PLD Upper Margin

Setting the 'Upper Margin' in 'Document Properties' seems to have no effect in printed output. Changing margin on 'Page Header' section also produces no changes to printed output. I would like to be able to set the top margin(x) on a form and move everything down by x. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Sam,
I'm not too sure why the margin isn't working. As a workaround you could have a bigger Page Header section. Move your fields down. Then add a blank text field (must be visible) and display it at the top of the page.
The reason for the blank text field is that your Page header will be auto adjusting.
I know there is a setting to stop it auto adjusting in the section properties window but i have had experiences where that doesn't work as it should.

F2180 All-in-one - Labels Upper Margin errors

Wierd - When printing address labels on label paper (A4 - 3w x 7dp) from both Word2003 and OpenOffice, the upper margin is reduced by 10mm and label text consequently misaligned with labels. If I do exactly the same print on plain A4 paper all is correctly aligned. I don't understand. Paper is identical size. I have tried setting different paper types with no effect. Does anyone know solution or have similar problem?

Hi, I've got the same problem, but only with certain makes of labels. If the backing is too slippery, the printer won't load them correctly, but normal printing paper is usually thinner and feeds without problem.
I also have a similar problem with heavier photo papers not feeding correctly.
Have tried contacting HP, but their phone system in UK is not designed to help people!

How to adjust upper margin for cheque amount in digit.

I have to adjust upper margin for cheque amount ,because amount being printed below.
I have done setting is as below.
A2         Meaning    BOI NEW Amount in Digits
Left Margin     14.70   CM           Alignment       LEFT
Right Margin              CM           Line Spacing    1.00    LN
Indent 1st line            CM
Space before             CM
Space After               CM
Please help me to resolve. I have searched on SDN but not found answer .

I can't connect to a projector or large screen, the icon is gone from the upper margin

when i tried to connect to a projector at a business meeting nothing happened, as if the adpater was not connected. We restarded the computer twice and noticed that the little screen that normally appears in the upper bar is no longer there and no matter what we do, nothing.

Ipages - how to set the upper margin on the text box so the text aligns at this point

I can't figure out why there is all this extra white space in the text box on iPages. I want to have the first line of my text be at the top of the text box. I'm not able to pull the top line of the text box down to it.

Pdfs with small text in the upper left margin

When creating pdfs using X from Windows 2010, little bits of text get removed from the page, reduced to very mininscule text, and thrown up into the left upper margin of the page. Why does that happen? How do you stop it from happening?

In LR Prferences try unchecking 'Use Graphics Processor.'
If that works next try upgrading your graphics drivers via AMD, Intel, or Nvida webste for your graphics adapter model.

   for max. utilization of page :
             left margin 0.1 mm
             upper margin 0.1 mm
             width 20.9 cm
             length 29.8 cm

Layout Margins | Second page of section marked 'first page is different'

I have some custom formatting for the first page of a section, marked in Inspector with 'First page is different': with a 3cm upper margin to set text to start below a banner image embedded in the section master.
However the second page of that section is not settable with a separate layout margin, and since the the banner on the second page is different, I need it to be.
Any ideas?

You would have to put the Page Break and Section Break into your Template, so you would begin with two pages and two layouts already there.
You are getting into Page Layout territory here. At some point it's just easier to pre-define the whole document in a Page Layout format. It all depends on where you are going with this.

Printer Margin Control

HI Experts,
I am wondering where do I set the printer to start printing from the top margin?
I created a SAPScript - which I had set the window upper margin to a reasonable value.
And it prints out good in a normal HP printer.
However when I use another printer for continuous printing - the start of print went below the expected.
With this, I conclude that I would not be able to control the upper margin from the SAPScript already, so where should I set it ? SPAD or printer setting?
Kindly advice/guide where should I be looking at?

Pdf Margins

Hi,
I am trying to use BIP to print 1099 forms. The generated output has a big upper margin which causes the address line not to appear in the envelope window.
I cropped the margin in the pdf template but was of no use. In an rtf template we could goto page setup and set the page margins . Can somebody tell me how to control page margins in a pdf template

There is a note on metalink (409204.1). They ask us to crop the final output and print. But this solution is difficult to implement as we print a lot of forms.

