I'm getting a 4003 camera error since installing the latest update. I'm reading it's a common problem. What's the fix?

You're right there is no fix for the issue. Please check the below KB article and forums post for knowing more on the issue -
KB30341 "Camera Error: The camera is in use. Close any other instances of the camera and try again" is displayed when attempting to use the camera after upgrading to Tablet OS 2.0

Hello!
I am having internal camera failure after software updates...first skype couldn't find the camera, and now photo booth also says camera is not connected. Its a brand new MacBook Pro which has been working fine for a month, but after a software update (the blinking message said i had 13 new things to update...you know what I'm talking about right?) all of a sudden Skype couldnt find a camera, so i went to the skype community and tried some things (like trashing skype) but now photo booth says no camera detected, which is weird cause the camera is built into the computer..

I attempted several times to update Camera Raw Ver 6.7 to my PS 5 and PS 6 but failure notice was prompt even after 100% complete message was shown. Can you tell me the reason?

My blackberry playbook both cameras are not working and showing error 4003 and also having some charging problem. The reason of these problems only OS update. I i have walked to Blackberry service center today 11th Jan but they have told me my product is out of date by 2 days only it means warrenty was active till 9 January 2013. Now, Please give me suggestion what i have to do.

since some days (after connecting my mobile to the ovi pc suit) both cameras of my N79 do not work anymore. I still can start the camera menue with out problem but there is no picture and the background is dark. This problem concerns both cameras (front and back). Opening the menue there sometimes apears a message the says "camera failur - please switch off the mobile". I tryed a lot of things: Firmware update - actualy its 11.049.217.5; softreset, hardreset; the camera ist still dark; What else can I do?
try reinstalling latest firmware.

Cannot update Camera Raw from 6.7 to 7.1
When I try to update Camera Raw from 6.7 to 7.1, from the 7.1 setup file I downloaded, I get the error:
"Update failed
Updates could not be applied
This patch is not applicable for you. Please check for updates from the help menu in your product to see a list of latest updates available."
If I go to help in Photoshop CS5 and click on updates, it says that all of my programs are up to date, but Camera Raw is still 6.7. It absolutely refuses to update to 7.1
I just traded in my Nikon D3100 for a Nikon D3200 and 6.7 does not support it, but 7.1 does, so I REALLY need it to upgrade because I like to shoot in RAW.
Please help????The Adobe policy is to provide free updates for currently shipping products. The current version of Photoshop is CS6, the current Camera Raw is 7.1.
Providing backwards compatibility of older software with newer versions of Camera Raw is a major technical problem. Camera Raw is a plug-in with dependancies on the host version of Photoshop's SDK. Camera Raw 7.x is designed to use the CS6 SDK. Photoshop CS6 has different platform requirements than Photoshop CS5 had. So, trying to force fit Camera Raw 7.x to work in Photoshop CS5 would require a code branch of the Camera Raw code that would substantially complicate future development–meaning it would put a major dent in the development resources that Adobe could apply to future updates–a bad thing for current customers. Personally, as a CS6 user, I would not like that at all.
Adobe provides backwards compatibility for new cameras in old versions of Photoshop for free. Yes, it's an additional step but one that only costs a bit of time on your part. The free DNG Converter is capable of producing DNGs that are compatible back to Camera Raw 2.4 in Photoshop CS...and again, this is free and something that Adobe didn't HAVE to do...
You want new cameras to be supported in older software–fact is these new cameras produce new raw file formats that are proprietary and undocumented–it takes a lot of work o decode new formats. This problem is a direct result of the failure of the camera companies to adopt a raw file format standard that would eliminate the need for new camera format decoding...you are perfectly happy buying a new camera that creates a new, un-compatible raw format and blame only Adobe for failing to upgrade old software? Your expectations are unrealistic and you are trying to place blame on the wrong party, it's the camera company's who are at fault for not adhering to some sort of standard that would free users of the problems they face now. Blame the company that sold you the camera that is not compatible with your software...it ain't Adobe's fault. -

