Playing youtube h264 (html5 mode), always blurry video

Html5 player, H264 format.
In h264, all videos a little blurry.
If you i use a flash or vp9(html5 player) it's all right, everything is clear.
Here are two screen to compare:

<blockquote>
Did you check that you get the same resolution
</blockquote>
Yes, the resolution is the same.
No matter what resolution in h264 (html5), always blurry video, as provided in the picture.
But if video in vp9, then there is no blur, video clear and sharp.
For the test, I checked out the video in chrome and Opera browsers, html5 mode (h264), the picture there is the same as the link "(flash h264)" in first post.
I hope it then change for the better(future firefox builds), watch this blurring is not particularly pleasant.

    What a bummer.
Now I'm stuck with a just-about useless camera. I really need something as small as the FH1 (it's TINY).
Hard-drive camcorders record MPG2, which I assume makes them just as useless.
Is then MiniDV the only choice for a sub-$500 1080i/p camera that will allow me to edit footage without converting?
If so, any tips on the smallest one out there?
Google came up with Sony's DCR-PC55, but it's four years old and only does SD...
Do you want good OR do you want cheap? That is the decision you need to make. Also, tiny tends to be the opposite of good.
P.S. AIC converted it best; ProRes(Lo/HQ) left it pixelated for playback. But it takes about an hour a minute, and increases the file-size tenfold, so it's no good anyway.
Yes, your actual editable video file is going to be 10x bigger than a MPEG-4 file. That is what you want.
P.S. 2 "....FCP is converting your video behind the scenes which is causing all your problems."
If that's the case, then my oldish MacBook Pro (2GHz Duo, 2GB RAM) has enough juice to play the 640x480 MPG4 clips smoothly, but not the HD ones. Could the latest MacBook (2.5/6/8GHz, 8GB RAM) could play the 1080p30 clips smoothly?
No, you still have the same problem. MPEG-4 files are non-editable. You really need to convert to an editable format and then bring that into FCP. MPEG Streamclip is going to be your best choice.

  • Safari in 64-bit mode on Snow Leopard does not play YouTube videos

Recently Safari stopped playing youtube videos while Safari is in 64-bit mode. The entire page renders correctly; however the area where the video is supposed to play remains a black box without controls. I can watch video from other sites, or I can watch video from youtube if I use another browser like firefox. Additionally, I can go to the youtube video owner's channel and view videos there just fine. It's only when I try to view videos that use the "http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=" method of displaying a video using Safari in 64-bit mode that it fails to play -- it plays fine with Safari in 32-bit mode.

It's not !. Flash player 10.1 is no better (as you can verify by downgrading here http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/142/tn_14266.html)

  • When I try to play youtube video I get the message of blocked plug-in, and I can not play video using Safari. (Youtube works fine with google chrome) I tried installing flash player HTML5 etc... but still no difference.

I just installed OSX Mountian Lion, and ever since then I can not play youtube video's. I get the message of 'Blocked Plug-in' in the youtube screen. I have tried installing Adobe Flash Player. HTML 5, also tried enabling/disabling java, but nothing worked out. Is there any way I can play youtbe vieos on Safar. (It works fine with Google Chrmoe, only safari has problem)

If you have the ClickToFlash extension installed, that can prevent Flash based video from streaming. Safari > Preferences > Extensions
It can also be installed as a plugin in /Library/Internet-Plug-Ins.
Try uninstalling the currently installled Flash plugin (required for most YouTube content) then reinstall new >  Troubleshoot Flash Player | Mac OS
From your Safari menu bar top of your screen click Safari > Preferences then select the Advanced tab.
Select:  Show Develop menu in menu bar
Now from the menu bar click Develop > Empty Caches

  • Safari randomly stopped playing Youtube videos

Just the other day Safari stopped playing Youtube videos. I have tried running safari in 32bit mode but nothing. I would appreciate any info or help, thanks.

I went to http://www.youtube.com/html5 and found that I was part of the HTML5 trial for YouTube and that YouTube videos should be playing via HTML5 and not Flash.
I left the HTML5 trial so that the video were being played by nasty old Flash... Guess what, it works.
Videos are now playing normally using Flash.
My suggestion is go to http://www.youtube.com/html5 and see if you are part of the HTML5 trial also, if you are, leave the trial and see how you go.

  • N79 is not playing youtube videos

hey guys i got n79 and i am playing youtube on it via web and it do not play for a second, what should i do? (I am familiar with youtube app)

You may be able to find a more recent version of SeaMonkey-PPC, that could support the last Flash player for Leopard 10.5.8 from the Adobe flash archive downloads. Another browser that works OK is iCab, it will run in demo mode with few restrictions, or pay and get a license.
TenFourFox browser is a good build, but has flash and java turned off by default, so you'd have to reconfigure it for them to work. They'd use whatever versions were last supported or available for your vintage OS X.
Some of the video content in Youtube could be Flash
and other authored content may use HTML5.
Web sites also use HTML5 for youtube and some other video content. Youtube has a player download for use with a few of the browsers out there, but not sure if that'd help. https://www.youtube.com/html5

