Playlist Deleted when edited

I have 2 playlists that are now not showing up on my phone... in both cases, it happened when I added a some new songs to the playlist on my computer. In other words, whenever I changed the playlist, it disappeared from my phone... I have updated iTunes Match several times, and it has been a couple of weeks (so it is not that I am not being patient). How can I get those playlists to show up on my phone?
Also, is there a way to see what is on the cloud online... when i sign in to icloud, there is no place to "see" your music.

Stop using the "update iTunes Match" command. It does not push information to the cloud; it pulls from the cloud and tells iTunes to use that data.
You need to know what the iCloud Status is of the items in the playlist. Switch to Song view and pull down View > View Options and select "iCloud Status" then close the small window. See if any items are "ineligible" or "waiting." This can cause a playlist to not show up in the cloud.

If you have AppleCare on your iPhone then call Apple, it's baically the only way you will get help on that front. Tell them about the issues. After a little while of trouble shooting they should pass you to a senior technician.
What trouble shooting have you done?
If you haven't done so already, Apple will request you to do it while they have you on the phone. Also, do not restore from a backup, set it up as a new device.

Can't Delete Non-Editable Region in Template?

Well, I can in existing templates but if I create a new one from an existing page using "Save as Template", when I try to delete a non-editable region in the template, DW won't let me. I don't know why. Aaaargh!
It's my understanding I should be able to edit anything in a template. I've tried existing DW and restarting. I've tried using other pages as a basis for the template. Every template I create won't let me delete non-editable regions. I'm highlighting the non-editable region and pressing the delete key. I can't delete.

Trust me, it is. I'm wondering if the problem is associated with the fact that the source page that I saved as a template was based on a template? I just noticed that this new template refers to another template. I'm thinking that means the other template is controlling what I'm trying to do in the current template.
That's it. I just tried saving a template under a different name (still retaining the correct template file extension) but did not do the save as template. Now I can completely edit that template. So you if you save a page that is controled by a template, as a template, that new template is controlled by the previous template.
I've got a headache now.

How do I get Integer in JTable cell to be selected when edit using keyboard

I have some cells in a JTable, when I double-click on the cell to edit it the current value (if any) is selected and is replaced by any value I enter, which is the behaviour I want. But when I use the keyboard to navigate to the cell and start editing, new values are added to the end of the current value which is not what I want.
I have created my own IntegerCellEditor (see below) and added a focus event or the textfield used when editing to select all the current text but it has no effect, any ideas please ?

Videos not playing continuous in playlist, like when songs r played, help?

Hi, i keep experiencing an annoying problem of my videos in music video playlist not playing continuous. by that i mean they play one by one going back to playlist menu when each vid is finished so i have to manually forward to the next one. This Music Vid playlist is a default in iTunes already created. I find the only way i can play vids cont. is to click the reset all settings button and i shouldnt have to keep doing that as it messes up everything else. Can anyone help? thanks

I was having the same problems! I could not get my
videos to play continuosly. I did a search for
'Continuos Video Play' and went back to some posts in
Dec '06 and I found out, that when your Shuffle
Setting is set to Shuffle, then your videos will not
play continuosly. Who would have ever thought that?
So I tried it and IT WORKED!

It sounds like there may be some disconnect between the phone and the computer. Could be a number of things going on, but one way I've been able to fix this issue on several occasions is by completely removing all of the music from the iPhone (Settings > General > Usage > Storage > Manage Storage > Music > swipe 'All Songs' to the left and tap 'Delete') and then re-syncing it from iTunes all at once. Be sure to disconnect your phone from the computer and close iTunes first. Keep in mind that any songs that are on the phone but are NOT in the iTunes library will not be synced over after you delete them from the phone. If the songs on the phone were purchased from the iTunes Store you can transfer them to the computer's iTunes library by connecting the phone to iTunes then selecting File > Devices > Transfer Purchases from [user's] iPhone.
After deleting all songs from the phone, go back into Settings and check the music storage again to make sure everything was deleted. If the 'Music' app is not listed anymore, then you should be good to go. Just to be sure, you can also check the Music app itself and make sure no songs appear there (if songs appear with cloud icons next to them, turn off 'Show All Songs' in Settings > Music and then check the Music app again -- no songs should appear).
Once you're absolutely sure all songs have been removed from the phone, restart the iPhone, plug it back into the computer, and let iTunes sync. Give it time to sync everything over at once and make sure the sync doesn't get interrupted. Everything you've set to sync should sync over properly.
If it still doesn't sync, there may be a corrupted file in the iOS installation on the phone or in the iTunes installation on the computer. It's more likely that the issue is in the phone's software, especially if you ever installed an iOS update over Wi-Fi (through the Settings app). I'd recommend making an iTunes backup and restoring the phone to factory settings through iTunes. Then set the iPhone up as a new iPhone and test the syncing -- the playlist should sync over properly. If not, Remove and reinstall iTunes and related software components for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8 - Apple Support. Then test again.
Once you get the syncing working with the phone set up as new, restore the phone from your iTunes backup and test the syncing again. Now that the iOS files have been reinstalled, hopefully the corruption is gone! If it still doesn't sync properly, the corruption may be somewhere else (in a song in the playlist, in some app data in the backup, etc.). That could be harder to pinpoint, but don't worry about that for now. Start simple.

