Playing audio podcasts from my iPod on TV

I have no problem playing video podcasts from my iPod on TV, using the Apple AV cable and a scart adapter.
However, when I play an audio podcast, I hear the audio on the TV, but I don't see the accompanying visuals that are part of the audio podcast.
I tried to find a "TV on" setting for audio podcasts (similar to that used for video podcasts) but couldn't.
Can anyone help/advise?
Thanks in advance!

I belive your Ipod is operating normally!
I belive the only time you'll get a visual is when your playing back Video, Music video and Video podcast.
There are no visuals output to Tv for audio programs;only on the Ipod itself!

My wireless earbuds work just fine, but some third-party apps play audio only through the iPod and iPhone speaker even though the buds are properly connected. Does anyone know why and is there a solution?

Assuming you are using Bluetooth headphones, do the apps have the option to use Bluetooth?
The app should have an option to select the speaker (or wired earphones) or the Bluetooth headphones.
    You can also try:

Contact the developer/go to their support site if only one app.

  • How do I move MPEG audio files from my iPod to my library on my computer???

Can someone tell me how to move MPEG audio files from my iPod to my library on my computer? Somehow all my songs on my iPod are MPEGs and they won't transfer to the library. I really don't want to loose the music, and there doesn't appear to be an option to convert the MPEG to a ACC file while the MPEG is on the iPod. Please help....

iTunes/iPod does not provide a way of copying tracks from an iPod to iTunes except for purchased music. But iTunes can play MP3 files without conversion.
Here are some ways of getting files from an iPod to your PC:
    Copy from iPod to PC
It is important not to allow your iPod to sync with an empty library. If it is set to synchronise automatically you will get a message saying your iPod is linked to a different library and asking if you want to sync – it is important to press cancel as syncing with an empty library erases all music from your iPod.
You can also prevent auto sync by holding down shift & ctrl as you plug in your iPod and keeping the keys held down until the iPod appears in iTunes.
Once you are connected, you need to set your iPod to manage music manually.

If you have an iPod with iTunes Store purchases on it, you can use it to copy your purchases to other authorized computers.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1848
However this is not allowed for other music.
This MacMuse tip tells you how to copy music from your iPod using Windows Explorer, but it is a bit fiddly:

Otherwise you can use third party software to manage the transfer, there are a variety of programs out there, some free and some that will copy ratings and counts as well as the music files. Here is a selection, check them out and see what suits you.

  • Shuffle 2 stopped playing audio podcasts

Hi. I have a Shuffle 2nd generation that just stopped playing audio podcasts. I've been listening to music and OTR and CBC Radio podcasts, and all of a sudden it stopped playing the podcasts. Music plays fine, but if I just load it with podcasts, and try to play them, my little light just blinks (saying "you don't have anything loaded!"). It still plays the music, but skips over each podcast.
The podcasts are good. I used to play the exact same ones a month or two ago - then it just stopped playing them. I can listen to the podcasts on Itunes, and can listen to them on my old Shuffle 1st generation.
    Help!

ooh, I did a bit more research and found a solution for my problem.
iPod shuffle won't play podcasts if its in shuffle mode.  You have to switch it to linear mode.
I did that and now it plays just fine.  Hopefully that's all that was wrong with yours as well.
I must have accidentally switched mine by accident and not realized it.

  • How can I code to play audio continuously from page to page in iBooks for reflow ePub

    Hi,
I have tried and successfully completed the iBooks ambient soundtrack option in Fixed Layout ePub. It works fine.
But while trying the same in Reflow ePub, it is not working in iPad iBooks. I have latest iBooks version and latest iOS version in my iPad.
Please let me know how can I code to play audio continuously from page to page in iBooks for reflow ePub?
    Thanks,

As soon as the user turns to the next page, the audio stops.
That's how it works in all cases.

  • How can I play my songs from my iPod that are no longer in my computer

When I go to my iPod under devices and click "Music" it shows all the songs I have on my iPod but it's all grayed out and I can not play them from here. Now at first I thought you just couldn't do it but my brother for some reason can... None of his songs are grayed out and they let him play it straight from his ipod.

he is manually managing his ipod song list
where as i am assuming you syncing your music automatically, if you change to manual management you will lose all of your music and have to resync it.

  • Can I sync my audio books from my iPod touch onto iTunes on my computer using only my computer?? My iPod is MIA, could have been stolen.

I'm trying to determine whether or not I can import audio books from my iPod to my computer using only my computer. I purchased said audio books through the same iTunes account on my iPod that I have on my computer. I can't sync manually from my iPod because I haven't been able to locate it in weeks!! Is it possible to use only my laptop?

