PLD - Mais de um layout

Olá Pessoal,
gostaria de saber se é possível imprimir mais de um layout a partir de um documento de marketing, sem a necessidade de mudança do layout padrão. Exemplo: nota fiscal do cliente e romaneio de carga.

Hi,
You can create queries using the Query Generator or the Query Wizard tools.
After you have created your own queries, you can link them to a required print layout.
for user reports.Look at:
Tools --> Queries --> Query Print Layout
Set there your query reports.
Printing User-Defined Queries
After you had linked a user-defined query to a user report template, you can now print it
according to its linked print layout.
There are two ways for printing your user-defined queries.
1. Using the Query Print Layout window:
Select from the upper menu Tools 􀃆 Queries 􀃆 Query Print Layout.
Click the Reports tab page.
Click to highlight the required query you would like to print.
Click on the printer icon or select from the upper menu File 􀃆 Print.
The user-defined query is printed according to its linked print layout.
2. Using the Queries Manager window:
Click the Queries Manager icon on the upper tool bar.
Click to highlight the required query you would like to print.
Click on the printer icon or select from the upper menu File 􀃆 Print.
The user-defined query is printed according to its linked print layout.
Note! You can also print preview user-defined queries. Do so by selecting the Print
Preview option as described in the methods above for printing your query.

PLD, Crystal Reports & Crystal Layout Update History

Dear Experts,
How can I get update history of PLD, Crystal Reports & Crystal Layout.
In RDOC table I get value of Last Update Date of any document but not get history & No of times updation.

Dear Srujal Patel,
There is no log to keep those changes in current design. You may export the table from time to time to have certain images as of historical records.

PLD Check stub-stub layout

Hello Experts, I'm running into a problem trying to adjust the placements of values in my layout to fit an A/P proof check

My problem is having the values shift up and down to match the layout of the check stub. The circled values in the image above, is there any way to move these values lower or higher in height independantly to fit my placement needs? They are placed within the repetitive area

You may check the Vertical Alignment of that printing area to make it top aligned.

Backup a Query Print Layout or PLD form to restore later

How can I backup a PLD or Query Print Layout and save to a drive that will allow me to restore the layouts later on another version of B1?
I am upgrading 2005 to 2007 and during some testing I found the layouts were not saved in it's original form that we created and we had to redo them. I want to be sure I keep the layout as is and only tweak the fields if they have changed at all from 1 version to the next.
Any ideas?

Oh sure CX will work fine but not across DB versions. I need the format "before" I upgrade the DB....then take those forms and restore them or copy them to the new DB "after" upgrade.
I already tried to copy them across DB versions, no luck.
See I have a Check register using QPL that works great, when I do the upgrade from 2005A to 2007A, the layout goes all out of whack and is not the same as it was in 2005A. I had to redo everything in the layout as if it was created again.
I am trying to avoid that by coping the form someplace and seeing if I can restore it back after the fact, then test it.
Does that make sense?

Print layout - Goods issue & Issue for Production

I designed two print layouts separately 1 in Goods issue for Goods issue in inventory module
and 1 in Issue for production for Issue for production in production module.
If i take a print preview or print in Issue for production , it will reflects the print layout designed in Goods issue.

I think, are you duplicate the Goods issue PLD Template to Issue for Production PLD Template on Duplicate Layout Template.
Best, Try to create a New PLD from Issue for Production(System) PLD.

Saving print layout templates

In a future release, would it be possible to have a function whereby you can save your print layouts in a folder, as a backup precaution incase you accidentally delete or alter an original one? At the moment, you can only back the PLD templates up via daily database backups. I have a customer who has spent a very long time perfecting their print layout templates and he thinks this functionality would be very useful and reassuring.

Within 8.8 release, we are introducing new control of 'Report and Layout Management' which enables joint management of PLD and Crystal Reports layouts. This enhances the usability of maintenance of print layouts and should reduce a risk of accidential deletion of the print layout.
Moreover, Crystal Reports can be also saved outside SAP Business One as a separate file (similarly like those for XL Reporter).