RH detaches template from topics when editing. RH7, RH6 and possibly RH5 too

Just in case anybody has had this problem that I have lived with for years.
I've reported it as a bug.
Concise problem statement:
In many Help projects, I confine the contents of each topic to a table of about 750px wide, so that the appearance looks reasonable on some of these modern very large, wide-screen monitors. (This avoids having a line of text nearly two feet long!)
It also keeps the positioning of floating images in their correct place, and maintains the good appearance of the topis.
The problem is that, when editing these topics and saving them, they often detach the Template. This also often happens if I go into Topic Properties to change the topic name and file name.
A message box pops up, asking me if I want to make template changes to just this topic, or to all topics.
You have to be VERY careful to select 'Just this topic', and then re-attach the template again afterwards. If you get it wrong and select 'All Topics', then on earlier versions of RH it would strip the template off ALL topics and then DELETE THE TEMPLATE!
Fortunately, I haven't made this mistake on version 7, but I think the risk is still there.
Steps to reproduce bug:
1. Create a new topic template and insert a table (mine have invisible borders) of, say, 750px wide.
2. Save the template.
3. Create several topics with a reasonable amount of content (copy and paste something from a Word doc, for example.)
4. Try editing a few topics.
5. Or try changing the Topic Properties Topic Title and/or File Name and click OK a few times.
Results: It shouldn't be long before it starts to misbehave.
Expected results: The template should NOT be detached.
Note: I have had this problem on every Help Project since I started using RH years ago. But it wasn't till I built one recently that didn't use a table for the content, that I discovered that it was then stable because ther was no table for the content.

I had a look at your video. RoboHelp is not losing the connection to the template. What is happening (at least according to the video you presented) is that for some reason it is sensing a change has been made to the Header or Footer. Because the topic is associated with the Template (or Master Page in RoboHelp 8) it is asking you how it should proceed. When you choose the option to apply the modification to the topic, you are instructing RoboHelp to break the connection to the template.
What you need to be investigating is exactly why it is sensing you have made a change to the Header or Footer. Once you solve that mystery you should not encounter the message that causes you to sever the connection between the Template/Master Page and the Topic.

Insufficient data for an image error. We have Adobe Acrobat 11.0.10. Happens when edit pdf.

We are all updated on the Adobe Acrobat XI standard version 11.0.10. However, when we delete a page, extract a page, or even add a page we get the insufficient data error message and the PDF is deemed worthless. Looking over different forums, it seems that this has been an issue for many years although we have only encountered it recently.
What is being done about this error? Our company uses adobe for all our printing uses and we need to be able to edit PDF's.

This message only comes up when editing.
I've been trying to recreate different scenarios and it seems that it is constantly happening when I delete a page and try to save the PDF. After deleting a page, when I try to save I get this:
When I try to close out it lets me save but then viewing the PDF I get this:
When this happens, we are missing signatures or chunks of texts above the signatures, or even whole pages of text.
We have never had this issue before and we do edit PDF's all the time.

Why can't I access the playlist button when adding songs to a playlist?

Under iOS 6, when editing a playlist (adding music to it), I had access to the playlist button in order to add all the music from one playlist to another. Under iOS 7, one can only access the song, artist, album, and composer buttons from the Edit/+ screen. So if I want to add 5 songs that I know are together on another playlist, I have to find them again in an alphabetical list? Yikes, a severe downgrade in functionality under ios7. Will this ability return or am I just missing something obvious that should let me do it?

