Playbook Mini Keyboard

I live in the UK and for over a year now I have been trying to buy a mini keyboard for my Playbook. Despite requesting this from Blackberry.co.uk website, I still have not had a response from them. Are they available here in the UK and if so, where would I be able to buy one from?

Playbook Mini Keyboard won't charge

I bought the official Blackberry Playbook mini keyboard a few months ago. It worked once. Failed second time ( I assumed I hadn't charged it enough). Tried again recently, and it definitely isn't charging. No lights; no syncing; no pairing; no nothing. I've tried different chargers and different outlets, and the darned thing is dead. And, I am very certain it is not due to any product abuse, etc. It has just died. I either have a defective product, or is there some trick or reset button or some trick I need to know to charge this device? Or, have I just thrown away $120 on a piece of junk?

Hello, firstly it definitely isn't a piece of junk!
i dont think there is a reset button or anything on the mini keyboard.
I recommend you get it checked out at a local store

Mini keyboard keeps disconnecting

So I waited until the BB mini keyboard was released to buy a keyboard based on what i read on other keyboards having connectivity issues. I just got my BB mini keyboard and for the first couple days I have had constant issue with it intermittently disconnecting.
Other than the lack of custome options such as scrolling speeds and cursor rates, the functionality and feel of the keyboard is great.
Anyone else having this issue with the new mini keyboard?

As stated I hope it is the keyboard, i cant get a new one right now as the stores are all sold out but plan to asap. But what exactly makes you think there is something special about how the keyboard works with the playbook that I may not understand. Not exactly rocket science. When a keyboard stop working mid paragraph, pretty sure there is a problem. Thanks for your input.

How to use the phone's Mini-Keyboard Input with the 'Textbox'(MIDP2.0)?

Hi. I'm trying to create a textbox(in my own little application) that is compatible with the mini-keyboard input feature.
This problem involved any device that have a built-in "mini-keyboard".
Problem:
I tried the 'Textbox' class from MIDP2.0 but the result, as expected, is like using the phones with no built-in keyboard.
(Forexample if I want to input the character 'C' inthe text box, I need to press number '2' button three times to let it circle through 'A' -> 'B' then 'C'. )
Then I tried entering URLs in the phone's built-in web browser, the result is I can use the mini keyboard to type like a PC keyboard.
Question: How do I implement such textbox that is fully compatible with the built-in mini Keyboard?
I tried browsing through the MIDP2.0 API but it seems the 'Textbox' class there couldn't do it.

The textbox should have input just as any other normal phone input. If not, something strange is going on.
Anyway , there is no use to make your own input method, since every phone has another implementation of this anyway. It would only confuse users.

Why does the iPad mini keyboard do erroneous self-correcting keystrokes?

My iPad Mini keyboard replaces regularly two keystrokes. It changes the lower case with upper case on the two punctuation keys (the ", and !" and " and ?" Keys). I have to correct the inappropriate changes this does to text in emails and other apps as well. For example, when I introduce a comma "," in a sentence to introduce a clause or series of words, it will change the comma into an exclamation point. Similarly, when I use three dots to indicate text deleted or ignored, the dots will be changed to three question marks.
This happens when typing in Apple apps and non-Apple apps. It seems a hardware issue. I never had this with my very first iPad or any of my iPhones. If no one else has reported this going on with their iPad Mini (mine was bought last December so the original model), perhaps it is a defect unique to my iPad Mini.
I have to read over everything typed. In general there is so much "Apple-determined correction" going on with the Apple keyboard. This is the most obvious and erroneous.

now reconnect to wifi
settings- wifi- click network name- enter password - join
if issue persists back up and restore as new via iTunes

Micro DataPad Mini Keyboard for Palm m105 Series

I have the Micro DataPad Mini Keyboard and I need to install drivers. I can't seem to find anything on the palm website. Can anyone help me please? I know the palm is outdated but I can't afford a new one right now and I need it to help me keep my son's doctor appointments organized.

