Playing a video outside the browser
Say you are watching a video on flash player on a website somewhere. Is it possible to play this video outside of the browser? Meaning, can I play the same video in a different media player or just by itself on my desktop?
Also, is there a way to stretch and skew the size of videos on a website?

On youtube, you can. Simply right click a video and choose "Pop out" from the menu. However, the video will still be playing in Flash because that's the player which has been embedded on the youtube site. Here's a screenshot for you.
To download a video to your own machine, you'll need to install Firefox from here: http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/fx/
After you do that, go to this Add-ons page and click the "Add To Firefox" button to install the add-on you see here: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/download-youtube/?src=ss This adds a button underneath a video which enables you to download any youtube videos to your own machine.
To play it locally, download the free VLC player from here: http://www.videolan.org/
Then right click the video you downloaded and choose to open it with the VLC player. If you can't see VLC in the list, click the Browse button and navigate to the VLC installation folder which is located at C:\Program Files\VideoLAN\VLC
Click vlc.exe once to highlight it and then click the "Open" button.
Forgot about Skew. There are player controls visible below the video which allow you to do other things, but I don't think Skew is one of them.

It's called a dock connector, not a USB port.
i found a product in the online store, that i guess you place the ipod mini on, and it gives you up to 20 or so more hours of time but then it says that you have to have a firewire port or cable?
What is it? The firewire port is on the computer, not the iPod.
If the original battery is going bad, the first thing to do is get that sorted out. -
I cannot Play Youtube or any other Videos in the Browser. It says Update FLASH Player though I have updated the Flash Player to latest version. The Videos work fine in IE/Safari/Google Chrome

Is it possible to play youtube video in safari browser on WiFi in iOS devices ?

I have a query regarding playing you tube videos in iOS devices (like iphone,ipad). I can able to play youtube videos in safari browser in iphone on 3G data connection but can not play the same video on WiFi. I am facing the same issue in the youtube iOS application also. Is it possible to play youtube video on WiFi in iOS devices ? Please help me to fix this issue.
ThanksMy understanding is that you should definitely be able to play youtube videos using a Wi-Fi network. To me, it sounds as though the issue may be more network related as the videos will work over cellular data. I have a couple questions I believe could help narrow down the exact issue:
• Is the device able to browse to other websites while connected to Wi-Fi, or will no sites work?
• Are there other devices (iPads, iPhones, computers, etc) that work on the same Wi-Fi network?

Yep. I installed Lion this morning. Open Mail. All is good. Went to video on the Apple's homepage and my whole computer froze up. I couldn't even shut down the computer properly. I just had to shut it off and restart. :|
Although, no "missing plug in" prompts were coming up for me. Just a frozen (brand new) iMac. -

Is it possible to play music videos on the Music App of the iPad 2? Or create a playlist for the Video App? or sort the music videos by artist, genre, album, etc.?
I have two music videos on my iPad and they don't even show up in the Music App - only in the Videos App so I have to conclude that you can only play them in the Videos App.

When using Sarfari or Google Chome, I am unable to play some videos on the internet. News clips, posted videos on blogs, and tv episodes from their own network websites. Youtube videos are fine. I doesn't make sense.
I tried downloading an update for quicktime, but the computer claims that quicktime is up to date. Yet, the videos and tv episodes don't play.
I have checked for the most recent software updates, and everything is up to date. Nothing is wrong with the hardware either.

Thank you for that, I wanted to make sure I was trying to replicate the same thing as you. Just tried it now, works fine for me.
Of note though, this will take a relatively well performing network to achieve this, I have such a network, if your network is not as good as it might be, you might encounter problems.
For the avoidance of doubt, I used the remote app on my phone to get my iTunes library on my computer to stream music to 3 of my Apple TVs, I then used the remote app to control another Apple TV and get it to stream a music video from my computer to it. Of interest I managed to do this while my wife was using yet another Apple TV (not with the remote app) to watch something else from iTunes on my computer. -
Loading and Playing 2 videos at the same time
Hello everyone
I'm having a problem on loading and playing two videos at the same time on XletView.
The background video, I'm loading by editing channels.xml that is located at config folder into xletview folder. I've just to add the file path and when i start the video it starts playing.
But now, I have a problem. I have to load a file that is into my HD, and play it at the same time of the main(background) video.
Do anyone know how to do this?anyone?

that used to happen to me all the time! I would recommend going to a different sight or attempting to download it again ( you may have missed a step it can be tricky).

How to run applet inside a browser coz my applet runs outside the browser
I would like to run the Java Applet viewer in-line inside a Browser Window. Presently, when launched through an html page, the applet opens another main window outside the browser.