  • Omniweb is not playing Youtube videos

    Hi:
I have an iBook G4 running 10.5.6 and I'm using Omniweb 5.11.2 as my browser. Up until yesterday everything was fine. Then I logged on to Youtube and Omniweb wouldn't play any of the videos. Youtube still runs fine on my old Camino browser however. Any ideas on what might be wrong? The only thing I've changed lately is that I installed an extra gig of RAM. But Omniweb worked fine on Youtube after that until recently.
    Thanks

  • I have windows 8.1 and firefox won't play youtube videos but IE will

I have windows 8.1 and firefox won't play youtube videos but IE will. I have tried reinstalling firefox, flash, java. Resetting firefox don't help, disabled hardware acceleration, protected mode 0 in the mms.cfg file. Nothing will play on youtube in firefox. It says "an error has occured, please try again later". The ads play fine though. Everything plays fine in IE. I have tried different versions of flash also with no luck. I even restored the system to a previous iso image with no luck. Does anyone have a solution?

It maybe because your javascript is disabled .
You can check the javascript.enabled pref on the about:config page.
    http://kb.mozillazine.org/about:config
There are also extensions that can block JavaScript or otherwise interfere.

    Or,
    "Clear the Cache":
Firefox > Preferences > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
Firefox > Preferences > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Start Firefox in [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode Safe Mode] to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • Safari Does Not Play Youtube Videos

    Hi,
I updated safari to the latest version (6.1.2) on my MacBook Pro (10.7.5) and now it does not play any Youtube videos at all. All I get is a black space instead of a video - neither video nor audio.
Does anyone know how to resolve the issue?
    Best,
    maybug

Go step by step and test.
    1. System Preferences > Other/ Flash Player > Advanced >  Delete  All
         Press the "Delete All" button
         Install Adobe Flash Player.
        http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
        Follow the prompts.  Quit Safari.
        Restart computer. Relaunch Safari.
    2.  Allow  Plug-ins
        Safari > Preferences > Security
        Internet Plug-ins >  "Allow  plug-ins"
        Enable it.
Press " Manage Website Settings" button for more options.
    3. Check  whether you are currently  in  YouTube HTML 5 trial.
         http://www.youtube.com/html5
At the bottom  left of the page  uncheck the box beside
"You are currently in the HTML5 trial".
    4. Reset Safari.
Click Safari in the menu bar.
From the drop down select "Reset Safari".
Uncheck the boxes beside all items.
Check the box beside "Remove all website data".
        Click "Reset".
    5. Turn off Extensions, if any.
        Safari > Preferences > Extensions
         Now try YouTube.

  • Why does Mac Safari stutter playing YouTube videos?

While playing YouTube videos (or other streaming videos) in Safari
using both Snow Leopard and Lion, the video's stutter and stop.
When I use the Google Chrome browser, the videos play perfectly.
I can find no way to set the buffering values.
I don't feel that this is a hardware or network problem.
This is very annoying, Apple please fix this.
    An example video:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch_popup?v=Yfbchq0xQmQ&vq=medium#t=

You posted in the correct forum...  Most YouTube content requires the Flash plugin. Try troubleshooting.
    Quit Safari.
Open System Preferences > Flash Player then select the Storage tab. Click: Delete All
Now uninstall the Flash plugin then reinstall new >  Troubleshoot Flash Player | Mac OS'
Very important to uninstall the currently installed Flash plugin first before reinstalling.
Launch Safari From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Empty Cache
    Now try a video.
BTW... if you have the ClickToFlash extension installed, that can prevent Flash based video from streaming. It can also be installed as a plugin in /Library/Internet-Plug-Ins.
And check to see if Safari is running in 32 bit mode. Right or control click the Safari icon in your Applications folder then click Get Info. If the box next to:  Open in 32 bit mode  is selected, deselect, quit then relaunch Safari.
BTW, this is not an Apple issue. Flash is third party software for which Apple is not responsible for developing or updating. That's Adobe's job.

  • My BB Curve 3G 9300 can't play youtube videos on 3G network

I'm having problems watching youtube videos. I open the youtube app, search and select the video I want to watch. When the video tries to load, it shows a message saying "cannot find web address. Verify that this web address is valid." This happens when the signal is 3G (with the BB logo), even if it is at full strength.
It plays normally when I'm connected via wi-fi, but I'm not always in a wi-fi zone. It also plays when the signal is EDGE (no BB logo) but loads too slowly and plays choppy with too much buffering. Therefore, I need it to play when I'm connected via 3G. Soft and hard resets do not solve the problem.
I called my service provider (Globe) and they told me there's no problem with my account, settings, their signal/area of coverage and system or anything else. So they suggested that the youtube application needs to be uninstalled and reinstalled. Is this what I really have to do? How can this be done? I can't find the same youtube app in the BB App World. There are youtube apps there but not the same kind. What should I do?
Here's some info about my device:
    - BlackBerry Curve 3G 9300
    - Country: Philippines
    - Carrier: Globe
    - OS 6
    - Youtube app  1.0.0.40

Same issue here under EDGE. When turning on wifi, it does work. This is strange since it only started to happen a few days ago. Before that, I could stream youtube videos to my curve flawlessly under EDGE.

