Playlist display the "random" order [iTunes 11]

Okay folks, here is what I want to do... I have a playlist of well over a hundred tracks. I want to play the list in "random" order, but I want to SEE the order they're going to be in. I cannot figure out how to sort the list to show the new play order [which I was able to do in previous versions of iTunes]... and I want to see the WHOLE list, not just the 10 "Up Next"

I'm not sure if this is the answer but try it anyway. Click on the menu Control Shuffle Turn on Shuffle.
Then go to your playlist and double click on a tune say halway down.
The song will start playing, Move to the top and then you can see the order for the rest of your playlist

I think I am following -- I was able to upload to my iPhoto and all photos and videos are there that is a plus! I tried to create an Event in my iPhoto and put all of my photos in that event but for some reason, now my iTunes it not recognizing that Event in my iPhoto. It is not allowing me to import just that event at the moment but I may be doing something wrong. At least all of my pics and vids are in iPhoto so that is a plus and I know they are at least saved somewhere. Just for some reason, my iTunes it not locating the event that I created with only those photos.

Also, I had no clue that my iCloud could be backed up via cellular data! However, is this a new feature with the most updated iOS?? Unforutnatly I am like 2 iOS updates behind because I don't have enough storage on my phone. I still get the notification that my phone needs to be plugged in and connected to wifi in order to back up to the cloud :-(
How can I sync using USB? Right now when i click on the info tab for my iPhone in my iTunes this is the answer that I get -- I am a little unclear as to what it means.

I assume, you want to display sales order number in accounting document..... .
This is not something you can do it through the BADI..
You will have to change the G/L account field group (if it is already not there). you can then assign sales order number when posting to FI. In the field group, better choose sales order number and item number as optional fields.
If you can see the sales order field (may be empty) - you have to enter the sales order number when you post it.

How can I manage the sequence of photos viewed on the Apple TV via i Tunes Home Share? The photos in my directory are sequenced, they display in random order in the slide show.

I am accessing a directory of photos on my network, using Home Share within iTunes. The photos are displayed in random sequence, which is not helpful for an organized slide show. Any ideas on sequencing the photos?

Actually it appears that the sequence is likely by date/time. Filename is DEFINITELY NOT the sequence. I am trying to create a slideshow in iPhoto, fool the date problem by changing all dates to today, and sequencing by filename. A very cumbersome process to an illogical problem, does not make sense to me at all.

Photos being synced in a random order (iTunes 10.6.3)

Hi everyone,
After I upgraded to iTunes 10.6.3 on my Windows Vista PC, I tried syncing some new photos to my iPad 2, but whilst it was syncing them, all of my other albums on the device now display themselves in a random order. I specifically renamed certain photos in my albums on my PC so that they're the thumbnail image for each album in the "Albums" tab for Photos on iPad. What's going on?
Apparently, iTunes 10.6.3 was supposed to fix this bug which was in its update description, but I never noticed this bug when I was using iTunes 10.6.2. So rather than fix this problem, it has actually caused it! This isn't happening to all of my albums, but it is affecting around 70% of them.
I've restored my iPad 2, reinstalled iTunes to the latest version, renamed some of the photos and still the issue persists.
Is anyone else experiencing this?

From my experience, the photos were never sorted in Alphabatical order since IOS4.

If using iOS 4
iOS 4 sorts photos by the Date Taken tag of the photos. Specifically, your device uses the pictures' EXIF tags to determine the Date Taken information. Your device will look for the following EXIF tags within your pictures:

Date Time Digitized
Date Time Original
Last Modified
To change the sort order, you must change the Date Taken of photos on your computer. Third-party photo-management software may be able to do this. Refer to the documentation of your photo-management software for more information. In some cases, photos may not have a date in any of the above four EXIF tags, or photos may not support EXIF data (such as JPEG 2000, TIFF, PNG or GIF files). In this case, your device sorts these photos by the date the files themselves were created (as listed in the Date Created field in OS X Finder or Windows Explorer).
If using iOS 3.1.3 or earlier, photos are sorted on the device alphanumerically by the photos' file names.

Why is the order of my music in my playlists in the opposite order?

I've ordered music in my playlists on iTunes to the date added, so that my newest music is at the top of the playlist. However, theyre ordered in the exact opposite order when I've synced these playlists onto my iPhone. It's really annoying to have to scroll right down to the bottom to find my latest music :/ I've also found that the music in my smart playlists and playlists which have been ordered with no preference i.e. the first column (#1,2,3,4,5) are in the right order, however. Really strange!

The name of the diirectory inside /Users cannot be changed by any reasonable method. But you can create a new directory in /Users, spelled to your liking, and move your files to it.
After copying your files to the new directory, you can either
a) create a new User Account, or
b) you can change your user account to point to the newly-created location. [This is how one moves Accounts to a different drive, so it is a well travelled road.]

I assume you want a custom sort order within a playlist, not sorted by Song, Artist, or Album.
With the playlist in view in iTunes, make sure that "Shuffle" is turned off. Then click on the left-most header (the empty box over the numbers in the left column). Once you click on that empty box you have unlocked the playlist and can then drag songs to any order you like (just make sure Shuffle is OFF).
When you're done, Option-click on the playlist name (right-click in Windows) and select "Copy to Play Order" to lock in the new sort order. If you auto-sync then you would re-sync the iPod. If you manually manage the iPod, you should be able to do this on the playlist on the iPod with it connected to iTunes.

Which player do you have? Most have a play mode such as random or shuffle/shuffle folder which will play in the way you want. PB

VL10B does not display the purchase order

Hi,
I have created a stock transport order to transport materials from Plant A to Plant B
I only enter the purchase order number and plant A in VL10B and no other fields. The delivery creation date defaults to 9/30/2008 to 10/01/2008 with CalcRuleDefltDlvCrDt set to 2 - Today and tomorrow. I have also tried it without specifying a plant.

My stock transport order has a document date and delivery date of 9/30/2008. When I click on the execute button in VL10B, the list which comes up is empty.
What's wrong? Can you please help me out with this issue?

Check your PO?
you PO should have shipping tab than only you can use VL10B transaction
please send the screen shot of PO shipping tab
Or you can try VL10B by just entering the shipping point and see.

Iphone software update deleted my playlists on the phone and itunes

When i installed the latest update to the iphone 3gs all of my playlists were wiped out. is there way to recover them? when i synched my phone with itunes it deleted the playlists there as well. i do have an ipod with the playlists still in tact.

I had a very similar issue. Bought the 3G and tried to sync it with my Outlook (2002) and it deleted about 3 dozen calendar events. It seemed to be specifically recurring events, and I think they all had reminders. Not sure though - recreated them all, so let's see what happens.

Lost PlayLists/Muisc/Videos Randomly Starting Itunes

I have been searching around the forums for quite some time now... I have noticed multiple people have had similar problems as I have had, but still can't find the right response...
Yesterday I was uploading music/videos and as I was doing this, my Itunes shut-down out of no where... I restarted from the desktop, and to my luck all my Itunes Videos and Musc I just purchased/uploaded where completely missing. I have been stressed all day trying to find a resolution for this... I do have two IPODs but unfortunately they are not updated with my latest work on them. I have noticed there are files that store all your music/videos/pictures/etc so you are able to recover them if needed... Where these files are I do not know, and if these are even the files I need... I would GREATLY appreciate it if someone could desperately help me out here...

This happened to me too. I lost 4,000+ songs and there are no playlists. There used to be a "recently played" list a "recently added" list etc. Now nothing. The only thing that I did recently was upgrade something when prompted by quicktime. I think it also upgraded me to iTunes 7.4.1
This is very aggravating.
