PLEASE add the ability to rename layers in Muse!

Adobe, please allow us to rename ANY layer in Muse so we can know what each layer is. This is a very basic feature of nearly every Adobe software available and should be included in Muse ASAP.
It is so difficult to find objects when the majority of them are defaulted to names like "rectangle" and "composition". Help us save time with this simple but extremely important feature!

I totally agree. I have submitted it as an idea for a feature request here: Rename child layers (e.g: Rectangle to banner_fill or whatever!)
Do vote for it and mention it to others who use Muse and get them to vote, even if it is a down vote as would be good to get a better idea of where this lies in terms of user "want", for us and the Muse team.

    CS6 has search capabilities in the Layers panel. You can search by layer type, name, Layer Effect, Blend Mode, Layer Atribute (i.e. whether a layer is visible or not) and by Assigned Layer colors)

  • Please add the ability to add multiple folders to the assets folder in order to better organize large numbers of files.

    Please add the ability to add multiple folders to the assets folder in order to better organize large numbers of files.

    Hello KDLadage
    Thank you for your recommendation. I understand the challenges of managing large numbers of files on the My Files page. I also understand the need to preserve project files.
    Perhaps a compromise would be to create an Archive tab under My Files. Previous versions and retired project files could then be automatically moved into this holding area when a new version is published, thus preserving the files in a separate area that is still accessible to the author.
    I will submit this suggestion to our product management team to consider as a future enhancement.

  • Please provide the ability to package up a Muse project.

    please provide the ability to package up a Muse project so that one can more easily handover the project along with all linked assets to someone else to continue the work on the Muse platform.

    I've thought of asking for this also! Like pack-and-go. Although Muse sorta "does" package things if you export the entire project to html, it would be nice to not have to do THAT first, and then bring the Muse file and assets/images into an entirely new folder.

    Thank you so much for your help! I am so relieved. I will have explain how to do this to my client, but a big weight is off my back!
    A long learning process and actually such an easy fix. So glad you responded. Again thank you...

  • Add the Ability to sort in different ways like Bridge

    Please, I beg you - let the final Lightroom have the ability to be able to sort in the same different ways that Bridge allows - including a manual sort.

  • Feature request: please give the ability to close all background apps at once!?

    Hello. Please oh please give us the ability to close all open/running apps with one click or swipe. I, like many users, like to close running apps (much like on my computer) to keep my ipad/iPhone running fast. I know you guys say that background apps are put on pause and don't slow things down but that is simply not the case in real world usage. All the time my iPhone or iPad becomes sluggish and if I swipe 30 times to close all the apps the sluggishness goes away. I like the simple and easy to use ios, but a little more control for the user would be very beneficial. This, I would guess, is one of the main reasons one would get an android device instead, because they require for fine tune control. Giving us this feature, amoung a few others, would be a win win. The end user get more what they need, and apple steals away (or keeps) more loyal apple buyers.

  • Please Add the 7610

    Please, Please can you add the Nokia 7610 as one of the
    supported phones for the Flash Lite player 2.1
    The Flash Lite 2 player worked great on mine and I know loads
    of people who still have this popular phone... Can this be added to
    the pkg file please... !

    Hi,
    Sorry, I mis read the question... Yes I have installed the
    2.1 player on my 7610 but itcomes up with a warning message that
    the phone is not supported. I think this is probably a SIS install
    message because Adobe have selected individual phone type ID's in
    the PKG file rather than picking a full version type instead.
    So, I was just wondering if Adobe could add the 7610 on to
    the PKG list.
    FL2 worked really well on my phone and as a result all of my
    apps worked great too.
    Any chance of maybe adding all of the phones that supported
    FL2 to the list for the second edition please !!!

  • Add the ability to manipulate image data early during the import process

    Following many discussions about the inability to cleanly support aspect ratio in LR, it would be useful to have the ability to interviene in the import process (early) and manipulate the exif data. It is possible to attach a metadata preset during import but presets do not give the ability to change the aspect ratio and cropping tags.
    This feature could have many other uses such as allowing more complex naming schemes, copy location, etc.

    Perhaps your post would be better received in the Lightroom forum? (this is the SDK forum).
    Or perhaps better still, the feedback forum: http://feedback.photoshop.com/photoshop_family/topics/import_actionshttp://feedback.photoshop.com/photoshop_family/topics/new
    SDK-wise: one can easily intervene via plugin and apply whatever transformations pre-import that one could think of...

  • Can't rename layers in Muse CC

    I used to be able to. What gives? I have rebooted my mac and still nothing. No other programs running. Double clicking does not open the text for renaming.

  • Please add a no-sign-in feature for Muse in Enterprise

    We install Muse in a multimedia lab for our university, in order to provide a wonderfully easy web design tool.
    Our students and faculty are put off and confused by the login screen and the inconvenience of needing to create an adobe ID before accessing the program (and having to remember their Adobe password and sign in on every new machine). Would you guys be willing to consider a configuration option for enterprise users where the following changes occur:
    +Upon launch, Muse would be logged into a generic university-wide account, for use with typekit. This account would be pre-configured during installation
    +The Publish option for connecting to Business Catalyst would be greyed out, with a tooltip reading "To publish to your business catalyst, please log in with your adobe id"
    +Individual users could log into their adobe accounts, replacing the generic login for their user profile only, on that machine
    In exchange for these changes, I can offer to pre-populate the minds of the next generation with Adobe software usage habits...

