PLAYLIST WONT ADVANCE TO NEXT SONG

So out of no where my playlist keeps playing the same song.  It wont advance to the next song.  No idea what happened.  It worked fine yesterday

Not sure which Nano you have, but if it's the 6th gen, have a look at page 21 of the manual (download here).

My ipod nano will not advance to next song, neither in regular play or shuffle.  Any ideas on how to get it to work?

Hi, I'm new to this and for some reason my images are not appearing to full scale on adobe premiere cs6. This is really annoying as I am trying to make a stop motion video but I can't see what I'm doing. Please reply soon, this is an important project. Thanks
Your sequence settings and clip settings are not matching. To make them match, right click on a clip and choose New Sequence from Clip and a new sequence will be created based on your clip settings.

  • Itouch keeps repeating same song - will not advance to next song

My itouch, after working fine for over one year, now will not advance to the next song automatically. It keeps repeating the next song.

  • Coverflow View: How to advance to next song?

    Hi,
Hope this isn't a FAQ, but didn't find anything on it...
In Coverflow view, is it possible to advance to the next song?
    TIA.

If you touch the albums that are displayed you can also browse the albums without changing the song that is playing.
If you find an album you prefer, rather than what you are listening too, touch the upper right portion of that album (looks like a cross hatch) and the album will reverse and display a list the songs that are contained in the album.
You can can individually select songs off the back of the album.

  • IPad Nano Won't automatically Advance to next song in *specific* Playlist, shuffle is enabled

I have a 4th generation iPod Nano that was working properly up until last week, and now it's not working for no apparent reason.
There is a playlist I use to work out with, and all of a sudden it stopped automatically advancing to the next/ another song when the first song in the playlist is over. It just stops all together and goes back to the main playlist screen.
Shuffle has been enabled in both the settings and within the playlist but nothing has changed:(
It's working properly with all other playlists. Super weird. I just reset my ipod and I have the latest version of iTunes and Ipod software. Nothing.
    Any suggestions??

Have you tried removing and resyncing this playlist to your iPod via iTunes?  Are the songs on this playlist in any other playlist on your device?
Do the songs otherwise play normally on your device?

  • Playlists -- why does it repeat each song? I have to manually advance to next song.

Initially worked fine. After I synced again with computer, now plays each song over and over unless I manually advance. Cannot find way to change under settings.

See page 21 of your iPod's User Guide for instructions on turning off the Repeat feature.

  • Playlists wont advance in home sharing

I have shared my ITunes Library to my Apple TV.  When applying a playlist to a slideshow only the first song plays and then it stops.   The playlist also reports that there is no content even though I can see the indivdiual songs within.  The same appears for an album.

OK still having the same problem but now I'm using a workaround.  From iTunes on my PC, I select Apple TV from the speaker list, (via the icon that has a triangle within a rectangle) then start the playlist from there.  The podcasts start playing and can then be controlled, e.g. paused, from the Remote app on my iPad.  Also on the iPad in the list view up at the top it shows the upcoming podcasts and they are in the right order.  It would be nice if Apple fixed this so that the podcast playlist could be started from the iPad instead of having to start it from the PC.

  • ITunes doesn't play the next song, it just stops after one track.

I have iTunes 11.0.1. When I play a song in my playlist, I expect the next song to start as the first one ends, but iTunes stops and doesn't play the next song. I'm missing some sort of setting but what?
It's not a smart playlist, just a playlist of favorite music I've built up over the years.
    Mountain Lion.

Have the tracks become unchecked? iTunes will skip unchecked tracks, so if they're all unchecked, iTunes will play one and then stop. If this is indeed the case, re-checkmark the tracks - Command-click will select or unselect them all - and you should then have continuous playback.
    Hope this helps.

  • Try to play next song or the song ends and the music stops. Whats wrong with it?

Every time I hit "next" to play the next song, the current song playing will stop and wont play the next song. This also happens when the songs ends. When the song ends it won't start the next song. How do I fix this?
Also the shuffle won't shuffle any one my songs.
    HELP!!!!!!

Have you tried restarting or resetting your iPod?
Restart: Press On/Off button until the Slide to Power Off slider appears, select Slide to Power Off and, after the iPod shuts down, then press the On/Off button until the Apple logo appears.
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10 seconds). Ignore the "Slide to power off"
If these don't work try removing all music via iTunes and reinstall all the music from your iTunes library.

  • How do I stop iPod on my iPad from automatically advancing from one song to the next in my music library or in a playlist? I want iPod to play one song and then stop.

How do I stop iPod on my iPad 2 from automatically advancing from one song to the next in my music library or in a playlist? I want iPod to play one song and then stop until it's told to play the next song. In iTunes I can uncheck the checkmarks next to songs, but I can't see where to do that on the iPad 2.

How to use your iPod to move your music to a new computer

  • When I play my music from my playlist it will not advance to the next song, it just repeats the song over.  I have to advance to the next song manually.

When I am playing my music it will not advance to the next song, it just keeps repeating the song.  The only way to go to the next song is to do it manually.  It just started this after the last update.  How do I fix it, hard to listen to at the gym.

Check the song and see if repeat is activated. Down in the bottom left corner is repeat when the music is running. It would have a colored box around it if it is active. It would either read Repeat Song, or Repeat Playlist.

  • My ipod wont advance to the next song on its own

When a song plays, it won't advance to the next song unless I manually click on the next song. I want to be able to have the whole album play without haveing to click on next songs. Thanks for your help

Have you double checked to make sure the repeat setting has not been enabled?  If it's a 5G Nano, you do from with the Settings menu. If it's a 6G Nano, you can do it from the Now Playing screen.

  • Setting it up so that after a song finishes it does not advance to next????

I have many files that I need to play, though I want it setup so that after a song is done playing it does not advance to the next track. Is there anyway to do this? The only way I have found to do this is by making each and every song a separate playlist, however this will take a LONG time.
    Thanks.

So if I create a playlist with songs that I want to play and place tracks in between each song and uncheck the ones that are in between, will it play the song that I want to play and stop when it gets to the unchecked song and then wait until I skip to the next song that is checked to play?
No. iTunes doesn't stop when it reaches an unchecked song, it skips over it. So in your scenario it will skip over the unchecked song, go to the next checked song and play that. If you want to play one song and then stop, uncheck all the songs. Then there are no other songs for iTunes to play next and it will stop after playing the one you specifically selected.

  • How do I disable "up next" on itunes 11 (or at least make it play the next song in my playlist and not some random one)

ITunes 10 was great and I heard nothing but horror stories about 11 so I didn't upgrade until I got my new computer and pushed my music over.  In fact, I accidentally hit update and disconnected my computer from the Internet to stop it from happening, but was too late and now I'm stuck with it.
When I play a song and the song ends, instead of playing the next song on the list, it plays some random other song.  When I "clear list," iTunes doesn't play anything at all.  What gives?  What happened to the greatest media player?  As a pro audio engineer, I've got over 150Gb of music and this just doesn't fly.  I HAVE to have my music in order and if iTunes can't do that, what is its purpose?
    Help, please.

iTunes 11 works fine on my computer...   I think you need to check the "Shuffle" settings in all of your playlists, including the main library...   It sounds like for whatever reason, iTunes is automatically shuffling your playlists...
