PlayReady update incomplete - W7 64-bit RTM

PlayReady update never completes.
I have tried every "fix" I could find in these forums, and nothing works permanently.
It was not a serious issue until I was forced to use cable boxes from my service supplier. When I had the coaxial cable connected directly to my Hauppauge 2250 tuner card without the cable boxes, I was not affected by the PlayReady technology.
Since using the cable boxes, I have had recordings blocked with the message that provider does not allow viewing except on the computer the recording was recorded on. The recordings are not shared and only watched on the computer they have been recorded
on.
These issues go all the way back to Beta and RC. Whatever the glitch is, if Microsoft has not fixed these issues, PlayReady has to be disabled until Microsoft can permanently fix them.
I either need a link to the fix, if it exists, or how to disable PlayReady so it does not interfere with watching recordings on the computer they were recorded on.
PlayReady has even blocked the signal during TV Signal setup. It is very annoying having to go through setup two or three times because of this.

No good with disabling the A/V. PlayReady still does not complete updating. It will not work no matter what I shut down. I have tried different selective start-ups and "Safe Mode" variations, it just will not work. It is the same problem as reported
by many others.
Is there a link for uninstalling and reinstalling PlayReady. The only link I found was from 2009, so don't know if it is still relevant.
PlayReady is not only causing issues with play recordings, it is also preventing me from watching channels I pay my cable service provider to watch. My regular TVs have no problem with these channels. Microsoft has to disable this service if it not going
to operate 100% correctly all the time. PlayReady is costing me money.
As I stated in my original post, I have done ALL the tricks, tips and work arounds located in the forums. I have used the installer (which I don't know if was latest or not since there was no dates on the Microsoft Tech web page) to uninstall and then reinstall
PlayReady.
PlayReady has been a problem since at least last year (2010). I know it was definitely not working after the Update associated with KB2284742. Not sure about before than because I did not have a cable tuner box from my cable service provider back then.
I ignored the PlayReady issue until now because it did not affect me since I did not have the cable tuner boxes before this month (March). Now I get constant "blue screens" (not BSOD) on certain channels informing me the service provider only allows recordings
to be played on the original computer it was recorded on. And as noted above, some channels I pay for are blocked from viewing "Live". This computer does not share files or recordings.
Please inform me of the advanced trouble shooting procedures as I am tired of doing the same basic trouble shooting over and over again just to have the same results the first 100 times I did them.

  • Browser unable to update the service status bits

    I am having an issue with my computer becoming non-working. After a period of time of inactivity and then I go to use the computer, I can move the mouse cursor around but can do nothing else. I have noticed that when moving the cursor around that when I move it to the task-bar I get the hour glass waiting icon. I checked the event viewer and in the applications log I have numerous errors which say "The browser was unable to update the service status bits" Can you explain this and are there any fixes?     Yes, CTS_BROWSER service is active. It was working before when I click to test. Unfortunately, it started throwing error. We are on SP13 in SOLMAN. I'm using solman as an ABAP stack.

    If the photos were synced to the iPod they are not in either an iTunes or iCloud backup.Y may be able to get them from the updated iPod

        After loading the latest set of updates for my Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit operating system and rebooting,   I am now experiencing a cascade of failures.  None of my network (wireless or ethernet) adapter or miniport drivers
    will load.  my firewall will not load or has failed.  I cannot logon to my Event Viewer to figure out what failed and my Microsoft NET is giving me errors when I try to access anything that might help me figure out what went wrong.  So far I
    have done a system restore back to before the update, but it did not fix the problems.  I have tried to use Microsoft Fix it, but that must access the internet.  I am sending this from a different computer because I cannot get online with the other. 
    Can anyone give me a clue where to start fixing these problems or do I have to completely reinstall my operating system?

