Playing audio over two sliides

I am trying to play audio over two slides. I basically want
it to loop over the two slides and then stop. It won't work for a
project because I don't want it to play the entire time. I tried
doing it for the two slides, but there is no looping option when I
am in the editing audio window.
Can someone help me out?

In order to do this, you will need to edit the audio and
create a single clip that is timed to span the two slides. So for
starters, I'd examine the timing to determine exactly how long the
clip should be. Then edit the clip and copy/paste to create a clip
exactly that length. Then insert the clip on the first slide. You
should then see an option advising of a mismatch between audio
timing and slide timing. You will want to choose the bottom option.

Mirror the same audio over two different outputs

Hi,
I've got a MacMini (late 2009, running Lion) set up in my living room and connected to my HDTV. The audio goes to my amp via the built in digitial audio out and toslink cable.
I recently added a second TV in my bedroom and connected it via the mini display port and a HDMI cable. Unfortunately this version of Mini does not support audio over mini display port so i bought a separate USB audio card. This is connected via a Jack plug to my audio in on my bedoom TV (no amp here, non-digital stereo audio).
I would like to be able to have video and audio in both rooms at the same time. Video is working very well, but the audio does'nt come along. I can only set the audio to one output. I tried to make an Aggregate device, but still the audio sounds over one output. I tried this with both stereo audio (music) and with 5.1 audio.
Offcourse I googled and found that an aggregate device is used for creating multiple channels for audio, not for mirroring.
What i'm looking for, is some kind of setting or software(i hope) that can mirror my audio to both outputs, and if nessecary, format into the right source (5.1 for the toslink and 2.0 for the USB device). Ofcourse, everything needs to be in sync with video and eachother.
Is there such a thing?

I'm not clear what procedure you're using here. Using a cloud for storage might change some file tags. Generally users I think keep the library on the same drive as the media, keeping the library backups on the system. There is no real benefit in keeping the media in a separate location. Often users will keep the library in the same folder as the media. It makes backing up using tools like Carbon Copy Cloner very efficient.
1a) This can be difficult to find as there sometimes is no obvious indicator. It might be a missing element in a compound clip, a missing or altered layer in a graphics file, a missing font, a missing effect. These will show up inside the item involved, but may not be apparent in the browser. A missing transition for instance will not be seen until you skim over the project or try to export it.
2) The 43 MB is a small amount of optimized media. This never prevents relinking. The library is always looking for original media, or proxy media if you're in proxy playback. It never looks for optimized media. If it has it, it uses it, if it doesn't, it uses the original media. If you are using original/optimized playback, you must have the original files. The optimized files are not enough.

IPhone 5 won't play audio over Bluetooth in 2012 Lexus GX 460

My iPhone 5 can connect via Bluetooth to my 2012 Lexus GX460. I can make and receive calls over car speaker/Bluetooth.
However, when I attempt to connect and play music, it says Bluetooth connection failed -- Please see portable player settings.
Are there new settings on the iPhone to have the audio played over Bluetooth?
My iPhone 4S and 4 worked perfectly. Now, the iPhone 5 has issues.
I have tried this:
1. Removed the phone from the GX 460
2. Added the phone back using password
3. Says it is connected and I can make/receive calls
Since the audio did not work, I tried:
1. Turned off Bluetooth on the iPhone
2. Turned off the iPhone
3. Removed the phone from the GX 460
4. Turned off the GX 460
5. Started the GX 460
6. Turned on the iPhone
7. Turned on Bluetooth
8. Paired the phone with the GX 460
9. Calls can be made/received, but audio still does not connect
Lexus has not returned any calls/messages on this one -- hoping someone may have an answer.

Had this problem in my 2012 IS F. Fixed it by going to 'SETUP' -> 'Audio' -> BLuetooth settings. Deleted the existing pairings and then repaired my phone. Bingo!

