Playing internet radio on computer cannot connect

I am trying to listen Internet Radio using iTunes in my Windows pc. But, when select a station gets a new window "Opening URL" with the message "connecting..." and stays like that forever. How can I fix that conection?

it may use Flash which is not yet available for the iPhone....
...it possibly could be available soon through the new AppStore...but no one really knows for sure....Adobe, maker of Flash, has said they are in the works trying to develop an application for the iPhone, but not much more info has come out since

For the block party we just had I was doing just that. I already had a wireless network in my house so what I did was connected an Airport Express to my wireless network in my garage. The Airport Express has an audio jack on it. To this jack, I connected my amp and speakers down in the garage. I was then able to connect iTunes to the speakers over the wireless network.
One additional benefit was that using the Remote app on my iPhone I was able to control my iTunes remotely from the garage to change music from downstairs.
It all worked like a charm.

I've been running Windows Server 2012 R2 with the Essentials Experience in test for a Windows 8.1 client environment, on an HP ProLiant MicroServer N54L. Overall I've found the Essential Experience set-up over WHS2011 and WHSv1 okay; still looking to extract
any real value over the former versions.
This box has been up and running for a few months now, with client backups of a Win 8.1 box scheduled and running successfully every day. However when trying to conduct any file restores from the backups, to the client, I receive an error dialog once I go
through motions from the Dashboard:
On the 'Devices' tab, right-click the appropriate client and select 'Restore files or folders for the computer'
'Restore Files of Folders' dialog pops up, asking me to 'Choose a backup' from the list of all the backups that have run
Select any one in the list - have tried numerous backups; automatic, manual, etc. same result every time
Brings up the dialog to 'Choose a volume', choose either C: or D: partitions of the same fixed drive - again, no difference which one I choose, the outcome is the same
'Opening the volume' dialog starts, with progress bar, runs to about 4% complete the pops up the dialog 'The restore process did not succeed'. Full error in the dialog, "The restore process did not succeed because your computer cannot connect to the
server. Make sure that the computer is connected to the networkm and then try again
If my computer cannot connect to the server - how can I get that far? How can I open the dashboard, select a client, select from a list of backups, select a volume to restore, etc. What is going on here?

Why is iTunes freezing (dreaded beach ball!) whenever I've played internet radio for a while, say 20mins or longer?

So, after a period of playing internet radio (various stations), the station stops and I find then that iTunes has frozen with the beach ball spinning.
I'm hoping that someone in the community can provide some advice.

Hard to say. It sounds like things are pretty scrambled. What happens is the free space that is left is fragmented into thousands of different places on the drive. So any disc writing activity takes super long and locks things up.
I would recommend posting on the MBP thread http://discussions.apple.com/forum.jspa?forumID=1149&start=0 This is more of a system rescue problem than an itunes issue.

iTunes is a program on your computer, it is not "the Internet". The fact that the program runs has no bearing on Internet connectivity.
Maybe if a little more information was supplied, like version of the Operating system on the computer and version of iTunes, then a little more assistance could be provided.

Apple TV frequently stops playing Internet radio

GGet an Error message. I read that iTunes doesn't buffer. I can play Internet radio all day without interruption from tunein radio or another radio app on my ipad and AirPlay it through Apple tv. Sorry that the Apple TV is kind of "junkie" in that it doesn't buffer. Surprised that a free app is better thought out than something I paid about $100.

A lot of people have reported this with the latest software, you may need to wait for a fix.

Client Computer cannot connect to server over internet (VPN)

I am setting up a windows server 2012 Data centre for business purpose. I have installed & configured server with AD DC, DNS, DHCP, IIS, NPS, Routing etc.. I am able to connect client computers which is on the same domain to the server through same router.
VPN also work fine. But if I try to connect to the server via VPN through a different internet connection it won't connect. Can some one please tell me what I am doing wrong.
My Network Confg is,
DHCP IP ADDRESS FROM ISP
DHCP Disables Router, (Tried with enable)
Have my own website domain which is not linked with the server.
NAT not configured.

Can you ping to the remote server after connecting through VPN?
Did you find any specific error\event id for your case?
What’s your client OS version?
If you are not getting ping successfully then seems there is connection issue through VPN. So for this you can initially check the connection setting with following article.

ITunes not recognise iPod if playing Internet Radio

Anyone had this since iTunes 6.0.5 update and also the iPod update last week. If have Internet radio playing in iTunes and you connect your iPod the Mac recognises it, however iTunes doesn't see it. I know this used to work as I pretty much always have a net radio station of some sort playing when on my Mac.
I would submit it as a Bug but no idea if you can.

