I'm going on holiday so I am going to buy a power adaptor. The one I am planing to buy also comes with a fire wire cable, however whenever I charge my ipod through the computer I use USB, will I still be able to charge my ipod using the included fire wire cable eventhough I have been using USB? Thank you Klaus1.The large font, I copied and pasted from my mail box.I'm visually impaired...not to a huge degree but it helps to use the large font.I believe you are right about the copyright on the imac stuff but if facebook decide otherwise, you have to reply electronically to their challenge.If you can't provide a reference directly from the copyright owner then they remove the video.I believe this is a programmed response and no human is involved which now makes it impossible for me to get my video uploading restored.They detect added soundtrack automatically and then challenge.There are many others in the same boat and facebook will not communicate.They have various discussion sites on which I have left messages including Mark Zuckerbergs own facebook but I don't think anyone from facebook ever reads them.I intend to start a second facebook which I can use purely to get my videos uploaded as a lot of my friends enjoy them BUT don't want fall foul of their programming again.If only iMac would put something on the net to this effect.I think it is so unfair that with modern technology it is impossible to contact these large conglomerates personally and receive an email response.I tried emailing [email protected] but I got a failure notice.If you have any ideas on how to get verification from apple direct, I would be very grateful.Thank You.

Sky have the rights to show new HBO shows first, but the deal doesn't mean that no other providers will be able to show HBO programmes.

Two silly questions that need an answer

1) When I drag something into the trash, it asks 'The item ______ will be deleted immediately. Are you sure you want to continue?
Where is the setting in the finder that just places it in the trash and lets me empty the trash when I want? I have looked everywhere, finder prefs, etc.
2) When I want to archive something to a CD, there are times where the little 'arrow' comes up and only places an 'alias' of what I want to copy on the CD. I think I can avoid this my pressing 'option' but why can't I just copy it to a CD without doing this. I know I have done it in the past.

Yes, if you actually want to save it until you manually enter the Trash.
I'm not sure exactly what the reasoning behind this is but it seems to be common among operating systems (at least Mac OS and Windoze). My system at work is a Wintel and wants to immediately delete trashed items from network drives (and even floppies) as soon as you trash them.
I think that the problem is that the information that the file/folder is trashed has to be saved somewhere. If it's saved on the network drive, the next person to log onto the drive will see the item in the trash which would allow them to empty it (messing with your intention to "save" the trashed item). If the info is saved on your local drive, someone else logging onto the network drive wouldn't know that the item is trashed and, for them, it might just dissapear at any time (when you empty your trash). Therefore, it seems easier to just trash the item immediately and avoid all this confusion.

Unlocked iPhone questions that need to be clarified please!

Hi! I have read different questions and responses, however I am still really confused/need more information.
I just purchased an unlocked iPhone 5 (not Verizon branded) from Apple. My contract with Verizon ends mid October. I want to switch to T-mobile ($70.00 per month) so that I can use my new unlocked iPhone with a SIM card. I intend on only being in the US for a year and then I am going back abroad to work. This is why I need to have an unlocked phone. In the long run this will save me money from having to find an unlocked phone wherever I go.
From my understanding Verizon can unlock a Verizon branded iPhone but there are certain requirements. What are they?
I would be able to use this on GSM networks worldwide right?
And is the phone completely unlocked or are there some things that are still locked (like access to LTE)?
I know that Verizon only works on CDMA so if a Verizon iPhone is unlocked then how will it work on GSM?
So my overall question is what is a better deal when I am working abroad: Keeping my factory unlocked iPhone and switching to another network provider or getting a new Verizon branded iPhone and staying with Verizon?

Ok I'm sorry if this is on the website somewhere, but I'm afraid I do not have the time to check. I had an itunes gift card for like $15. So I bought abotu $10 worth of songs on itunes but then we had to empty our computer and start new becasue it literally died. I noticed that I can login on itunes and see my purchase history and everything but I was wondering If I still get the music I bought. I didn't even have a chance to put it on my ipod and my computer died. I clicked on various things to try and figure it out and I've even looked some small things up on it, but I'm running low on time because I will be leaving state and I wanted to take my Ipod...I was wondering If ANYBODY can help me...

One SIMPLE, SIMPLE question that the answer seem to be no whre IN PLAIN ENGLISH! What do you have to do to have two of more tabs open at the same time. Just like ANY OTHER BROWSER LETS YOU DO! Ya know....so you can drag and drop things like pics etc.

For Pete's sake. This is not rocket sience. What more details do you want. I want two tabs OPEN at the same time so I can copy from one to the other or drag and drop from one to the other.

You can copy text and hover that selected text with the left mouse button down on another tab on the tab bar until that tab opens and drop the text in a text field in that tab. You need to make sure that that text area is visible because you can't scroll the page. You can also tear off that tab (temporarily) to a new window and resize them to see both windows. Move the tab back to the other window once you are done if you prefer that.

Superviews seem to be to do with object view hierarchies, though I've never used one myself.
SQL datatypes are documented in the SQL Reference. VARCHAR has nothing to do with backward compatibility (if anything, it is for forward compatibility). Don't use it.

Write in clear, grammatical, correctly-spelled language

So expressing your question clearly and well is important. If you can't be bothered to do that, we can't be bothered to pay attention. Spend the extra effort to polish your language. It doesn't have to be stiff or formal - in fact, hacker culture values informal, slangy and humorous language used with precision. But it has to be precise; there has to be some indication that you're thinking and paying attention.
Spell, punctuate, and capitalize correctly. Don't confuse "its" with "it's", "loose" with "lose", or "discrete" with "discreet". Don't TYPE IN ALL CAPS; this is read as shouting and considered rude. (All-smalls is only slightly less annoying, as it's difficult to read. Alan Cox can get away with it, but you can't.)
More generally, if you write like a semi-literate b o o b you will very likely be ignored. So don't use instant-messaging shortcuts. Spelling "you" as "u" makes you look like a semi-literate b o o b to save two entire keystrokes.

A few years ago I bought LR 3 last year I upgraded it to LR 4. The question I need answered is this: I had to buy a new computer and when I downloaded LR 4 I placed the serial number as requested, but it needs the SSN to LR 3. I don't have it and have it.

I cannot locate my earlier light room 3 serial number so how can I obtain it?
