I look at the network activity in the Activity Monitor I see a bunch of little bits of data getting sent and received, generally in the range of 20-100 bytes per second, though there is no obvious need for network activity. (Maybe my computer is attempting to get DNS info and such?) When things were working previously, a quiet system meant no network activity.
Further muddying the waters, I can connect and communicate via wireless networks I had not connected to prior to Thursday. Today I went to three different wireless hotspots I had not connected to before, and was able to connect and communicate--everything worked fine at all three. But if I connect to any wireless networks I had previously connected to before Thursday, I get the problem I describe above.
I did not knowingly make any networking changes on Thursday. I did, however, run Disk Utility's "Repair file permissions" around that time, due to problems with iTunes 7. Today I ran "Repair disk" in Disk Utility but no problems were found or fixed.
My best guess is that some airport settings were corrupted for existing wireless networks on my computer sometime on Thursday, and this corrupted data is persisting. However, I have not been able to identify where that data would be.
I deleted com.apple.airport.preferences.plist and NetworkInterfaces.plist in /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration, but that didn't fix the problem. (Of course, when Mac OS recreated these files it could have been from corrupted cached data, I suppose.)
Dial-up access works fine.
One last thing, I'm getting the following error message in /private/var/log/system.log when I connect to a network:
Sep 22 20:49:41 localhost mach_init[2]: Server 2427 in bootstrap d03 uid 0: "/usr/sbin/lookupd": exited as a result of signal 1 [pid 515]
However, I get the same message when I connect via dial-up (which is working OK), so I don't think that's related.
Any ideas?

IPod Classic works and connects but does not synchronise

Hi! I have a 2007 160gb iPod Classic and I know at 8 years old you'd expect things to be falling apart, but I'm not ready for Bryan the iPod to die just yet and if I can fix him I'd very much like to
So the iPod has the standard age related issues of jumping a bit in songs and making loud whirring noises but I'm cool with that - it's characterful haha. The main issue at the moment is that the iPod won't synchronise on any software. I've tried to synchronise on several computers with both iTunes and Spotify and when I press the sync button this happens:
iTunes / Spotify does nothing
The iPod makes some noises and shows the 'Synchronising' screen for about 4 seconds
The iPod goes back to the 'connected' screen
iTunes sometimes freezes, or still does nothing
I've tried resetting the iPod, which was hard because iTunes kept freezing - but I did it! Made no difference.
The iPod is recognised by the computer/software and shows up in My Computer
It's fully charged
I'm using Windows 8 and the most recent iTunes

I am having a similar issue where I have recently updated my PC and managed to re install itunes and brought my library across however problem starts when I cannot transfer my latest music to my ipod classic.
Tried restoring it etc, it managed to transfer my latest music but delete my old ones and it wouldn't sync with my itunes library.
