PlayBook Turn on but won't charge

Here is The situation:
I bought my playbook on Jan.2012, but couples month ago I lost my charger, but it was OK because I have an extra Blackberry Charger (bb 8900). It was working great since like a month or so it won't charge anymore.
When I connect it to The charger I get red led for about 15 sec , red battery with bolt, and then pulsating yellow led.
I tried stack charge: no result
(cycles of 2mins/2mins, 2min/10sec, 15secs/2secs)
tried to update playbook: download and install but wont reconnect to tablet
I purchased a Blackberry rapid charging stand for playbook (in case USB port may be damaged): here.. The playbook turn on after several minutes at set-up screen. I followed all steps but then it says battery too low to update and stay at 0%. I left it on this screen for 50+ hours and wont change When I take it from base it shut down instantly.
PS:
1-Calling support is NOT an option, I live in Dominican Republic.
2-No blackberry support office/store over here.
Sorry my bad English

Keep.charging. After 4-5 hours while connected to the charger, press and hold the power button for 20 seconds to see if you notice any life in the upper right LED indicator.

  • Macbook turns on but won't charge.

Ok, so here's my quick story. Iced tea was spilled on part of my macbook about 2 weeks ago. It turned off and wouldn't turn back on. Later that day it turned on for about 30 mins and then turned back off. No noises were made, it turned off quietly. Macbook would not turn on for over a week, battery still showed power. Mac turns back on today, appears to be working normally. My personal charger will not charge the mac, my friends charger also does not work. The light doesn't come on the charger and nothing happens. What is wrong with my mac?
It also will not power my macbook, it doesn't recognize that its plugged in.

    Welcome to the forums.
Anytime liquid is spilled on anything electronic. It should be turned off and the battery removed. Never turn it on until you give it a chance to dry out.
It sounds like your MacBooks circuitry has shorted out in the charger section and possibly other areas. It is hard to say without testing on the bench. You will need to have it serviced by Apple or another repair service. Do a search on the web and you will find some that does work cheaper than Apple and will give a quote before repairs are done.

  • So I have a MacBook Pro 2013. That won't turn on and won't charge.

So I have a MacBook Pro 2013. That won't turn on and won't charge. When the charger is plugged in the light remains green as if it is fully charge. Before it died the laptop still recognized the charger but wouldn't charge. And now won't turn on.

If you've a 2013 model, depending on when you purchased the machine, I would suppose that you're still under warranty or at least purchased AppleCare? Regardless, I would take the kit to your local Apple Store or an AASP and have them diagnose the computer (and, if you're still under warranty, fix the computer) and, if necessary, give you an estimate for repair.
There are all sorts of things that could be wrong - a faulty adapter, bad cabling, even the entire electrical circuitry may have gone bad.
You won't know unless you had an Apple tech look it over.
    Good luck,

  • My 4S phone is turning off but is fully charged

My iphone is turning off but is fully charged.  If I recharge, would turn back on. Now it is just giving me "no service" and can only call out emergency

    Sounds like a hardware problem.
Make an appointment at an Apple store if there is one nearby.

  • My ipad(2) is plugged into my pc but won't charge-any ideas?

    my ipad2 is plugged in but won't charge-any ideas--only 2 weeks old

Your PCs USB port is probably not capable of providing enough power to charge your iPad. It might be charging at a very slow rate and when your iPad is in sleep mode. Use the adapter provided with your iPad.

  • My ipad is flat and when I plug it in to charge it just repeatedly turns on and then turns off but isn't charging. I tried to plug into itunes but it just goes through the same ritual and can't maintain connection to itunes. What should I do ?

    1. Reset iPad
    2. Try another wall socket
    3. Try another cable (make sure it's an original Apple cable)
    4. Try another charger (make sure it's an original Apple charger)
    5. Clean Lightning port with compress air or new paint brush

    Hi Eslam El-Gammal,
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
I understand that after resetting your iPhone, you are being prompted for Apple ID information that is not yours. This can happen if an iPhone is restored without turning off the Find My Phone feature. For more information on this, please refer to the attached article.

  • My ipod touch 4g is connected to the charger and it turns on but it wont charge

So my ipod was low on battery and i wanted to charge it so i leave for 1 hour and i go and turn it on and it shows the "connect to power" screen and i disconnected the charger and reconnected it and it turned on but it didnt charge Please help!

    Reference: http://support.apple.com/kb/ts2771
Battery does not appear to charge
Important: iPod touch cannot be charged with a FireWire-based power source.
Verify that the power source being used is working properly.
If connecting to a computer's USB port, verify it is a high-powered USB 2.0 port. Note: The USB ports on most keyboards don't provide enough power, so if you're connecting iPod touch to a keyboard, make sure it has a high-powered USB 2.0 port.
Verify the computer is turned on and not in sleep or standby mode. If iPod touch is connected to a computer that's not turned on or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPod touch battery may drain.
    Try another USB port.
Try charging from a USB charger if available.
If that does not help, try another USB cable if available.
Learn more about charging the battery.
My issue is still not resolved. What do I do next?

  • TS1367 My charger connects with my macbook with a very faint green light (not the normal orange light) and can maintain the computer turned on but does not charge the battery.