In an effort to go minimalist they went brain-dead. I have a library of over 7,000 songs. I create my playlists through playlists when I am on the go. And I rarely ever create a new playlist at the computer because I rarely even use my computer, much less synch my iphone/itunes manually with it.
And not only did they eliminate the add from playlist feature, you cannot edit an existing playlist while “on the go” - only those created after i0s 7. Also, you can no longer create a playlist by selecting the genre. But wait - you can select the “Composer". Really?! I don't listen to my music by Composer. Whose idea was that. Now am I supposed to reorganize my music library and categorize songs by Composer?
As the other poster said, the "on the go" list is now virtually unusable. Now I have to go to the computer (which I rarely do). They really took the on-the-go/music app back to ipod-2008. Really a huge leap backwards.

Existing Music Deleted When Manually Synching New Music. How Do I Prevent This?

I want to add a playlist in iTunes on my computer, to my iPod Touch, which has (had) around 1,200 songs on it at present. I go through the synching process, checking "Selected playlists, artists, albums and genres." I check off the playlist I want to add and then click on Apply.
When the process is completed, the new Playlist is installed on my iPod, and all of the songs that were previously there are flipping GONE.
I have been wrestling with this problem for a long time, and have as yet to solve it. I don't want to wipe out my existing songs/playlists on my device. I want them to STAY RIGHT THERE. All I want to do is ADD SOMETHING NEW to them. I know this can be done, but cannot for the life of me figure out how to do it.
I have turned off Automatic Synch in iTunes. Makes no difference. I am only using one device and one computer.

Not exactly - this playlist should contain all the music that you want to be on your iPod - think of it as a "mirror" of what you want to be on the device. To add music to the iPod, add it to the playlist then sync. To remove music from the playlist, remove it from the playlist then sync.
Here's an example that may help. I have a playlist called (somewhat unimaginatively) "8Gb iPod" which I use to control the content of my 8Gb nano. I remove any previous content from this playlist and add five albums to it as follows:
I sync the iPod and it will contain these five albums (any previous content having been removed). Now suppose I want to add a couple more albums to the iPod. I add these to the playlist so that it looks like this:
and sync the iPod again. All seven albums will now on the iPod - the initial five will be untouched because they are in the playlist and were already on the iPod; just the two new ones will be added to it.
Now I decide that I want to remove two of the original albums from the iPod. I remove these from the playlist so that it is like this:
When I next sync the iPod it will delete the Sinatra and U2 albums, leaving the other five untouched.
With this method iTunes is essentially comparing the content of your iDevice with that of the playlist(s) used as the basis for sync operations, and adjusting the content of the iDevice to match that of the playlist(s) at sync time.
So, if I was to attempt to write down the operations that iTunes goes through for each of the three syncs described above:
First sync
remove any music that is on the iPod that is not contained in the "8Gb iPod" playlist
add the songs that comprise the "Reflektor", "Sinatra at the Sands", "Crime of the Century", "Songs of Innocence" and "Down Where the Spirit Meets the Bone" albums to the iPod
Second sync:
leave the songs that comprise the "Reflektor", "Sinatra at the Sands", "Crime of the Century", "Songs of Innocence" and "Down Where the Spirit Meets the Bone" albums on the iPod (as they are still in the "8Gb iPod" playlist)
add the songs that comprise the "Independant Intavenshan: The Island Anthology" and "The Endless River" albums to the iPod
Third sync:
leave the songs that comprise the "Reflektor", "Independant Intavenshan: The Island Anthology", "The Endless River", "Crime of the Century" and "Down Where the Spirit Meets the Bone" albums on the iPod (as they are still in the "8Gb iPod" playlist)
delete the songs that comprise the "Sinatra at the Sands" and "Songs of Innocence" albums from the iPod (as they are not in the "8Gb iPod" playlist)

IPod Nano playlist cannot be edited

I have an iPod Nano 6th generation. My computer recognizes and says it syncs but it does not.
I have 2 playlists and when I click on them, they are grayed out. I can't play them from my computer and I cannot edit the playlist.
The music plays fine on the Nano itself. Why are the libraries grayed out and how do I fix it?

Because you are auto syncing your Nano. If you switch to manually managing your music those will be accessible.

Setting ScrollPosition when editing tree item

Hi
Is there a way to set the horizontal scroll position to see the cursor when editing an item in a tree? When the item is edited, the scroll position stay at it's position even if the cursor is off the screen. You don't see what you're typing.

I've set the scroll position to maxhorizontalScrollPosition when i start the edit process but if i delete the text, the scroll stays at the max value. I need something that will set the position to follow the cursor during the edit process
