Custom network settings are not an option in firefox os 1.3. A moderator (guigs2) stated that it would possibly be supplied in 2.0. I use openDNS to filter my child's internet use which require these settings.
If 2.0 will not have this feature, can I alter the network settings through the host file, and if so how?

Thank you for the prompt reply. Basically, opendns replaces the default dns server provided by the isp. This is done by specifying "address only" for the DHCP. Hopefully the attached image will be more helpful than my description!
The image is of network connection settings in a desktop computer, but android and iphone have similar menus when "modify network" is selected by long pressing the network name in android or by tapping the arrow next to the name on an iphone or ipad. (The image should have the box checked "require IPv4 address...")

The iPhone bought unlocked from the Apple store in the US will work in Brazil on GSM. Nevertheless the LTE frequencies might be different.
Be aware that:
You will NOT be able to order from the US Apple online store. You will have to go to a physical Apple store in the US.
The warranty is only valid in the US and you will not be able to get warranty service in Brazil.
With all of that, why not buy the iPhone in Brazil?

Please confirm that stubs are thread-safe

Can someone please confirm that if one is to invoke the same remote method from more than one thread in a client application that one does not need to get multiple remote stubs for the same RMI server object. As long as the implementation of the remote method is thread safe, everything okay, correct?
In otherwords, are remote stubs them selves thread safe? I always assumed they were.

Stubs are threadsafe. The reason is that a second concurrent invocation via the same stub will use a new TCP connection. I took this up with Sun once and the response was along the lines 'if it doesn't say it isn't thread-safe, it's thread-safe'.
It's the method implementation at the server that isn't thread-safe, unless you make it so.

You can sync with onee at a time. Syncing to another will erase the current content.
Copy everything from your backup copy of your old computer to your new one.

You could try changing the settings in System Preferences/Security & Privacy/General/Advanced/Require an Administator password to access locked preferences
But this will affect all Preference settings.

if you try to install an app that depends on adobe air, you should be prompted to download and install adobe air (unless it's already installed).

Thanks! I forgot to add, I have debonded and rebonded the bluetooth in car and phone and have carried out 3 restores on the phone in my ITunes. All to no avail. I have also jsut spent £40 on a lead from Ford that has made no difference too! I went to them today to request a software upgrade on my car as I though perhaps the lack of connectivity in the car was down to the car being behind the iOS5 software but was informed there was no need for an upgrade and this problem is purely an apple problem! Is there any way around the downgrade? Or are apple gong to resolve this problem at all??