I'm curious about this as I am sure I was able to play a radio station streaming through iTunes to my AX the other day. I tried this evening and it didn't work. I was able to play a song ripped by iTunes, and switched back to the streaming radio which did play through my computer speakers, but not to the AX.
I know AX won't play video clips (sound) from iTunes....
So, I think I figured it out- AirTunes will play MPEG based streaming audio through the AX, but will not play streams with "Kind" being QuickTime. Unfortunate that my two favorite stations are both QT streamed audio, and these were the two I kept trying to get to work when I thought the problem was the AX or the stereo it was plugged into.
This also explains why I was getting audio through my computer even when it was not selected in iTunes, it only happens when the QT audio can't play through the AirTunes.
Any further thoughts or work arounds for this?
Funny, I found nothing about this in my searches regarding this problem (other than video clip's audio won't play and require Airfoil).

I was just getting ready to post the same question. I can stream fine with any other program, amarok, bmp, etc. Rhthymbox just gives the little red icon next to the stream. Unknown playback error. I can play all other files with no problems.

Playing internet radio app on 4S over MB audio system

I have an iPhone 4S and ran an internet radio app on it. Then I connected the phone with the ausio system of my 2011 MB E550. For about 2 seconds I could hear the radio station over the car speakers but then the phone switched to the ipod app. I could not switch back to the radio app neither was I able to stop the playing song on the phone since the desplay would not allow me to actually go into the ipod app while connected to the car audio system.
Why is this and is there a way to make the phone play the internet radio station?
The fact that I heard the radio station for about 2 seconds tells me that it generally is possible but then there must be something in the iphone software which makes it flip to the ipod. Can this be bridged without sacrificing the phone's warranty?

I'm not saying that this is your problem but it could potentially be and needs to be corrected. After making the corrections as stated below test and let us know if things improve.
If your DHCP range is 2 to 254 that means the whole range of addresses can be assigned to dynamically. This can cause problems because you haven't left any addresses available to be assigned statically. You will notice that addresses 90 and 100 are within that range.
Set the DHCP range to 250 to 254. That reserves an range of 50 addresses for use by the DHCP. You don't need to make any changes to the IP addresses of the PC or Express as their addresses will now fall outside the range reserved for DHCP.

Can't play Internet Radio

Hi,
Previously, when I wanted to stream a radio station over the Internet, I just clicked on the link and a new tab opened with a "Play" button on the bottom of the page. I could then play the broadcast with no problem.
Now, for whatever reason, when I click the link to stream radio my iMac downloads some file with the extension ".asx.asf" and nothing happens. I've tried opening this downloaded file, but my iMac asks me to choose an application with which to open it. iTunes is apparently the default app, but I've been wrestling with iTunes trying to get it to play the file, but no luck.
As I said, everything used to work fine, but now this problem arose. Any help is appreciated. This happens with whatever radio station I try to stream, not one particular station.

I have the same problem as huyt78. Incredibly annoying as I live abroad and signed up for my home Football club's radio broadcasts only to find a few weeks later it doesn't work any more! Flip4Mac doesn't work for me either. How do I listen to Internet Radio? Someone please help.

Client (an internet radio) will not automatically connect

Trying to install an internet radio Sagecom RM 50 on my intel mac lion with a time capsule. It will not connect automatically. I can connect using a pin and inputting the MAC, but when turning the radio off , it will not reconnect automatically. The radio works perfect on my office system with a thompson router and windows xp. Any ideas?

Sorry I haven't fully explained. First time I have joined a forum for assistance.
The Sagemcom RM50 is a wireless only internet radio and should connect automatically to your network after it scans for available networks and you input the encryption key. It works as advertised with my work router and windows xp system. I checked it at work for troubleshooting only to ensure that there was not a problem with the radio.
I want to use this at home, but it does not connect automatically with my TC and imac. It recognizes both my normal and guest networks. I am able to input the encryption key with no faults, but it just continues attempting to connect with no error codes. The only way I have been able to connect is by "add wireless client" manually from the airport utility. This is where there is an option to use a PIN. The PIN is generated from the radio itself. The radio MAC address is then found and the connection established with no further problems. (There is also an option for "connect on first attempt" but this does not work.) According to the airport utility documentation after you have added a wireless client, it should reconnect without a password.
The problem is that when you turn the radion off and back on the radio will not automatically reconnect.
We have 6 or 7 other wi-fi devises (both apple and non-apple) that have never given this sort of problem.
It appears that the TC or OS is not saving or recognizing the radio MAC address when you turn it on. It just continues attempting to connect. I'm pretty certain at this point there is something blocking the wireless connection attempt and that a setting needs to be revised to allow the radio to connect and an IP address provided.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Im thinking of purchasing an apple i phone and i was wondering if I could use the internet to play my favorite internet radio stations.

not that i know to sorry but if you search on google you might find something however if there is nothing try going to an apple store and having a play about on one of you favorite stations and see if any work.