No Soundbooth Playback Playing Audio over RDP Connection

Hello...
After searching in vain for a solution to this problem in a multitude of different places and coming-up empty, I thought it worthwhile to try asking everyone here to see if you can please help me. Here's my dilemma:
My company purchased Adobe eLearning Suite 2 which comes with Adobe Soundbooth. We installed it on a high-powered PC that I share with other eLearning developers. I am using Microsoft RDP to remote-into the PC with eLearning Suite and am attempting to perform some simple edits on an existing WAV file using Soundbooth. I am not interested in recording via RDP as I understand it is not possible to do this via Windows XP. Playback of audio files works perfectly fine from other applications on the remote PC with eLearning Suite. I can even play-back and make very simple edits of audio directly via Captivate 5. Just not from Soundbooth.
When attempting to play an audio file over RDP, the playhead refuses to move. If I go to Edit / Preferences / Audio Hardware, I see that the Default Device shown is Soundbooth 3.0 WDM Sound, with Output Mapping of Microsoft RDP Audio Driver (emulated) - 1 and Microsoft RDP Audio Driver (emulated) - 2 for left and right channel, respectively.
I have tried the following:
1. Changed default device to Soundbooth 3.0 DirectSound. This changed the Left and Right output mappings to "no audio device - 1 and -2" respectively. In this configuration, the playhead moves and the audio level meter shows activity, but again, there is (of course) no audible sound.
2. Under the original Soundbooth 3.0 DirectSound device, turned-off Device 32-bit Playback. No change in the problem. The playhead refuses to move when play is clicked.
If someone can provide some suggestions on how to resolve this issue, I would really appreciate it! For now, whenever I need to edit a file, I have to hoof-it to the Adobe PC and perform my edits "in-person".

The sound does playback locally. I decided to use YouTube to reproduce the issue (with success). I then decided to hit other sites using other similar plugins to see if audio playback would work and they did (for Shockwave and QuickTime). As far as if this worked before?... I can't say that for sure. Where I work, we use a lot of VM technologies to perform testing and I usually use Fabulatech's USB over Network client/server solution to have access to audio devices from a VM, but that's when I'm not using a Remote Desktop Client (using RDP) and use a different remote interface (like a browser plugin: e.g., VMware's Lab Manager) for viewing the operating system screen. Lately I have been using the Remote Desktop Client more and more because it's just a better tool for getting to VMs remotely than the other less primitive options (which require extra utilities tp support such things like audio). Function Airport Express audio over speakers Features

I am having trouble with my Airport Extreme Base station (AEBS) and Airport Express (AE) and setting them up to play audio over powered speakers or stereo.
Any information would be helpful, as at this point It looks like I will be returning the AE to Apple.
The AE is set up by having it join an existing network, with a AEBS 802.11n as the main base.
Problems:
With iTunes, the play is sporadic and (as if a signal is being lost) and usually stops playing after a few minutes.
The distance between devices is less than 10 feet.
The play was less choppy by setting up the AE to receive directly from my laptop with no AEBS in between. However it appears to me that you are only able to be com=nnected to one wireless device at a time. In other words, I can be connected to the AEBS and internet, or be connected to the AE, but not both, unless they are set up as being server and client in same WDS.
I did try the Air Foil, and although it did play from other applications like Real player, it did nothing for the signal apparently cutting in and out. Its video player did not function at all, synchronized or not. It did play audio from iTnune downloaded video through Quicktime, but un synchronized.
My conclusion thus far is that either the AE I have is defective, or it simply is not capable of performing as advertised.
I am looking to hear if which of these scenarios is the more likely.
Not to rule out that I have some how set it up incorrectly, in which case correct instructions would be appreciated.

I do wish it was simpler to get clear information about the real world efficacy of products. Before discussion forum, I asked 3 One to One people about how the AE would perform and phone support about what problem was.
I have determined that with my computer being closer to AEBS, the signal is lost less (and is acceptable) than when it is further away. It is interesting that in both instances the distance of computer from AEBS, is far less than the AEBS is from AE.
My 867 is starting to fall apart (literally many cracks developing) so I am looking at newer macbook pros. I am wondering, Is the performance of the airport card better at some point in the model progression of macbooks?

I down loaded a song over two weeks ago from I-tunes and it still says it's downloading even though I can play it on my list, it just won't let me transfer this song to a cd, any suggestions

Two mp4 videos on skydrive - low res mp4 video plays but higher res only plays audio

I have uploaded two mp4 video files to windows live skydrive. When I browse to them in firefox (10.0) the lower res one plays perfectly but the higher res plays only audio the video remains blank.

I have not got quicktime on my desktop pc - I have not loaded any plugins for quicktime - so why does one play and not the other? - and how can I get the other to play please?

Should be able to go into your sound preferences and choose your output device, you can also try downloading Airfoil and try that, it's a pretty cool app.

