Playing iTunes music videos on MBP

Hello,
I recently replaced my old iBook G3 with a new 17" MBP 2.16 Core Duo (216 video card 1 gig ram, 100 gig hard drive @7200).
Last night I went to watch a music video from my iTunes for the first time and I was very disapointed with the streaming. It definetly wasn't as good as when the video plays on my iPod. Can someone tell me if this is normal or do I need to adjust a setting or do I have a problem?
Also, I also picked up a Airpoort Express so I can wirelessly stream music to my Hi-Fi and I noticed that the music streams just fine but the audea for my videos just plays through the on-board speakers. Is there a switch to flip for that?
Any help will be appreciated.

I'm not sure about your first problem, as I have not had any issue with music videos, but as to your second question, the answer is no. Streaming to Airport Express only works with music, not videos.
There is a third party software out there (can't recall the name), that is supposed to be able to capture any audio output and send it to airport express. I tried it and it did not work well for my purposes, but you might try it.

How do I play iTunes Music Videos on my PC

I bought a music video on my iPad and want to play it on my Laptop.
I can't find anywhere on iTunes on my Laptop where that option comes up. I can search the same music video on the iTunes store on my laptop and it comes up for sale again.
I used to play them on my PC all the time, but haven't tried it in a year. Did the support for this get removed from iTunes for some reason?

Not sure if anyone else is having issues, but I've had more problems since I upgraded to iOS 8 and all the subsequent versions of 8 than I've ever experienced upgrading Windows on a PC, since they came out with Windows ME. Certain features in a bunch of apps stopped working, video playback freezes all the time (this is on an iPad 4), and stuff that I have just bought, regularly comes up telling me that I haven't purchased it, even though I have a receipt for it.
HELP! I really wish I could roll back to iOS7.X, even 8.1 really, really *****!

ITunes 7.6 No Audio When Playing a Music Video or Movie

I just installed iTunes 7.6.0.29 (It was released today).
There is no audio when playing a music video or a movie that I've purchased. Movie trailers and music videos in the iTunes store have no audio either. Videos from iTunes University that I've downloaded (such as an MIT lecture) play fine w/ audio.
Music audio (such as tracks I've purchased or tracks on the iTunes store) play fine.
QuickTime videos, such as a QT video on my desktop play fine. Windows Media Player works fine too.
So, why don't music videos and movies play (w/audio) on iTunes 7.6??

I'm experiencing what appears to be the exact same issue. I just installed iTunes 7.6.
Video but no audio:
Purchased iTunes TV episodes
Streamed video trailers in the iTunes Store
Works fine:
All music files, including protected files purchased through iTunes
The standalone Quicktime player performs normally with MOV files. Windows Media Player still performs normally.
I found an old support doc complaining of a similar issue with a previous iTunes release and tried the suggested fix: Uninstalling Quicktime and reinstalling it using the standalone installer (Quicktime 7.4). I also reinstalled iTunes. Neither solved the issue.
I'm very disappointed that I can no longer access the files I've purchased. I hope this is fixed very soon.

Is it possible to get itunes music videos to play or do I need to get new ipod. It works on my iPad and iPhone, but not through iPod Classic.

Are these music videos located under Videos on your iPod? Do it play other regular movies (if you have any on the device)?

Is it possible to play one music video after another in itunes/front row?

Hi all. Can anyone help me with this problem? When I use the movie part of front row to watch and listen to music vids I have front row goes back to the movie menu after each video has ended. Is it at all possible to watch one video after another without having to scroll down to the next music video after each music video has finished playing? Not sure if im being incredibly dense but any help would be greatly appreciated. I have Apple Care and they have no idea what im on about!

I've been doing some experimenting on this. I made a smart playlist in iTunes to gather all my music videos (which I have previously tagged with 'VIDEO' in the comment field).
In Frontrow, iTunes will not play the video at all- it just shows a single frame and plays the audio; in Movies, music videos, it will play one music video correctly, but then go back to the music video menu. This seems to be a known problem.
My solution is to go back to the desktop and use iTunes in the old fashioned way! Selecting my new VIDEO smart playlist will play all my music videos in any order I like using the normal parameters i.e. random, alphabetical by artist, album, name etc..

ITunes music videos playing small on full screen mode

When I select full screen to play a music video in iTunes it doesn't play full screen but its seems about half the size it should be. Please could someone tell me how to get it back to playing in full screen mode again?

