Player locks up during final second of each s

I had to return two Vision:M players because on several (not all) of my downloaded, purchased and fully licensed songs it would lock up during the final second or two. I had to reset the player and a REBUILDING LIBRARY mode begun shortly afterwards. It appeard to do this to the same songs unfortunately so something about the song file seemed to dri've the player into havoc mode. My music is virus-free and works perfectly on other players as well as my several computers. It is only on the Vision:M that I cannot play my purchased music. I have a Dell DJ that works great and never caused this problem. That is NOT running PFS firmware however and the ZVM does!? Since the music should be indefferent to player firmware, does anyone have any idea what could be causing this? Too stressed to even try for a third one now!

Has anyone had problems with their Zen Vision:M locking up during the final seconds of many songs? It doesn't happen to all of them, but?it seems the same songs that lock up only do so on the ZenVision:M. They work great with other players and my PC as well. I had two Zen Vision:M's and have a feeling a third will do the same. Any ideas what could be causing this? Note, my music is all downloaded from Musicmatch in most cases and licensed.

Ok...For those who may have caught my two postings yesterday, I decided to retract them due to too many theories and insufficient FACT. What I DO know however is GIVE UP! It is clear the Vision M: does not always work smoothly with MusicMatch downloads. Accept it! I reject the notion that both the Vision M and MM are "certified PLAYS FOR SURE" because too much proof by this posting alone confirms this is simply not ALWAYS true, despite some who may have no problems. Although since only a few have added to this posting, I will conclude that either the vast majority luckily )have no problems; 2)don't have MusicMatch downloads, 3)decided to go around it by converting music format (which can be a good legal argument), 4)have another Zen product, but certainly not the Vision:M. or 5) simply never added to this posting.
There are too few out there who share this problem and since this posting was first put out there many months ago, I also have to conclude this is a unique problem not worth Creative or Yahoo spending time to resolve. Having said this, I would personally recommend going elsewhere for downloads and see if it happens there. Isolate the issue to either the Zen Vision:M or MusicMatch. If you know it's MM, then you have to make a choice whether to continue buying from there. If it's the Zen, then you should opt for avoiding WMA files with DRM code and opt for the conventional MP3 format which has proven to work every time.
Sorry, but this posting unlike most should indicate there will NEVER be a solution to this problem as Creative nor Yahoo do not feel it is an issue. By the lack of viewer support, I wonder if it even IS an issue. This is the part that really baffles me. It may be time to evaluate future download sources as well as future equipment purchases knowing this situation is out there and not going anywhere.
For me, I love the Vision:M and MusicMatch despite this problem and have already decided what I plan on doing when a song is incompatible with the player. Now you have to make the choice.

Music player locks mobile for a few seconds (Lumia...

Hello,
I bought a Lumia 920 one month ago.
Since first day I'm having problems with music player. When I click to play a song it takes several seconds to update screen, moreover hardware buttons doesn't do anything. After a few seconds mobile starts to work again, and everything seems well.
It happens with any application that play music (microsoft, nokia and mine), and with any music file. Same files where working perfectly on a Lumia 800.
I did a small search if somebody had similar problems, but I didn't find anybody (¿?).
Any idea?

As I said, it happens with all application that play music: nokia music, windows player, and one application that I developing. I click to play a song, music starts to sound, but mobile gets lock for a few seconds (around 30 seconds!). I tried to click back button, power button, ... doesn't matter mobile is complete lock, after this time, mobile starts to process all clicks (back, power button, ...)

You should check the configuration in Open Item Management for "Specifications for Invoicing".
Make sure the Clearing Variant that is used doesn't have any explicit Clearing sequence for Main/Sub 0020/0010.
If theres no such explicit configuration, make an ABAP change in the FI-CA Event ISU_EVENT_R401 to explicitly exclude the held Security Deposit . Heres the documentation for this event:

ITunes is locking up during sync of iphone and ipad during backup

When I try to sync either my iPad or my iPhone 3GS, iTunes is locking up during the backup stage of the sync. This started two days ago.

Thanks whatheck, that worked! I confirm that my antivirus (ESET Smart Security) was interfeering:
I disabled ESET and synched - it worked!
Then I also backed it up manually, and that worked also (30 seconds).
Then I re-enabled Eset and backed up again... it still worked...
BUT then I Synched again, and it failed! Had to kill iTunes and the applemobiledeviceservice with taskmgr.
So I turned off realtime file system protection in Eset, and after restarting iTunes (with 3gs still connected), Itunes said "Verifying PaulW's iPhone" for a couple minutes.
- Then it synched fine (couple minutes at most - got a new podcast).
- Then I backed up again manually which worked (10 seconds!).
- Then I synched again, no problem.
Note that AppleMobileDeviceService.exe is still using 50% cpu when sitting there doing nothing, even with iphone not connected. Have to kill it manually (in task manager - processes) or cpu fan runs constantly.
FYI: my ESET is a couple weeks out of date (subscription expired) will have to update it...

Firefox crashes constantly on my Macbook pro. It opens the start page during 7 seconds and then it crashes. Reinstall, del profile, empty cache did not help

I cannot open Firefox anymore on my MacBook Pro. When I try to open Firefox, the start page appears during 7 seconds and then Firefox closes and opens a crash report. During these 7 seconds I can't use any button in Firefox. I deleted everything From firefox and Mozilla in my library and in my cache. After I did a reinstall from Firefox. But the problem keeps on existing.

How can I set the gain on a SCXI-1102 module without having my computer lock-up for 3 seconds?