    Really?? That'd be great news, then! (Sorry for the generalizations)
    I will have to check on this, and get back to you. I'm doing multimedia teaching--the guy who configured the install assured me that a "no sign-in option" wasn't available in August when he packaged the deployment.
    We're on a CC Enterprise license; I'll ask our deployment guys to make absolutely sure that they are using the correct installer.

  • How to add the ability to put EL expressions in Navigation Rules

    I had a need to dynamically determine what page to return to in a JSF application. There has to be an easier way, but here's how I wanted to do it. I wanted to put an EL expression in my <to-view-id> nav rules in the JSF config file (e.g. faces-config.xml). This isn't allowed. So I built my own custom ViewHandler to do it.
    1) Define the ViewHandler in faces-config.xml:
         <application>
              <view-handler>com.msd.tts.pluggable.MyDynamicViewHandler</view-handler>
         </application>2) Create the class:
    package com.msd.tts.pluggable;
    import java.io.IOException;
    import java.util.Locale;
    import javax.faces.*;
    import javax.faces.application.ViewHandler;
    import javax.faces.component.UIViewRoot;
    import javax.faces.context.*;
    import javax.faces.el.ValueBinding;
    import com.sun.faces.util.Util;
    * Adds ability to put EL expressions in the <to-view-id> Navigation Rules in JSF
    * configuration file (faces-config.xml).

    public class MyDynamicViewHandler extends ViewHandler {
         * The original handler we are customizing.
        private ViewHandler prevHandler = null;
        /** Creates a new instance of MappingViewHandler. By including
         * a parameter of the same type, we encourage the JSF framework
         * to pass a reference of the previously used ViewHandler. This way
         * we can use all the previous functionality and override only the
         * method we are interested in (in this case, the getActionURL() method).
         public MyDynamicViewHandler(ViewHandler prevHandler) {
              this.prevHandler = prevHandler;
         @Override
         public String getActionURL(FacesContext context, String viewId) {
              return prevHandler.getActionURL(context, viewId);

              return prevHandler.calculateRenderKitId(context);
         @Override
         public UIViewRoot createView(FacesContext context, String viewId) {
              return prevHandler.createView(context, viewId);
         @Override
         public String getResourceURL(FacesContext context, String path) {
              return prevHandler.getResourceURL(context, path);
         @Override
         public void renderView(FacesContext context, UIViewRoot viewToRender)
                   throws IOException, FacesException {
              String result = viewToRender.getViewId();
              if (Util.isVBExpression(viewToRender.getViewId())) {
                   ValueBinding vb = context.getApplication().createValueBinding(viewToRender.getViewId());
                   result = vb.getValue(context).toString();
              if (result.charAt(0) != '/')
                   throw new IllegalArgumentException("Illegal view ID " + result + ". The ID must begin with '/'");
              viewToRender.setViewId(result);
              prevHandler.renderView(context, viewToRender);
         @Override
         public UIViewRoot restoreView(FacesContext context, String viewId) {
              return prevHandler.restoreView(context, viewId);
         @Override
         public void writeState(FacesContext context) throws IOException {
              prevHandler.writeState(context);
    }3) Use EL in navigation rules:
         <navigation-rule>
              <from-view-id>/CommonForm.jsp</from-view-id>
              <navigation-case>
                   <to-view-id>#{bean.caller}</to-view-id>
              </navigation-case>
         </navigation-rule>The "bean.caller" method will have saved the page to go back to.
    Comments are welcome. I just didn't see any other way to dynamically go back to an arbitrary page.
    Thanks.

    CraigRPeters wrote:
    Comments are welcome.Nice stuff. But that means that navigation is hardwired in the backing bean instead of faces-config.xml. Forget this comment if you've maintained a propertiesfile/configurationfile for that.
    I just didn't see any other way to dynamically go back to an arbitrary page.You can declare more than one from-outcome and/or from-action for one from-view-id.

  • Wishlist item for future models: Please add the track point (red button) on keyboard

    Dear Lenovo,
    We purchased the S10 Ideapad for travel and it is wonderful for this.  I am enrolled in online courses so I have to always be tethered to a computer with internet access.  The Ideapad is fantastic for this use.
    One feature that I miss from my R62 Thinkpad is the red button in the keyboard.  By adding this feature to future Ideapads, it would be the best of both worlds!  Increased functionality and portability - which is why laptops are becoming the standard for business and school travel.  If the smaller models had this feature it would truly be a kick-butt machine, in my opinion.
    Please pass this suggestion on to the developement department for consideration.  I like this model very much (in fact I am writing on it now), but not having the track point is like not having coffee in the morning.  It's a very rude awakening.
    Best wishes to Lenovo for 2009!
    Lesa Hall

    I like it as well, liked it on my Toshiba Portege 3600 back in 1995 even better, but do not get your hopes up-the Trackpoint (tm) is the jewel of the Lenovo crown and the price point of the keyboard assembly + the redesign involved, basically rules it out for a machine in the sub $700 range.
