Playing videos in music?

Hi. I remember a couple months ago, I did something with a video of mine and it allowed me to play it with my other songs (I gave it 5 stars and it would come up on shuffle in My Top Rated as though it was another song) but now I have another video I would like to do it with and I forgot how. So.... Does anybody know? I would greatly appreciate any help! Thanks!
P.S. I am more worried about doing this on my iPod than in iTunes. I just want to know how to change it in iTunes so that it works when I sync my iPod.

Sorry, I forgot to tell everyone how the bug exactly is.
The song will not be played, and the screen will display "1 of 0" songs!
How incredible! "1 of 0" songs!
But the biggest problem is that, this bug will not appear everytime.

I have had this happen to me on 3GS, 4 and 4s. Usually the solution is one of the following:
1- If your volume indicator says headphones even though they are not plugged in, then:
Stick your headphones into the headphone jack and then remove quickly.
2. If that does not work Power your phone off. Then when restarting Reset the phone by pressing the home button and the power button at the same time until the apple logo appears.
3. Make sure you have not chosen to send audio to an Airplay device such as Apple Tv.

Lock screen while playing videos and music?

iPhone 4 iOS 7.1.2 (up to date), no SiM card installed.
This is an old iPhone I use to play videos and music for my daughter (2 years). She watches the video, but tends to too=uch the screen because that's what kids do. This pauses the video, or sends the phone to the home screen. Is there a way to lock out the screen while the video plays so that only the home button will pause the video?

Set a passcode that controls the use of Guided Access and prevents someone from leaving a session

Start a Guided Access session. Open the app you want to run, then triple-click the Home button. Adjust settings for the session, then click Start.
Disable app controls and areas of the app screen: Circle any part of the screen you want to disable. Use the handles to adjust the area.
Enable the Sleep/Wake or Volume buttons: Tap Options and turn on the buttons.
Ignore all screen touches: Turn off Touch.
Keep iPhone from switching from portrait to landscape or from responding to any other motions: Turn off Motion.
End a Guided Access session. Triple-click the Home button, enter the Guided Access passcode, and tap End.

Playing videos on Music app.

Since I downloaded upgrade, I cannot see music videos on Music app. I can see them one by one on the Video app, but when I create a playlist in order to shuffle the videos (for when I run), they cannot be seen. I can see them on iTunes and Video app, but not on playlist. I can see them when I click add and done, they come up as if I were deleting them with the red circle next to them. When I click done again (not selecting to delete), the list goes blank and I cannot select them. I might sell my iPod and switch to another player if this is not fixed.

I agree with you G-Daddy. I just bought Alpocolypse and it has several music videos at the end. On my iPhone it will play all of the songs and then play the music videos. Not so on the iPad.
Someone will probably make an App for that, if Apple lets it through.

I accepted the opportunity to upgrade firefox only last week (9th June 2012) and now I can;t play video, I subscribe to a music learning site and it now asks me to upgrade to most recent version of Flash, I have done that and my videos still will not play, If I use Chrome, I have no problems, Firefox has ruined my system HELP.

Does the Adobe test page confirm that Flash is installed?

Pad 1 won't play video or music

Pad 1st gen won't play music or videos ...

Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
If you post back and say that didn't work, I will not be surprised. You provided no information whatsoever that might be useful in trying to help. So when you post back, provide some details.

Quicktime not playing video or music......

I was having problems with Quicktime so I had to uninstall it, update Direct X, and reinstall it. It works now when i directly open up Quicktime but if a website has a song or video that plays with Quicktime, it wont play at all. Can you help me? The Quicktime version is 6.5.2

Because you're using QT 6.5.2 you can't view all QuickTime content. Quite a lot of pages are now using H.264 video and it can't be viewed using 6.5.2.

Airplay is a wireless streaming protocol. It allows content to be pushed from the iPad through the Apple TV onto your connected HDTV.
If she wants to see the iPad displayed on the big screen and/or play games that involves mirroring. As long as it's an iPad 2 (or later) then you will be fine. More info on both has been referened below

Purchased videos and music not playing on ipod

i purchased some music and videos, while using my wifes powerbook g4, loaded them onto my ipod (which i had setup using my pc) now i see the music and videos and when i try playing them the music shows up then goes to the next song. the videos just go to a black screen.
now i have loaded my cd's onto my wifes powerbook and have been able to play them on my ipod no problem. just the purchased music/videos from itunes, is not playing
what did i do wrong.

Did you update the firmware on the iPod? Supposibly if fixes a few bugs.

If you didn't then try that. Believe me your problem is not with not using that CD as I never even popped the disk in my CD drive untill after I had updated my iPod as the software was outdated before it arrived at my house.

How do i get music videos to play like the music does on my ipad, for example one right after another and shuffle

I need to know how I can get the music videos on my IPad to play like the music does. What I mean id setting up a playlist, shuffle, and have them play one right after another instead of going back to the main screen.

At the top of the playlist where it shows the playlist title and the number of songs, there are two icons. Click the "play" triangle to add the entire playlist to "Up Next", or the "shuffle" symbol to do the same thing but in random order. But the currently playing track will stop playing, and all the songs in "Up Next" will be removed (replaced by the ones from this playlist).
If you hold down the "option" key while clicking those icons, the currently playing song will continue playing, and the new playlist will be added to "Up Next" (above the songs that were already there).

Actually, i figured part of it out. When I'm playing itunes to my Apple Tv and Airport Express stations around the house, then turn on the mirroring, the itunes volume bar goes all the way to zero. I can bring it back up manually, and it will play on Apple TV, but it won't broadcast to multiple Airport Express speakers, the way it was doing before I turned on mirroring. It seems that mirroring turns off the airport express stations.

Quicktime or Quicktime Pro (which iTunes uses) don't convert "muxed" ( muxed means multiplexed where the audio and video are stored on the same track) video files properly. It only plays the video and not the audio.

Yes, I updated to iTunes 7. Just noticed today that my iPod will not play any purchased music or music videos. It looks like it is about to play then returns to the previous screen.

Guys I have the same problem.
Since I installed iTunes 10.5 I can't play any of my music videos downloaded from the iTunes store.
I can play music ok but no videos. I just click on the videos and nothing happens!!