With the updates came iTunes 11.1.1 and Quicktime 7.6.6. I am still using Garageband 2008 and iPhoto 2008. When I create music in Garageband I usually adjust the volume and save it. Even now when I share the Garageband created files with iTunes 11.1.1, the volime I previously set in Garageband is retained. However, when I use the music to create a slide show in iPhoto 2008 and export to Quicktime 7.6.6, the volume level I previously set is lost and seems to default to a low level. The problem seems to be either in the slide show export from iPhoto 2008 to Quicktime 7.6.6 or in Quicktime itself. Is there a work around, so that I can retain the volume level I had previously set in Garageband, a volume level that seems to transfer without problem to the new iTunes. But then iPhoto 2008 (slide show) possibly or Quicktime 7.6.6 do not cooperate. My iphone 4s is no longer detecting wifi since the IOS8 updates came out. I've restarted, rest the networks, reset the phone back to factory settings, and even tried the freezer trick. It is STILL not detecting ANY wifi networks. HELP!!! I cannot afford to go over my data and I use wifi at home and work... I believe the updates have caused the issue, because it was working fine before the second update released (I hadn't put the first one one until I noticed it had stopped working, and by then the second IOS8 version had came out). They need to do a third update to fix this issue.
If it's grayed out:
Reset Network Settings - if that doesn't fix it, then Backup and Restore AS A NEW DEVICE.
If it's still grayed out, unfortunately that means your Wi-Fi antenna quit, and it needs service. -
I'm using the latest photoshop cc 2014 with most updated camera raw... i am having A LOT/REPEATED trouble getting files to "synch" with corrections, no matter what i options i select (i.e. "everything")... WTH is wrong with me/my computer/adobe?! help. fast. please

generic instructions
Windows
1. Right click on the downloaded Camera_Raw_5_7_updater.zip
Click on Extract All
2. In the Extract All dialog check Show extracted files when complete, then click on Extract
3. When the next window opens showing the extracted files, right click on the Setup.exe and click on Run as Administrator.
In the User Account Control dialog click Yes
Just follow the directions in the install dialog when it opens
Mac
1. Double click on the downloaded Camera_Raw_5_updater.dmg to mount the dmg image
2. When the next window opens, double click on the Setup.app
In the next window enter your password
Just follow the instructions in the install dialog that appears

Can't open raw files from Nikon d800 in PS CS5 and can't update Camera Raw plug-ins
Can't open raw files from Nikon d800 in PS CS5 (Win7 64-bit). It says, the model not supported by Camera Raw. Tried updating Camera Raw plug-ins for d800 but keep getting error message: Update failed, Adobe Application Manager may be damaged. Re-install the latest application manager but still the same error message. How to fix?

You need to buy PSE13. But you can continue with PSE9 if you download and install the free DNG converter to convert your CR2 files to the Adobe universal Raw format and the DNG files will work with yoir existing software(keep your originals as backups and for use in the camera manufactures software)

I have moved my Photoshop CS5 to my traveling computer,a Surface Pro 3. I have photoshop loaded but in trying to look at raw images it says my camera raw does not support the sony alpha 65 which is what I have. I went out and tried to download the newest raw version and even went out and did a zipfile download and it will not update my current version. What should I do
I have 6.0. Tried to download newest verion and it will not download. Went out and then downloaded a zipfile and it still will not download, thus cannot look at my raw pictures.

Just updated camera raw to 6.6 in photoshop 5 won't open raw files
Just updated camera raw in photoshop 5 to 6.6 on a mac pro running 10.6.8 os wont open a raw file and program freezes and must force quit to close. Lightroom update has problems as well. Don't recommend updating to either

Raw files in CR2 format from my Canon EOS 5D MarkII
Applied the Camera Raw 6.6 update last night. There were no problems noted during the update. Did not realize until later that the files would not open any more - I was working with PSD files created several days before. I forwarded several crash reports to Apple after I force closed Photoshop several times. When I opened one of the three files Photoshop would not exactly freeze but the whole system became slow - the force-close menu took a while to display after I right-clicked the icon in the dock. If I dragged and dropped one of the three into the dock icon, Photoshop would open with usual audible disk sounds but the sounds stopped quickly and the program was frozen.
I recovered using suggestions from the forum, used Time Machine to return Photoshop, Bridge and the Adobe folder in the path /Library/Application Support/Adobe/ to the state before the update. The Camera Raw Plug-in is now at 6.5 and I can open RAW files again.
