However, if the phone has been previously hacked to provide unlocking, the fact that you have updated it has now re locked it. It is possible that it might never be ale to be properly unlocked.

    but released with the non-retina display and this put me down a lot and I didnt buy this one at all.

    There are a few "phablets", small tablets that are also phones, but Apple does not make one. Thus far these "phablets" are not proving to be very popular, but if you think one would meet your needs, by all means look into them.

    In terms of a refund, what does it say on the app's description page in the store (a lot say that refunds aren't given) ? But you can try contacting iTunes Support and see if they will refund or credit you : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption

  • Please cancel my auto-renewal

    Basically, it was a good deal when I couldn't afford Photoshop and Lightroom, but now paying $600/year (and rising I assume) for the rest of my life to Adobe doesn't sound very viable either. I love Adobe products but unfortunately I'll have to jump ship and I want to cancel my auto-renewal once my subscription expires January 1, 2014.
    Only problem is that there's no option to cancel the auto-renewal and the service reps arn't allowed to cancel the renewal for you! It's quite shocking there's no option to cancel my auto-renewal. It's clear what the intentions are.
    My service rep told me I can cancel only AFTER the subscription renews, and I hope you can see why that's worrysome. I don't want to call up January 2, 2014 and ask you guys to cancel my auto-renewal, only to be told that my year-long subscribtion already started and that I was stuck in another year, and if I wanted to cancel I'd have to pay those monthly fees.
    More disconcertingly, my service rep told me incorrect information. Here's how the conversation went:
    Him: You can cancel anytime January or February.
    Me: Really? But if i cancel Feb I'll already be two months into another yearlong subscription!
    Him: That's okay, Adobe offers a free 30 day trial.
    Me: Okay... but even so February would be after that period.
    Him: Okay hold please.
             So you can cancel the day the new subscription starts.
    Me: Okay...
    I hope you can see how suspicious all this sounds. Please cancel my auto-renew. I don't trust to canceling my subscription AFTER my new one starts (like i was told to) and expect to not get fined.
    Please don't post a link to some adobe support page telling me about auto-renew. I already read people's responses to that on other threads.

    You can cancel an annual membership 30 days before or after your annual renewal date without any penalty.
    I will look into your case and address this with the agent.

  • Subscription Renewal Issue.

    I renewed my subscription and paid it thru Paypal to start from today, 26 July. All seemed fine, got the email "We've delivered your order", then got the Paypal notification email that my payment succeeded. But then, 4 minutes later, I got an email saying "Your subscription has been successfully cancelled" and that my subscription will cease at the end of this month!! What has happened here? My paypal is tied to my current bank account and I certainly had not cancelled my subscription. Thanks

    Now for some more general feedback ...
    1. There is no closed-loop verification of an email address, which is a bit poor. This means that an attacker can maliciously sign a victim up for all sorts of goodies against their will. It also means it becomes possible to make the mistake I did.
    2. Not being able to edit the email address ... Hmm, I think people out there are hurting
    3. Not being able to delete your own account is a bit bizarre.
    Closed loop verification means
    1. The user signs up & supplies an email address.
    2. The system generates a random code and puts it in an email to the alleged address (or puts the code into a link in an email).
    3. The user must take a specific action (such as clicking the link or visiting a web page and supplying the code) to complete the registration process.
    It proves that the user who requested the subscription/account controls the email address given.

  • TS4009 iCloud subscription renewed, but I don't have the storage.

    My iCloud subscription renewed on 14th October (Current Plan is stated at 10GB, so total 15GB).  It's 16th October and I have the message 'Your iCloud storage is full' and Total Storage is given as 5GB.  Backup isn't working.

    I was using my iPhone for company email a year ago, but I no longer need to do that. I deleted the global MDM(?) and after everything cleared out, the storage & backup tab came back.
