Playlists and ratings did not transfer after copying to new pc. Any suggestions on what I may have done wrong?

Playlist and ratings did not tranfer from old pc to new pc. Followed Apples guidlines on the move of the "iTunes Music" folder. Any suggestions??

Did you export the old Library (xml) and then manually import it to the new PC?

    Did your backup include the iTunes Library.itl file that is the core of an iTunes Library, and if so have you restored it either to the default library location for your profile, or to another folder and then redirected iTunes to look to that folder for a library? Normally all you need do is backup the entire iTunes folder from the old profile's Music folder, then restore the iTunes folder into the new profile's Music folder.

    I did a clean reinstall (HIGHLY recommended every new OS) and imported my iTunes files and preferences. However, my playcounts and ratings are missing. Anyone know which folder those are kept in? Thanks...

    I'm not sure what you did when you say you imported your iTunes files and preferences...
    The playcounts and ratings etc. are stored in the iTunes Library file in your iTunes folder... if you replace the current iTunes Library file with your backup and check that the name of the file is the same as one you are replacing... restart iTunes with a double/click on the backup copy of the iTunes Library file you put in the iTunes folder...

IOS5 on iPad1, iPad2 and iPhone4S all with iCloud on. Lion 10.7.2 installed on my MacBookPro and iCloud set up/on. Any new iCal entry on either iPad or on the iPhone ends up via iCloud on both iPads and iPhone. BUT NOT ON THE MacBookPro. And iCal entry on the MacBookPro does NOT GET SENT to iCloud.com or to either iPad or the iPhone. This is a huge problem for me because I do all my office scheduling on the iPad or iPhone but rely on the MakeBookPro to print out daily client lists. I REALLY need to get this fixed...it is causing major business issues. " No one so far has had a fix....  :(

    Sounds like a case of entering an incorrect passcode over and over.  Only fix is to follow the instructions in that article you reference, HT1212, and it may take a couple tries to get it to work right.

    about 6 months ago i was trying to unlock my phone. my passcode for everything has always been the same 4 digits. i unlocked the phone twice in the space of 10 minutes to reply to text messages by the time id checked my phone again my passcode no longer worked. frustrated i tried the passcode over again unfortunately my younger sister got a hold of my phone and further locked me out. i purchased another phone and now have come across the old phone, i need to get the pictures off the disabled iphone3gs of mine. these photos are a must! i dont want anything else off the phone just the photos. unsure of what to do now as restoring the phone hasnt worked either!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    If you have an iTunes backup that includes the photos you may be able to extract them from the backup using a 3rd party utility such as http://www.wideanglesoftware.com/ibackupextractor/

  • Upgraded from PE9 to PE12: ratings did not transfer on organizer

    Upgraded from PE9 to PE12 and the ratings and tags did not transfer to the organizer - or maybe they are there, but I do not know how find.
    I also upgraded from Vista to Microsoft 7. Do I need to uninstall the Vista version and reinstall,  or is there a different solution?

    When you installed PSE12 and opened the organizer, you should have been asked to convert your catalog. That would have created a new catalog with the contents of your old catalog; that old catalog being still available to PSE9. If, instead of letting the conversion automatically take place, you have simply imported your pictures into the new empty PSE12, the tags and captions are not recovered (unless you specifically 'wrote metadata to files' in the PSE9 organizer).
    Now, use the menu file/catalog (Ctrl Maj C) and click on the  'convert' button. Check the option to show already converted catalogs. You should see your PSE9 catalog and start the conversion.

    You can but you will need to consider additional steps for this module -- Please see "Even if the customer has no longer purchased a license to use the product .." line in the doc referenced in my previous reply.
    How would or Why would it be showing up as installed?
    It must have been selected when the installation was done.

    I have downloaded the Lightroom CC(2015) after downloadibg the programm wont start. I have, stuped done, uninstalled the earlier version 5.7.1. This version is not possibel to download again. So now I have no Lightroom.

    Probably best if you could post screen shots of the Inspecror window in extended view with a couple of the clips you using for the 2 angles.
    If you have audio from both cameras and have identified them separately, the sync is usually pretty reliable.

  • When configuring new iPad, apps and photos did not transfer from"restore"

    when trying to "restore" from a computer and the cloud, apps and photos did not transfer

    Restore from iTune Backup
    1. Settings>General>Reset>Erase all content and settings
    2. You'll be asked twice to confirm
    3. You'll see Apple logo and progress bar
    4. You'll see a big iPad logo on screen
    5. Configuration start
    6. Set language
    7. Set country
    8. Select Network and input Password>Join
    9. Enable Location Service>Next
    10. You'll be given 3 options (a) Setup as New iPad (b) Restore from iCloud Backup (c) Restore from iTune Backup
    11. Select Restore from iTune Backup
    12. You will see picture of USB cable pointing towards iPad
    13. Connect iPad to iTune (make sure iTune is on standby)
    14. Tap Continue (computer)
    15. Restore iPad from Backup (computer)
    16. See progress bar with estimated time (computer)
    17. See Restore in Progress on iPad
    18. See Apple logo
    19. See Apple and Progress Bar
    20. Slide to Unlock
    21. Copying Apps back to iPad (computer)
    22. You'll see Loading/Installing/Waiting below the Apps (iPad)
    23. Sync Music/Podcast/Movies to iPad (computer)
    24. Sync completed (computer)

    I updated my iphone 4 to IOS 5, in the processs itunes asked me if i wanted to transfer my purchased apps to my iphone, I clicked on transfer, however itunes did not transfer the apps and removed them from my iphone. How can i recover the apps I purchased?

  • Movie and music did not transfer in sync....

    The kids usually  purchase directly through iTunes on the computer but this time my daughter bought a movie and some music directly on her iPhone.   When she went to sync to iTunes, they did not transfer and are now not on her phone.   Any suggestions??