The music sync is one way only - computer to ipod.  The exception is itunes purchases.  Without syncing:  File>Transfer Purchases
Copy everything from your old computer, or your backup copy of your old computer, to your new one.

I can't transfer old podcasts from my ipod to my iTunes library

What happens when you try to transfer them from the iPod back to your iTunes library?  Are these podcasts you originally downloaded from the iTunes Store or were they imported from outside of iTunes?

  • HT1848 how do i delete audio books from my iPod nano 5th generation

How do I delete audio books from my iPod Nano 5th generation. Have deleted from iTunes library & chose sync but it is still on my iPod.

What you do is this; the next time your ipod is jacked to the USB port on you computer and it shows under "Devices" in your Itunes library. click on that folder (your ipod) and it will have eight folders above the Ipod's state.
That was step one; step two is once you see this bar above the ipod's state in the Ipod's folder under "devices" scroll down the horizontal bar until you see audiobooks
Itune's is very user friendly and will give you the option to pick and choose or pick all. to get the audio books off your ipod pick and choose the audio books you want on you're ipod

  • Audio Podcast shutdown my iPod

Ever since i updated my iTunes and iPod to the new version every time i try to listen to a audio podcast that i put on my ipod, the darn thing shuts off... has this happen to anyone else and if so do you know how to fix this problem?

I'm glad I found this thread -- my post about this problem hasn't drawn a reply. The problem started with my update to iTunes 7.0.0.7, it effects some podcasts more than others, and if I play the first few moments from my iPod through iTunes, it will play later. After 7.x trashed my podcasts, I went to my other PC that still had 6.05. I Wiped out all podcasts, then reloaded. The problem continues!!!! Same "fix" -- if I play it before disconnecting the iPod, it plays. But....if I turn off the iPod & turn it on later, crash iPod on play.
Makes me think the iPod firmware/software update that occurred when I installed 7.x created a problem. Or maybe the interaction with 7.x together. Either way, boy, am I sorry!!

  • Deleting Podcasts from an iPod

In previous versions of iTunes (<= 6), when an iPod is attached, I could click on the iPod in the sources list on the left and see all of the files loaded, including anything in playlists. I put all of my podcasts in to a Podcast playlist on my iPod. Previously, after I listened to them I could hit Option-Backspace to delete the files from the iPod. If I forgot to hold down Option, or hit Command-Backspace (which is the keystroke to remove a file from the iTunes library proper - why it's different is another matter!), I could always click on the iPod in the list and find the podcast and then delete it.
Now, with iTunes 7, when you click on the iPod, you get that lovely iPod summary page - you can't see ALL of the files on your iPod. Clicking on the Music selection under iPod only shows "music" items - not items in the playlists. If I accidentally hit the wrong key to delete a file my podcast playlist - the file is removed from the playlist, but it's still on the iPod - with no way to remove it!
I know the file is still there, I used Senuti to look at the iPod and it's in there.
Does anyone know of a way to see ALL files on the iPod, so I can delete these rogue items? I only have a 10g iPod, so keeping around podcasts that are upwards of 50mb adds up!

Nope. That's not it. I usually have the disclosure triangle open. I see "Music", and my three playlists - "Books", "Christmas", and "Podcasts".
I don't auto sync - I drag my podcasts from the Podcasts list in the Library to the Podcasts playlist on the iPod.
When I finish listening, I usually delete them by holding down Option and hitting Delete. I'm asked "Am I sure I want to remove this item from the iPod?" Click OK and it's deleted
If I don't hold down option, it's just removed from that playlist. But it's still on the iPod, but I can't access it anymore - it's not under Music, or (obviously) any other playlist.
I know it's still there because when playing the iPod in Shuffle mode, it had played the podcast I "deleted".
Previous versions of iTunes would show you ALL items on the iPod when you clicked the iPod in the source list - now clicking the iPod shows that status page. So I'm stuck with at least one podcast (and I'm sure I'll do it again) on it in limbo!

  • Can I play a movie from my ipod classic onto my ipad screen?

I have a 160 GM ipod classic that holds all my movies.  I would like to buy a 16 GM ipad 3 but I know it won't be able to hold my movies.  Can I stick with the 16 GB ipad 3 but play my movies on it from my ipod classic?  I want to buy a wifi ipad and not a 4G one so when I'm driving in the car and I want to show movies to my kids in the back I won't be able to access the icloud or dropbox, etc.  Can I connect my movies from my ipod classic directly to the ipad with a cord to watch them on the ipad?

So if I want to be able to watch all my movies or listen to all 50 GB of my songs I'll need to buy a more expensive 32 or 64 GB ipad and shuffle movies and songs in and out of it or else use the wifi and iCloud.  Is that correct? There's no way the ipad can access an external hard drive?
