'Plays' column not re-sizeable when displaying iPod's content

iTunes version 12.0.1.26 on Windows 7 Home Premium Service Pack 1
When viewing my iPod's music (iPod Nano 4th Gen.) through iTunes I can not re-size the 'Plays' column like I can in the iTunes' 'Music' section which display the songs on the computer. Also if the play count is over 1000 plays iTunes displays "10..." in the 'Plays' column when viewing from an iPod's playlists. It displays correctly on the iPod's 'Music' section even though the 'Plays' column is not re-sizeable.
All other columns seem to work fine (i.e. are re-sizeable) except the 'Plays' column when viewing an iPod's content. Maybe a fix for one of the coming updates?

Usually when I convert a video file to put on my
iPod, it works fine, but recently, the videos have
been messing up and the audio doesn't play in time
with the video. I checked the movie info in Quicktime
for a muxed file, but they're all normal. I know I've
seen this question answered somewhere before, but I
cant seem to find it and it's been a real problem
lately. Every video I've converted now has audio out
of sync with the video. It's not that there's no
sound, the audio and video are out of sync. Thanks in

Why is the column browser greyed out when viewing iPod music?

I can not display the "column browser" for my iPod Touch, like I can for my iTunes Music Library (iTunes for Windows)
To confirm we're on the same page: the column browser is the specific display/view with "Artists" and "Albums" filters (and optionally 'Genres" , "Composers" and a few other not-so-useful options) in Columns at the top of the screen: selecting different combinations allows you to easily filter the "results" panel below, which displays all the individual songs that match those filters.
I have seen other questions on how to display the column browser, which relate more to the iTunes Library Music, opposed to the iPod touch music. (FYI the fix for the Library is to click "songs" and then the option for column browsing is available in "View/Column Browser/Show Column Browser")
If i display the sidebar, and select 'Music' under my iPod Touch, it just displays ALL songs. The option for "show column browser" is greyed out and not selectable. If i hige the sidebar, and click "Music" in the top left column under the name of my iPod, i get the same view. If i click "Music" from the big centered bar at the top of iTunes (but below the standard File/Edit menubar) this just shows my Sync options...
So question is: How do I display the column browser for my iPod music?
If i can't, question is: Why did you hide this feature and can you please bring it back?
And a general comment: Please let the brilliant Jony Ive loose on the iTunes design ASAP: it desperately needs a designer's eye to make this interface more intuitive. There are about 5 incongruous button/menu themes utilised at different places, and none of them are particularly well thought out. I'm a student of the school of thought where you can (if needed) utilise a few different interface design styles on one application to suit different users and different scenarious: but they need a talented designer to harmonise. The current iTunes is like years of changes piled on top of each other with no clear direction. Not an enjoyable experience!

All outputs from the SCXI module are measured in differential mode. You can still mix differential and single ended measurements (if you use the remaining channels of your daq board).
The easiest way to mix modes is with virtual channels. All SCXI analog input channels will be differential, while you can make other virtual channels differential or single ended. If you don't want to use virtual channels, you can use AI Hardware Config in LabVIEW to change the mode.

Recently played list not updating in when connecting my 1st gen iPod Nano

My Recently played list in iTunes will not show any songs recently played songs in my Nano.
Why? How do I fix that?
I've "repaired" iTunes, and updated my iPod to the lastest version.
Any help is appreciated.

File not Found error when synching Ipod

I have a fairly new Ipod and synced successfully for months, but now iTunes says it cant synch because of a "File not Found error" (no error number or other clues). I'm running the latest iTines and Ipod software, and I've reset USB drivers but still no luck. I cant reset the iPod itself becase I then got a "1418 error", which is why I then reset USB. I'm stuck, has anyone seen this before?
The Ipod itself plays fine and Itunes recgnises it OK, albeit very slowly, even thought I'm using USB 2.
One other piece of info; when this first happened, the sync must have first deleted the songs I no longer wanted, prior to unsuccesfully adding new ones. Those old songs show up on the iPod but are skipped when I try to play them.

This did not work for me. I have a laptop that was running Windows XP, and it had no problems recognizing the iPod. I was having problems with XP, and rather then reinstall XP, I did a clean install of Vista. I did a settings transfer, so the new install of iTunes came already configured--I mention this since I don't know if it was a factor.
When I plugged in the iPod, I got the USB Device Not Recognized. The usbstor.inf file did not fix the problem. However, the solution at http://www.winvistabeta.com/groups/275128/ipod-usb-device-not-recognized/message .aspx did fix the problem. Do this:
Reset the iPod:
1. Unplug the iPod.
2. Turn the hold switch to HOLD and then back to off.
3. Hold the Center and Menu buttons for 6 seconds until you get the Apple logo when you release them.
4. Plug in the iPod. It should now be recognized.

