Playlists not syncing properly on iphone

I noticed after the recent software updates for the iphone that the playlists in my itunes don't sync properly onto my phone, I'm talking about sorting the music. The songs in my playlists are sorted my artists and some by recently added etc. and the iphone used to copy that same order in the phone as I viewed my playlists. Well it doesn't and I cannot recognize what order the iphone is sorting it in now. Is there a check box i need to click or is it an update that went screwy??

I recently recieved my new macbook pro retina display in the mail. I have been having trouble transfering my itunes library from my iMac to my new macbook. Migration assistant would not work (iMac could not locate new macbook), I also tried copying it over to my Time Capsel(would not work-not enough room). I thought iTunes match might be the answer, and it did work for the most part, but a lot of my songs and playlists were missing and it was making my phone act funny, and not to mention there was duplicates of almost every song and playlist(I turned it off). I eventually got frusturated and copied 16gb of music on to a flashdrive and moved it on to my macbook. Everything seemed to be fine until I synced my iPhone to my macbook. All the songs sycned onto my iPhone, except if you click on a playlist there is nothing in any of them? Also, some of the album artwork is gone?
I'm a bit frusturated because I had my iphone and itunes set up the way I liked it on my iMac and now it seems to be messed up!

Same here with my 64gb iPod-5. Just keeps spinning and spinning, never finishes the sync. I'm guessing I'll have to restore it yet again and wait for my 11,000 songs to download all day. Ridiculous non-stop problems with iTunes 11.1.5 since the Apple "upgrades" a few months ago!!

Why do my smart playlists not sync properly?

For some reason some of my smart playlists sync properly from my win pc (latest itunes) to my iphone5s and others don't.
The playlist '0 play' syncs fine while the playlist '0 star' doesn't. The only difference between those two is 'play' 'is' '0' and 'rating' 'is' ' '. I also tried other settings, but they all did not work. Googling the issue didn't offer any solutions either.

I don't really want to switch my method of filing simply for sharing purposes.
Perhaps a solution for now could be to revert a document to Numbers '09 before emailing?
When Numbers 3.0 was released in November 2013, many people were stunned that a so-called upgrade had lost so many features. But slowly (through this forum working together) it became clear that Apple had provided several safety-nets.
- Numbers 3 did not replace Numbers '09 on any computer. Numbers '09 was moved to a folder named iWork '09 inside the Applications folder. It still works on OS X Mavericks just as it always did on previous versions of OS X.
Numbers 3 did not replace the icon on the Dock. That icon continues to point to Numbers '09.

- Documents and templates created in Numbers '09 will carry many of the "lost" features into Numbers 3.
- A document "stolen" by Numbers 3 can not be opened in Numbers '09. Numbers 3 has Menu > File > Export To > Numbers '09... to revert that document. However, reverting a document created in Numbers 3 will not magically install lost Numbers '09 features. They are gone (for now).
- Numbers '09 and Numbers 3 run happily together at the same time. Just be sure which version you use when opening a document. Use Menu > File > Open or Menu > File > Open Recent.
With each update (Numbers 3.0 to 3.01, 3.1 and now 3.2) many features have been restored. They may now live under a different menu, button, or Inspector (Format Panel).

Smart Playlists not syncing correctly to iPhone/iPad with iTunes Match

My manual playlists are syncing correctly to both devices, but smart playlists are a mess. They don't seem to match any criteria that they are created with, especially song limits. However, smart playlists are syncing correctly in iTunes on multiple computers. This is really frustrating because 99% of my playlists I listen to are smart ones. Anyone know of how to fix this? Apple, do you have any information on this or when it would be fixed?

I activated iTunes Match this morning.
Everything worked well apart from my smart playlists which cannot be found on my iphone/ipad anymore.
And yes, they relied on other lists...
BUT
A few smart playlists remained!!! (although they also rely on other lists)
So, after a bit of soul searching, here's my conclusion.
Those smart playlists that remained were actually dependant on "folders" which contain lists!
SO
I havn't tested yet (cause I'm at work), but if you put a list you wish to refer to in a folder, you should then be able to refer the smart list to the folder and not the actual list; and hopefully the smart list should then get synced!!!

Hi Ive posted this question before and had no luck with an answer
I have modified a few playlists on my iphone 5 ie created new ones, deleted old ones and rearranged others.
The changes are not coming up properly in my other devices like my ipad and apple tv. Some playlists are coming up fine and others are completely missing. I don't know why. I havent changed any settings. This is a major problem. Can someone please tell me something aside from restart my phone and turn itunes match on and off?

