Playlist - customize columns

Is there a way to customise columns in a playlist in NokiaOviSuite? I wan to add columns like song playtime, file name (vs. song name), etc. I also want to re-order the columns.

HOW CAN I APPLY the same COLUMN HEADINGS to ALL playlists I have???
Unfortunately you can't.
The script Assimilate View Options can apply the View Options of the library to your 'normal' playlists.
This does not work for Smart Playlists however.

example we added a column and passes through custom expression and passed to target it worked fine for full load.
but when the code move to QA we found defect that some of the data is not loaded. we are unable to get the updated data for customize columns.(not incremental load using DAC)
In documnet it was mentioned to add to update logic port. can any one help us in this issue.

Customize columns in "save as..." dialog?

In the finder, you can customize the columns that show up in list view (e.g. size, type, etc).
However, if you make those changes they are not reflected in the "open" or "save as..." dialog from within an application (I checked in firefox or safari or ms office).
Is there a way to do this?

Not any way I know of. AFAICT, you'll only get Name and Last Modified. The default can be changed from list view to column view (retains last used setting—I only use list view, so you'll have to experiment).

Issue using Tools- Options- Result to Text to customize column delimiter

Hi all,
I need to export a large dataset (greater than 6 GB) to text file.
Since the dataset contains special characters, I cannot use Import and Export Wizard to export it into text file. (Error Message).
So I used Tools --> Options --> Result to Text. However, I cannot actually customize the delimiter.
First of all, I can only enter one character as the delimiter, and thus no character combination allowed.
Secondly, I entered # and ^ as the customized delimiter. Neither of them worked. The delimiter is always | (pipe), which does not work well for my dataset.
Does anybody have the same experience? Please help.

You don't need to do a replace, I think it will complicate the things.
Use the Import-Export Wizard to export the data.
If you have "|" in your data still you can go ahead and use the pipe character as delimiter. However in that case you should mention the text qualifier which will be used to enclose each column value.
This can be a single or many characters.
and here is how my output looked like after I exported the below table
create table TestExport(id int identity(1,1), textdata varchar(100))
insert into TestExport values('Some|deletimete~data');
I used " (double quote) as the text qualifier here
Here you will be able to distinguish between the actual delimiter and the delimiter character appearing in the data.
While exporting the data into the another data destination(I am assuming you are not going to sit and read a 6GB text file:) ), you can mention the same text qualifier and import the data

Customize columns in performance view legends

When we create performance view, it has two panes. Top pane contains the chart or graph and bottom pane contains the legends. The legends have column like show, color, Path, Target, Rule etc. I have couple of questions regarding legends pane:
1. Can we customize the legends columns name. For example can we hide or rename the column?
2. Can we change the position of columns?

Can't customize columns for individual mailbox?

Hi,
This may be a silly question, but I'm new to mac.
I imported my old inbox and sent folder from Outlook Express on PC to Mail in one batch. So Mail created two mailboxes for "Inbox" and "Sent" under account (or folder) named "Imported". But I can't figure out how to customize the displayed columns for each mailbox individually. For example, I want to display "From/Subject/Date Received" for "Inbox", but "To/Subject/Date Sent" for "Sent". But it just won't allow me do that. Both mailboxes can only have the same column selections. It is just so annoying.
Is it possible to have different columns, or it is just the way Mail should work?

Customize Column Name in Drillthrough Action

When we do the Drillthrough Action, the data is displayed with the column name like this :
[$Test_Dim_Customer].[theCustomerId]
It is really bad look.
I want to display like this : [theCustomerId]
But don't know how.
I read the sample from Microsoft, and see the result as I expect.

How can I add a column to show the website (web site) of an rss feed?