How can I get iPhoto to display ONLY file numbers of pictures and not document titles when displayed as thumbnails?

I am a pro photographer and I've never used iPhoto. I use a combination of Adobe's Bridge, Lightroom & Photoshop programmes. I've sent a disk of images to a client and they cannot see the file numbers of the images. Their version of iPhoto only displays the document title that I have embedded in the metadata when importing the images into Bridge.
When I ran a test and imported the same images into my version of iPhoto(7.1.5, since you ask) some of the thumbnails displayed the file number while others displayed the document title. Why does this happen? Can I make it stop? How do I make iPhoto display just the file number in thumbnail mode and not the document title?
When I view the images in Bridge, all I see is the file number but I can't convince the client to use the programme even though they have it. Any help/guidance will be very gratefuly received.

In every version prior to iPhoto 11:
Select one of the affected photos in the iPhoto Window and right click on it. From the resulting menu select 'Show File...
In iPhoto 11:
Select one of the affected photos in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Reveal in Finder -> Original...

I am able to display using MIR4 and through purchase order on the liv document and drill down till accounting document.

Drive not Valid error when syncing iPod 80Gb Video

As a relative iPod newbie I am still feeling my way around the system, but I have run out of ideas with my new iPod.
I have the latest versions of all the software and the XP SP2 WMC updates. Adding music is no problem to iTunes but when you come to sync the iPod, all goes well until it finishes the sync process when the PC shows an error message "Drive no longer valid" followed by the options to CONTINUE, RETRY or CANCEL. Only CANCEL gets rid of the message but the iPod shows DO NOT DISCONNECT even though it is up to date. The only way to get the iPod to resume normal service is to use the iPod diagnostics to check the iPod at which point when it says all is well it returns the system to a stable state. I have tried both syncing by inserting the iPod into its dock as well as by using the FILE menu from iTunes. Nothing seems to work and it does not do it every time.
Any ideas before this thing is consigned to the bin?

Contact info not sync-ed when using iPod

Have new 80 gig photo iPod. The calendar sync's just fine with my other Macs. But the contact/address book is only bring SOME of the field data over the iPod. All the iPod shows is the name and email fields, and not the other fields. Am I doing something wrong. It's all there on my Mac, but not on the iPod. Is there some setup for this on the iPod -- to TELL it which fields to bring over? --- david in KC

ITunes won't display iPod's contents

I've tried resetting and restoring the iPod and everything, but I think it's a problem with iTunes. I have the latest version. I know that in order for iTunes to show the music and everything that is on my iPod I have to go to View > Show Browser, but I cannot click on it. How can I fix this?

I have just updated my iTunes software and have the same problem. I cannot see what play lists or any content on my ipod. If I click on "devices" or the triangle I only get memory data, owner data, and restore option... Anybody figure this out yet? Manual music management is a pain without this.

I just found a warning on the GPG Suite website (https://gpgtools.org/news) stating that the Yosemite upgrade of GPGMail will be paid only. There is a beta versione available for those who needs encryption. They also advice to uninstall GPGMail after Yosemite install.

I am having problems syncing recently recorded songs to my iPod. I am using an ion program to record vinyl records to iTunes. The songs are in the iTune library and will play on the computer. When I try to sync they show up but do not play. help

I am using an ion piece of equipment to record vinyl reccords to my iMac and in turn save them in iTunes. I have recorded many records this way and have never had a problem until yesterday. I recorded three songs from records to iTunes and was successful as they are on the song list and will play on the iMac. When I tried to sync them to my iPod they showed up on the menu but would not play. The iPod just skipped over the new guys. Am I doing something wrong or has my ion program flipped out? This might sound weird, but here's an idea which worked for me re music that was newly added to itunes and showed up in my ipod but wouldn't play - I simply played the tracks in itunes first, just a second of time or so will do it, not the whole track, then connect the ipod and sync again and this time they played - hope this helps.

Sometimes the audiobook will play, then disappear from iPod's play menu after I reconnect to iTunes and load more music. I've got plenty of free memory, and iTunes shows the files still on iPod.
....or should I just roll it back to iOS 5... never had these kinds of issues with the old OS.

Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Unsync/delete all AB and resync
To delete all ADgo to Settings>General>Usage>Storage>Manage Storage>AB and try deleting them from there
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.

its fixed!! After posting my problem with the FROZEN ipod classic (2007) 80 gb a screen popped up with similar subjects that I did not find in my original search. 'Rich Fleming' in the community posted a suggestion to someone with a similar frozen issue and it WORKED when I tried it.
hold the 'menu' and the 'circle' buttons down at the same time, KEEP the pressed until the apple appears. and now it is working. Hope this helps others.
