Playing media error message

Hi.
I have a bb torch 9860, and currently using v7.1 bundle 1149, I also have a 16gb memory card, and sometimes when I try to play a song (any from my playlist) it appears on screen "an error has occurred attempting to play media" and of course, song is not reproduced, then it goes for the next track and shows same error message that wont stop until I press the stop button. I have no issues accessing to videos, photos, apps or any other data stored on media card.
Already tried to pull battery off, and it temporarily works, until I go ahead any other time to play a song again and error pops up again. Any ideas of how to solve this little issue and avoid battery pull every 3 days or whenever I want to play my music?

How can I export an iMove Project if the Event file was deleted? (Missing Media error message)

Deep iMovie question:
I accidentally deleted various EVENT files from my iMove EVENTS folder. Yes, they are really gone ... this is NOT a matter of restoring them from the trash.
The projects are still there ... I can still watch the projects as long as I am in iMovie ... but if I try to export the Project I get the MISSING MEDIA error message.
Logic tells me that if I can view the project ... the file has to be SOMEWHERE inside my computer ... else I couldn't be watching it ... right? I mean what am I watching if not some file somewhere which has moving pictures stored in it?
So HOW do I get to something I can export? What am I watching when I watch the project?
I have iMove 08 on iMac with OS 10.6.8
Normally works great for my simple needs ... except if you move or delete an event file ...
Can anyone out there help?

If you don't have the original files then I'm afriad you don't have anything to work with.

You are in that awful authorization loop.
Here are some steps to try.
1. Deauthorize, then reauthorize your PC - it might be using multiple authorizations and this article shows you how to fix that.

And make sure you authorize for all iTS accounts, even that old one from 3 years ago you may have forgotten about.
2. Delete the SC Info folder. The entire folder, not just the file. It will get rebuilt the next time you start iTunes. Don't forget to restart your PC, as the article says.

3. Get a free single of the week, which has the latest DRM on it, and play a few seconds of it. Sometimes the latest song of the week fixes everything.
And if that doesn't work, contact iTS support from this page - use the Contact Us button.
They will tell you to do the same things; reply back to their canned response.

All my itunes files are visible but none will play. Error message file cannot be found

All my track file names and other details are visible in Itunes but none will play. single click on a track and an exclamation mark embeds at the front of the track name bar double click or click play and the error message I get says, "The song could not be used because the original file could not be found. Would you like to locate it? A search doesn't find it.
This applys to every track on itunes but music files in the music folder in Finder still play. Can anyone Help please

Is it possible that you moved the iTunes Media folder using Finder (or renamed something along the path)? The reason this happened is because iTunes cannot find the song files where they were previously located. However, you know where they are located (in the "music folder," so you can find the files using Finder and play them.
That you need to do is to put the files back where they were previously located. If you need to change the location of the files, you can use iTunes to move the files, so that iTunes can keep track of their new locations. This article provides instructions

Missing Render files, won't play, General Error message

I have Final Cut Pro 5.0.4 on my Mac 1.8 Ghz Power PC G5, using Mac OS 10.4.10.
I just opened a Final Cut Pro project and got a message that several render files were offline. No idea how that happened, and I couldn't find them to reconnect. Now, when I try to play the video, it stops and a "General Error" message comes up.
I tried re-rendering the whole thing,and reconnected all my media files, but it still won't play. Any ideas on how to save my project?

There are just too many possibilities for us to start guessing. Try searching for GENERAL ERROR and MISSING RENDER FILES, both topics get posted often so you'll find several suggestions and possible causes. However, not many people bother to close their threads around here so there's no way to know if any of the information we passed on was of any help.
FCP 4 and 5 had the odd super-power to make files disappear as if they had never existed. General Error often indicates a corrupt project file so try to open one of your AutoSaves.

Audio plays but error message when trying to export movie.

I had several projects working great.
But then, in the finder, I renamed some of the folders that contained the audio files that were used in iMovie.
Now, the audio files are still visible in iMovie, and they still sound.
The only problem is, that there is a yellow triangle exclamation point yield sign on them,,
AND...
the movie wont export with the audio files because it claims they audio files are missing...
even tho they are still visible and playing in iMovie.
I could re-import them manually, but this would require a lot of tweak work to re synchronize them to the video.
Is there any way to get iMovie to ask my to relocate the files?
...similar to the way broken aliases are restored of missing audio files in logic?.

Are you using Adobe Reader or Adobe Acrobat to export PDF to excel?
What software version are you using?
Also ,could you please tell what is that error message and it would be wonderful if you could share the screenshot of the error message with us so that we can assist you accordingly .
I would also like to know what OS do you work on ?
Is it happening with all kinds of PDF you are trying to convert or any specific one?

