PlayBook, DRM Video support

I’m trying to transfer my purchased DRM videos to my PlayBook but Windows Media Player tells me that this device doesn’t support DRM playback.  Does anyone know how to transfer these videos to playbook without converting them and loosing video quality?

Forgot to add this in original post:
I also attempted to load from BlackBerry Desktop Software, I got the same error message.

  • No video support with iPad lightning-VGA adapter (iOS 8.3)

Just subscribed to HBO NOW and bought a lightning-to-VGA adapter ($55!) to watch HBO on my computer monitor (no HDMI, only VGA) from my iPad mini. Worked fine on iOS 8.2, but then when upgraded to 8.3 I could no longer get video support. Still have iOS 8.2 on my iPod Touch, and when that device is connected to my computer monitor, I can watch HBO (and Netflix). So obviously 8.3 no longer supports video with a lightning-to-VGA adapter. Is Apple aware of this? Will there be a fix soon?

I had the same problem with an iPad Air 1 once I upgraded to ios 8.3. Following several suggestions online, I did the following:
    1. Via iTunes Store app, I logged out.
    2. Settings, General, Reset (all the way at the bottom), Reset all Settings (this doesn't remove any data/apps/etc, it just resets all the iPad settings.
    3. Did a Hard Reboot (hold down power and main button until iPad shuts off).
Once I turned it back on, now I could use the iPad via lightning adapter to watch video on a TV.

  • How can I view live videos supported with adobe flash on my IPad2?

Need help viewing live videos supported with adobe flash.

iSwifter, Photon, Skyfire, Puffin - are all browsers that MAY work for you. The iPad does not run Flash and never has. See if one of the browsers will suit your needs.

  • Can't get add ons, addons video won't run 'no video support format'

I was trying to download a coupon printer add on, but it didn't download. Trouble shooting video wouldn't play because it said 'no video support format'.

Note that an 'no video support format' error is usually caused by web pages that use the HTML5 media player to play a video and either no suitable format is available or the server isn't configured properly and doesn't send the file with a supported MIME type.

You could try to see if you can open the video in a new tab via the right-click context menu (View Video).

  • How does the new HTML5 video Support work? and what are the limitations?

So the new Edge has been relased along with many new features including HTML5 video support So along with the new feature here are a few new questions!
How does Edge load the Video? is it fully preloaded before Edge shows the content ? Or is it more of a "youtube" pregressive load while playing?
    Or can we choose?
What is the recommended video file size  example 4mb ?
How does edge deal with browsers that only support .ogg or .webm instead of mp4?
How is the support on ISO & tablets? load times, "lag" etc?

When you import an audio or video file a group is created for you. You can import media with the same name(videosample.ogv; videosample.mp4) to this group for ensuring browser compatibility. The corresponding format will be chosen depending on the browser that loads the composition.
Regarding WebM format - You can also add a webm file in your composition; However since this is a royalty format, Animate will not show a live preview inside the Authoring tool. If you browser supports this then it will definitely play fine on browser preview.
You can take a look at the In-app Video lesson which is available to you in the lesson panel for more details on how this works.
And yes you have pre-load options for HTML5 Video too, however progressive download is not available. You will need to use scripting using JS for getting this functionality.
Hope this helps and do try this out.

  • Disable Lightroom 4 video support option?

    Hi,
Is there a way to disable lightroom 4 from importing or processing any file with a video extension mkv, 3gpp etc, as its really slowing down my workflow.
My typically workflow consists of pulling my files off of my memory carsd manually via explorer (into a specific folder under a root folder which I create manually).  I then synchronise the root folder in lightroom.
Unfortunately LR4 seems to take over and hour to do this since I have a lot of uncateloged videos.  LR fails each time to catalog the videos.
LR3, since it didn't support video, was blazingly fast and performing the same operations in LR3 takes minutes as oppose to hours.
    Thanks,
    Philip

you can not disable the video import or disable video support altogether... afaik.
and unfortunately you can´t exclude them when synchronizing a folder (i have the same problem).
but you can exclude videos from import easily. at least that. no help for the synchronize problem... i know.
press the ALT key and you can select/deselect all video files in the import dialog.

  • Video Editor - No video support in Vist

Dear all,?What does this mean in "Windows Vista Driver Available Chart" ??Audigy 2 ZS Video Editor ***? 32-bit Driver Available?????????64-bit Driver Available?*** No video capture support? Is meant that only in THIS driver version the video support is not possible, or does it mean the support will NEVER be possible ?Thank You all,?Klaus?