No, I never really found an easy solution. I believe it is an issue with some corruption in the iTunes database on the specific device. In my case, both my iPad and iPhone now show duplicate stream songs if viewed through iTunes on my Mac, but they show different songs. A couple years ago I had a similar issue on my iPhone, and Apple support suggested I back up the phone, completely reset it, and then restore it from the backup. It did work, so I imagine it would probably work for my current issues with the iPhone and iPad. But resetting and restoring an iPad or iPhone always makes me a little nervous that something will get lost. When I did reset/restore the iPhone, I do have to say, the restore process was 100% perfect and I did not lose any data at all even though Apple support said I might. If you try to go that route, I would suggest backing the device up both to a computer through iTunes, and to the iCloud so that you have a double backup.
None of this really resolves the issue with how the iTunes databases are becoming corrupted on the apple devices though, so it is very likely to happen again until they fix it. I have been unable to determine if there were any specific actions or conditions which caused the corruption to happen in the first place.
Might be worth another call to Apple support, or dropping in the local Apple store if you have one near by.

The reminders app in my iPhone and the reminders in Mac are not syncing properly

I use the Reminders app and Notes app extensively to keep track in both my Mac and iPhone. However the reminders app in my phone does not immediately sync when i made changes in my Mac and later when i make a change in my iphone Reminders, it over writes the reminders in Mac. Please help so that my work syncs smoothly from Mac to iPhone and vice versa without any loss of information, just as Apple advertises and takes pride in being able to do so.

At the bottom - one person has the answer...On your iPhone remove your iCloud account. Then add it back. It's not as painful as it sounds it only took me less than 5min to add everything back

Okay, but being "checked and highlighted" does not cause media to sync.
Do you manually manage the content on the device or use the sync feature as designed?
If manually managing the content, can you "drag and drop" the media onto the device?
If syncing, go to the Movies (or video) tab and select the video there, then sync.

I recently added a new playlist to my ITunes library. Once created in wirelessly synced with my IPhone. I have since edited the playlist and added some new tracks. These did not sync with my IPhone wirelessly or over the wired connection to my Mac. Please can someone let me know how to update the playlist?

Contacts on my iphone does not sync properly with icloud. I have merged data with facebook contacts, and this merged information appears as I want it to be on icloud.com. But on the iphone, the facebook contacts and the icloud contact appear separately.
I have tried exporting the contacts out of icloud.com, then deleting all contacts on both icloud.com and on the iphone; then importing the vcard back into icloud.com, but the facebook details still appear as a separate contact. I was having the same problem where only 1.7GB of 10GB of selected music would sync so I decided to start fresh. The following steps worked for me:
1. Open itunes and connect iphone 5 if not already. Uncheck all playlists, artists, etc. till nothing is checked to sync. Then uncheck the sync music box so that all music will be removed from the phone. Sync iphone
2. Eject device. Quit itunes (don't just close). unplug iphone.
3. Restart imac, macbook, or PC.
4. Restart iphone.
5. Now after power up, restart itunes then plug in iphone, check sync music and select music to sync. Sync iphone
6. It worked for me!!! Good luck.

Check the songs are really not in the Music section of the library by clicking the magnifying glass in the search box and unticking Search Entire Library if it is ticked, then typing in the name of the album. If the tracks still don't show try closing iTunes and deleting a hidden file called sentinel from inside your iTunes folder. This should make iTunes run an integrity check on the database when you start it again. Make sure the tracks are checked before you try syncing again.

Playlists not syncing correctly from iTunes to iPhone4

iTunes is not syncing my playlists consistently. As it is difficult to describe exactly what is going wrong, I'll also list the things that I did to test the issue. I am currently using itunes v10.6.3.25 on Win7 64-bit and iOS v5.1.1 and iTunes Match is not enabled. When I plug my iPhone into my PC to sync, everything appear to go normally, I am not getting any errors. When I look at the contents of my iPhone in iTunes (under the Devices category), it appears to match my iTunes content. However, when I use the Music app on my phone, the playlists/song have not been synced. Here are my attempts to figure out what's going on:
TEST: deleted playlists on iphone
RESULT: playlist deleted on itunes after syncing
TEST: deleted playlists in itunes
RESULT: playlist deleted from iphone
TEST: changed name of playlist in itunes
RESULT: removed *some* songs from playlist on iphone (but not in itunes)
TEST: added songs back to iphone playlist
RESULT: after syncing, songs added were removed from both itunes and iphone playlist
TEST: added songs back to iTunes playlist
RESULT: did not sync songs to iPhone playlist
TEST: added music to iTunes library
RESULT: music successfully synced to iPhone

RESULT: smart playlist synced to iPhone successfully

I have just started to have trouble playing my playlists on the iPhone. It started to shuffle them and when I turned shuffle off, it would only play one song over and over again. You have to open the iPod and manually advance to the next song. That is obviously unsatifactory. I downloaded the update on the iTunes software today. That did not correct the problem. I also restored the settings on the phone. It wtill will not play a playlist in the order I have it. There is some problem here. I would also be happy to hear a reply on this issue.
