Playing an album switch to another and the old one keeps playing

If I am playing a song from an album and I switch to a different album, the original will continue to play.
Do I have (some way) shut down the old album before I can play a new one?

Simply switching to a playlist (album) (which is what I assume you're doing) DOES NOT switch playback to that list, It ONLY switches your view to it. IF you want to play a track (or the whole album) from the selected playlist (album) double click a track and playback will begin in THAT playlist (album).

That suggests the track is damaged.
If your country's iTunes Store allows you to redownload purchased tracks, I'd delete your current copy of the track and try redownloading a fresh one. See the following document for instructions:

Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".

Apps are permanently tied to the Apple ID used to purchase them. You will have to delete the apps from the phone and re-purchase them using your Apple ID.

Hi, you can't change which ID was used to purchase any app. However, you can edit your Apple ID, which may be a better option than using a new id.

I've done something a little different but have the same problem, sort of. I had been with AT&T for years and had iphones but I switched to VZ wireless quite a while back and got a droid. I just switched back and got the iphone 4S and was downloading apps from the phone having forgot I already had an iTunes account so I created another one.

First, you may want to choose to have the sidebar displayed for familiarity:

Afterwards, your device should be displayed if connected:
We'll want to click on it, and choose the Music tab at the top. Let's make sure "Sync Music" is checked:
Afterwards, you'll have the option to sync either the entire music library (for your first iPod), or "Selected playlists, artists, albums, and genres" (for the secondary device). Upon selecting this option, four larger option boxes will appear allowing you to pick and choose what content will be synced. For audiobooks, you may need to do the above in the "Books" section. I changed my AppleID and the old one appears on my iPad and I can't change it. Now it states my ID or password are invalid.

I changed my AppleID and when using iTunes from my iPad, it reflects my old ID and states invalid id or password.

Sign out of the old one and into the new one.
Anything purchased on the old one will still be tied to that account.

you cannot update apps that were purchased through your old email account without logging on to them because they were purchased through that one. It will only recognize the old one..... Ok I changed my apple ID because the old one was through a old boyfriend, now I have a new one and everything changed over except now when I try to get on certain apps (mainly all) his old ID keeps popping up instead of mine.

Apps are forever linked to the ID used to download them. If that is a problem t hen delete those old apps and download them again with the new ID. You can change ID in settings/it uses & App Store tap on ID And log in with new ID

Playing music, then switch to video and then going back to play list.

When I got my new touch I could be playing music, then switch to video, play videos, then go back to music and would be right where I left off on the song I was listening to it. Now when I switch to video and go back to music I have restart my playlist I was listening to. This totally blows, I hated it with my 5G video and now with the 2.1 update on my touch it does this again. Why in the world would this function be changed. I am pretty ticked

I had the same trouble w/ my iPod Touch 16GIG Gen 1 & it seemed to be worse after upgrading the software/firmware to Version 2.1; to the point where I was arranging to get it back to The Apple Store before it was 30 days old. The trouble seems to be worse as I approached 14GIG's of filled memory. I mostly have audio, but a few movies are loaded also. But I couldn't view the album art from end to end & it would also freeze & go back to the home screen after about 5 seconds of audio from an audio track intermittently. It was frustrating.
I used the HOME button on the top of the iPod to shut it down {holding it till the 'slide to power off' screen comes up & then doing the slide. Then using the HOME button to turn the iPod back on - seeing the cracked white apple when it reboots & starts back up. I haven't had any more trouble in iTunes. Maybe this reboot cleans up the memory of the iPod & a fresh reboot gives the OS a clean bill of health to look at the 14 GIGs of content that I've added in.
Give the Home button a try & let us know.

Welcome to the Apple Community.
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your iOS device, you need to delete the account from your iOS device first, then add it back using your updated details. (Settings > iCloud, scroll down and hit "Delete Account")

Firefox sync, I had to register for the second time using the same email id. After second registration, the new one and the old one do not sync. ????

I am using firefox sync for more than a year. Last week, when I tried to set up sync on my work computer, it tells me that the email id is unknown and to register. Anyway I registered. But it is starting from scratch. None of my old stuff synced to this PC.
In my home computer I am using the same email id, and it has all the data. It is still syncing the data to the server. At least I think it does. Because I have not seen any Sync errors in my home computer.
I want to know, how can I login with the same email id in two different computers, but have different data in each.

Do that before trying to add a new device.