I've got a lot of rss feeds coming into thunderbird. I organized some into folders, but also have a folder for several rss feeds as they adress the same topics and I prefer not to browse through 25 separate folders. However, the sender doesn't always make it clear which blog it's from, so I'd like to add a column which shows the website of the rss feed. (sender is often: [email protected], and there are different writers for a single blog who themselve have their own blog as well, so can't sort on sender name either).
When opening an rss feed, it displays in the header: web site (with the space) and then the web adress. This is what I'd like to be able to see in my columns.
I didn't see an option yet to customize columns, nor did I find an addon that does this.
Does anyone know a solution?

Thanks, that seems to work. I'm struggling to place the lightbox at the top of the page however - when I click the trigger I want the menu image to display anchored to the top of the page, but there's always a gap as it centers the image. Help is appreciated!

Problem adding a Content Presenter in a Panel Customizable

I've created a Webcenter page template and specified Three panelCustomizable components under a pageCustomizable. In fact, i want to have three consistent customizable columns in my page template. The problem is, when adding a contentPresenter in edit mode to one of these panelCustomizable, it does not work correctly. It doesn't show the content add toolbar. In my log, i've a the following exception :
java.lang.IllegalStateException: The expression "#{bindings.rbipyXViYPx1.regionModel}" (that was specified for the RegionModel "value" attribute of the region component with id "oc_6020088695region1") evaluated to null.
This is typically due to an error in the configuration of the objects referenced by this expression.
If it helps, the expression "#{bindings.rbipyXViYPx1}" evaluates to "null".
If it helps, the expression "#{bindings}" evaluates to "com_mhis_portal_MH_Template_HomePagePageDef". Now using an empty RegionModel instead.

I realized that a content presenter works correctly when it is added to a panelCustomizable that was added in a facet in the page file *(not facet ref in the page template, but the facet in the page*).
I tried then to add the panelCustomizable to the facet ref in the page template but it seems that jDeveloper doesn't like that !
Is there any way to have a panelCustomizable component in the page template that enable adding correctly a content presenter in edit mode ?

I know this document but it explains how to do a ODBC driver with Oracle. I have SQL Server 2005, but I don't know if my problem is with these...
My problem is that when I go to import my database I can import all my database not one single table...so..the first time that I have to create a repository works fine for me...but when I want to add a new table in my repository I have to import all database again and overwriting all my old tables (whole diagram, names...etc..)
I would like to see structure of my database when I go to import database...

Show bpm column in music list?

I have a list of songs that I'd like to sort by bpm (I have already added the bpm info via another program). Is there any way to sort by bpm (or tempo)? Its not an option in any of the column options but I would think this is something that would be available. I'm just trying to create a mix of a bunch of songs and I'd like to have the bpm displayed somewhere. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Using the latest (2014) version of Audition on an iMac running Mavericks. thanks!

Select the playlist, menu View > View options.
Tick Beats per minute.
When you create a new playlist, the columns used are copied from the Library view.

The subject column

I am using macbook pro built in mail. the list of received e mails show the sender, the time and the attachments, but is not showing the subject of the E mail. I right clicked the header and the drop down list to choose what columns to show do not seem to have a subject. does any one know how to view the subject in the list, or is it not available. thanks.

interesting. the subject column is indeed missing from the list of customizable columns. I assume that means that it should always be present. if you don't have it your Mail preferences are likely corrupt. quit Mail and delete (or move to the desktop) the file ~/library/preferences/com.apple.mail.plist. ~ means your home directory. you can get to it by clicking on the house icon in the sidebar of any finder window or by going to /users/username.
then start Mail. you'll have to recreate all your email accounts so make sure you know all their settings. once recreated they will recognize their existing mailboxes. see if Mail behaves after that.
Alternatively, if you have a backup, restore com.apple.mail.plist from backup from before the problems with Mail started. Mail should not be running when you do this.

Locate songs which are on 1 playlist

Hello, I'm curious if there is a way to get a list of songs which are on more than one playlist?
I can right-click on particular song and choose "Show in playlist", but I would like to have a smart playlist or column with ability to sort out all songs at once.

There isn't a way to show that information, either as an additional column, or to pick it out with smart playlist rules. In principle you could create a script that processes each track and counts the number of playlists it is a member of and then does something with that information such as adding to another list, or setting an otherwise unused field with the result.