Hi, and welcome to the Palm Community Forums.
That is not a Palm product, so you wouldn't find the drivers here, even if it was not an older device.
Your best bet is to either try to find a disc from a third-party seller (using Google perhaps), or inquire with the developer whom I believe is Micro Innovations.

Thank you for reaching out to us. I am glad to see that you are exploring options to expand your device. The LG Lucid 2 is a Bluetooth capable device. If the mini keyboard is android capable then you should have not troubles with connecting it. Most keyboards have listed the compatible functionalities on them. Can wireless mini keyboard work with windows 8

Purchased wireless mini keyboard and couldnotgetit to work. Noticed after that it did not specify compatible beyond Win 7. Is there a patch or fix to work with windows 8?

Need to add this is for a Elite Pad Win 8 / 32-bit OS.

Try reset iPad
Hold the Sleep/Wake and Home button down together until you see the Apple Logo.
Note: Data will not be affected.

The new mini keyboard + volume key or F12

I just got rid of the clunky black keyboard that came with the computer for the new mini keyboard that Apple offers. On the old keyboard the F12 functioned as the volume which it is set up for. Since attaching the mini keyboard the F12 functions as the Dashboard which it is NOT set up for. Is there no way to change this? All settings are same as original keyboard.

Go to Sys Prefs/Keyboard/Keyboard Shortcuts/Dashboard & Dock. Is the Dashboard box ticked?
Yours could be different because I have no Leopard kit to check.

Mini Keyboard and dictionary

Why does the dictionary disappear when connecting the mini keyboard? It is useful to access accents in french and to abbreviate typing.

That is the way it was build. I don't think you can change that.

I tried to reboot and worked for a while. but, if simple hybernate the ipad, once I enter again the keyboard doesnt work...so obliged to reboot and reboot every time i leave the ipad alone for few minutes.

If you are trying to create a catagory inside a collection, you cannot. Categories are a property (metadata) of the individual titles. You can't create them. You can create collection, but they cannot be nested.

Is my mac mini keyboard faulty?

I have a late 2006 mac mini. When it comes to rebooting my mac mini and holding down the C button on my wired keyboard or if I am wanting to do a hardware test. It works without any problem. It recognises the key i have pressed while re-starting. However whenever I use my alluminum wired keyboard it always takes me to the desktop log in page. it is as if it never recognises the button i am pressing on my new keyboard. is this normal? or if this a fault with the keyboard. I spoke to apple telephone support who said it might be a hardware issue and for me to take it to the genius bar for them to have a look at this and possibly replace my keyboard?

The Apple Aluminum wired keyboard (with the numeric keypad) has been reported many times in this forum not to have working startup modifier keys with the Mini.
There have been a few reports of the startup modifier keys working OK, but the overwhelming majority of reports in this forum say that the startup modifier keys don't work. Aside from the startup keys, the Alu Keyboard works fine with the Mini.
A partial work-around for selecting a startup disc/disk is to hold down the menu button on the Apple Remote at startup. This works the same as holding down the Option/Alt key at startup.

N97 mini Keyboard Problems

When I'm using the slide keyboard, randomly the letter "r" when pressed, opens the camera. Letters "F" , "U" and "I" dont work........If the camera is opened If i press "f" and then "r" it takes a picture. A can solve this by turning OFF the phone and taking out the battery and the reinstalling and turning ON. But is really annoying to do this every 5 minutes. Does anyone know how to solve this problem definitely?? I've tried hard reset and won't work.

Does anybody know, when it is a newer software for N97 Mini ? I have discover some problems with the phone, and some functions I really misses from my old N95 8 Gb..
When you receive a MMS, you can not choose to answer the MMS with an SMS, you must quit, then make an SMS to the person you received the MMS from, that`s a good step bacwords..
There ar altso a lot of functions in the camera part, thats gone, you can`t adjust a picture to 5x7" anymore, only manuel cutting of the pictures or set as background.
I really misses my N95 8 GB, it had it all and it was able to use on the Internet to..
After all these years with SE, i suddenly got a N95 8Gb. And now I begin to like it!!
