PLD signature truncate

Dear Expert,
I have created signature in the PLD report footer area as following:
Name of the company
Authorized Signature
But sometimes, it gets truncated. The "Authorized Signature" part goes to the next page while other remains on the same page.
Please help to resolve this asap.

Hi Tripti,
In PLD design try -> Field Properties -> Format -> Line Break -> Adjust to cell and Field height adjustment check box.

Just want to know does anyone know how to truncate last 2 characters formula in PLD? I know the substring formula in PLD is to truncate characters from left, how about from right?
I need to truncate 2 characters from the right for field like Batch No, this field may contain characters and numbers at not fix length. Hope anyone can help soon, thanks.

Signature Bugs and Truncated Email Text

I have recently upgraded to Leopard on my Macbook, iMac and we have Leopard on our studio computers here as well. This morning I was writing a memo for my employer to send out to our staff. He received the email fine with no errors, but when he forwarded the notice out and cc'd me on the message, part of the text was severely truncated in random areas and his signature has bits of code, strange fonts and characters added. The message looks absolutely fine from his sent folder. This doesn't happen with every message but it has occurred fairly often. We have tested it on different email servers and machines running Leopard with the same result.
Is anyone else having this issue? Is it a known bug? Any possible solutions?

Similar problem to mine. We rtoo have upgraded to Leopard. In our Signatures for corporate email we have a jpg Logo with our name, title and contact details below it etc. After shutting down Mail or restarting from an upgrade session, the logo is wiped out and all that's left is a tiny blue square with a question mark in it above our names and addresses etc.

PLD: Line items trauncate in repetitive area

for ex. Line No. Item Code, Discription, Qty, Unit Price, Total
you should put the FORMULA in all FORMULA FIELDS in Repetetive Area Footer.

AND
*IF Repetitive Area Footer fields is blank means that
field should not display in Print AND Repetitive Area Footer decrease in Print*
Do this,
->> Link to all Fields in Repetitive Area Footer.
for example, DocTotal Field.
->> Choose DocTotal Field in Repetitive Area Footer than
->> Goto Properties Window and Link to DocTotal fieldID at General Tab.
->> put the Tick Mark in Area Height Adjustment at Format Tab.
Save and Run the Print Preview.

Adding electronic signatures to the purchase order layout

IF you need to print the signatures to the purchase order layout based on the approvals.
Try this,
->> Scan your signature or require person signature
than paste that signature image to Bitmap Folder on Server.
->> Open the PO PLD.
->> Create 1 Database field and 1 Picture Field in End of Report on PLD.
for Signature
->> Create 1 Picture Field in End of Report on PLD.
->> Click the Browse button and Browse the image File for Signature.
Save and Run the Print Preview.
OR IF you need to print that Signature only based on the Approvals.
Do this,
for ex. Field ID -> F_100
Table -> OPOR - Purchase Order
Column -> WddStatus -Authorization Status
F_100='P'
=> Link to F_100 to Picture Field at General Tap on Properties Window.

To sign together with signature image

I want to sign conventionally by including my signature image. However, when I choose to configure signature appearance, Adobe Reader XI cannot import graphics in jpg, only choice is pdf and signature image came out truncated! So, is it confirm that, if we want to include signature image together with the digital ID's text, we can only use Adobe Acrobat to do it? Appreciate if anyone can help to advise on this. Thanks.

You need Acrobat to import graphics other than PDF when you create a signature appearance.

About 'External data' and 'Procedure' option in PLD

Hi all,
Can u please tell me what is the use of 'procedure' option in PLD.we can get this option when we select any text then in the genral tab of properties if we select field type as 'EXTERNAL DATA' then in the content tab we get source type 'PROCEDURE NAME'.
Please give me example of this.

company logo,Signatures etc., that is of legal importance.
Create company logos's/signatures and run it as a dll file.
Add dll file in procedure name in external data field.

Signature panel 'hangs' when viewing a signed document

Hello and Merry Christmas to everyone,
I am facing a problem when viewing a document ( https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B1wk9toh5e7AekxUcGM0RVc4Z2c/edit?usp=sharing ) with Adobe Reader. The signature panel appears to be frozen (not initialized), and it is not possible to access any signature details at all.
Note that the document contains two invisible signatures. Whenever I remove the second signature manually by truncating the document, the signature panel is shown as expected.
My environment: Windows 8.1 x64, Adobe Reader 11.0.5. Interestingly enough, the document and the signatures are shown correctly by Adobe Reader 9. I am attaching a screen shot of what I am seeing with Adobe Reader 11 below.
It would be great if someone lets me know why this is happening and whether Adobe are going to fix this.