  • Why won't my macbook pro play youtube videos?

Why wont my macbook pro play youtube videos????
I bought this over the summer and it's now Nov 28th. I've had it with this thing and nobody is answering my question! Please help!
I reset safari, emptied my cache, cleared my history, uninstalled and re-installed flash player and nothing has helped. In fact, un/reinstalling flash player worsened the problem. And I cannot update it becuase it says "not recognized".
I do have avast anti-virus: but I can't fix the warnings in it (after I scan, some warnings popup and it wont let me fix it and I have no idea where to find it in the computer itself). Does this have anything to do with it? I need virus protection, so I dont want to get rid of it.
I do not have the money to buy firefox (and it's never worked for me ever anyways).
I know it's not my internet because my dad's pc works great and my sister's mac (for school) loads youtube videos instantly.
I also have this annoying issue where every page on the interned needs to be reloaded three times before itll load the first time. It sits there for five minutes and does nothing, then I reload the page and BAM its loaded: EXCEPT YOUTUBE.
For a $1400 machine, I'd like to know what and why this is happening.

Perhaps there is something wrong with your software and/or a corrupt cache file outside of the browser.
I reset safari, emptied my cache, cleared my history, uninstalled and re-installed flash player and nothing has helped. In fact, un/reinstalling flash player worsened the problem. And I cannot update it because it says "not recognized".
Hmm hard to tell what's causing this. May have to do a process of elimination to cure everything on the machine.

Uninstall the anti-virus, they always cause issues on Mac's.
You say you need anti-virus, so install the free ClamXav, it's a program you run as you need it, because 99% of the malware out there is for Windows and won't run on a Mac, thus you can just run ClamXav when you need it on where you need it. Won't bugger up the machine.
I do not have the money to buy firefox (and it's never worked for me ever anyways).
Firefox is a free web browser by the open source community, it's very powerful and highly customizable with more add-ons, extensions, personas, themes than any other browser. Some things  can be done on Firefox can't be done on any other browser at all. Certainly for someone who is a bit more seasoned to use it fully.

You mentioned your "dad" and you've mentioned a delay loading pages and not YouTube at all.
Are you by any chance the Administrator of the computer? Can you install Firefox if you wanted too just as a experiment or does it ask for a Admin name and password and you can't provide it?
"Nannyware" has the ability to block sites and slow down page draws as it's consulting with the nannyware company if that site is suitable to be loaded on your machine.
If your are the Admin of the machine, then your going to have to methodically go through the fix it list I've generated here to resolve your issue as I cant' tell what's causing your problem specifically behind a screen.
If it's too much for you, take the machine to a local Mac/PC software repair shop and they can fix you up.
I suspect by #12 your machine will be fixed.

    Environment:
windows 7 enterprise 32 bit (System meets requirements for flash player)
Workstation part of an AD Domain
    Occurs on all workstations
Using a proxy to access the internet (this is not the problem as chrome works fine and HTML5 works fine)
    Flash Player 11.8
    Browsers: IE 8, IE9, IE10, FireFox, Chrome
    Chrome plays videos fine
HTML5 Player plays fine in all browsers
IE8, 9, and 10 do not play videos; it starts to play then loops then dies with youtube error message
FireFox does not play youtube videos same as IE
I tried all solutions found on the internet, adjusting browser settings or uninstalling and reinstalling flash none of it worked.
    solution down grade flash player

    "Chrome plays videos fine

Chrome has its own embedded Flash Player - the installed version DOESN'T affect it.
    HTML5 DOESN'T use Flash (It's MP4 or webm)

Download the Adobe Flash Player installer directly by clicking the following links.

  • Why when trying to play YouTube videos does it tell me I need JavaScript and adobe flash player but phone doesn't support

Get error message when trying to play YouTube video's say phone don't support adobe flash player but sometimes it plays them

This is because the html5 player will load the video by default. I have noticed lately that some channels required flash player. Do you have an example video by chance for further investigation?

  • Firefox won't play Youtube videos or media videos

It is 2 am and for almost a month now Firefox has slowly been degrading to the point of being completely and utterly useless. First, vine videos went. Then the weather.com videos stopped working. Every video based website online has stopped working right up to youtube finally cracking out today.
Videos won't play. I run firefox in safe mode and STILL, videos show up as a black screen. I tried turning off 'hardware acceleration' in flash, still nothing. I tried clearing the cache, history, deleting firefox altogether and reinstalling.
I'm running Windows Vista. Using Chrome, every video based site runs impeccably so it is definitely a Firefox conflict. I should probably just stop using firefox altogether, but I've been running it for years and it's what I'm used to. I'm getting down right sick of this though.
    Things I have tried:
    -Running in safe mode: Nothing
    -Clearing the cache/history: Nothing
-Disabling add-ons one by one: Nothing
-Disabling hardware acceleration on Flash: Nothing
I don't know what else to do anymore.

Update your Flash player. It is currently blocked because you have a vulnerable/blocked version installed.