  • 6490m driver update windows 7 64 bit

    Hi together,
    I own a early 2011 MacbookPro with an AMD Radeon HD 6490M graphic card and an Intel 3000 HD in addition.
    I installed Windows Ultimate 64 bit via bootcamp.
    Now I'm facing the error, that the driver I installed by Apple Support Folder (downloaded before in MacOS by bootcamp assistant) ist very old (begin 2011) and I'm not able to install the driver. It says that there is no correct graphic hardware at my system. The AMD Homepage says that 6400M series is supported but I can't get it to work.
    Afterwards I installed the latest beta driver (12-8_vista_win7_win8_64_dd_ccc). It installed with no problems but afterwards hardware manager reports that I'm having a AMD 7700M graphic card (I don't remember the name cause I uninstalled it because of extreme bad performance - more laggy then before).
    Now I read several threads in here and found a driver version of 11/2011. That one install a graphic card which is called 6400M which usually would be right cause it's the 6400 series. But this driver had same bad performance (40-60fps in counterstrike 1.6) like the other one.
    Does anybody now where I can get the latest driver including catalyst center for my AMD Radeon HD 6490M?
    It would be really nice if anybody could help me.

    Graphic switching on Macs only works within OS X. When in Windows, the discreet GPU runs all the time. This is the way it has been since Apple introduced systems with multiple GPUs. And being that I actually own a machine similar to the OP's that runs both Windows and OS X, and you own an HP, it goes without saying that I know more about this than you do.
    To the OP, the correct drivers can be downloaded by following the link at the bottom of this page:

    Before installing, make sure you have the Microsoft .NET framework 4.0 and all its security updates installed on your machine.
    Uninstall the drivers you have now via control panel/programs and features, reboot, and run this package from the link above. When it finishes, reboot, and it will display "AMD Radeon HD 6400M Series" in device manager. This is the correct naming scheme when you install drivers that are not directly provided by Apple. I have the same set installed on mine, and it says "AMD Radeon HD 6700M Series."

    Table has 10000 records only.
    I did updation for every record in loop by follwing query(Stored procedure executed on same server where database exists no network is coming in picture)
    update Test set description = description + 'something' where Recordid = i (loop counter)//existing description has 1000 characters
    I am wondering that updation of only 10000 records was taking 100 Seconds.
    I was expecting atlease 1000 records/second but it is 100 record/second
    Can anyone help to correct me and tell how can we improve database updations?

    You are running a loop but Oracle will give you read consistency.
    Oracle is probably cloning some of the datablocks as it re-reads them because
    it finds that the block has been previously updated.
    That sort of a loop is absolutely the wrong way to test Oracle.

    Shockwave Player is strictly 32-bit only.
    Most games on Facebook and Zynga use Flash Player, not Shockwave Player.
    Flash Player is 32-bit and 64-bit, but you need to run it on a 64-bit browser.

    Hi Everyone,
    I am experiencing problems with the windows update site. As far as I know it shold make a link to the Windows Update module on-board and show the available updates after scanning. However, I get to the page that says "Checking if your computer has the latest version of Windows updating software for use with this website" and the next page I get is "The website has encountered a problem and cannot display the page you are trying to view". The error number is 0x80070002. I go to the knowledge base and delete the content of the Data Store folder as advised, but to no use at all. Active X controls are enabled Java is working fine. I've cleaned the register and everything, did a complete scan with Onecare as advised by Microsoft, which did not find anything but again the same error message. I am using KIS 2009 and I am sure I have no viruses or any other malware. I even tried to go to the update site with the KIS switched off but to no avail too. On the other hand I don't have problems with the automtic updates and when I run a manual update from the Update module everything is OK. Do you have any suggestion as to what might be the issue with the website updates?
    P.S. I am using 32-bit Windows Vista Business on a Lenovo W500.

    I download and installed jre 6 update 20 (64-bit) on Windows 7 (64-bit).
    I ran a 3rd party Java application and I got the error saying 'Could not load the Java Virtual Machine.'.
    I found that the jvm.dll is installed under c:\Program Files\Java\jre6\bin\servere folder.
    I checked the registry and the JVM is pointing to c:\Program Files\Java\jre6\bin\client folder.
    May questions are:
    1) Why does the registry point to the clinet folder instead of server folder?
    2) Should I change my registry entry to point to the server folder to fix my error - Could not load the Java Virtual Machine?
    3) Is there a better way to fix the issue besides chaning the regiatry?

    I don't have proxy, neither vpn. Everything works with Java 1.6 with the same Java settings.
    I tested the jnlps also with janela and the syntax seems OK.

    Trex 7.0 is a 32 bit application that can run on 64 bit operating systems in compatibility mode.
    Yes you can use the 32 bit patch available on sap marketplace to upgrade trex.