A quick update following my own investigation of the issue. Apparently, the problem is somehow related to annotation objects on the first and only page. Whenever I remove the /Annots entry from the page object (e.g. by renaming it to AnnotX to preserve the overall document structure), both signatures are rendered correctly. In Procedure name u need to link .dll file,Dll files can be created using C++ Programming,
External data is actually field to print secured images like company logo,Higher official signatures which
can be tampered when u saved it on computer.

Signatures on delivery documents

hi all
i am trying to find a way to be able to get signatures of people picking up an order on to the system. for instance, if a customer picks up an order and signs for it, i want to be able to have that signature show up on the delivery pld.
what would be the best approach for this? do let me know.

Hi Prem....
I think you can do it. You can scan the signature at mini size and then create the image type UDF and just attach the scanned sgnature in that UDF and you will get it on to the print......

Email Signature Location Problem

For both my business and personal email addresses I have set up signatures. For the personal Gmail account the signature correctly is placed at the end of the new email I send. For my business email account the signature is incorrectly placed at the end of the email thread and not at the end of the new email I send. How do I correct this problem? Thanks!

I have the same issue and I can only reproduce it when using Mail with Exchange. If I use my me.com account I everything works. In my case I can send a plain text email using both the Exchange and IMAP setup in Mail and anytime I place an attachment in an email the email gets cut off at the attachment and either an ATT00001.c or ATT00001.htm are included that have the remainder of the email thread. I've found that if I place the attachment at the bottom of the email below my signature then they get the entire mail without it being truncated--although the ATT00001.* file is still included. I've seen multiple postings trying to point the finger at Outlook or the client, but in my case I can reproduce the issue by sending email to myself and both the email I receive and the email that is placed in my Sent Items is messed up.

     I need the Indian Rupees format.. the below image shows wrong in last word.. instead of paisa.. it shows hundereths in PLD..
     I used colsum("F_306") and marked as sum in words
    Give me a solution ASAP.

ToWords(Truncate(F_333)) + " and " + ToWords(paisa) + " paisa"
Actually I used
    ColSum("F_306") for totaling in Repetitive Area Footer1 - the field name is F_333.
    So i need sum in words of the F_333 field in Indian format..

!0.1.2 and 10.1.3 releases don't have a tool to maintain user-properties.xml file.
You can use any xml editor or tool to edit that file manually. The file contains extended user/role properties which JAZN security provider (Oracle JAAS implementation) does not support in aforementioned AS releases. However BPEL 11.1.1 release relay on new security framework , Java Platform Security Suite(JPS)) which address that issue. IdentityMenagment from JPS would allow to specify all user properties extensions.

Attachments truncate email messages

When I use Apple's mail program and send attachments; - sometimes the mail gets truncated immediately before the first attachment insert. THere is no error message for the recipient, so it just looks like an oddly truncated text message. I am using a POP server and plain text message formats.

There is no email client that is completely bug free and for such an old/mature email client, Outlook still has a number of glaring bugs.
I'm not sure if this is a bug with Mail or more so with Outlook but the information provided in my previous post remains the same. You gain nothing by inserting attachments within/between message text for the most part and especially when such messages are sent to an Outlook user - regardless if the message gets truncated which may be a Mail bug, a bug with Outlook or a combination. You can't insert attachment within/between message text with Outlook so this should be treated the same way.
Overall it is best to place attachments below all message text including a signature if one is used.
The Sent Windows Friendly Attachments option is designed for one thing only. Removing the Apple resource fork from attached files which are invisible to fellow Mac users.

Trigger a Signature Date when Digital Signature Field is Signed

I'm looking for a way to have a date field populate when a digital signature field is signed on my Adobe Designer Form. The signature technology I'm using does not work seamlessly with Adobe LiveCycle Designer and is unable to add the date when the document is signed. So I was thinking I could call a function to add the date to the date field when the signature field is signed. I just dont know how to do it.

Here is some code that will allow you to check the signature field:
// check to see if Claimant signature field is signed.
var oSOM = claimsign.somExpression; // Returns the full SOM expression i.e. xfa[0].form[0].form1[0]...
var truncSOM = oSOM.substring(15); // Truncating 'xfa[0].form[0]' from SOM to get acroforms name of the field.
var oState = event.target.getField(truncSOM).signatureValidate(); // Get the current field's signed state
In this case the signature field is called claimsign. After running this code the variable oState will conatin a value ....if it is 0 then the field is not signed. So you can add code like this:
if (oState == 0 ) {
     // signature field is not signed
     app.alert("You must sign the form before submitting")
} else {
     //The signature field is signed
     go through your submission process code