Cannot play movie error message

I am trying to stream off the bbc iplayer via wi-fi onto my ipod touch.
It keeps coming up with the error message 'Cannot Play Movie'.
Any ideas please??

That means that the dock is not HDCP complient..

please kindly reply, my n900 works 100% perfect, but just wants to asked some webs sites for example live tv channels not play on my n900, when its go media player. error comes unable to play media, media not supported.? but these chanles are works on my pc .but some websites are working via media player on my n900, so i think its needs plugin or updated ..thanks

But you can use SPB TV from ovistore and also KMPLAYER(must install tv channel list.its also in testing area) in testing area for watch live TV.

Single video won't play, gives error message

I'm under a bit of a time crunch here, we're set to publish our magazine on Tuesday, and our cover video isn't working. An error pops up on the pageload, "Error the operation could not be completed." All other videos in the magazine work fine, I converted them all the exact same way.
I'm using FInal Cut Pro to edit the file into a .mp4 file, just like I have with all the other videos in the issue, but for some reason, this particular .mp4 file isn't working.
The converted video plays on the computer fine in VLC and quicktime, and every other program I have on my computer that could possibly play a video, it just doesn't work when we bring it into the DPS .folio file.
It's converted to an .mp4 h.264 format, just like all our other videos that work fine.
Any thoughts?

Thanks for the tip. It doesn't play in mobile safari. It plays on the computer fine, in all players, though. Is there a special way to encode it to make it play in MobileSafari? A certain box to check in ID that will make it work? Or are we going to have to get creative? It was sent to us as an .mov, and then exported from FinalCut Pro as an .mp4, like the rest of our videos (which all work). I'm not sure how to make it go.

Downloads on new 64 bit windows 7 pc wont play ; No error messages.

I have a new windows 7 64 bit pc and I transferred my itunes accounts (2) to this pc. I did so by deauthorizing all pc's prior to authorizing this one. Most of my new purchases download erractically. They stall when about 10-20% for several minutes with no progress and then rapidly finish in 20 seconds or so. When I go to my itunes library they appear but they either dont play at all or play for only a few seconds. Itunes has tried sending me new downloads when I report a problem but they dont play either. The strange part is that some tracks download normally and play normally.
I am at a loss. I dont know if there is a security setting wrong or some interference from windows media player.
Has anyone heard of this?

My iTunes worked properly until I upgraded it to work with my new touch. Now it won't work. Also running Win7 64 bit. I have reinstalled and tried a repair and so far nothing has worked.

Rented a movie, won't play, gets error message. Running latest version of AppleTV2.

After renting a movie it shows up as rented with 29 days to go, but when I hit play I get An error occurred while loading this content. Try again later. I've checked my time zone - ok, logged out of iTunes and back in, rebooted AppleTV. Still can't play movie. Any thoughts on what to do next? And, how can I get a refund on this rental if it won't play?

I appreciate you're frustrated with the situation but it's hardly 'Snarky' telling you the truth regarding your specific comment. I've offered an answer elsewhere - I've just checked and it still lists Apple TV rental for me, though the item may not appear if you've not had the e-mail detailing your purchases yet.
In iTunes on your computer log into your account.
Under Account Information>Purchase History it should list your purchases.
Select the problem purchase/purchases form the list, and it should list them with 'Report a Problem' as a button to click on the bottom.

How do I deal with the "Getting Media" error message?

I am new to PhotoShop Elements 10 and am in the process of learning to import and catagorize pictures. To date I have imported about 50 pictures. About a week ago, I scanned a picture and got the following message entitled "Getting Media" Basically it said the following.
Nothing was imported. The file(s) or folder(s) selected to import did not contain any supported file types, or the file(s) are already in this folder.
Reason: The file exists in the catalog.
File: C:/Users/Liz/AppData/Local/Te...2014-2-19-0823/imaged.Jpeg
I cannot fild the picture in the catalog or even in my computer. (Which doesn't mean it's not there!) I have also searched through the HELP files and found nothing that I recognized as relevant. I checked with Epson, and we deemed that the scanner works.
I don't know if this is relevant, but the last time the process of getting the pictures was when I imported pictures from my camera.

"Selection contains no media" error message in compressor any ideas??

“Selection contains no media”
This is a message I get often when I try to export from compressor 2.. There is media.. The way around it is to copy the selection and paste it into a new project...
Any ideas on what wrong??

Your IN and OUT points are not set for in the sequence. Use your UP arrow to get to the start of the sequence and use 'I' to inset your IN and go to the end of sequence and mark with 'O'. All should be fine now with compressor.