    From another user:
I have used the follwoing procedure to install a working configuration of the Audigy 2 ZS Video Editor in a clean install of Vista Ultimate.
() Download from Creative Labs (US) site: http://us.creative.com/support/downloads/ the following files:
    (a) Creative Sound Blaster USB Series Windows Vista Driver .00.0060 - USBVS_PCDRV_LB__00_0060.exe (from the Vista section)
    (b) VidCap for Creative Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS Video Editor .00.000 - A2VX_PCVDE_L9__00_000.exe (from the WinXP section)
    (2) Use WinZip or WinRAR to open the file (b) and extract the folders \DrvInst and \Vidcap into your Vista Downloads folder.
    (3) Connect the Video Editor to the power supply and a video source; connect the USB cable to your PC. Ignore the "Found NEw Hardware" dialog that pops up.
    (4) Doubleclick on file (a) to install the Creative Sound Blaster USB Series Windows Vista Driver, and follow prompts as required; accept all defaults. After install is complete, let the PC reboot.
    (5) After rebooting, in the "Found New Hardware" dialog that appears, select the options to search for a driver, don't go online to search, browse for a driver and point the search at the \DrvInst folder you extracted in (2) above. The USB video driver will be installed from the \DrvInst\Video\Driver\Win2k.
    (6) After the video driver is installed, doubleclick on the Setup.exe file in the \Vidcap folder you extracted in (2) above to install the Vidcap application.
    (7) Setup the options in Vidcap, and run a test recording.
    Happy capturing under Vista.

  • Nokia Windows media video support

Nokia Windows media video support any program to watch.

Is this one of those puzzles that you have to arrange the words to make a sentence?
Can you give us a bit of basic detail such as what phone you have?
If you are asking what program you need to watch WMV files then the answer is none. The only phones that support this are some of the newer FP2 models like the N96 & N85. For older models there is no software that lets you watch WMV's.
If thats not what you are asking then please try to explain in more detail exactly what you want.

  • 4K video support on X1 Carbon 3443

I am wondering if anyone knows how I can get 4k video support on an X1 Carbon (3443)I have tried connecting my X1 to a Dell D3100 which supports 4K but no joy.  I chose the Dell dock since it can support up to 3 monitorsover USB 3.0.  The dock is recognized but I can only see 2048x1152.  I am wondering if this is a driver limitation as I do not think it is a hardware limitation.

    Hi Ubern,
    Welcome to Lenovo Community!
As you are facing the issue is with LCD and also mentioned that you can see the desktop background very faintly.
In this case the issue can be with LCD panel or with LCD cable. So my suggestion is that to visit the nearby authorized Lenovo service center to get it checked thoroughly, before ordering any parts.
Below is the link to find the service center.
Click here to open a link where you can select the country and get the exact contact support number. I’m sure they will be a great help.
    Hope this helps!

  • Advanced Video Support

Hello all, I have a nokia E71 and a nokia E72.. my nokia e71 firmware version is 501.21.001.. I want to know if Nokie E71 supports advanced video support like embbeded video support on forums or other websites such as internet chat room / video chat rooms?
Though I tried but it gives Loading message but does not load fully.
Any help will be helpfull !

    Brian,
The short answer is YES. The longer answer is, it depends. Many mfgrs. use AVCHD pretty liberally, and freely make changes to the format. Most work well, but some do not. Mostly, one will encounter issues with the FPS and Interlaced or Progressive.
Which camera do you have, and what are the full specs. of the AVCHD files produced. Those answers will tell the tale.
    Good luck,
    Hunt
PS - for AVCHD, one needs tons of CPU horsepower - no way around that. If you do not have fast Quad-core, or better, a fast i7, forget it.

  • Video support on a live CD

Most live CDs don't have proprietary drivers installed to work on as many machines as possible.
    Normally for Arch you install
in the following order:pacman -S libgl (you don't need it if you have a nvidia card) > pacman -S xorg > pacman -S mesa > pacman -S your_video_card
so my question is by simply skipping the last step,
will you be able to get video support working everywhere?
(I haven't tried to not do that last step yet to
see if it'll work but just want to be sure)
Last edited by willxtreme (2010-01-23 13:03:51)

I am making a live CD
and by doing pacman -S libgl > pacman -S xorg > pacman -S mesa
    the video works fine hurray
Now I'm wondering if I should leave it like that or install xf86-video-vesa
    What would perform better
