Please allow us to use IOS 6 icons on IOS 7
IIs it possible to have a choice to use icons from ios6 instead of ios7? The new IOS7 icons are big and poorly designsed meant for children.

You can't back up to iCloud until you update to iOS 5 or higher. You will have to back up your iPod on your computer using iTunes. Update iTunes on your computer to the latest version, then connect your iPod to your computer, open iTunes, if iTunes give you a pop-up asking if you want to update your iPod, decline. Then click on the name of your iPod in iTunes, go to File>Devices>Transfer Purchases to transfer any purchased media to your iTunes library. Next, go to the Summary tab of your iTunes sync settings and click on Back Up Now to back up your iPod on your computer.
When it's done backing up, click on Check for Update (or Update) on the Summary tab of your iTunes sync settings. Allow your iPod to update, and leave it connected to your computer. At the end, it will restart and give you the option to restore to the iTunes backup you made earlier. Choose this option to restore your backup and sync your apps and other iTuens media to your phone.

Can anyone please help? Every time I start up my imac OSX 10.6 desktop my Aperture 3 programme opens up without being requested. Is it possible to stop this happening and only allow Aperture to open by using the desktop icon? Thank you for any assistance anyone may be able to give.

William's solution was much easier - just for completeness sake: The preferences panes to edit your startup items moved between the Mac OS X updates: I forgot that the "Users&Groups" preference pane used to be called "Users" in Mac OS X 10.6; it is the panel that you use to create new User accounts; and earlier systems had a separate preferences panel "Login" to enable and to disable the applications that are launched at login. Both are now combined in "Users&Groups". Sorry for sending you on a wild goose chase with the wrong Preferences panel.

Please do anyhow. .anything ...you are the creater of apple.. I know you can do it. .please do anything that iphone 3g will support ios 5 ro greater than that..The 3G was discontinued over 2yrs ago.
The 3GS was only discontinued about a month ago.
Apple made the decision that the 3G would not get anything newer than 4.2.1 because of reasons only they know.
Griping about it is pointless.
Speculating about why is against the terms of use of these forums.
The device is ancient... either accept that it will never get an update and live with it or buy something newer. -
I am using iOS 7.0.4 and since the upgrade, I no longer have the airplay function or icon on my iPad. I want to use the AppleTV with the iPad in my classroom, but the Airplay icon is gone from the Controll. Can anyone help me to fix this PLEASE? I have updated the software on the AppleTV, and both the AppleTV and iPad are on the same network. I also restarted the router! Still no icon for the Airplay.

Rather than switching to Apple, use a smartphone that WILL sync with your calendar and contacts - a Windows or Android phone. iPhones do sync with Apple products nearly flawlessly, but they don't play nice with other OS's.
Android works well with Google; and Windows works well with, well, Windows and Microsoft products. Android and Windows do cooperate somewhat. -

No, since the iPad 2 is iOS 8 compatible it can only be updated to iOS 8. Apple does not support upgrading to interim iOS versions, and removes those files from the servers when a new version is released. The only path for that iPad 2 is iOS 8.0.2.

I have an iPhone 4 using iOS 7.1.2. On my home screen at the email icon in red it shows I have 11,193 emails to be read. I have no mail in Inbox, Drafts, Sent, or Trash. Where did this come from and how do I get rid of it. The number is printed in read on top of the blue and white emaiI icon. I contacted my cable company and through their website I can check my email. In doing this it showed I had 25 unread emails. Also, my iPad 2 is receiving emails fine. So the problem is with the iPhone 4. What can I do to get rid of the number and make my mail operational?

I would start with taking a look at the settings to make sure that you are able to send and receive messages. If everything looks good then the next step would be to remove the accounts and add them back in. Did you move to iOS 8 via iTunes? Your photos should all be on your iPhone 5s without any issues even if you updated via WiFi. The update should have no impact on your photos other than to have moved any photos in your former Camera Roll to your Photos. When opening the Photo App you should see Photos and Albums available at the bottom of the screen. You can also look at Settings>General>About and looking down the list your should see the word Photos and a Count at the right. This count should represent all of the photos in your iPhone.