My charger connects with my computer with a very faint green light (not the normal orange light) and can maintain the computer turned on but does not charge the battery. The power source to keep it on is the power adapter and that it's "Not charging" on the battery settings. And my charger seems to charge other computers fine.
The part of my mac where the adapter (L-shaped, magnetic) attaches is a bit damaged - a small piece of the white case/body around the part where the adapter attaches is broken off, but that's just an outer damage.
I don't know what's wrong with my computer, and if anyone has had a similar experience or knows what's going on, it'd be tremendously helpful!
    Thank you!!

    Hi Christopher,
Doubtful an upgrade would fix a hardware issue. If you are thinking of upgarding to Lion, best to do all necessary maintenance first.

  • IPod will update on iTunes but won't charge or turn on properly

    Hi,
I've just downloaded iTunes 7 and now my ipod won't charge or fully turn on. When i plug it into the computer it updates normally but as soon as I try to turn it on while it's not connected or charge it in a powerpoint it displays the folder icon with a warning sign on it and shows the ipod support website on the screen. I've tried updating the latest mini software, restoring factory settings, and re-formatting but it won't work. When I restore it it says to complete the progress I need to plug it into a powerpoint but when I do this I get the same folder with warning sign icon. Please help!!
    Thanks

It died recently and when I tried to charge it again there was no light that showed. I thought it was the charger so I bought a new one but that changed nothing. It's useless as of now: won't charge and won't turn on.  PLEASE help

  • Light green but won't charge

May be coincidental but after doing a repair permissions my battery will not charge and the light on the cord stays green. This is a brand new replacement battery from Apple that has been working fine for the week I have had it. I have just upgraded to Leopard with the remaining power I had but the problem occurred before the upgrade

    Hey John,
Don't exactly know what iBook we're talking about here. This is from the 14" G4 1.2 GHz:
    "The battery won't charge
    1. Remove any connected peripherals.
    2. Try known-good power outlet.
    3. Try known-good power adapter and power cord.
    Note:
Verify that power adapter connector glows amber or green. If the power
adapter light is green, turn over the computer and press the battery button. The
battery lights should glow green and stay on if the power adapter is operating
    correctly.
    4. Try known-good battery.
    5. Reset the power manager by pressing the key combination Control-Option-Shiftpower.
Warning: Make sure you do not hold down the "fn" key when resetting the
    power manager.
Warning: Resetting the power manager means you will also need to reset the
date and time (using the Date & Time control panel).
    6. Replace battery transfer board.
    7. Replace logic board."
I didn't realize there was a battery transfer board but there is. Email me for more info. I also thought the DC in board was involved in power switching.

  • IPhone 5 connected but won't charge

So i have a iPhone 5 that connects when I plug in the lighting cable but it won't charge sometimes. I already cleaned out the port on the phone with a dry toothbrush, please help. I've tried a lot of things and if there isn't a solution i'll just buy another battery.

  • MacBook  turns on but won't boot up

Macbook will turn on, the apple symbol shows on desktop, wheel turns but won't fiish the start up to a full desktop.  Any ideas!

Put your install DVD into the optical drive (CD/DVD drive) and reboot. Be sure to either use the disc that came with your Mac, or, if you installed a later Mac OS X version from disc, use the newer disc. As soon as you hear the boot chime, hold down the "c" key on your keyboard (or the Option Key until the Install Disk shows up) until the apple shows up. That will force your MacBook to boot from the install DVD in the optical drive.
When it does start up, you'll see a panel asking you to choose your language. Choose your language and press the Return key on your keyboard once. It will then present you with an Installation window. Completely ignore this window and click on Utilities in the top menu and scroll down to Disk Utility and click it. When it comes up is your Hard Drive in the list on the left?
If it is, then click on the Mac OS partition of your hard drive in the left hand list. Then select the First Aid Tab and run Repair Disk. The Repair Disk button won't be available until you've clicked on the Mac OS partition on your hard drive. If that repairs any problems run it again until the green OK appears and then run Repair Permissions. After repairing use Startup Disk from the same menu to choose your hard drive for restarting from your hard drive.
If your hard drive isn’t recognized in Disk Utility then your hard drive is probably dead.

  • N70 won't turn on and won't charge

My N70 was turned off the other day and now it won't turn on. Ive exchanged the batterry with another phone and tried different chargers, all with no results.
I live in Canada and Nokia Canada has told me since the phone is not available in Canada they will not fix it even though it is still under warranty. I'm flabbergasted, especially since I spent so much money on the phone in December.
    Any suggestions?

    Hello,
I am having the same problem now...Yesterday I was using the phone just fine and then the battery indicator came-on and the phone died. I went to charge the phone and it won't charge. What happens while I have the phone plugged into the charger is that the phone would flash (all the keypad light and screen light with NOKIA written in blue) on and off twice every 40 seconds (approx.). And when I replace the phone with another battery the phone seems like it will turn on just fine, however after 40 seconds the phone turns on and off twice then shuts off.
I bought the phone a year ago from Jordan and Canada's Nokia store won’t fix it.
Please help. Any advice would be appreciated, thanks.