Customer Receivables Ageing - post 8.8 upgrade issues with PLD changes

I'm relatively new to SBO. After upgrading to 8.8 (from 2007A) a report developed using PLD before the upgrade is not showing the last Ageing Interval (91+ days) text and value. The report originally reported 30,60,90, 90+ values. The report is being requested without the fourth interval being entered so as to match the PLD Customer Statement Report layout.
Do PLD developed reports need to be revised following an upgrade?

PLD for A/R Invoice over JE

Hi experts,
I have two PLD layouts in Journal Entry tab, one is use for JE printing and one for A/R vouchers printing(with debit and credit column ). When printing A/R invoices, I'll go to accounting tab and set the PLD default to A/R voucher and if i want to print in JE directly im going to set again the default PLD for my JE layout. My problem is i want to directly print the A/R voucher in the A/R invoices tab by not going to accounting tab and changing again the default layout to A/R voucher. I'd tried to copy the layout to the A/R invoices but the others details are not accessible specially the debit and credit. I know that JE and A/R invoice have a different databases, so how i could set the database from JE to be appeared in A/R invoice that i needed for my PLD.

Hi Lean,
Welcome you post on the forum.
You may try set the database from JE to be appeared in A/R invoice by ALT+click to select all tables. However, this is not supported by SAP. If you can make it works now, it may not work when you upgrade your system.
If I were you, I would not try this option.

PLD 'print preview' icon greyed out

Hi All,
I am working on making modifications to a report in PLD. I have started with a standard report and 'saved as' a new report. I would like to preview the report within PLD. When I go to File > Print Preview, Print Preview is 'greyed out'. How do I gain access to print preview in PLD. I am logged into SAP B1 as a super user so I don't think authorizations are the problem. Also, I am able to print preview from the marketing document. (Sales Order > Print Preview).

I never close the PLD when previewing.
i.e I am altering a PL for a sales order.
I open a sales order (any)
click PLD and set the layout i want to alter, as default, then open it in PLD
make the changes and save them, do NOT close PLD
switch back to your sales order and click preview.
changes are now shown.
switch back to PLD if needed.

Preprint AP check - stub/check repetitive area fram size

What is the rule to make each area size to fit the preprinted form? I think each form has certain height for So, Invoice, BOL probalby 720 and width like 600.   I have hard time to ajust the each area to fit with preprinted BOL or AP check.
If I have to print on the bottom of the form, that will be Repoet Footer or Page Footer?
I think two Repetitibe Areas, the first one is for Repetitive detail and the second one is for SubTotal or ColSum total use.
AP Check has Report Header with Adjust Area Height for 32, Repetitive area w/o adj. height 20, then Repetitive area w/o adj. height 188 then Page Footer w/o adj. height 500. How to enlarge first Repetitive area but decreae second Repetibe area while the check portion remain the same size. Should I make the Report Header Adj. Height unchecked?

The following steps are to be done when you use the Preprinted Paper
1.First Measure the Preprinted Paper size (Height & Width) Based on this size
you create your own paper size.
     1.Open Printer & Faxes through Control Panel(Start->Control Panel->Printer & Faxes)
     2.in Menubar Go to File->Server Properties
     3.Put tick Mark on Create a New Form
     4.Choose Units : as Metric
     5.Define the Paper size in Centi meter(Width & Height)
     6.In Form Name field Enter the Name of the Paper size
     7.Click Save Form.
     8.Open the PLD
     9.In Print Layout designer Menu choose the Newly Created Paper size
2.In PLD Layout checked the Area Height adjustment in (Page Header,Repetitive Area,End of
report etc..)

Add new column to SCASE (BADI/EXIT)

Hi Gurus,
I have requirement to add new column to the ALV grid which is shown when you run (SCASE > case > find dispute cases > execute). I tried using CL_EXITHANDLER, found few BADIs but cannot add any new fields to this ALV from any.
Any tips and tricks to find a exit/enhancement/badi ?

Using SDK its not possible to add a new column to the existing system reports. As a work around what u can do is use the PLD to design a layout with the new column.

CrystalConverter and new Database conections

I just converted a PLD to Crystal Reports layout with the CrystalConverter. I see a lot of formula fields. Now I want to add a reference to a table in the SBO database (for example OACT) in the Crystal Reports Layout. I have tried adding the table (OLE DB) but when i add the fields to a details section, the layout comes empty. Any help ?

When you add a table to the report. you have to check the links. Some auto links are not correct. You need manually correct them.