Forgive my insolence, but did it never occur to anyone that spinning in a hard loop while polling a status register to set a gain for 3 seconds isn�t a great idea?
I have a number of SCXI-1102 modules to set the gains on, and it takes several seconds for each. Reading the documentation on the subject indicates that the SCXI_Set_Gain call polls a status register waiting for the gain to settle before returning � and it doesn�t even yield while doing so.
Are there any other ways I can set the gain? Is there a way that doesn't poll the register that returns in a reasonable amount of time?
AFAICT, there's no good reason to only allow one module to be s
etting its gain at a time. An asynchronous call it really needed - one that makes it the API programmer's responsibility to check the status of the register, or one that spawns a thread and sleeps between polls, and signals an event or invokes a callback or some-such-thing. Or you could even just sleep for three seconds after setting all the gains, this way the delay would be 3 seconds total � not 3 seconds for each gain set.

This NI-DAQ function call directly accesses the nidaq32.dll. While the nidaq32.dll is multithread safe, it is not a multithreaded DLL. This is also described in the KnowledgeBase entry 1V9DSHDM: "Can NI-DAQ Handle Different Operations at the Same Time? Is It a Multi-threaded DLL?"
You are correct that the SCXI_Set_Gain function is not asynchronous. Thus, you do have to wait till that function returns before calling the next one. LabVIEW has found a way around this. So, you can actually use the LabVIEW functions to set the gain on these modules without having to wait as you do with SCXI_Set_Gain.

Work-around for flash player hangs/freezes during initialisation...

Hello all,
Are you also facing the problem that the flash player hangs/freezes during execution of an xcelsius file? Try if the following work-around works also for you.
I am (was) facing the same problem: a swf file about 1474 kb with many components, generated with Xcelsius 5.3.2.0., trying to view with flash player 10.1.82.76. Did also hang/freezed! The file was originally build with version 5.3.0 and worked o.k. then...
The work-around which works for me is the following: I had all my components organized in groups. After ungrouping them all (which I think is a major drawback) and exporting it to swf, the report works! File size is more or less the same...
Maybe you can give this work-around a try for your own work....
So I think the SAP/Adobe bug has something to do with grouping of components or grouped components build in an earlier version of Xcelsius 2008... The following test that I will perform is ungrouping the components and then re-grouping them again in version 5.3.2.0....

Thank you for sharing this. Had a similar problem before and did some tinkering around with the file and all of a sudden it worked again. Fair bet it was exactly that as well.
In general Xcelsius performance goes down the drain if you start using many components. It is to be expected, somewhat, I guess. Various bugs also pop up because components do not always seem to play nice.
One thing I have found as well is that if you are doing a waterfall approach of constructing with a bunch of iterations in the implementation phase, you may end up with a bunch of components that were there early on. Sometimes they start messing up over time, because you've been playing with the data below or with the chart itself. E.g. on line charts label start distorting, or the frames flicker. In radiobutton boxes the boxes are not aligned properly. Checkbox labels are clipped at the end until you hover over them etc..
Solution: remove the components, add anew. If not too many components with a tough spreadsheet below, export Excel, start a new.

IPhone locks up during update/sync

I have synched my prior iPhone for several months so everything was set up fine, but it no longer will allow downloads. Last week, I tried to download the update for iPhone, and it locked up. When I disconnected, the iPhone was ruined, would only accept a download, but then would not complete the download. I got a new iPhone. Now, I have reloaded from a backup, I have the latest version of iTunes, and when I tried to download the latest iPhone update FIVE hours ago, it looked like it was working, but iTunes and the phone are stuck in "Updating iPhone Software." I will have to disconnect again; I cannot stay connected indefinitely. The telephone support is not available (I don't know what their limited hours are), but when I called last Sunday with the same problem, they could only help me redownload iTunes - and that didn't fix my phone. Help!!

I just bought the iPhone and when I brought it home, my phone and computer both locked up during teh software update. I spent an hour on the phone with a very nice lady, but she couldn't help me. She transferred me to a product specialist, and through conversation, we realized that I was the problem. I had my phone plugged into a powered USB hub, and it just would not work that way. I figured that since the hub was 2.0 and was getting power from my outlet, it would be fine. Guess not... As soon as I plugged it directly into my computer USB port and reset everything, it worked fine. I think you said you were using a laptop to sync, so maybe your USB port is just not cutting it. Good luck w/ the fix.

OS X 10.8.4 Flash Player locks up OS in Firefox 27.0.1

Flash Player locks up OS in Firefox 27.0.1, Flash is ok in Chrome.
I go to Youtube and play a video in Firefox and the image is scrabbled; pixelated shows a lot of green and screws up the whole system, if I use chrome flash is fine. The Firefox version is 12.0.0.44, I have tried earlier versions but I get the same result.
This is most annoying because Firefox is my main browser.

Chrome has ha separate plug-in from Firefox. Functions independently of it. Green screen (in Windows) is almost always caused by out dated or corrupted video drivers. Not something common to Macs since the hardware is proprietary, and the Drivers are in the BSD subsystem.
Gotta ask, how come you haven't run the 10.8.5 update? It came out October 14.

but nothing happen!! it doesnt do nothing!
i rename my xml file under <RDBMS ORACLE_HOME/appsutil/ but there is no new xml file!!

i found note 369179.1, Note says i need to apply lastest autoconfig patch...
When i donwload patch 6372396 which is lasest patch number for r11( i sourced r11 env file), and try to apply patch to my system its gives me that:

What Happens?

Try the standard fixes:
- Reset. Nothing will belost.
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory defaults/new iPod.

Pse 10 won't launch organizer unless i go thru premiere... also locks up during catalog back up

Bypass the Unwelcome Screen by creating Desktop shortcuts for the Organizer and the Editor.
The Editor's executable is:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 10\PhotoshopElementsEditor.exe"
The Organizer's executable is:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Elements 10 Organizer\PhotoshopElementsOrganizer.exe"
The Unwelcome Screen leaves a zombie process running which prevents the actual program from launching again.