Hello Amy, welcome to the Apple forums.
Where did you get the video from?
Drag your video from iTunes, on to the Desktop to copy it.
Right click on the video icon and choose "Get Info".
A long window will open on your desktop. Look in the section "More Info:" then, directly underneath, "Dimensions" there will be some numbers there such as 720x480. Post the numbers you are seeing, here. It would also be helpful to know which computer and monitor you are using.

IPad 2 playing of all music videos in the folder is not possible. You can play a music video (all purchased from iTunes) but once is finished you have to manually select another one. This defeats the whole concept of having a music video library

How could we play all music videos within the music folder in the iPad2 ? In other words, select all, choose random, and click play and all music videos will automatically play upon completion of the one been viewed without the user having to deselect another video manually (annoying interrupt).
Currently you have to choose each music video and upon completion choose the next one manually. That defeats the whole concept of a music video library.
This does not happen on previous iPad or MacBook Pro iTunes!!!!!

Thank you for the question. The best way to avoid this behavior would be to delete the music video from your library. You can always download it again free by accessing your previous purchases. To delete and item in your iTunes library, select the item and hit delete on your keyboard.

I purchased an itunes music video from the store. It does not appear in the media options in keynote. Are there restrictions on presentation in Keynote?

ITunes Music Videos Skipping in Windows 8.1

About three iTunes updates ago, I began to have chronic problems with my iTunes music videos crashing on both of my Windows XP computers. I stopped purchasing altogether. I just bought a new computer with Windows 8.1. The iTunes videos play, but the quality is not great. I can hear little skips in almost every video, like an old vinyl LP with a few scratches. The same videos play beautifully on my iPod, and I've played music DVDs on my new computer with good results. I am so disappointed that this new computer didn't completely resolve this problem with iTunes videos. Any ideas without a lot of hoop jumping?

Replying to my own post to add that it is not just the sound that skips, but the picture. It seems very random.

ITunes music videos in Vista 32-bit

I switched my iTunes library from a desktop to a laptop running Windows Vista 32-bit OS with iTunes 7.6.1.9, and I felt the easiest way would be to usde the Add Folder feature to move the entire iTunes music folder to the new library on my LAN. My problem has been, for the past few months, that my library no longer shows a music video section. All the videos I have bought are still in the music section of the library, and the videos play correctly, but I cannot watch them when exported to my iPod. I do not know if this is because of the newer version of iTunes, or because of how i transfered the files to the new computer. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That is not the problem. I have my videos section showing, and tv shows, and i have videos in both. however, my music videos only show up in the music section of the library. I can play the music videos on my computer and watch them, but when they are transferred to my iPod, there is no section for music videos. I can play them usic video file from the music section of the iPod, but it just plays the audio.

Can't play purchased music videos on my IPad

I've purchased a number of American Idol music videos via ITunes. However they will not show up nor play on my IPad. I just switched over to ICloud and still can't access or play my music videos. They play fine on my PC monitor. Any suggestions? I work in hospice and would like to share some of the music videos with my patients.

Unable to retrieve iTunes music video once minimized

When i play a music video and minimize just the video i am unable to resume video playback (can still hear it playing) even when i right click on iTunes icon on the dock and left click on now playing, the only time i can resume viewing video is if i change settings and untick minimize windows into application icon.
I always have iTunes 12.1.0 on full screen
iMac mid 2011, Yosemite 10.10.2

Try restarting your router. It occasionally helps.
Thse network issues are difficult to pin down - might be AppleTV, the computer, itunes, security software, router settings and so forth.

Airplay only streaming audio portion from iTunes music videos

ip5, ipad2 & 3 all current f/w & Apple TV2 :
Just all working correctly a little over a month or so ago. Now, can only get audio portion from music videos when Itunes Match is turned ON. Downloading music videos to local device & turning off Match on said device allows for proper a/v playback. Other: going into itunes/purchases and clicking on any purchased video will properly play to ATV2. Videos played via safari, youtube, other apps, also play just fine.
I've rest all devices, including router, nothing. Also restored AV2 & ipad3 just to make sure that the most recent firmware update to all devices was not the cause; result still the same. Friend attempted to play a music video they had on their iphone4/ipad2 and they too couldn't play a purchased iTunes Music Video properly.
Airplay is turned on on all devices.
Do people think this is a bug in the backend of Match or other? any help would be great, thank you.

What you want to do is, unfortunately, not possible. If you want to listen to just the audio for those songs you'll have to buy the audio tracks.
