Please CL release a good driver this month so we can enjoy the upcoming DX10 ga
nVidia had been doing a pretty good job in improving their driver. They now have a working DX0 SLI 8800 driver even though its performance is still behind XP performance. They are at least releasing drivers about once per month.
What about CL? The current XFI driver is not cutting it. You cant possibly believe this is the final Vista driver we are to have to use right? I have been reading the forum and I find no mention of a new driver to be released. There are no beta drivers either. I bought the game DiRT and it is unplayable in Vista due to CLs XFI driver. Its fine in XP. I just want to know where we stand at getting support for our cards and ultimately whether we can use Vista or not?
If you can get past the fact the Prelude will be X-fi dri'ven, its a **bleep** fine looking piece of hardware. I think creative might be on the right path liscensing out the x-fi processor and letting sombody else develop the card. Until now CL has manufactured its cards in their entirety and that has provewn to be a very expensi've way to do business, complete propriety is not the way to go financially, I see the release of the x-fi chip to third parties as corporate re-structuring to some degree. Personally, it does not really mater to me who owns what license as long as the hardware works, and works well. There are some other cards being developed and they too will hit the streets soon (cannot mention them here) But they are out there. I spoke to a tech representati've at meridian a couple weeks ago and basically explained that I would not buy their card either if the driver support was going to be anything like what we have suffered from CL over the present X-fi, and he explained the drivers would be skinned way down as all they need to be is functional, and the software was all their baby. We'll see what happens. And if this card does not pan out, another long time player in the computer field is releasing an awesome looking piece of equipment this fall. So, all may not yet be lost ....

Hi. I am one of the very unhappy people who can't use the iPad for recording since getting ios7. The apple forum is replete with stories like mine: ios6 recording was quiet - ios7 is noisy. That depends on whether spriden_pidm is unique, and on what you want for results.
Whenever you have a problem, post a little sample data (CREATE TABLE and INSERT statements, relevamnt columns only) for all tables, and the results you want from that data.
If you can illustrate your problem using commonly available tables (such as those in the scott or hr schemas) then you don't have to post any sample data; just post the results you want.
Either way, explain how you get those results from that data.
Always say which version of Oracle you're using.
It looks like you're doing something similiar to the following.
Using the emp and dept tables in the scott schema, produce one row of output per department showing the highest salary in each job, for a given set of jobs:

This seems to be analagous to what you're doing. The roles played by sortest_pidm, sortest_tesc_code and sortest_test_score in your sortest table are played by deptno, job and sal in the emp table. The roles played by spriden_pidm, id and name in your spriden table are played by deptno, dname and loc in the dept table.
It sounds like you already have something like the query below, that produces the correct output, except that it does not include the dname and loc columns from the dept table.

By the way, you don't need so many sub-queries. You're using the inner sub-query to compute the MAX, and the outer sub-query to compute rn. Analytic functions are computed after aggregate fucntions, so you can do both in the same sub-query like this:

If you Google ipod nano 6th generation manual, you can download the PDF manual. Here's a quote from page 19:
Transfer purchased content to another computer:
1 Open iTunes on the other computer and choose Store > Authorize This Computer.
2 Connect iPod nano to the newly authorized computer.
3 In iTunes, choose File > Transfer Purchases from iPod.
Songs that are not from the iTunes store can be copied to the new computer, and you just have to do File>Add to Library to get them into iTunes. And if you don't plan to continue using your old computer, you should deauthorize it because you only get 5 authorizations for iTunes store purchases, and this will cancel out the authorization on the old computer. -

I am not sure what is your computer model, since the description is not clear.
I am wondering if your computer has onboard video, for you to be able to test the onboard video with your monitor.
If that would work, that would mean that possibly the system board or the PCI slot could not be working.
Let me know if you have try this out, if possible in your case, if not let me know the model anyway just to see what else i can suggest.

iphoto message is "The volume for this photo cannot be found." I can see the pictures but cannot move them?
The "volume" is referring to the picture's location, i.e. hard drive, etc. In any case there is an iPhoto forum where those experts are. Post there.