Recently my movies and videos take forever to load and when they start playing it's for a second or two at a time. Have to hit the play icon over and over, did not use to be this way they work great on my desktop and iPod

Recently I have been experiencing my downloaded videos and online vids taking a long time to load and when they do, they will only play for a few seconds at best and you have to hit the play icon over and over. I finally resolved my problem after spending way too much time on it. I simply handed my 160GB iPod to my husband to put his fav Stones & Beatles songs on and I went back to my 80GB Microsoft Zune which has never disappointed me.
After spending so much time trying to figure this out I did finally take it back to Apple Store who performed a diagnostic and found there was a problem with the device. They replaced it with a refurbished one which has similar issues. All I wanted to do was listen to my music. Was that too much to ask? So I am happy to be free of this problematic device. No more Apple for me!!

Play dvd or quicktime over two monitors

im not sure this goes here, but.... i'm wondering if there is a way (through other software or not) to watch a dvd or a quicktime video over two monitors, basically, to stretch it across both monitors for viewing.

Shuffle 2 stopped playing audio podcasts

Hi. I have a Shuffle 2nd generation that just stopped playing audio podcasts. I've been listening to music and OTR and CBC Radio podcasts, and all of a sudden it stopped playing the podcasts. Music plays fine, but if I just load it with podcasts, and try to play them, my little light just blinks (saying "you don't have anything loaded!"). It still plays the music, but skips over each podcast.
The podcasts are good. I used to play the exact same ones a month or two ago - then it just stopped playing them. I can listen to the podcasts on Itunes, and can listen to them on my old Shuffle 1st generation.
Help!

ooh, I did a bit more research and found a solution for my problem.
iPod shuffle won't play podcasts if its in shuffle mode. You have to switch it to linear mode.
I did that and now it plays just fine. Hopefully that's all that was wrong with yours as well.
I must have accidentally switched mine by accident and not realized it.

Playing Audio Files in the Finder-any tips?

Something I've been meaning to ask for ages... and hopefully an easy one to answer!
When playing audio files in the Finder (in 10.5.8), it's really annoying when the file stops playing when you click on another window or application (or even just the Desktop). Is there any way around this?
Someone recommended Snapper, but it's the same story - file stops playing when you click on any other area. Is this problem confined to Leopard (ie. has it been fixed in Snow Leopard?) - never used to be like this in Tiger.
Some of us like to multi-task when listening to audio. The only solution I can see is importing the file into itunes. Any other suggestions?

That's not the Finder, that's QuickLook.
QuickLook is a function that can only work with the foremost selected item, and that makes sense, as you can, for example, QL a PDF within Mail.app, as well.
Why not just use column view (doesn't everybody?) and play it in the Preview pane at the right?
It will keep playing until you close the window or select another object within it.
I use QuickLook when I want to give an audio file a quick once-over - skip here and there, but for actually playing it through, I use the column view preview.

After install of Mavericks, it looks like my system kernal panics and just sits there. I tried waiting over two nights. Tried reinstalling twice, booting r/s. Recovery partition now has Mavericks as OS. Im running a iMac i3 27 inch circa 2011. Any ideas?

Recovery partition now has Mavericks as OS. Im running a iMac i3 27 inch circa 2011. Any ideas? Can still bootcamp into windows.

The file seems to create the CD/DVD/Image and USB just fine. So I used this only to create a CD image which I then wrote on a blank CD which seems to work fine. Also, I played around a bit and had some partial success in booting the partition. I've updated my original opening post with the new findings.
Whew!! what a waste of time! Never want to do all of this again .

Audio over standard DVI HDMI?

What are the audio capabilities with the 1st 4 generations of MacBook Pros with standard full size DVI outputs when using a DVI to HDMI adapter?
I know that the mini display and thunderbolt ports support full quality 7.1 audio at 24bit 96KHz over HDMI (plug and play right out of the box to a surround receiver). What about the DVI machines? Can you at least get stereo audio thru the DVI port for basic TV/movie watching? Or is audio over HDMI only available starting on the 5th generation MacBook Pros?

Audio over displayport?

I can't find an official apple response to this matter, does the new mac mini transmit an audio signal via it's new display port?
Display port does support audio, and display port to hdmi adaptors support audio, which means I could connect a mini to my hdmi tv and have the audio work properly.... IF the mac transmits audio over display port.
What's the word?

So if you connect the new LED display to the Mini with the only connector available on the monitor (i.e. the new mini displayport), how do you get audio into the monitor and be played through it's 2.1 sound system?
Surely, this must be done through the mini displayport?
