Playing and saving videos at the same time

Hi~
I wanna download a movie clip from the Web and play it, and at the same time, save the clip onto the local disk. So next time I play the clip, no more downloading.
my environment is Flash CS4 and AIR.
I looked up three classes: NetConnection, NetStream, VideoPlayer.
give me some hints~

Acquiring data from daq-pad and saving video at the same time

I am trying to record data from my daq-pad at 100 samples per second. At the same time I am using a usb interfaced camera to record a video feed. The idea is that when i begin recording data i also begin recording the video feed.
The way I record the video feed works fine in its own VI (I need it to record at 30fps and it does this just fine). But when I integrate it with the data record/capture VI the framing rate slows down to only 10 fps. I suspect this is because the VI gets caught capturing the data from the daq-pad thus slowing down its ability to record the video feed. I was hoping you could give me some help with how to record the data at 100 samples per second and get the VI to capture 30 frames per second. Thanks in advance for anyone who helps out.

Hi,
I took a look at your code and the problem is that you have both the data acquistion and the image acquistion in the same loop. Have you tried using parellel loops? There is more information about this in the labview tutorials that are available online if you are unsure how to do that. The problem is that you are doing a lot of things in that loop (acquiring data, doing some analysis, and writing to file), so you can't acquire images very fast because it depends on the speed of the loop iteration. Is it possible to output to div monitor and s-video at the same time?

I'm editing video and want to see the broadcast results on the fly (ie monitor and tv side by side, same image onscreen). Is it possible to output to div monitor and s-video at the same time? Maybe thru a splitter cable. I'm concerned about resolution issues.

This is not possible with a mini.

Macbook Pro: Play and record sound at the same time

Greetings everyone,
My brother and I have are going to switch go a mac, preferebly to a macbook pro. we used windows so far, but the frustration has grown extremely huge, so it's time to throw off this junk.
We've been working with sound a lot and many times we recorded any sound which played through the computer: that means sound and music from dvds and games or other sources, we couldn't get anywhere else. What we did is simply letting the game or dvd play and record the audio at the same time.
I've testet this functionality in windows via bootcamp on a macbook of friend of mine, but NOT the macbook pro version. It's wasn't really that good as I thought. Sound quality was below what I'd expect.
So here are my questions:
- Does the macbook pro have a better sound card, which enables simultaneos play + record?
- Is good record quality bound to a software I need to use?

Apple don't have separate "sound cards" like PC's , Martin. The necessary hardware is proprietary , and built into the logic boards.
Both of them have high quality combined optical digital input and audio line in, and combined optical digital output and audio line out. You can also attach various USB or firewire audio input and output devices if you wish. So as far as 'quality" goes, it depends what you are playing them through more than anything else. The inherent audio abilities of both are pretty danged good when using Mac specific software. That is why the music industry love 'em!
Or are you just talking about sound quality through the built in speakers, which are, of course severely limited by the amount of space available, though I've heard far worse from many PC notebooks!?

Dual screen-annotate and watch videos at the same time?

Does anyone know a way to annotate pdfs while watching a video lecture at the same time? I have tried notability and side by side but both lack the capabilities to do both. Thanks

Uninstalled everything PA, also uninstalled mangler which was the only thing that depended on PA. It didn't work anyway.
No pulseaudio --kill command so I couldn't run.
Checked systemd journal and there is no mention of PA this time.
Checked top, and grepped ps aux and there is no PA there either.
I also rebooted the machine completely just to make sure. However VLC and HTML5 have the same incompatibilities.

But the video and audio did work until I ran some HTML5 video, after which the audio worked, and then I opened it again and it didn't work...

can i play audio while recording a video so that the audio is recorded with the video? .. disabling the inboard mic, ? .. thank you

The iPhone can maintain multiple pairing records, but it can only connect to one headset or hands-free device at a time. However, in your situation there may be a solution. You can connect the iPhone via Bluetooth for calls and use the 3.5mm jack on your iPhone and car radio to connect for music.

HDMI and Component Video at the same time?

I'm trying to connect both outputs of the Apple TV at once. HDMI to the projector and the component to my receiver. I want to be able to get a preview of what I'm going to be watching before sending it to the projector.
Is there a way to have both outputs active? I just need one component or composite output for my preview.

HDMI takes precedence and will disable component when an HDMI cable is connected

Loading and Playing 2 videos at the same time

Hello everyone
I'm having a problem on loading and playing two videos at the same time on XletView.
The background video, I'm loading by editing channels.xml that is located at config folder into xletview folder. I've just to add the file path and when i start the video it starts playing.
But now, I have a problem. I have to load a file that is into my HD, and play it at the same time of the main(background) video.
Do anyone know how to do this?

Flash causes pc to freeze when playing 2 youtube videos or flash videos at the same time

I dont know what has caused this issue but since around january my pc has been freezing to the point where i have to hard reset if i play 2 youtube videos or any flash videos at the same time. the whole pc becomes unresponsive when this happens. all my drivers are up to date so i dont know where this issue is coming from.

There's two ways you can go about this Amanda.
1. Set the length of your images for example 8 seconds each. Offset the photo's like a ladder effect and add the animating keyframes. The red dots in the image below represent the start/finish points of the animation.
2. The other option is to set the length of all the same, then use keyframes to set the start/ finish of the animation.
I always use example 1, however example 2 would probably be easier to understand?

Let's double-check your AX's settings...
To set up AirTunes on the AirPort Express Base Station (AX), using the AirPort Admin Utility, connect your computer directly (using an Ethernet cable) to the Ethernet port of the AX, and then, try these settings:
AirPort tab
- Base Station Name: <whatever you wish or use the default>
- Wireless Mode: Join an Existing Wireless Network (Wireless Client)
- Wireless Network: <select your Belkin wireless network>
Music tab
- Enable AirTunes on this base station (checked)
- Enable AirTunes over the Ethernet port (optional)
- iTunes Speaker Name: <whatever you wish>
- iTunes Speaker Password (optional)
In iTunes:
iTunes > Preferences... > Advanced > General
- Look for remote speakers connected with AirTunes (checked)

Have you ever even used skype on an iphone or ipod? We tried it and there is no way to type to each other while you are video chatting. You can do the typing during the video on a COMPUTER, but not on an iphone or ipod.

What happens when you try to change them?
Try:
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup. See:

Getting Logic master to send to both 1-2 and 3-4 at the same time

I have an native Instruments Audio Kontrol 1 'sound card' that I'm running 2 different sets of M-Audio monitors off of. My question i, can I run the master output to both 1-2 and 3-4 at the same time so I can easily check mixes on both sets of speakers without changing every single tracks output?
Also, is this possible to do in iTunes also? I can find nothing in Logic (or anywhere) that will allow this and I initially thought my device was broken until I simply choose 3-4instead of 1-2.

How about routing all the outputs that are currently on Output 1-2 to a bus first then:
Option 1: Switching that bus's output between outputs 1-2 and 3-4 (for A/B comparisons)
or
Option 2: Use the Send on that bus's output to another bus, route that second bus's output to 3-4 (so both busses are sending audio to both sets of speakers simultaneously).
As an alternative, the Mackie Big Knob is a great hardware solution for routing a signal to 3 sets of speakers, allowing you to switch among them with simple button presses.