I recently upgraded my MacBook from Moutain Lion to Maverick.After upgrading I can not open the iPhoto.Whenever I try to open I get the message --You can't open the application "iPhoto" because it is not supported on this type of Mac.Tell me how to solve the problem?
To re-install iPhoto
1. Put the iPhoto.app in the trash (Drag it from your Applications Folder to the trash)
2. Download it from the App Store to reinstall It's on your Purchases List* there.
For older versions that have been installed from Disk you'll need these additional steps:
2a: On 10.5: Go to HD/Library/Receipts and remove any pkg file there with iPhoto in the name.
2b: On 10.6: Those receipts may be found as follows: In the Finder use the Go menu and select Go To Folder. In the resulting window type
/var/db/receipts/
2c: on 10.7 or later they're at
/private/var/db/receipts
A Finder Window will open at that location and you can remove the iPhoto pkg files.
3. Re-install.
If you purchased an iLife Disk, then iPhoto is on it.
If iPhoto was installed on your Mac when you go it then it’s on the System Restore disks that came with your Mac. Insert the first one and opt to ‘Install Bundled Applications Only.
*Sometimes iPhoto is not visible on the Purchases List. it may be hidden. See this article for details on how to unhide it.

iPhoto the application and the iPhoto Library are two different parts of the iPhoto programme. So, reinstalling the app should not affect the Library. BUT you should always have a back up before doing this kind of work. Always. -

When I am using Premiere Elements 13 I get a message that pops up "There is no disk in the drive" I click on it and it keeps coming back "very annoying", but about three months ago it happened to me and I was told to change the file name from OldFilm.AEX to OldFilm.AEXold. Well now the file is back in Folder OldFilm.AEX. Here is a screen shot the files are highlighted.What should I do now to correct this once and for all, or can I? Thank you for your time.

I would do another rename to disable or just delete all the OldFilm.AEX and OldFilm.AEXOLD in that NewBlue Folder.
If you do, please let me know if that OldFilm.AEX regenerates itself the next time you open Premiere Elements 13.
Here is the strange story...at least from my Premiere Elements 13 Windows perspective...never had the No Disc error issue
Here are some details to sort through trying to figure out why you have 2 OldFilm.AEX file in the NewBlue Folder.
1. The original OldFilm.AEX file of Premiere Elements 13 has the date of 9/4/2014 (just before the version was released on 9/24/2014).
After the 13.1 update is done (whenever date), that OldFilm.AEX file has the date of 1/31/2015. I first saw notification of the 13.1 Update
release early in February 2015.
2. Now in Premiere Elements 13.1, if I take my OldFilm.AEX (date 1/31/2015) and disable it by renaming it to OldFilm.AEXOLD, close out of there, and reopen
the program, the OldFilm.AEX is not seen to regenerate. The OldFilm.AEXOLD remains there as its lone self.
3. So, I am thinking that your OldFilm.AEXOLD in the screenshoot is "original equipment" that you disabled to get rid of No disc error.
Why the OldFilm.AEX is there also is not clear, but the dating on it suggests that it came along with the 13.1 Update.
Bottom line: let us try the deletion or disabling one more time and see what happens.

I notice from other postings on the web that I am not alone and that this problem has been around for some time.
My web search found no definitive solution or any official response from Apple.
I will be very grateful for solution to this annoying and persisting error message.

For the past few days, I suddenly can't watch any YouTube videos in Firefox without having the video driver crash every few seconds. The screen freezes too, and I have a hard time getting my cursor to the "X" to close the tab. One time it was so bad my computer crashed and rebooted.
I am able to watch the same videos in Internet Explorer 8 without any problems. I am also able, as far as I know, to watch videos in Firefox on other sites like CNN.com without any problems.
My computer information below looks correct. It's a Gateway Model#MX6453, my video driver is an ATI Radeon Xpress 1150.I fixed this by disabling hardware acceleration. YouTube videos seem to work fine now.

I had to go to a site other than YouTube that had flash content (like a video on CNN.com), right-clicked on the flash video, selected "Settings" on the menu, then unchecked "Enable hardware acceleration" on the display tab. For good measure I closed Firefox and opened it again. Since then no more driver errors. (crosses fingers)