Restoring the "Classical Music" smart playlist

At some point I must have deleted the specially formatted "Classical Music" playlist that appeared in iTunes 9, probably because I had like two pieces of classical music on my laptop and didn't need the playlist taking up real estate (I left it on another computer). Well, now I've got more on this computer and I'd like it back.
Subsequent upgrades of iTunes have not brought it back. Is there something I can tweak to make this come back, or perhaps a template I can download, or bring over from another computer? (just the playlist format, not the contents) I can see the playlist on the other computer, but when looking at it via library sharing it's not the same format, but is instead just a plain old playlist with plain old columns. It's really the special formatting with Composer and whatnot that I'm interested in.

Thanks for the rules. That was helpful in getting the general selection of songs into the playlist, but then there's something else going on in how it displays and sorts them that I can't manage to reproduce. As you can probably see when you select that playlist, the column heads in the track info area, left to right, are Composer, Grouping, and then the more familiar number, Name, Artist, Time etc. It will display tracks based first on what's selected in Composer, then on Grouping (which is used for a "work" like a symphony or concerto that doesn't necessarily align with an album, or which you could have multiple artists doing different versions of).
But I can't get the columns to work the same way through the normal dropdown list of columns. I can get all the same elements, but not in that order: nothing will go to the left of Name or the number.

Is there a facility to more easily sync music my four Apple devices and my wife's three Apple devices without the horrid iTunes error messages when there is nothing wrong with our connection?

We’ve been using iTunes Match pretty much since the beginning, but recently my wife has turned it off and refused to re-subscribe. I’m fast getting to the same place. It just seems so unstable, wishing Apple would invest some of their billions into it. I read with dismay how many people find Google Play to be so much better. As I write this I see a “Cannot connect to iTunes store” on my iPhone. Noting wrong with our connection … it’s alive and well.
Bearing in mind that I have two Macs, an iPhone and an iPad and my wife has a Mac, iPhone and iPad what we really want is the following.
I want all our music to go up to one location (iCloud or even better our own server). I want an app or web app that I see on the right hand side a list of artists or albums (or playlists) and columns for each device. I want to be able to tick the “matrix” to specify which devices the artist/album/playlist should be downloaded to. When the device is switched on, it must download (no fuss no bother and no stupid I-can’t-do-anything-about error message). A nice enhancement would be to specify three options for each entity (Download, Stream, Not Available). There must be options to easily bulk select.
So … is there such a thing out there?
In my immediate family plus spouses and kids girlfriends/boyfriends there are 11 Macs, three iPads and 10 iPhones. My brothers are very similar. I have nieces and nephews that use Apple. My parents also use Apple. Collectively, we have a bunch of Apple equipment.
Did I mention I'd like it to be stable?

Unless you have EE 4G service the UK 3G networks are the base of your problem - they are just far to variable in download and streaming speeds.
Add to the fact that use can/will eat into your Data usage !
ITunes Match as a service is pretty experimental at best over 3G and really i think so long as you have a 32GB or larger iOS device sync'ing via iTunes on a PC/Mac remains the best way to transfer music.
Remember even with iTune Match your music is STILL ON your own PC/Mac HDD !
Usng the devices tab in iTunes you can customize each differing identified iOS device and load as you please.
When we have a competitively priced stable and extensive LTE network in the UK then reconsider Match at that point.

How can I print a list of iTunes albums only, without songs?

Itunes offers printing of albums but, what I get is a list of my 500 classical music albums and all the songs/tracks therein. Whereas I want to print only an alphabetical list of my albums, no songs. Better yet I would like to print a list of all my playlists (left column) which no longer seems possible.

Make sure you have set the pulldown to "List of Albums" as pictured by Mr. McBlob. It is working fine on iTunes 11.1 on my machine.
It should give you a list of albums. The printout will indicate the "# Items" for each album, but will not list song titles.
