Playbook Paypal Error: 0

I'm getting this error when I try to buy apps on AppWorld using PayPal:
Problem encountered with PayPal authorization. (Error:0)
How can I fix this? I can buy using credit card but I would rather keep using Paypal. My PayPal account is working fine, even when I select PayPal again from the "Payment Options" menu on AppWorld, it validates my credentials correctly.

Playbook Downgrade Error on Mac

Hi,
When following the instructions to downgrade my Playbook from OS 2 to 1.0.7 on my Mac, I get the following error when clicking on "Repair":
"BlackBerry Desktop Manager failed to extract the software image...You need at least 600mb of free space"
I have 200+GB of free space on my hard drive.
The first time I tried, it was working and I got disconnected. Since then, I have been getting this error. Did DM maybe download a partial file that it now tries to open up each time, as opposed to re-downloading the file needed to downgrade? I tried looking for where this file could be stored, but no luck. Any thoughts?

First I would like you to do a Back Up of your PlayBook using your computer and BlackBerry Desktop Software.
This can be downloaded for free from http://us.blackberry.com/apps-software/desktop/
After the Back Up is complete I need you to unplug your PlayBook and then push and hold down the Power Button until the unit Force Powers Off.
Now, while Desktop Software is still open on your computer and the PlayBook Powered Off, Connect the PlayBook to your computer.
You should see and error screen from Desktop Software pop up that has the options to Retry, Update, or Cancel.
QUICKLY choose the Update option.
This will erase all the information off of your PlayBook and Re-Write the Software back onto it. Once it's complete your PlayBook will need to go back through the setup wizard, and you can then perform a restore using Desktop Software to return your information. The only thing that won't come back after the restore are the apps that you downloaded from App World but they can be easily Re-Installed using the My World feature in App World.

Blackberry playbook, install error: 0003-0005

Hi,
I just bought a new blackberry playbook, i was so excited and it was all goog until I faced a problem. Because of which I am so frustated as I can not download any games or apps from apps world. It just shows me the following massage: Install error: [0003-0005].
Please help me as i am finding my playbook useless becasue of this problem. and if I can not solve this I might think of returning this device back.

I had the same issue.
I was able to fixed it five mins ago
Solution as follow>
1. Go to settings – date & time. Then turn off "set date & time automatically" then advance the date forward a month or so.
2. Go to settings – BlackBerry ID. It will refresh your info and hopefully fix the problem.
3. Set the date again and see if App World will work now.

Paypal error while purchasing on itunes

I've recently got a paypal account, and I refilled it by using a moneypak card. I went to update my payment info on itunes with paypal and when it popped up my account on internet explorer and I logged in, I got this message in error "This recipent requires that you have a valid funding source from United States in order to complete this transaction." I'm new to paypal and I barely know anything about this...I redeemed the card in the US though? Any help would be appreciated.

Unable to identify user.
This is a generic error indicating that information in the PayPal account has changed or does not match information associated with the BlackBerry smartphone user's BlackBerry World account. There can be multiple causes for this error.
Regarding Paypal , Yes you can use PayPal for payment in India , Or a Credit Card .
I'm not sure but I think you need to check your PayPal Credentials, Be sure everything is entered Correctly.Can you re-check them again .

Playbook Camera Error

Hi !
I have blackberry playbook 32 GB and it was working fine, and now i have facing this problem of camera. Camera is not working and giving 4003 error.
i contact to one of carphonewhare house store because in UK i brought it from them, but they said they can send it for repair and it gona cost me 40 pounds. I have Tried every single thing, and software update as well but the problem is still there. I have researched online and i found out that this is a software/hardware fault which blackberry accepts itself. Please guide me in this regards what help i can get, because carphonewhare house told me to contact blackberry directly.

PLAYBOOK CAMERA ERROR 4003

After UPDATE 2.1.0.1314 MY BLACKBERRY PLAYBOOK camera doesn't work anymore. Screen gets black and I am getting error 4003. Can't resolve problem alone. Anybody knows what's happened and what I need to do next to activate my camera again? Please, help. Very disappointed

Get in touch with Playbook support. You may have to re-install the OS.

Playbook camera error 4003 error message

My playbook camera has stopped working and gives the error message 4003. I have the latest software updates and have tried a security wipe with no luck.
I can not find any working links to BlackBerry Playbook support. II have no warranty and do not know how to go about getting this fixed. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Error 4003 is a hardware problem, you can read more of this issue in this thread.
If you are on Koodo, contact your PlayBook support number and initiate an RMA. If they say your device is past warranty, ask for the problem to be fixed, they've fixed it for many and it is a known issue. BlackBerry has been good to replace these devices.

Paypal error message #AW589009c. Can't purchase an app

I can not purchase an app on the BlackBerry app store.
While purchasing an app on the app store following error message will be shown:

We are fellow users here on these forums, if you are getting a message to contact iTunes Support then only they can potentially fix it. You've tried logging out and back into your account on your since they said that it should be fixed ?

ITunes & Paypal error, I have never used paypal

When I recently used my phone to try and purchase an application update from iTunes, I received an error about paypal billing is not supported, please log into iTunes through a computer and update your billing information. I have never used Paypal, and when I log into a computer, my billing is to my credit card as it has been. Any idea how to fix this, and am I the only one that has experience this problem?

You will need to restore your device as New to remove a Restrictions passcode. Go through the normal process to restore your device, but when you see the options to restore as New or from a backup, be sure to choose New.
You can restore from a backup if you have one from BEFORE you set the restrictions passcode.

Can't buy in app world - paypal errors anyone?

hmm.. can't buy on appworld with my paypal account.. I thought it would all carrry over with my blackberry ID. I never had any problems on my 9900 and other phones?

Here is the fix from a computer.
Go to appworld.blackberry.com/webstore and sign in. Under the Developers heading it says Welcome and beside that is your BlackBerry Screen Name.
Select Payment Options below the BlackBerry Screen Name.
If PayPal is already selected, click Modify to the right. If not, select PayPal from the Change Payment Option To: listing and click Next.
Click Pay with PayPal.
On the PayPal preapproval page, login with the PayPal account to use for the payment source.
Select Approve to agree to the PayPal preapproval agreement (Note: This is required. A charge will not be applied to the PayPal account. This is to set a maximum payment limit for account protection.)
A confirmation page will be displayed.
Once returned to the Change Payment Method page, select an available option along the top to modify additional BlackBerry ID information, or click on the link to browse the BlackBerry World catalog. (Note: Clicking Next will proceed to change the payment options).

But once you configure the settings from a computer then you can go to your phone and select Settings>Payment Options and your Payment Accounts will include PayPal.