Smartforms - Margin Problem

Hi,
I have a big problem wich I try to solve, an smartforms was created and my requeriment is fixed this is almost finish but there is only one thing that I need so solve: There is a Main window with a table wich contains Header, Main Area and Footer, my problem is on Main area where there are one row and three cells (Code, Desccription and Value) that left margin is 0,00 cm for Code but when smartforms is printed, the margin printed on the voucher is not correct.
Please I need a big help!!!

Goto SE71, give the form name and in display mode.
Click on Page Windows. Usually we name all page windows as per the content so look if there is any window with name LOGO.
If not, then see the parameters - Left margin and Upper Margin.
If logo is printed in top left corner of page, left margin should be defined as 0.5 CM or so and Top margin should be defined as 0.5CM or so.
You can use menu Utilities --> Page Layout for more details. This shows the place for the selected window on the page.

u need to go for SPLITTING THE MAIN WINDOW !!!
Main windows in page windows allow you to format text in multiple columns. Define an area in the page window, in which to position the main windows.
Here is the procedure !!
-->Create a page window and assign it to a page.
Choose Edit --> Main windows.
A dialog box appears.
-->Enter values in the fields Area width and Area height in accordance with the input guidelines for main windows.
-->Enter values in the fields Spacing and Number in the Horizontal group if you want to use multiple columns. You can ignore the fields in the Vertical group.
Determine how many columns and line areas are required for label printing. Then enter the corresponding values in the fields in the Horizontal and Vertical groups.
-->The value in the field Left margin varies from main window to main window if multiple columns are used. The following applies:

Left margin of current column + Window width + Horizontal spacing = Left margin of next column
In label printing, the field Upper margin also varies from main window to main window:

Upper margin of current main window + Window height + Vertical spacing = Upper margin of next main window
-->Enter a value in the field Start position.
This is a counter. Enter a starting value which is equal to or greater than 1.
-->The main windows are added to the list.
-->Save your form.

Problem with windows and variable in smartform

i create smartform for printing tax document and found problem.
1)
i create layout in form like this.
 {Main Window}
 <<<< Data to print
 <<<< secondary Window
 <<<< secondary Window
with many data in table, so this form will take 10 page up to print. i found and showed in every page.
in my solution *i want to display and on last page after {Main Window} Only*. how to resolve this.
2) follow to 1st question, can i place position of each window in dynamic? +like 's position is under {Main Window} 2 cm.+ instead of specific position left margin , upper margin *or should i create other page and place and .*
3) i create 2 variables (sum1 type p , sum2 type p ) for keep sum of tax in table that show in each page and write it at end of each page. i want to clear data in these 2 variables when system create new page and start to keep sum of value again. i create program line node under {Main Window} after but don't know which code or syntax to write.how to code this?

1) On the 'Conditions' tab of your WIndow3 & WIndow4 just click the check box
'Only After End of Main Window'. It will always be printed at the last after your main window is finished.
2) And if you don't want your window3 & window4 in a fixed place than instead of new windows do the same thing inside your main window creating a new template or anything as per your requirement and place it after your main table.
3) For clearing the fields, do it like this, in the program lines write the code below:
IF G_PAGE NE SFSY-PAGE. " declare g_page with initial value '0'
 CLEAR field1.
 CLEAR field2.
 G_PAGE = SFSY-PAGE.
ENDIF.

To create a logo in SAP printouts just do the following
1. Save a Logo using Imaging, Paint shop Pro or Corel Draw as Tiff file.
2. Run program RSTXLDMC and enter the following parameters
 Enter file name C:\COMPLOGO.TIF
 UOM CM
 Line width for text 132
 Text name ZHEX-MACRO-COMPLOGO
 Text ID ST
 Text language = E
 Number of Tiff gray levels (2,4,9) 2
3. Then Create a new window 'COMP' with attributes;
Window COMP description Company Logo
Left margin 7.00 CH window width 10.00 CH
Upper margin LN window height 8.00 LN
Finally in the text element, mention
 /: INCLUDE 'ZHEX-MACRO-COMPLOGO' OBJECT TEXT ID ST LANGUAGE 'E'.
Please note that if object name is not indicated as 'ZHEX... the logo may not be printed!
You will not be able to see the logo in a test print. The same will be printed in actual printout.
