Playstation 2 and 96000Hz SPDIF record

I'm using a Sound Blaster Audigy Platinum (somewhat old I know, but I've had for several years now and it's still working great) to input a Playstation 2 SPDIF digital signal for recording. The sound-card itself came with a dri've-bay attachment (seen below) that supports SPDIF digital in/out.

Up until now I was getting audio from an RCA analog (Red/White) connection. But now that I'm using SPDIF digital, I've noticed a huge improvement (over the analog). However, I'm being forced to use "PCM: 48000Hz, stereo, 6-bit" (seen below), this is because when I select "PCM: 96000Hz, stereo, 6-bit" the audio isn't recording properly (it sounds like the speed has been increased, the volume turned lower, and the overall sound muffled).

So, I wanted to know, does anyone have some thoughts as to how I might fix this? Also, shouldn't this card support 24-bit recording as well? And last, how would I record a 5. SPDIF channel source? (I seem to only have stereo (2 channel) as a choice)

I have dozens of midi objects, cable routings for writing and now have added dozens of audio tracks and inputs for recording my external and internal synths. (24 tracks in realtime one pass. Not bouncing but tracking. Its so cool.)
PROBLEM: As I improve the audio workflow in a song, importing that layer into older songs creates D.I.S.CO.R.D. (Digital Input Sequencer Copy Object Reassignment Disaster!)
QUERY: Can I just use one song for writing and playing and then run another "audio input based" song in the background locked via internal time code so it can RECORD or CAPTURE what this song plays?
Or is there finally a way to import audio layers without "rebuilding the whole house"?Maybe I'm not understanding your difficulty, but I
don't see why you have to have multiple setups, or
copy/paste/import/whatever from one song to another.

Why? Well......
1) there's dozens of midi modules, virtual modules and custom transformer splitter objects at the writing stage,
2) dozens of tracks, input objects and reverb busses at the "tracking stage"
3) and multiple master inserts at the mixing and output stage that output anywhere from 2 to 24 stems with their own reverbs.
When the room works it works beautifully but there are different configurations of the above for a tv series gig, movie gig, album gig etc and I'd love to be able to change config 2 or 3 without having objects jumble all over config 1.
I write and work in combinations of old and new gear from Spectrasonics and NI softsynth engines to an Oberheim Expander Roland JX10 and and Yamaha TX 816s. They all have different personalities and all work reliably and have far outlived their sys ex storage software (remember Galaxy/Sounddiver? Bye Bye since System 10)
Last year I expelled my dig gear (after too many DAE errors for all that money) and I went MOTU native and love it. But I started one interface at a time and built up my new tricks and routings gradually. As a result everytime I add another MOTU interface and change some routings around all my songs have to be retaught new routings even when its just callin up a midi writing template. Hence the need for better importing of environents or a way to reliably alter one area of the above without having to recheck all the others. And it may mean a 2 computer rig. The second computer becomes the "multitrack/master recorder", and only changes during a major upgrade while midi modules and virtual synths can come and go on computer 1.
In a few weeks my studio setup tech will come in and we'll redo all our flow charts which I'll send to you if interested. Then you'll either empathize with my problem or think I'm nuts.

Depending on which soundcard you have there, but if your card is capable for
ASIO -> activate I/O drivers on Sonar/Options/Audio/Drivers -tab (mic/line sources should be listed there --> activate) and select the mic or/and Line sources on tracks "I" - dialog
WDM/KS -> use the Surround Mixer or windows recording controls for recording source selection (mic should be listed there)
MME32 - > same w/ WDM/KS
If you use Asio4All --> same w/ WDM/KS & MME32
No mic and line source simultaenously w/ WDM/KS and MME32.
You perhaps be able to do this w/ kX drivers.

You can also install modded version of Audigy 2 drivers/software but I have never done this w/ Li've! 5. so I can't be sure if you get ASIO support for your card.

That's not quite possible with a single SQL, of course unless you are talking about Oracle Forms, where you have a relation and set the delete behavior to Cascading, like said in the above posts.

If I configured for normal mapping then it is working fine(Deleting existing records and Inserting new record). Whenever I am using multi mapping then I am getting following error in the receiver JDBC communication channel u201CError while parsing or executing XML-SQL document: Error processing request in sax parser: No 'action' attribute found in XML document (attribute "action" missing or wrong XML structure)u201D . Can you please tell me what might be the problem.

It appears that the inbound payload (the one that is going from XI to the JDBC adapter) does not have the requiered tag to specify which SQL action to execute in the receiver system. Maybe the multimapping is not creating the desired output message format.

I designed a Database Adapter to fetch the records from oracle Database. Some time, the Database Adapter need to fetch around 5000, or 10,000 records in single shot. In that case my BPEL process is choking and getting error as
java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space at java.util.Arrays.copyOf(Arrays.java:2882) at java.lang.AbstractStringBuilder.expandCapacity(AbstractStringBuilder.java:100)
Could someone help me to resolve this?
In Database Adapter can we split and fetch the records, if number of records more then 1000.
ex. First 100 rec as one set and next 100 as 2nd set like this.

I'm trying to record audio into my iPad2 using GarageBand and an iRig, but I can't monitor my tracks at the same time as recording, meaning if I lay down a drum track and attempt to record guitar, I can't hear the drums while recording. Thoughts?
Hi, I have this exact same problem. I haven't been using an iRig, just a cheap USB-jack cable. I managed to do this with the first cable I bought, but since it broke I've been unable to find a replacement that allows me to hear the drums while recording. DId you manage to get over this issue? Does it have a line in and how do you monitor sound?
Will I need adaptors and an interface?
Also, I am guessing as Logic only runs on MAC surely then they would not the best spec to recommend to run it?
I see all the upgrades as additional memory or a faster process?
Is a retina screen necessary, and why flash based storage against a 1TB hard drive, and a i5 instead of an i7
The main reason for this purchase is to play live and use backing tracks and record found sounds and make creative songs.
I hope you can provide some valuable feedback, as I am a longtime MAC user and see upgrades and changes happen regularly but the most important thing is the songs not the equipment.

No, Apple does not support downgrading iOS. Never has.
Start with a reset: Simultaneously hold down the Home and On buttons until the device shuts down. Ignore the off slider if it appears. Once shut down is complete, if it doesn't restart on it own, turn the device back on using the On button. In some cases it also helps to double click the Home button and close all apps BEFORE doing the reset.
If that doesn't work, you may need do a full restore. -
